2001  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Started a 1k to 10k challenge in 20 days and it's going well! on: August 20, 2022, 05:22:25 AM
Isn't this rather difficult? I think you'd have to be extremely lucky early on to be able to actually make something happen, otherwise, your initial deposit just droops down to oblivion. Good luck though, you're already up close to halfway, might just make it with a few lucky trades.

And why would invest in meme coins and nfts if you are doing well with regular coins since it will only make your trading riskier. And worst part is you are trying to promote a coin that you know might get "hacked". Try shilling somewhere else please.
Meme coins and NFT's may be riskier but it also opens up a bigger opportunity for profits. It's why it's rather famous for newbie investors since the pumps and dumps in those markets are big, so taking advantage of them can prove to have profits in the short term (but ofc, not in the long term). Additionally, I think OP is just joking or memeing around since it isn't exactly weird for an altcoin to rugpull saying they got "hacked". Not to mention I don't think he's actually promoting it or anything.
2002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of psychological tricks that casinos use. on: August 19, 2022, 11:05:03 PM
It's not only in casinos really, most businesses would have a trick or two that they do when it comes to say, arranging their products, the order that the customers see from when they enter to the very end kind of thing.
3. Cashless Games - You buy credit for slots or chips, so you also may not be able to keep track of your money.
Basically how arcades work. It also dulls their sense of money since you don't get money in return in some of their games, you get tickets instead which you can redeem with. Since they don't have a clear translation for how much each ticket is worth, it kind of just goes ignored and let's people enjoy the game without minding it. I think some of the simpler tricks that you'd see would be the prizes and promos that they have that make you think you're at an advantage by redeeming it, but it's actually all the same for them. Also in irl casinos, you'd see that most of them has this like party going kind of atmosphere which influences you're mood in a positive way even if you're losing.
2003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 19, 2022, 11:48:32 AM
I don't think that's how it works? And even if the game they play is like what you said, I don't think the casino that would sponsor them would tell them to play on that specific game since as you said, it kills the entire pot, at least for a certain amount of time. The casinos in no way would ever influence the chances of a streamer winning, that'd require them to do some backdoor rigging which would have probably been noticed in the long term imo. The most I could say that is like that would be some online crane streams where staff would assist in trying to make it a "tad bit" easier to get the prize BUT letting the viewers know that it's actually happening, and not a "behind the scenes" kind of thing.

They're mostly there for enjoyment, and maybe for a casino hyping their events up or something. Maybe giveaways as well as prizes, promos, etc. Most of the stuff that a viewer receives from a streamer are just "add-ons", they'd still gamble imo as usual without it or not. It's just a nice bonus, a cherry on top.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me answering a survey for my dissertation on: August 19, 2022, 03:55:58 AM
Okay, it wasn't my intention but if this was a dissertation why can I leave answers on the second-page blank? Originally didn't notice but my dumbass at the last question missed the choice I picked and auto-moved to the next button which finished the survey. There's also the fact that I seem to be able to fill it up again, which afaik should be possible to be disabled. Might've needed google sign in but from what I know, as long as the email isn't a question itself then it wouldn't save the email as part of the response. I think the form itself checks whether you've answered the form and has its own storage of users who answered (Do correct me if I'm wrong).
2005  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Do You Think About UFO Catcher? on: August 18, 2022, 11:57:24 PM
This kind of game can indirectly teach children about gambling because they buy coins with a certain amount of money to play in certain games. If they can't win, they lose the coins and have to use another coin if they want to play.
If you go strictly by the definition of gambling, then no not really since these types of machines use other types of tokens to be able to play and you're technically not getting money back but rather items. Not to mention claw machines aren't strictly luck-based games.

I wouldn't really consider this as them learning of addiction or considering this as gambling, rather this kind of thing actually gives off an entertainment vibe instead due to the prizes that you'd be able to receive or redeem. It's pretty far from it to be honest. If I were to be completely blunt though, it's just business. If this was considered gambling, a LOT of businesses would be considered as one imo.
2006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ban in China and some noble countries. on: August 18, 2022, 10:04:46 AM
Bitcoin was more of a case where they wanted to make their own (which was a success), and pretty much replace it with what they made so that it's still under control. It'd probably also be against them if they were to turn it back after so long. I'd actually imagine that China is using the idea of NFT minus the usage of it in a decentralized blockchain, basically putting the idea to use but under their own control and administration. I'd say it's actually like China to do it like that. I wouldn't really mind it imo unless you're a Chinese citizen, I'd reckon the system they use (or planning to use) would mostly be centered around their country anyway and doesn't really reach out in foreign countries.
2007  Economy / Gambling / Re: I Have a Question ~ Are 1xbit Campaigners Playing on 1xbit? on: August 18, 2022, 05:31:18 AM
There are like 2 replies from 1xbit users out of 6 pages of replies, I think the silence from them basically answers what OP requested in itself imo. Not to mention that both answers don't actually answer the question, (which is a simple yes and no tbf). I'd actually just say that most of them actually aren't playing on the site or don't even gamble in general at all. Wouldn't really surprise me if a person who doesn't know jack about gaming suddenly made an article advertising a game (It's a thing alright), same thing here imo.
2008  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why there is so much resistance at $23k price on: August 18, 2022, 12:18:47 AM
Shouldn't it be $25k? We're presently at $23k and we even moved up to $24k afaik. If you're saying that it's because we went back to $23k, then it's just that, it failed the check at $25k so it dropped down. Wouldn't really consider it to be that big imo, its something that often happens anyway. Not to mention that we've only been around a month in ever since Bitcoin dipped to the $20k levels from above $30k. Wouldn't really expect (nor want) a big pump all of a sudden.
2009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc crime on: August 17, 2022, 11:57:35 PM
Recently 3 suspects were arrested by Israel police for laundering money internationally through crypto. This money was stolen from France. This is a major international money-laundry.
So is every other money-laundering case that used fiat. Pretty sure we should be blaming the people involved that did the crime instead of anything else.

However, these Treasury reports revealed that fiat currency and traditional networks still account for more criminal flows than cryptocurrencies.

“The use of virtual assets for money laundering remains far below that of fiat currency and more traditional methods,” the U.S. Treasury shared.
2010  Economy / Economics / Re: How micro payments can help to alleviate global poverty on: August 17, 2022, 01:27:09 PM
We should also find ways for people with those phones to execute tasks that will enable 1st world countries to pay those people with "cheap" micro payments. (Lightning Network) ...example : translation services / typing / spell checking / sorting of data etc...etc.
That would come to question whether people in Africa are even capable of being able to do those services. It's not exactly an environment where learning is readily available (afaik), especially since the majority don't have access to the internet, quick look-up indicated that only 22% of the country had access.(and even then, I'd still think it'd require a lot of work to transition them from being able to offer these services). Before giving them actual tools to prove their skills, it'd 100% be better to make them or let them develop it first beforehand.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How profitable Is investing in a crypto casino or sportbook? on: August 17, 2022, 04:25:24 AM
This article is probably what you are looking for,
Quote
Crypto casinos usually make between 5-15% off everything deposited by gamblers. Casinos with larger numbers of gamblers will make more, but this depends on how much users stake in their bets. Like any casino, crypto casinos with high-end gamblers are more profitable than other casinos.

You can find more blogs on the net if you want to look for other opinions.

The numbers will be vague unless you see their actual records but I bet crypto casinos make more money than fiat casinos if the number of customers and bets are the same since they are less regulated and taxed hehe.
So about the same as the article OP mentioned then I guess? At the minimum of 5% that is, which I imagine is rather true since crypto casinos and fiat casinos would generally be the same imo. Even if there were changes as you said with the taxes, I don't think it'd be that big since it'd call to reason that it'd then be regulated if it actually was.

I am also interested in how much crypto bookmakers earn on partnerships with football clubs. Any information or link to an article would be appreciated!
Here's an article to read: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/26/tech-gambling-alcohol-helped-nfl-earn-almost-2-billion-in-sponsorships.html

NFL is big though, so it may not be the case across all sponsorships, not to mention this isn't exactly with crypto itself. Here's another article that involves crypto itself though.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/12/14/cryptocurrency-companies-take-multi-million-dollar-step-into-sports.html

To quote the specific part I found, (Not a football club though)
Quote
Crypto.com signed a $175 million deal with Endeavor-owned UFC that sees its logo appear on the apparel worn by athletes during competition, which followed a $100 million sponsorship deal it signed with Formula 1, owned by Liberty Media.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: August 16, 2022, 10:56:47 PM
main factor was he got very lucky!
Basically summed up the entirety of his experience. There'd always be instances like his in our lives, it just became more apparent in his case imo due to the fact that he did it at that point in time, at a point where he needed money. I mean, I might not need money immediately but I can still gamble and win big. Right place at the right time I guess.

Sometimes, when you feel like everything is falling on your head, you consider putting it all on the line at one go, into a single bet. People do it to end the suffering and be done with waiting. Either they win and get back on their feet or they see it all going to 0 and move on. That's what he did by going to a casino and it worked, but I don't recommend it. 2 out of 3 times it won't work and then you're really in deep shit. I'd rather sell the business and start over than put it all on the line in a casino.
Actually an interesting take. If he had failed, he would've basically been forced to start 0, which in the end I guess is kind of a closure to all the problems he would've had which would've honestly been a lot better than trying to fix a fixless problem.
2013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be open to any possibility on: August 16, 2022, 11:46:31 AM
Well, it's a lot easier to adopt analysis on stuff that would make sense compared to, well, something that doesn't. Not that I'm denying it or anything, it has happened already after all but it also doesn't deny that Doge was simply a pump and dumb cycle repeat without any sense. I mean you yourself sold it so you also saw that it isn't exactly something you would have held and judged that there was no sense in holding it (and might've been better for other assets).

I don't really think you selling them back then was a mistake OP, rather you regretting it right now and blaming what, others, maybe yourself as well for not seeing the future, well now that's a mistake. No one can see the future in the first place.
2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for best casino on: August 16, 2022, 04:13:12 AM
~
Not necessarily because everyone who plays gambling wants to find comfort in gambling so even though we have suggested the best casino site, it is not necessarily that he will get that comfort. We can only suggest many trusted and reputable sites but he still has to find what he wants and that means he has to try what we suggest to him one by one. I'm sure if he can look it up based on our suggestions, he will probably find 2 or more casinos that can give him comfort in playing gambling.
The main issues with casinos being handpicked instead of only one being used are mainly due to the coins used on them and the ease of access to the site in terms of deposit/withdrawal options and, well, access to the site itself. It's not exactly rare or odd and I doubt others haven't seen it, but there are some casinos that do not allow access to specific countries. Even with VPN, there'd still be users who wouldn't exactly like going to casinos that do not allow them. Then there's bonuses and such, which is another thing altogether.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Problem Gambler Feels After Losing on: August 15, 2022, 10:29:54 PM

Gambling is a way to get rich in a short time.  So it attracts more people age of 20-40 years.  Because people of this age are more inclined towards money.  Then they get greedy and waste their hard-earned money by gamble. And they lose gambling and go into depression.  Which creates turmoil in their family.
We can't commonly term gambling as a way to get rich. It needs to be very specific, which means gambling is way to get rich for the luckiest. The age group between 20-40 have big commitments and the same makes people risk their hard earned money. Many people have made fortune out of gambling, for the same we should not believe it to come with is.
It's almost the same sickness as beginner traders of crypto feel to be fair, they feel like if they got lucky then it's a really easy way to get rich, but the thing is, it's called "lucky" for a reason. Not to mention that if we saw the said luck in social media being announced then here's a surprise (not really), media news only announce positive news, they don't really say 1 out of xxxx amount but rather just the amount of winners/lucky people.

Gambling is thought of as a way to get rich in a short time.  So it attracts more people age of 20-40 years.  Because people of this age are more inclined towards money.  Then they get greedy and waste their hard-earned money by gamble. And they lose gambling and go into depression.  Which creates turmoil in their family.
There, corrected it for you. It's never a guaranteed method. It's only a (hopeful) thought of most people who get into gambling.
2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your General Feeling After Playing In Casino In the last 10 session on: August 15, 2022, 11:23:08 AM
I'm always excited to come back after my sessions and the majority of my sessions are like that I experienced winning in my first minutes then losing everything then regaining half of my wager then losing it all, the feeling of enjoyment is like a roller coaster ride you win you want to quit but you want to continue the excitement, I'm just glad that I'm using money that I'm comfortable losing, which should always be the case.

It's rare for me to see a gambler like you dude with that kind of attitude. I just saw that while gambling, apart from having fun, you are also comfortable even if in the end you lose playing casino gambling. I admire your attitude like that. It's like it's so hard to feel comfortable with the joy of losing. Let me try what you do. Keep it up Sir.
It's actually pretty normal if you go outside of gambling and go into the general idea of a "gaming" experience. I guess casinos take it to a next level since it involves money but if you consider it, simple gaming kind of involves money as well since you use your time to play it. It isn't that obvious but they should really be taken in as the same thing imo.

Being entertained is the goal of both casinos and players but when we gamble we bring with it our character if we have a risky behavior chance is we become compulsive in our bets and decisions if we are mature guys we become responsible and treat gambling as another form of entertainment, gambling should not hone us, our education outside of casino should be our guide in everything.
I mean you can be risky in casinos imo, just keep it in there and don't bring anything else inside or outside once you start a session. It's just simply letting yourself loose at an environment you want BUT limiting yourself in that specific environment.
2017  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino2x.xyz NO KYC! Instant crypto deposit! Only in house games! on: August 15, 2022, 04:11:37 AM
I'm rather confused with what markk1's claim is, according to OP minimum deposit was $20 yet markk1 was able to deposit $1? Wondering if markk1 was able to access the site prior to the system being updated for the $20 requirement or something, but anyway not that it's changed he can't really do anything but deposit the said amount.

Anyhow welcome to the forum! A number of games still seems small so you might want to get some providers to expand it, plus improvement of the UI so far. It might also be better to add a checkbox mark on the start where you ask the user if they accept your TOS when entering instead of a close/login button just to make it easeir for people to know what to do when entering (if they don't want to login/register anyway).
2018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu pumping , why? Hold or Sell? on: August 14, 2022, 11:44:40 PM
Checked their Twitter and the most recent news about development was about their game. I think the recent pump was too much for it to call just that, so it might've been a whale that's temporarily pumping it with the game dev announcement being a coverup for it. Would set up stop-loss and just adjust it if the price continues to rise up. I'd think you'd be able to profit in the short term considering how the hype about the new releases they'd have would probably last for a bit. Maybe until the release of the game.
2019  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people more and more people depend from this on: August 14, 2022, 03:56:47 AM
You'd be asking this if you were shorting Bitcoin or you're basically a newbie trader who needs to look at how much their investment lost or grew, which is dumb. It's like min-maxing to an extreme degree, to the point that even if you profit, it isn't worth it (not to mention you might not even profit that often). Even people who short probably don't overdo it. Not to mention doing it like that tend to create panic moves even though the price decreased by only 1-3% or so, you'd sell it and then buy again at a higher price, inevitably lowering the initial investment you had bit by bit.
2020  Economy / Economics / Re: Tips to save my finances, to grow personal economy on: August 14, 2022, 12:20:58 AM
An additional tip I got was to stop paying for monthly subscriptions if you can. Some of them aren't exactly needed or there's a better and cheaper alternative, they're more of like a premium kind of thing imo. I also constantly DCA out of my salary so I can constantly invest so as to not let my money just, well, sit there on my bank doing nothing. I'm starting to look for possible ways to invest in properties/land, kind of like a faraway thing but I'm preparing for it now.
