What I meant was no refund for the total purchase, the hashrate is off by 25%, I understand that there could be electronic issues but deal is a deal and they should offer full refund along with compansation they will be offering and let the buyers decide.

Since they announced that they will match the $/Gh paid you must be crazy to want/ask for a full refund now. My GB members got 0.83$/GH for August delivery. Why would you refund that when the miner should be shipping soon (1-2 weeks)? Still can't get a better offer.

Then offer to buy me out at the BTC price I paid for my miner.
I want out of this damn BTC mining game and this 2TH/s short speed is not going to work for me.

A partial refund today only gets me a small amount of my money back now as an interest free loan.
Being that short on hashing speed loses me mining income EVERY MONTH.
Honestly, I want a full refund, this Group Buy has turned into a huge headache for me.
I think I had a guarantee on this SP30 from you as well when I paid for my SP30.

My opinion of an option.....

1. Full refund
2. A second SP20 at a VERY LOW cost to make up for shortage of hash rate.

Not again the full BTC refund after BTC increased in value and with a no refund policy in place...

And it's not 2TH/s short. It's 0.9TH/s short. Most of the people bought a 5.4TH/s miner. The increase to 6TH/s was an added bonus afterwards.

You will get your paid SP30 don't worry and if you don't like it then eBay and Marketplace sub forum are your best friends.

Edit:
1. Full refund
2. A second SP20 at a VERY LOW cost to make up for shortage of hash rate.

Guy,

Please PM me to take a spot in the earlier group buy for the customers that want a refund. I will buy the miner with the new discount to be offered.
To remove any doubt when you say "Guy" you are referring to hardhouseinc, not to SP-Tech, right?
2022  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin difficulty may actually go down in ~7 days! on: July 29, 2014, 11:31:46 PM
Hmm well opened another Mining Speculation thread but if Asicminer starts putting up the hash it says it will then Bitcoin difficulty might start spiking within a few weeks if not in the next 7 days lol.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715480.0

Update

1. Due to the relatively lower interest from individual miners as well as OEM producers, the self mining has re-started from middle of July. We had gain access of cheap electricity and high power capacity. We hope to regain the average hashrate percentage similar to 2013 with this generation of chips.

Documented history of AM's hashrate for the people who forget those things or weren't around back then.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkPdXsQFT-vIdHRVUjQ5Ql9BQWR6OENLMkhyUktUblE#gid=9

And upcoming interview with Friedcat

Upcoming interview with Friedcat:
http://www.bitell.com/t/2026

So that will be fun for the hashrate lol.

I am reserved about that announcement. They have the chips, but putting them to work still requires A LOT of money for PCBs and the rest of the components + money for the DCs setup.

Let's say they have 60PH worth of chips in hand. Considering a low 0.5$/GH cost to put them to work (everything included even the DC) they still need 30M$ for that. Not sure that they have that money available.

So we have the best outcome possible. On time delivery and just a little worse specs than announced.

Only 60% worse.. no biggie.

Anyways I believe you have some homeless people to feed?

Still better than an over 300% miss for AM gen3 chips.

Will donate 0.1 BTC to Sean's for out bet in a couple of hours don't worry.

Official site, says PSUs are 1200 and nominal power 2500.
Not a sigle 2700W in the blog or product description.

Because it wasn't published on their website, but it was stated by Guy here on the forum.

2025  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 29, 2014, 10:04:54 PM
And all hosting quotes we got are for 2500W and no one saus a word to say it was 2700W (even hashplex hash SP30 listed as 2500W https://hashplex.com/frequently-asked-questions/)

Another problem could be pushing the PSUs to that limit, being server grade is not the same as "unlimited powa" a 10% over specs sounds risky so I hope the FW is on the safe zone to avoid burning the PSUs

Hashplex got the 2500W from the product page, but it was stated a long time ago that for the 6TH/s the units would need 2700W.

If you can point us where, it will be great.

Too lazy to check the official SP-Tech site? http://www.spondoolies-tech.com

Basically the co. over promised and under delivered, this is not the way to do business and is the reason why I will never buy a Pre-Sale, I bet the co. knew there would be issues with hardware hence no refund. Currently I only buy from companies that sell from stock, When Spondoolies sells from stock is the day I place an order.

So SP-Tech just announced that they will offer refunds and you say that there are no refunds. Why?

They've gone from 0.4w/GH to 0.67w/GH which significantly impacts both the running costs AND the length of time these will be viable to run.

There was never a 0.4w/GH for the full system. 0.5W/GH was what I used for my calculations and I am sure that downclocking will be possible just like with SP10.
2028  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 29, 2014, 09:30:47 PM
Yes, I will get my July sp30 in the next days.

I am obviously not immune in my desire to speculate, as any naturally curious person isnīt.

OK, then. We can make a poll as to what TH Sp-30 will be at:
In my opinion 4-4.5Th. If it is at 3-3.5 th-then it is a shocker.

Hit the top value of my range. Not bad at all.
3kw-they probably had to scramble for a new PSU (1600W).
0.67W/Gh-slightly better than S3, slightly worse than KnC

So we have the best outcome possible. On time delivery and just a little worse specs than announced. I'm satisfied with the speed since it's being delivered on time.

EEs please comment on how a 1200W supply can provide the 1500W of power.

I'm not an EE, but we saw this on SP10 too and since they are server grade PSUs they should be fine.
2029  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 29, 2014, 08:18:58 PM
Oh please, I have hawked AsicMiner and Bitmaintech in the last 2 hours on this thread.  Do you honestly believe they are paying me to go after you?  Why would they?  They ship quality products from in stock, and guess what, not a single of their units have ever exploded.  Guess those high quality parts are pretty easy to come by.

I'm sorry, but AM isn't shipping any product right now except for chips. (yes I know they will in the future)
2030  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 29, 2014, 01:55:47 PM
So now that the difficulty was going flat AM comes to screw things for all miners. Great!
2031  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 29, 2014, 01:09:50 PM
Letīs see the bacon!

Bacon!

First one to get his SP30 miner should donate some bacon to the rest of us waiting.
2032  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 28, 2014, 07:58:25 PM
If your GB stated $290 it should be $290 and nothing more regardless of power consumption. Those were the terms the customer agreed to.

People paid for the SP30 only. The hosting was a bonus offered to anyone that wanted. It wasn't enforced or anything and I am sure that it's based on the power consumption. The good thing is that I don't think that it will vary a lot because we can't push the PSUs a lot more than 2700W.
2033  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 28, 2014, 07:43:24 PM
In the official Spondoolies datacenter in Washington (which should be Titan), the rates are:

$0
$0
$400/mo to $500/mo, depending on whether you pay 3 months in advance or pay month-to-month.

You can see those rates on http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/collections/products.

You can view other hosting options in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622998.

I think the hosting fees the my SP30 GB will be lower. Waiting for the final specs any time now, but the original offer was for $290 per month. This may change depending on the power consumption.

Not that I don't like Spondoolies, but I have yet to get 1.4T out of any of my non-spondoolies hosted miners, maybe 1.2T.

Switch on 208-240V.
2037  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 25, 2014, 02:02:43 PM
Yet another company shows that smaller process node isn't necessarily that much better. Every one so far as failed to meet simulated results due to power/heat.

Until we have final numbers your statement doesn't apply.

Any updates plzzz  Huh

Only one day has passed. They said they need a couple.
2039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 24, 2014, 09:27:54 PM
and Neptune "scarce?"    batch 3 Neptunes  still up for preorder, and many Neptunes have been delivered, while not a single SP30 has hit the public yet.
Care to re-phrase or explain that statement a bit more because I see exactly the opposite?

From what I understood KnC hasn't shipped the whole batch 0 neptunes, while SP30 will be here on time. The fact that KnC still has batch 3 Neptunes still up for preorder with Q3 delivery doesn't mean that they can deliver on time just like they did with batch 0.

Let me know when you get your ROI with your Neptune.

go f.... every other hardware company Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue
i had my neptune hashing at 3.5-3.6 th at wall is 1750w

go knc go Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

You (same as me, but refunded) paid 12.5k$ for that neptune and you are hashing for 3 weeks, while I paid 19k$ for 3xSP30. I have a feeling I will get my ROI before you.
