2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: December 14, 2022, 09:12:55 PM
It seems that we're now down to Argentina, Morocco and France. Argentina was far superior than Croatia and did an amazing game. So, the majority of punters are predicting we will have Argentina facing France on the finals, but I still believe the Moroccan team can beat France. Lets hope so.

They just couldn't hang with France today.  Highly impressed, they ran through Belgium, Spain, Portugal, etc.  And before today only allowed one goal and it was an own goal.  In the end, theor lack of possession finally got to them.  Kudos to them though it was a good showing on theor end.

Lots of games again later guys Cheesy For those bettors who was unlucky today, like me, let's try our luck again tomorrow.

Here are some of my early picks for the games tomorrow:

Golden State Warriors -1 vs Indiana Pacers
Miami Heat -2.5 vs Oklahoma City Thunders
Atlanta Hawks -2.5 vs Orlando Magic

Goodluck!

Thanks I probably tail you will this one.

Although GSW will travel and they are not known to be a good road them, but I think they can cover and win against the Pacers.

Magic is struggling, Hawks is .500 team so most likely they will get the W against the Magic.

Thunder have lost 3 games already and I think the Heat will make it 4.

I too am taking this trio.  The odds seems super tight where they shoudlnt be, something is up.  But hey I will go, also riding my knicks on the road getting 2 points.  So long as jalen brunson is a go I'm in on it.  If he is sitting I'm gonna lay off the Knicks, they will struggle to create on offense.
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 14, 2022, 09:09:00 PM
France to play World Cup final. Congrats!

France 2-0 Morocco

T. Hernández 5‎'‎
R. Kolo Muani 79‎'

Lol I was waiting for Mbappe to score too I placed a bet there unfortunately he didn't or maybe he's waiting in the important match when facing Argentina
Anyway congrats to France they get what they aim for and only one step away from repeating the success of winning the World Cup for the second time in a row
Mbappe and Messi will prove to each other that one of them will be the best.

I always feel like betting on the favorite to score is such poor odds.  People tend to bet Messi, mbappe, etc which skews the odds in the wrong favor.  I haven't found it but I wish I could bet the other way betting that those individuals don't score.  Either way the final is shaping up to be a great show.  Will we see Messi bring it home or mbappe added to his already historic start to a career.
2024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Brazil Fan Token Down 60% After Losing to Croatia on: December 12, 2022, 09:56:52 PM
Brazil Fan Token launched by the Brazilian government and the Brazilian football federation
BTF Token cryptocurrency is a national fan of Brazilian football. It dropped 50% in a few hours and about 60% in 24 hours after losing against Croatia at the FIFA World Cup in penalty shootout.

The Brazilian government and football federation launched the Brazil Fan Token on August 25, 2021. The token offers an exclusive experience for investors and sports fans around the world.

Lol did you really expect this to be anymore more than just some sort of fad because of the world cup.  There is absolutely no reason this token even needs to exist.  I mean honestly I'm surprised that anyone even buys this to begin with.  Greed makes people do silly things.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 12, 2022, 09:55:16 PM
Been on a good run lately and think there are some favorable spreads out there tonight.  Couple home games I like so far

Knicks -2 at home.  Yep sac is good but west coast trip is tough and knicks are gelling on the defensive side.

I will go on the opposite side mate, I will be the Sacramento Kings against your Knicks, this will be a big test for them on the road against a tough East team, so ML @2.20 will be a big risk but I will take it.

Bucks vs Houston - I'm taking the Bucks to win -9.5 at the road against the young Rockets team.

Bucks losing to the Houston Rockets is definitely the upset of the day, losing Khris Middleton to injury just barely after 6 minutes must have had its effect on the team mentally, but I still didn't expect the Bucks simply without Middleton to not be able to get a win over the Houston Rockets, but truth be told the Rockets actually deserved their for the incredible job they did to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo at bay for his joint season-lowest number points in a game, and that means the chances to closer to within one win to match the Boston Celtics record of 21-6 best in the league.

Yeah, didn't expect that the Bucks are going to lose on the Rockets.

So congrats to everyone, to @wheelz1200 for sticking to his New York team hehehehe.

Watch the Pelicans vs Suns, goes into OT. But without Ayton and Chris Paul in the Overtime, they can't do that much and then Zion and CJ taking the lead for the Pelicans

It was a semi Homer bet for my knicks lol.  But honestly any west coast team coming east it's difficult because of the time change.  Same for east going west but slightly different.  I put more emphasis on those trips than most people.  Tough part is Sacramento is so good ATS this year, knicks are around 50% given that fox was out and the trip I had to take them.  They have a solid defensive rotation now with grimes sticking some of the best players on each task backcourt.
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 12, 2022, 09:44:26 PM
Last year there was a close MVP race between him Jokic and Giannis. One advantage Jokic has is that he remains consistent while Joel went down and got injured and so he didn't win the Award. But if he continues his performance like this and not be injured, I think he has a high chance to win this year no doubt.

He has a good supporting cast as well, lead by Harden and the Melton and Milton and Tobias Harris.

Gonna be a good Eastern showdown as who will be the team to beat with the Bucks (although they lost) and the Celtics as well.
Interesting thing Jokic is that people got used to him, I mean sure he can score decently, and he rebounds a bit like a centre should, but he passes so well and the games go through him, that was a new thing, a brand new type of "point centre" basically, he was the best, not the first of course, like Pau Gasol for example was one of the best passing big men we have seen, but at MVP level?

Jokic was the first ever. That is why I believe that he got some good votes, but people are used to him so they are not going to really vote for him too much this year. People are wanting to see something new, and if Doncic could get his team into at least 6th seed, I feel like he would get it for sure.

Yeah jokic transcends his position.  There is no one with both the vision of a top notch point guard and the ability to play like one in a centers body.  If you watch him play he rarely makes a mistake.  Not to say he doesn't turn it over but the decision is the right one whether or not he executes it correctly.  Dude could win mvp every year and justifiably so.

Knicks -2 at home.  Yep sac is good but west coast trip is tough and knicks are gelling on the defensive side.

Sixers -10.5 at home against the Hornets.  Think this is actually low sixers should blow them out.

Last for now gimme the Lakers-5.5 on the road against Detroit.  Yeah Lakers on the road but they should take this game easily.  They need to win these games and they know this.  They should win easily.

Good luck everyone and enjoy the games!
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 11, 2022, 10:14:48 PM
I saw a post in Facebook, saying that Zion do it deliberately because Phoenix eliminated them last year's playoff when he was not around.

So maybe he was just sending a message that it will be very different if this two will face each other again in the first round. Not sure though if this is the way it should be played. I mean they are already doing some trash talking themselves, CP3 and Booker in the side of the Phoenix. The thing is that they can't back it up just like the in Mavs series last season. Anyhow, yeah, NBA might be evolving, teams competitive fire are higher this early.

I think people made big fuss about that, it's not that deep. It's an unwritten rule to not play the last ball but CP3 also used that to layup so I don't understand why Suns players pissed off too much. In general I prefer to see every second to play instead of waiting for a final whistle, at least we Europeans learned that way.
That was a nice dunk by the way, people want Zion to participate this year's Dunk Contest. I hope we can see him there.

Right or wrong it's a respect thing, once the game is finalized most teams hold the ball to the final whistle and in the same respect the defense doesn't go hard fouling a team at the very end of the game.  Just one of those unwritten rules.  I mean I get it, big deal but imagine if someone went and fouled him hard, everyone from the Pelicans would flip out too because why play defense when it doesn't matter right?  That's why the mutual ypu don't do it we won't either and it breaks that rule.  Protects guys all around from getting unnecessarily hurt.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 11, 2022, 10:10:02 PM
Ohh no matter what , can we please have Argentina vs France in final ? Grin Cause in this way, we are locked in for sure in a spectacular game from start to finish with most likely France winning it again which will be crazy! Last country who manage to defend the title was Brazil and it was quite a long time ago and France has the greatest chance right now to achieve what Italy and Brazil did.

I'm of the complete opposite.  I want to see morroco and Croatia battle for it all.  Unless you are a fan of one of the other teams how does it not get better than that?  Guaranteed a winner from a team who has never won it and quite possibly from a team who's entire continent has never won it.  Would be a pack it in final and definitely a low scoring game but that's what I want to see.
2030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: December 11, 2022, 10:07:52 PM
Will leave the ff talk aside since I've been left in the dust.  The first half of the giants game was brutal probably the worst game of the year for them.  I mean injuries sucl and it's showing on the defensive side but are the Eagles this good?  I thought the beginning of the season they'd flatten out a bit but they seem to be getting better.  As a giants fan I hate to say this but jalen hurts is the real deal.  Dude plays almost flawlessly out there, makes me think giants should part ways with Jones this offseason and start over...again.  uhg.  Such a good start to the year coming back to earth now.
2031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Scam History in the Cryptocurrency on: December 10, 2022, 09:55:34 PM
What is funny is that all the scams listed about were not even real cryptocurrencies but rather ponzi/pyramid schemes masquerading as the "next big coin" or the "next bitcoin"
Onecoin in particular had this kind of advertising, where they used Bitcoin's historic growth to convince their victims to join the Ponzi scheme. And then there was Bitcoinnect, if I recall well, it was even listed on coinmarketcap  Grin

And the even bigger funnier thing is a lot of people saw them as just that but still put money into it.  Greed is a funny thing it will make people do crazy things.  The old if it sounds too good to be true than it is just doesn't matter in crypto.  And even crazier is we probably haven't even seen the biggest scam yet.  Plenty more to come but people won't learn from history.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 10, 2022, 09:53:11 PM

Like I saw a vision, I am the only person that voted for Morocco in this poll, and it looks like it is coming to pass, Morocco on their way to the finals, semi finals have just been secured, one more team to beat now and there they go.

@Agbe
Brazil is out,
Portugal is out
I think you should update the poll with current team that have secured their semi final matches.
We have just one more match between England and France, this match will tell whether France will continue to be on this poll or they will be replaced by England, it's been an incredible world cup experience so far, hoping for more surprises.

That's sheer throwing a dart at the dart board no way you had them beating Belgium, and then the likes of Spain and then Portugal.  Now they need to beat France and then would have to beat the winner of Croatia who made last fi al or powerhouse Argentina.  I mean could it happen yeah.  But there is no vision there, that's just riding a long shot or your home country no other way to see that happening.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 10, 2022, 05:44:04 PM
The Suns vs Pelicans had an interesting ending. Look it up on Twitter. Zion got the ball and did a 360 windmill dunk on a fast break after the win was already secured. This made the Suns pretty angry and nearly started a brawl. I think the Suns are a little full of themselves all the sudden. Devon Booker and Chris Paul are a couple of the biggest prima donnas in the NBA now. I don’t like it…

Dunk away Zion! Nobody in the NBA can do shit to you. Smiley

One of those unwritten Bush league rules.  All of the drama is just jockeying for the next time they play.  No one likes getting smashed in the face.

But in other news, knicks playing a nice couple of games lately.  Thibs definitely is only playing 9 amd the rotation is set.  A little miffed cam is getting more run at least to boost his trade value if he isn't part of the plan.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 10, 2022, 05:40:13 PM
Bunch of good games on tonight, so far after going through everything I'm picking up four of them all home games.

1) knicks -2 vs Hawks (they owe them a beating)
2) toronto-12.5 on Lakers.  Second game of a back to back and Lakers without Bron and AD this should get ugly quick
3) Memphis-8 why? Ja.  Dude is different love betting Memphis
4) bucks -6 at home.  Love Celtics and bucks at home only giving a couple points norther the team.

Good luck everyone.

4 bets 4 wins!  Think it's my first 4 for 4 of the year.  Been an up and down year.  Tonight I got 2 home teams and 1 away team here.

I like Miami at home -6 vs Clippers.  East cost trip is tough and I like Miami at home.
Gimme the road dogs Denver getting a point against Portland.  Hate betting against Dame but jokic is just too good.

And last gimme the Spurs at home getting a point.  This one is a 50/50 in my head so I always like running with the home squad.

Good luck everyone tonight.

2 for 3 last night would have been all 3 but a late layup by Clippers made it a 5 point win by Miami instead of 7.  Brutal ending betting wise.  But got redeemed with that Murray 3 pointer to win in Portland with .9 seconds left.  The vetting gods taketh and then they giveth!

Tonight I like a couple games so far.

Gimme bucks in Dallas even odds to win.
Pelicans getting +1.5 points at home against the Suns
And the Grizzlies-10.5 at home against Detroit.  I might tease that score higher I think this is a blowout.

Good luck tonight.

Clean sweep 3 for 3.  On a nice roll here I like 3 games tonight hoping for another clean sweep!:

All home games.
Cleveland -5.5 at home
Bulls -2 against Dallas
Denver Nuggets-8 at home
And last but definitely not least...Golden state +2.5 points against Boston.  Boston has been great but west vast trips are tough and gs at home getting points doesn't come around too often.

Good luck everyone!
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 10, 2022, 05:34:02 PM
This is the first time a team from a European country has advanced from the quarter-finals to the semi-finals. Morocco vs Portugal in this game, Morocco won the biggest record in history. Today's match has really made the audience of the ground very happy. Portugal's loss in the match effectively ended their World Cup aspirations especially as Ronaldo was ruled out of his last World Cup. It was a really sad moment for Portugal and a very happy moment for Morocco.

You mean first time for an African country but yes we are witnessing history.  Honestly morroco should have won by much more they had some excellent opportunities even though they just possessed at a 23% rate.  Portugal just couldn't put anything on frame.  Pete had an excellent chance but his header went wide.  Morroco deserved this one.
2036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: December 09, 2022, 10:19:50 PM
I came across a post where an advise was ditch out
for newbies like myself not to get involved in new projects,
due to the risk that follows.

But with all honestly, Some project with 3 to 7 months old have one time becomes Scam, Good  example is OKS CHAIN. The project was over 2 years old, yet end up being scam, as the CEO and other dev cart away with so much money. And abandoned the project.

My experience tells me that everything involves around crypto project, Is about risk, except for the president of them all ( Bitcoin ), The vice ( Ethereum ) and the child ( Binance ). Investing in any of these 3 gives risk free system. As they say experience is the best teacher in life.

So i strongly disagreed with the term of " do not invest in a brand new project " to be risk free. A lot of new project has yielded x50
of my investment to me most of the time, What i usually do, Once they're up, i take off with my investment and interest. This is my experiences.
And i strongly believes by doing this, Will yield high success to everyone and also helps you to minimize the risk of lossing all your funds.

I can guess that more times than not people end up losing money in the alt market than win.  For everyone that makes 50x their money there is probably a 100 people who lose it all.  Most of all these projects are useless and built just to create wealth for the founders, creators, devs, whatever you want to call them.  The BEST advise you can give is to steer clear.  There is plenty of money to be made on established projects.

Well it's going to penalties but this has to be the best single day of the quarter finals ever.  The Dutch in the last second brought it to extra time and Croatia down 1 in extras in the final minutes scored as well.  Argentina looked the better team today so I hope they go through.  Netherlands looked good for about 10 minutes but that's all it takes.

I just can't take this result man. Croatia just parked the bus and somehow carried the game to the penalty shoot-outs. This is like the most boring kind of game strategy I have ever seen. Of course I know that they were the underdog and they needed to play more carefully. But I just don't believe they deserved to advance.

It is a huge disappointment for Brazil. They really tried their best from the beginning to the end. Neymar's goal was a result of a great organization and I was like "That's it!". But Croatia still scored the goal somehow. Brazil needed to be more aware in defense after getting ahead.

Croatia played smart they baited Brazil into only having a couple back.  How can Brazil get caught like that with minutes to go, it was a game long strategy to bait them up front.  Brazil got caught and Croatia knew they probably had the advantage once they got to pks. Gotta hand it to them they could have packed it in after the Newmar goal.

I've been hearing the prospect about this kid, Wenbanyama. Where he's possibly going to be when he's going to enter the NBA? There's the picking/draft round but there's also the other ways of acquiring him by most teams through possible exclusive contract or buying his contract to the current league he's in.
Is he really that like a future or just an overhyped? I don't wish him to end up but I don't also want people to expect a lot just as mostly thought of Oden.

There is no other way he lands on an nba team other than going through the draft for him.  He will 100% be drafted 1st pick in the first round.  That team will have the rights to him and he can't go on any other team.  From what I've seen he is the real deal.  Problem with young kids that tall is that physically they have thatch up against men.  Could break down his body.  If his body holds up he should be real good.
