VE, I am sure you are incorrect! Yes its frustrating when Ken ignores our pleas
to find out what is going on with our hardware, but I very much doubt we are hating Ken more and more. Even with the amount I could lose I don't hate Ken at all. You really must chill out.
2022  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 06:20:16 PM
After looking through the various exchanges, we currently have only two semi-legal options:

https://796.com/

And

https://www.havelockinvestments.com/

All the other exchanges currently available are for play money only and not legal at all. Remember there is no fully legal exchange for Bitcoin securities at the moment, but the two above have done more than anyone else.

I understand the long term view is to be listed on a decentralized exchange however for the next 2-3 months this is not possible, and its within the next 2-3 months that a lot of trading will occur due to the eASIC chips coming online.

I really do not want to be listed on another play money exchange. At least have some type of licence for money transmission etc...

Does anyone disagree?
2023  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] BTCINVE.COM btc investment exchange on: November 17, 2013, 06:06:55 PM
For now it is, as we are operating legally. We are registred as a game creators and digital entertainers. We still have 3 steps to follow when our country laws will accept ltc/btc/cryptos as currency and will still operate as legal business. We are doing most for the security and double that for legal part.

Neil

I don't want to belittle the technical work you have put into your exchange as it seems to very clean and well designed. However you have to admit most people in Bitcoin securities are now waiting for that first legal exchange so that they can trade with confidence.

Even if your country does not accept Bitcoin as a currency you must still licence as an exchange of securities.

We are registred as a game creators and digital entertainers.

The trading of $millions worth of stock cannot be licenced under games and entertainment, your own securities commision will not let that pass.

This plan of "play money" until your country recognizes crypto currencies does not inspire confidence.
2024  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] BTCINVE.COM btc investment exchange on: November 17, 2013, 05:55:55 PM
Is this being defined as a play exchange similar to how BTCT.co was run?

2025  Economy / Securities / Re: Is Poker by Proxy too good to be true? on: November 17, 2013, 04:46:03 PM
Well, it's a scam. But i think they're very patient, judging from the amount of effort they have put in it, with the fancy videos and everything.
Kind of like inputs.io, i suppose...

What videos? I really want to check those out! All I see is a static site with several pages, nothing special.
2026  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 04:43:44 PM
I don't normally come on here and post anything negative, however; yet again another "news" article which mentions every single one of our competitors with no mention of ActM/VMC or a quote from Ken....

http://mobile.businessweek.com/articles/2013-11-14/2014-outlook-bitcoin-mining-chips-a-high-tech-arms-race

ASICMINER was not mentioned either. Everyone has a hardon these days for private companies and rejoice for a small few individuals to make all the profits. It seems there are only two public companies left, us and ASICMINER.

I am sure if we gain several % of the network we will become more well known and talked about.
2027  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 03:49:41 PM
I will buy the Older miners for $12 per GH/s

Thats about 15 - 19 Bitcoin when they are making 2.8 per week.

I am certain you would lose money on that deal.
2028  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 02:49:02 PM
Our mining revenue is now down to about 0.4 Bitcoin per day for a weekly dividend of 0.00000028 per share.
2029  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Zerocoin proofs reduced by 98%, will be released as an alternative coin. on: November 17, 2013, 12:37:48 PM
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1qtevg/zerocoin_reduces_proof_size_by_98_plans_to/

Of course the Bitcoin developers can easily take the improvements and add them into Bitcoin, making the alt-coin redundant.

However the time between release and testing to implementation into Bitcoin is important. If we wait too long Zerocoin might become a thing on its own and a worthy competitor (Especially if the Bitcoin developers refuse to add zerocoin because of the US government)

Remember that yes, we scoff at the alt-coins because they bring nothing new to the table, however an early developer of Bitcoin once said that if an alternative coin overtakes Bitcoin for no reason, it will destroy all confidence in crypto-currencies, but remember that this alt-coin would be the first ever to bring something truly beneficial and novel to the table.

We want this functionality, but in case Zerocoin does become a competitor getting in early might be a wise move to hedge against the prospect that the Bitcoin developers deciding that anonymous crypto-currency is bad.

Ok I have a question that Ken can answer and cannot possibly be NDA related.

For each mining machine, how much money does it cost to make the case, board, PSU, ram, etc... vs how much you are selling them for?

If the other components cost too much and selling does not make that up, then just running a mining farm might be worth it. Also Ken you said half of mining dividends go back into the company, so the current 24 bitcoin dividend, does only 12 get paid out to us? Also profit from selling mining machines, if half profit ours and half to be re-invested. Ken you can answer those questions.

And I will ask this one again but get no answer, when is the exchange happening and when will we be mining for real???

2032  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Ukyo a plan to runaway with our Coins? on: November 17, 2013, 10:33:38 AM
My utmost apologies. I get attacked in blind defence of Ukyo often lately, I thought it was one of those attempts.....

No worries Smiley

I also find it odd why he having so much trouble withdrawing peoples funds. Does he use a different software to everyone else? The exchanges seem to send Bitcoin out fine...
2033  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Ukyo a plan to runaway with our Coins? on: November 17, 2013, 10:18:08 AM
If Ukyo was a scammer he would have paid off Lophie first!

i don't know what you mean exactly but let me give you a hint of how grownups talk. they discuss and refute eachothers' arguments. We as humans outgrew faeces throwing, Every form of it

- Lophie

Dude, he owes you under 20 Bitcoin, what I meant is if he was scamming he would pay you off because he can at least afford that to stop you causing so much noise.

2034  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: November 17, 2013, 09:53:15 AM
I'm receiving daily dividends from Ukyo and Graet.loan bonds. When should I withdraw the coins? When is the deadline for last withdrawal / when will be the last payment for bonds?

Where are the dividends being paid to? If they are being paid to Bitfunder you might want to hold off thinking they are real, many people complaining about Ukyo being unable to honor WeEchange withdrawals. I think that Ukyo is just overwhelmed and not scamming but I have been a bad judge of character before.

2037  Economy / Securities / Re: Is Poker by Proxy too good to be true? on: November 17, 2013, 09:06:19 AM

True, and in most cases we would be wrong to exponentially extrapolate, except that is what these poker pros are offering.
2038  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 08:22:50 AM
Hey Ken how long until we are hashing? Really need some good news.
2039  Economy / Securities / Re: Is Poker by Proxy too good to be true? on: November 17, 2013, 08:12:53 AM
Haha this is so stupid, are you for real thinking this is a good idea? Total joke.

Why would people what can compound 5% every single day work for you?? Think about that.

Anyway in case you still think they are a charity and hate making money for only themselves, or if you think they need a big balance to start and that is the reason.

If Mr PokerPro starts with $1 and makes 5% a day here is his fantastic journey:

Day 10 : $1.60 (Pretty poor right?)
End of first month: $4.32 (Haha loser can't even afford a beer!)
End of third month: $80.73 (Lame!)
End of sixth month: $7,185 (Oh ok, not bad, still crap for 6 months work!)
End of eighth month: $121,739 (Wow these 5% gains are looking good!)
End of year: $54,211,841 (Whoa!!! Millionaire!)

So if he starts with several thousand dollars, an easy sum for all intelligent people who have access to poker to acquire, they can make themselves a million within 4 months with the ability they claim to posses.

If you deposit $5,000 with these muppets, at 10% they will hand you back $87,000 in just one month.

Ask yourselfs once more! Why are they helping you!

Also for fun, if one of those idiots starts with 1 cent, at 15% per day (their best case) you will be left with $142,794,581,863,314,240,000 (142 million trillion) within 365 days.

Just have a look at 2% per day too for their worst case: $100 turns into $137,000 in one year. Again why do they need your money!?!?!

Have fun!
2040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin linked to drugs on: November 17, 2013, 07:49:25 AM
This needs to stop

Its funny that it was originally drugs through Silk Road that first gave Bitcoin an economy to grow around. Now we don't need drugs for sure, but people like you need to stop worrying. Drugs gave Bitcoin its first value and will always be apart of the economy, as that is what Bitcoin is all about: freedom, freedom to do what you and I might not agree with.

If you don't like that truth, that Bitcoin will be used for terrorism, drugs and tax evasion, then please sell your coin now and create an alternative "clean coin".

Cheers.
