2041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Online Gambling Streamers Ever Get Addicted to Gambling? on: August 07, 2022, 12:47:11 PM
They should be affected to some degree especially since I think being affected by dopamine and entering that rush can be quite entertaining for viewers BUT at the same time, the fact that you're presenting yourself and you're gambling sessions to a group of people is kind of like a limit in itself. It's like a constant reminder of sorts that you shouldn't let yourself completely loose but at the same time, let yourself loose. It's the middle ground so to speak and if you've been streaming other content for so long and gambling came in like later on, then you'd definitely be able to do this really well imo.

And there's the issue that well, if they show negative signs they're entire career of streaming may go downhill and may even be sued or something, both by the company their advertising and the streaming platform (not sure about the streaming paltform though).
2042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for best casino on: August 06, 2022, 11:14:54 PM
Take your time to read and scroll through the various threads and discussions to pick the best casino that you'd like among the many casinos out there. Just make sure to visit their ANN thread and scour around to see whether they're reputable or not. I'd upvote on trying to check out https://www.btcgosu.com/, it's a pretty good site imo with a pretty long and reputable list of casinos that you can find and play on. If it's a matter of KYC then you can refer to this thread:

Happy gambling!
2043  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe ? on: August 06, 2022, 10:27:22 AM
It should be safe, I and my sister have had experiences with it and we never had any issues with the experience. There's a bunch of stuff you need afaik, KYC being the first, before being able to transact so I think that gives enough for Binance to stand as the middle man. You should also be able to report suspicious transactions directly to Binance in case you get hit, they are a centralized exchange and can freeze an account if they deem it necessary. Just keep a record of every transaction and conversations you've made to be safe in case they want more info.
2044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have started teaching Bitcoin to my Neighbors on: August 06, 2022, 04:51:17 AM
So my only request to the other members here in this forum is to teach me what can be taught to them that I may not know at the moment, although I am not an expert here but only basic thing about bitcoin that I share with my acquaintances here in the community I'm in. So you are free to provide additional knowledge on this matter and I am willing to accept it because I am also one of those who are still learning about bitcoin.
I think it depends on what you're planning to teach? If it was Bitcoin in general then simple history and use cases should be more than enough as a topic for discussion, maybe even some of the technical stuff if you know about them (or you can study them together with your neighbors).

If it was the investment side then you have a lot of topics you can consider. It's also going to help to at least let them know Bitcoin isn't a quick get-rich scheme and identify what are the things they need to know to start investing. It can also help you study it yourself, it's much more efficient especially if you're going to do regular study meetings like this.
2045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Millions are still been raised in this bear market on: August 06, 2022, 01:14:24 AM
And I don't think there's something wrong with that. A lot of people in the industry are investors, after all, I don't think the market being bearish would affect their decision to invest in projects they deem to be interesting or would generate profit, projects would still develop properly regardless of the market after all. Additionally, a lot of the profits come from the initial release of the projects, so early investors can generate way more than they invested across multiple investments if done properly. So it's kind of like one win offsets the losses of the rest kind of thing.
2046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading more efficiently on: August 05, 2022, 03:09:59 PM
I normally use Binance as my exchange, I don't think it matters what you choose that much early on, just test around on what you think would suit you and makes it easy for you to buy/sell crypto. After getting used to it you can then use bots and whatnot, but early on I don't think you need to stress yourself out of looking for them. As for monitors, I don't think you need a big one or multiple ones early on, though it might help later on (I never really tried it even though I had multiple).

I don't use Bybit but a quick lookup announces that they "announced" night mode so I think it's safe to assume they also have a day/light mode with the white background you want.
2047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Games or Gambling Considered Sports, really! on: August 05, 2022, 04:33:53 AM
Why is Billiards (or pool, or whatever you call it) considered a gambling game...? Pretty sure it's a separate sport altogether, I do know there are different types of pool games but they aren't really connected to gambling afaik. I mean if you compare it to card games like poker, then yea it's pretty far from being considered as a gambling game imo. Not to mention that billiards is a pure game that requires skill, unlike poker where luck is still in play.

On the topic though, poker would be the most general answer here imo, it's a well-known card gambling game after all. Other than that I don't think there's any other that comes close. The others are just different renditions of poker, or are purely luck based which is probably why they aren't considered sports.
2048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralized Exchange And Decentralized Exchange on: August 04, 2022, 05:05:06 AM
DEX would probably win in a general consensus since the release is open to the public, letting users themselves judge whether the exchange is worth it or not. Just that Centralized exchanges would probably offer a lot more QOL at the cost ofc of some things, such as KYC, which I think a LOT of people don't mind, or regardless if they DO mind, they'd still use it just because it'd probably be a lot easier on their part compared to using DEX. There's also the issue of fees which vary so take that into consideration as well when picking between two.
2049  Economy / Economics / Re: TOPIC: Pros and Cons of saving fiat versus saving Bitcoin in this current econom on: August 04, 2022, 01:46:04 AM
It is however noteworthy to examine these pros and cons of saving fiat versus that of saving with crypto in this period, to be ready for uncertainties.
Knowing what you now know, would you rather save fiat more or save in Bitcoins more?
I'd do a little bit of both. I wouldn't really risk all my assets on Bitcoin, not as crazy as that one family that sold all their assets for Bitcoin (which paid off, but really, what are the chances of that happening again). I'm still going to manage my assets properly so I can respond to both emergencies and for saving up for the long term. I still haven't really withdrawn my initial investments on Bitcoin and I DCA as well so I don't think I'd have issues there. I still keep a part as fiat though, separate from the amount I invest and the amount I use for daily expenses and monthly bills.
2050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It For The Money Or For The Sport Or A Clear Exploitations on: August 03, 2022, 12:45:29 PM
watching this fight made me think that promoters are just exploiting their popularity and these so-called internet sensations just want to have a quick buck.
Basically sums up the entire situation imo. Though the fact that the match went on goes to show that it was a possibility for the match to have traction and for people to pay for it. If the so-called "entertainment" they were looking for was one small laugh from me after seeing that immediate K.O. then they got it. Otherwise I wouldn't really support these kinds of exhibition matches, maybe against retired pros or experienced ones, but this kind of matches? Hard pass.
2051  Economy / Economics / Re: A Secret to financial breakthrough on: August 03, 2022, 04:15:54 AM
It needs a little bit of everything to be able to be financially successful, especially if the considered success is those sky-high levels of being rich. Your starting point would inevitably affect the result, but it isn't everything in the grand scheme of things, as I said, that's just a small part of that "everything" you need. The effort is one, luck is also one, then it just assembles itself bit by bit to be your path towards success. That doesn't mean that it can build itself up though, so start moving, build up skills, knowledge, and relationships (especially this one imo) and it'll just fall in place later on in life.
2052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: August 02, 2022, 12:21:29 PM
I think its all about advertisements and getting bonuses by referrals. I remember watching Turkish streamer living in Cyprus (Northern side). Gambling is legal there so he was streaming playing on online casinos at twitch. He was indirectly making ad for that specific online casino website. And he was making money directly over other type of advertisement. I think its pretty normal in modern age. This was like 3-4 years ago.
I think this is more of a "when it started" kind of thing instead of when it popped off and grew so big which was what OP was pertaining to. It was something that was growing pre-pandemic but afaik it was the age during the pandemic that really boomed its growth (the streaming industry in general) since well, people had nothing to do.

wow... this is something that impressed me... I confess that I would never have imagined that the "market"/gambling segment could gain a significant share in streaming.
This just shows that with each passing day that gambling is acquiring an interesting "market share" in the current market.

Watching someone gambling huge amount of money regardless of winning/losing is very satisfying because it's very hard to do it by yourself due to risk involved. Streamers are taking this risk to attract viewers is what making there stream special than watching a regular game stream. Some of the streamers provides a big giveaways by just watching them. AFAIK Drake is giving away 25k each person on his last stream that sponsored by Stake. Sky is the limit for the potential of online gambling on streaming world because money will always get the viewers attention.
Agree. The self-insert can sometimes be very enjoyable to do, and heck just messing around with the streamer involved after a big loss (or win) can be very fun as well. Not to mention that they do giveaways at times depending on what or how much they win in their games.
2053  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: August 02, 2022, 05:19:27 AM
It is quite amazing to see this kind of results that are very low to occur in real life. Gambling can be magical at times because there are somethings we might think not happen in the gambling world that do occur. We should be more focus on what we want if not we might end up missing out big time. This are great result and I know all these gamers are been in the gambling world for a very long time.

though we don't know for sure how long they have been betting, but it doesn't matter anyway. the point here is that, yes few of these gamblers got their luck of their lifetime, it may serve as inspiration to others but don't forget that this fortune is not for all. so if you are chasing this situation for you, where you will use some funds for your basic needs, better think twice. much better if you can just use your extra extra funds, because you are more on the side of losing your funds rather than gaining from it.
Anything related to winning in gambling should never be an inspiration lmao. Maybe consider the losing experience instead as the inspiration to not actually gamble. You'd probably have a higher chance of getting money over doing your hobbies in a professional way instead of gambling. Though if you're already in the hole of gambling, think of this as an instance where people who put in enough money can actually achieve. In most cases, those winners probably spent more than the amount they've actually won.
2054  Economy / Gambling / Re: around 1.6 billion people worldwide gamble, What about a poker gamefi?? on: August 02, 2022, 02:48:38 AM
I really think "Poker" is too dominant in the gaming section of the gambling world wide, it is a difficult game to learn and good Poker players quickly dominate all platforms where it is hosted.  Roll Eyes

I think multi contest platforms should become more prevalent, because the player vs player contests has been under utilized in Sports betting and even in Slot games. Player vs AI is boring and also predictable.... humans should combat against each other to make it more interesting.  Wink
It's why poker has been a pretty dominant game not just in casinos, but rather in simple gatherings and the like. It's easy to understand without the complex rules but factoring the bluffs and mind games you can perform, poker can become something fun to play really quickly. There's also the issue (I consider it as one) that in the case of casino games, There's only a limited number of games that introduce player vs player, Poker being one of them which makes it a more popular pick.
2055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Connecting Your Gambling Project's First Payment Gateway on: August 01, 2022, 11:53:53 AM
I honestly think it wouldn't be much of an issue for most casinos to prepare the requirements that they need for payment gateway implementations since it would've originally been needed for registration and a bunch of other official stuff needed before they could officially say that their casino is running. Plus as others have said, crypto itself is an option that doesn't really need much in terms of doing paperwork or requirements in general. Might need some work though if they want to create a local wallet of sorts.
2056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: August 01, 2022, 07:49:46 AM
I knew people who were able to get rid of hard drugs and I knew gambling addicts who lost huge sums of money in casinos but were able to give it up completely. So I think anyone who says they can't give up gambling and other addictions on their own is just cheating themselves and those around them. He either doesn't want to and doesn't have the core.

Addiction isn’t really an easy feat to overcome. And that’s is probably why it’s called an addiction. Whether it’s drug addiction or gambling addiction, it really isn’t easy to overcome it. An individual has to be disciplined strictly in order to overcome. In some cases, the addict needs to get some help in order to overcome the addiction and that where rehab comes in. We all need each other to thrive and survive. An addict especially needs all the patience, understanding and constant monitoring to overcome an addiction cause it really isn’t an easy feat

Most people don't have an opinion. They prefer to be directed because they are not used to taking responsibility for their actions. Such people find it difficult not only to overcome addiction, but even to live in society. But if a person has life priorities, goals, and a sufficient level of self-discipline, he is able to overcome any addiction. You just need to work on yourself, not look for someone to blame for your problems, and not run away from problems, but solve them.
It's probably misunderstood but people who can't remove addiction from their lives do not mean they DON'T want to. There's a variety of factors involved when it comes to resolving addiction, and it isn't something that most people would really understand. The world isn't so fantasy-like and such that you'd expect to be able to fix something just because you want to. The examples we mostly see of people being fixed from their addiction are the cases of success but the thing is, it isn't the only case out there. There are cases of failure out there that have tried, but couldn't really push through and their "want" is not the only factor at play here, but maybe others as well such as financial issues, proper access to help, environment etc.
2057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most trusted stable coin currently (in your opinion)? on: August 01, 2022, 05:30:31 AM
If we were to not mind anything else and just choose between the available stable coins out there, I'd go for USDT and BUSD. I've used them for quite a long time now and I don't really have any complaints nor have I actually been inconvenienced afaik. There really weren't any big issues as well that troubled me when I was using them (If there were issues with it, I wasn't really updated with it most of the time).

If you consider how stablecoins are though, I don't think you should use trust on them with how they can basically pull out and ruin whatever amount you have to oblivion. I've never really held stablecoins, I mostly use them for my transactions.
2058  Economy / Economics / Re: You don't earn money only from others, but also when you avoid spending your own on: July 30, 2022, 03:22:20 PM
I mean it is true for the most part, that additional expenses can sometimes kill the way you budget your finance but finding other ways for income to pay for those "additional expenses" can help. Examples would be some beer money jobs out there that are pretty easy to do (but yet pretty far apart in terms of being able to do one most of the time). I've been trying to find alternative sources of income, mostly related to my hobbies which is drawing and it's been helping me in paying for a LOT of stuff related to it.
2059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's to make of the NFT craze in retrospect? on: July 30, 2022, 11:30:09 AM
I don't actually understand why they are buying it. Hype? Trend? Be popular? Especially that Dorsey tweet. I mean, why? Buy it for what purpose?
You really think it will be valuable in the next 10 - 20 years? Is he a hero for that to happen? He created a good social platform, okay but it ends there.
Maybe in the next decade or two he won't be remembered.
Same questions like. Who is the owner of Friendster, Myspace? What's the first shared thing in friendster? It is unknown and no one bothers to care anymore.  Grin
Things shared in the internet are temporary it won't last long.
NFT will stay for a different purpose though. A better one.
I don't think it's a matter of what its value for that long (10-20 years) but rather the value it can bring (brought about by mostly hype) in the short term. A lot of projects were brought up by hype imo and well due to the success of a few projects here and there, everyone initially assumed that other projects would do the same. The NFT craze did happen in the middle to end of the pandemic, a lot of people had extra time in their hands ranging from investors themselves to students wanting to invest in something which lead to an insane amount of people talking about it.

Waiting for NFT 2.0 - tokens with functionality!
There are a few of these. One of the most interesting developments as of late in this regard is CounterCord, a Counterparty "asset verification tool for Discord."
Is the link down or is my ISP just being bad? I tried opening the one in their Twitter post and I also couldn't open it.
2060  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: July 30, 2022, 11:23:34 AM
I don't see anything wrong with the fact that the list raises questions from users of the BTT Gambling section.  On the contrary, it is even useful.  This broadens our horizons and generally gives us new information about what is happening in the gigantic world of gambling.
Is that the reason no casinos on this forum is listed on the website, even sportbet and stake that are old are not listed. I do not consider the listing at all, the best crypto casinos are just on this forum, we have reputable casinos here than the foreign ones I have never even heard of before. I am not saying they may not be good casinos, but not seeing casinos on this forum there make me to doubt if OP knows what he is doing.
The fact that there's at least not one casino we know of about is the odd reason, not just the fact that it's here in this forum. Though it may be a case of really, really old casinos or just simply casinos that are more of an offline one instead of an online one that just recently integrated crypto or something similar. Whatever the case may be, I wouldn't really try to go for unknown casinos, especially if most of us here don't know about them It's one thing if some people don't, it's another if a lot don't. Not the type to explore stuff, especially if it was a matter of casinos where I play.
