I have almost 10 million RDD, how many should i expect to stake per day?
2062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 23, 2014, 10:31:39 AM
This is incredibly exciting.
Thanks also to the recent visitors in the thread.

There is basically no trading going on at the moment. Less than $100k per day is immaterial.
The reason for this is that people who wanted a stake in the coin already mostly bought in.

Some people along for the ride bought on the upswing with increased exposure prior to Mintpal listing and the second POW.
I can imagine, especially if people bought at 4000sats, that they might want to jump out now too.
This might be people who never actually took the coins off the exchange and into their wallets.

With an ecosystem as proposed by dev team, this will change things.

I am actually hoping someone can start using this thread for technical discussion etc rather than just the pro/con debate of peripheral things that has been the main focus recently.

Exactly, there is alot i want to know about this coin, but its a pain to have to flick through all the FUDsters and trolls posts.
It will be interesting to see how the social networking side of things goes, and from what i understand, the wallet is going to have its own exchanger built in eventually, so you can exchange to and fro to BTC and make and recieve BTC payments and then convert it back to SC!

Okay well this is insanely frustrating for me because nobody will look at facts or address real issues or concerns. You are all already invested so of course you're going to continue to maintain everything is peachy and sunny and perfect. I believe my points have been made far more than was needed but when everything I said was being buried with 2-3 quoted memes over and over to bury my post and get to a new page I felt I had to keep repeating myself. Look - I think most people are starting to realize I was right. Most people are now down on their investment. Some will cut their losses and get out and others will take their coins with them to their grave believing Silkcoin will make them millionaires. The truth is nobody knows for sure what this dev's intentions were. I made a lot of assumptions and I have received some PMs from people I respect that helped put me in your shoes and realize how I would be reacting to what I've been saying in your situation. Some of you are actually true believers and others just want people to believe enough to get the price up enough to unload and limit the bleeding. The premine was way too large - I will never back down from that. The Qt wallet has actually evolved into something that at least gets an "A" for effort - I can admit that. It's superior to most without a doubt. I hope this guy sees this thing through and I just hope nobody lost their rent money or owes their bookie - chances are you learned this lesson pretty cheap. It's a learning process. Everybody can't know everything. I promise I'm done posting here - done reading the thread - I don't take back anything I've said at all and I maintain everything I said was accurate but need to accept that nobody will ever admit it. Finally, to kalisto, the pimple-faced idiot that keeps messaging me about how him and his buddies are going to track me down and come "fight" me - you better hurry up, Dick Tracy, before your Silkcoins are worthless and you can't afford gas money. MEGAman out (12/12 - calling it early).
We know you are an extortionist, you should just quit while the goings good.

GUYS FFS STOP THIS BULLSH!T DISCUSSION ABOUT THE PREMINE.

You all are just silly, why are you guys keep talking about something that isn't a problem.
The devs need the premine to stay loyal to the coin, look at other coins, as soon as the devs run out of premine they mostly left the project....

You fanboys only hurt the price of SC, act like a real community and look at the bright things, things that can really change how we trade and see crypto. That's SilkCoin project,

Completley agree!

If people feel there is an issue with the premine, than the community should have a vote on what to do with it.
Does Judge Crypto feel this is ideal?

Personally i dont have an issue at all, as an investor, i was aware from the start, secondly i knew that voting for a lower block reward for the second POW phase would in turn result in the premine percentage being higher.

This does not bother me, if it is decided to dump some of the premine, then i feel that starting a faucet is the only right thing to do with it.

Again, i trust the devs will make the right decision, i cant fault the whitepaper and have full faith in them.

This is a great community, we just have to ignore the trolls.

There is no issue with the premine.  There is a concerted effort to bring the value down on multiple fronts.  I have never seen a coin deliver such innovation attacked so ferociously.  It is amazing.

There is no need to vote here.  In fact after a certain point we should setup a fund address to add to it.  The fact is a premine is a finite resource.  It takes time and resources to launch a successful coin.  Many are using the premine to cause an issue where none exists.  The ONLY possible issue with a premine will be if the devs abandon the coin and sell.  They have shown they are not that way.

Now if we strip them of the premine and leave them no fund then you WILL DAMAGE your investment.

Yes i tend to agree, i cant believe the amount of force trying to bring this down, the only other currency ive seen this sort of thing come close to is NXT. And those attempts have also failed.

Is there any calculator to calculate the amount of SC you will get each day or week?
Im thinking of leaving a computer stake them 24/7

Perhaps the dev team should destroy the extra premine percentage. The spec changed so this would only be fair. This should be done publicly. This would show the integrity of the devs and be great for PR. Other coins have sucessfully done this.

Thats not bad idea actually. Lets see what the dev says Smiley

sent dev pm last week asking to destroy rest of premine. dev says need for bounties developments and for future of coin. i understand that alot of work is needed for eco-system and marketplace. sent another pm but dev offline now. i would like community to donate and for premine to be destroyed. i pledge 25000sc if this is done soon.
i would like to see multipool set up and 1-2% going to fund future of our fine coin

I will happily donate.
But can you explain to me why the dev fund needs to be destroyed and recreated?
It seems like a nice gesture which will show community support but it also seems empty.
With the recent market games there are whales who hold much larger % than the devs if a "dump" and crash of price is listed in your concerns I would be more worried about them.

Just like with Bitcoin, the price of Silkcoin is the least interesting thing about it.
Sure if you were hoping to make a quick buck then I think you are out of luck, but anyone trying to do that loses my sympathy in any case.
For anyone to profit without creation or adding value means that someone else needs to suffer unnecessary loss.

Very well said. I also think, it's not in favor of Silkcoin that we start another discussion about destroying some premine and replacing it by a new wallet with coins. all investors here believe in the dev and this coin, no matter if the premine is 1% or 5%. let the dev do his work, he never disappointed us. Don't forget that we ( bagholders) were really happy that the second POW delivered only 50% more coins instead of 100%. So the rise in price for our own coin we liked. And now some people don't like the rise in percentage of the premine...

+1 - Exactly - You beg for a reduction in coins then a few complain it bumps the pre-mine percent up??  Devs have done zero to disappoint and everything to earn our praise thus far and in my mind deserve every bit of the current pre-mine %.

I run a couple of free coin giveaway threads on another forum and the one I was running a couple of weeks back for Zimstake was the most popular, that was until SC came on and was giving away 15 SC for one vote on MintPal, blew my free giveaway out of the water.  Those pre-mine funds are going to very good use and being distributed fairly to the community.

Completley agree.
I think most of these trolls are people who are latecomers and want to buy in cheap!
HODL!!!!
2072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Moderated Thread [Updates & Discussion][Civilized Discussion] on: June 22, 2014, 09:17:23 AM
OK, ive been out of the loop for a while since UF resigned.
I hold a NEMstake and want to know when i need to claim it and to whos NXT account i claim my token with.

I take it we get our 1 million NEM deposited once it hits beta around August?

Since people are criticizing distribution, can i link my BCT username to the stakeholders database?

What a better time to buy Silk right now!

Dont forget that the premine was announced right from the start, so why do trolls need to make a big deal about it?
If you dont like it, then move on to some other crap coin, this coin has a solid future that alot of coins dont have.

Secondly, the community was more than happy to have this percentage double, since there was general agreement to lower the block reward on the second POW stage, so naturally everyone expected this.

Lets move on and forget about the trolls.
2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 21, 2014, 09:23:53 AM
This whitepaper had better be great Smiley I think listing the steps is a positive. Its also a positive to create some forward momentum. The fud will never stop but there is 1 thing that causes people to ignore fud. Thats green candles heading up. I believe this coin will approach 0.0006 in the next few weeks.

I admit the premine seems a bit steep but consider this are you going to work on a coin non stop for weeks for free?? Of course not. So lets see how this dev and his team continues forward.

Steve

The main thing is that the premine addresses have been made public and everyone can watch the accounts, besides alot of it will be used for bounties, and development costs etc.

In all fairness, i dont have any problem if the developers get a stake in the coin from the start, as long as its not excessive, and this goes for any crypto currency, at the end of the day, they are the ones that do all the hard yards to make the coin, so its only fair.

i have 6*280x Vapor-x OC
But speed still slow ((( 350-370 h/s.
Maybe someone can tell me what gpu-mem and gpu-clock must be?
And, this coin is love gpu engine or memory speed?

Are you saying it can be GPU mined now?
Sounds interesting.

Yes there has a GPU miner for a while. See the first post in this thread. GPU and CPU mining for this coin are both fairly competitive, you can use either or both.

How much power do GPU's use with monero compared to Scrypt or X11 coins?

Geez, what a dick, thats basically blackmail and/or extortion!

Has anyone checked his BTC address on the block explorer?
