2061  Economy / Gambling / Re: PenguinDice: An Open Source Bitcoin Dice Betting Tor Hidden Service on: February 16, 2017, 05:18:37 PM
I have accessed site by simply putting .to at the end of the .onion url. But your dice site look pretty primitive, its plain and also quite confusing one. What is your bankroll? Haven't tested deposit/withdraw but you need to work more on your design.

I have accessed the site without Tor using your advice. The site looks good to me, I like the simplicity of its design. And since it's provably fair, like people in this thread are stating, I think you can place a bet even not understanding the rules. But actualluy I think there's nothing confusing about their game. They just roll two six-sided dice and you bet on the resulting sum. The site has no faucet so I haven't tried it myself.
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still use Bitcoin if price would be stable for years? on: February 16, 2017, 04:34:47 PM
I have voted YES. Why not? I don't trade in the sense of making profit from Bitcoin's volatility. I just like the fact that BTC is always rising in price and that's why it's a safe investment. Also if Bitcoin was more stable the adoption of it would rise causing the inevitable rise in price which would be good IMO.
2063  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or zcash? on: February 16, 2017, 04:16:36 PM
Do you think there is room for two currencies to grow in demand, shrink in supply exponentially? Will they cut into each other's market share?

Bitcoin has been proven and can be divided into tiny fractions, given the fact it is working it seems a safe bet for the future. It has failures, though. From an economic standpoint, if zcash replaces it in underground markets, will bitcoins legal uses keep its demand high? Will it continue to grow from speculation?

Bitcoin isn't private, tumbling it has huge risks and the end user has lots of security demands to remain anonymous. It may not be the best for underground uses whcih may have an economic impact. zcash is bitcoin but with its flaws ironed out.I do suspect it will grow like bitcoin but I'm interested in the dynamics.

Thoughts?

Very few people believe in zcash these days. Although it still costs over 0.03 BTC the steady decline of its price from the beginning is obvious. Idk, if it's more anonymous than BTC and people just haven't realized it yet, maybe it has some potential. We'll see.
2064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the Most Promising AltCoin this 2017? on: February 16, 2017, 03:27:33 PM
I feel that Waves will be promising in 2017. However, you need to do your own research like others have said.

To be honest, waves is very potential because the current price is much lower than ICO price. I recommend ETH, WAVES, STRATIS are big players in 2017.

I'm not saying WAVES has no potential. On the contrary, I was going to say that it has, because I read today an article in the Forbes magazine where it was mentioned. I was amazed by the huge Market Cap this coin has, over $25,000,000. But as I can see not only me was going to say about that in this thread. But I have one question. Does the ICO really influence the price of a coin in the future? What about Zcash then? ZEC's ICO was huge. Does it mean it has a big potential then?
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SURVEY on the popularity of these ways to gamble. on: February 16, 2017, 02:34:56 PM
Dice is my favorite way of gambling. Right now I'm trying to learn how to play poker because I think it's an interesting game too, but I have lots to learn still. Surprized that 10% is choosing SLOTS, never uderstood what's good in those games.
2066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: February 15, 2017, 09:33:44 AM
Already twenty years this is why we can say that bitcoins is going up and it's a good money. Moreover it proves that it's s safe money because it would be deleted if it was the cause of many problems.

Not exactly 20 years, it's more like 10 actually, but I agree that that's alot too. And I agree that surviving for such a long time proves Bitcoins feasibility. Bitcoin has not only survived but became more valued and much more popular during this time.

Looking back at Bitcoins hystory, at where it was in the beginning we can say that there is good reason to believe that in 20 years the price of it will be hundredfold greater than it is now.
2067  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me a secret: any way to earn 0.1 BTC per week? on: February 15, 2017, 08:33:22 AM
Speaking of signature campaigns, it's almost impossible to earn even 0.05 per week, because although there are some campaigns where you can earn close to that amount theoretically, you would have to make so many posts for that that if you are not a super expert they will be unsubstantial mostly and you are not paid for them in the best case scenario and get banned in the worst.
2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you beat the house edge on: February 15, 2017, 07:58:45 AM
Can't you beat the house edge? Today, with all these Bitcoin casinos and dices, I think it would be possible to beat small house edge with like 1%.
I always deposit small amount on site and when I make it to a good balance I withdraw, then I play with faucet and loose till the next deposit.
Can you share your experience with the gambling?

Many gamblers start their gambling experience exactly like you described. They think they've found a way to beat the house edge and thus to make money with gambling. But the truth is, it's an illusion. And actually it's not about the house edge which can be 0.5% or even less than that on some sites. It's about the fact that you just can't always win and that no one knows how many times you can lose in a row.
2069  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-02-14] Japan’s 3Megabanks Have All Invested in Japan’s Biggest BitcoinExch on: February 14, 2017, 12:02:55 PM
Japan has always been a leader in creating revolutionary technologies and in adopting the good ones from others. The fact that three of Japan’s biggest banks have now invested in the country’s leading bitcoin exchange only confirms that. Other countries should learn from them or otherwise they might end up stucking in the past.
2070  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: February 14, 2017, 11:27:13 AM
The site looks good but I've heard about it being a scam. Some people say they recieved payment (low one). And some guys who earned 0.01+ say they didn't recieve the payment. You can see the complaints right here: https://netbusinessrating.com/en/review-10532-freebitcoin. The OP doesn't have negative trust, the thread itself is quite big here, so can somebody tell me is it a scam or not? Thank you.
i never heard freebitco.in scam people since they are started from 2013. They are the longest and trusted for faucet site (for me), so i doubt if they ever did that (scam).
But, i have no idea how the pick the winner from their weekly lottery, and their House Edge (5%) is too high.
Okay, maybe you are right but why are people writing other thigs on the site to which I gave link previously? "freebitco.in is a Scammer page
The "provably fair" algorithm does not even exist!" and "Biggest Scam. They have stole my 0.01559201 BTC. May be they are paying regularly to small earner."?
Well, anyway, I've signed up here and I'll try playing.

Good luck! You have a chance to win $200 in BTC on their FREE ROLLS but I advise you against playing HI-LO game on thier site. It has huge house edge, 5%, and maybe that's why everyone, including me, loses in that game. Generally it's a great site though, I even won $2 in BTC with their free rolls once.

Allow me to put it in better terms: HI-LO and the Lottery have worse odds than a lot of state lottery games with proportionately lower payout and there is a very shady winner base..

Most state lotteries are being audited by independent organizations as a requirement and some of the earnings are going to sponsored charities and non-profit organizations. I have even seen some good movies being funded by state lotteries to develop talent that would have gone unnoticed.

What is this site doing with it's profits from their lottery? They have no audit requirements and are completely anonymous. Why?

We could be funding ISIS or some Pedo network, and we will not even know it. < For the crazies out there, I am not saying this site is affiliated with ISIS or Pedo's... what I am saying is, we do not know where the money is going, because this site is 100% anonymous.

~

Is this true? I thought a site can't be 100% anonymous if it's located in the Clear Web. Also I think the guy named wetsuit has something to do with the site because he has started this thread, he might be the owner even. So they are not 100% anonymous.
2071  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: February 14, 2017, 10:59:28 AM
Savings won't grow my money so I will definitely invest it to grow money. But I will save 15% of total money. And with 85% I will buy some ETH,DOGE and LTC.I know these altcoin price will rise very soon and I will be able to cut a good profit from these.I also aware of risk in trading but I know without risk its not possible to make profit.
it's up to you to formula about saving and investing, but I think it would be better if you prioritize to save. because investment is also at risk. Surely you do not want 85% of your money is lost right?

I think he has chosen wisely in which altcoins to invest, but I agree with you that trading is always risky. I wouldn't risk 85% of all my money even if I was almost sure that it's a right investment. But on the other hand, the more you risk the more your profit might be, so that's for him to decide.
2072  Other / Archival / Re: Earning "free" bitcoins on: February 14, 2017, 10:37:43 AM
You can't earn free bitcoin. You can receive them for signature campaigns in exchange for regular, quality posts. You could trade them for altcoins, and sell them at their highs. You could provide digital services and request to be paid in bitcoin.

Even solving captcha takes your time so I agree, no bitcoins are absolutely free. Also the faucets give you so little that it's waste of your time mostly. In theory we all know how to earn with trading, but in practice we never know whether an altcoin will go up or down after we buy it.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Win using martingale system? on: February 14, 2017, 10:11:28 AM
Although I know that martingale strategy isn't always working I use it in dice games from time to time. First I divide my bankroll by 2 eight times. That's how I know what my base bet would be for playing with 50% win chance. Then I set the NUMBER OF ROLLS to 100 on AUTOMATED BETTING and of course ON LOSS increase by 100% and ON WIN return to base. Most of the time it works for me, but of course not always, and when I lose, I lose all my bankroll.
2074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: February 13, 2017, 12:45:26 PM
no, Trading job is different from gambling, for trading, we need to analyze the market a scientific way, what we need to do is find out information, then apply our minds to accurate value judgments. It's a job that requires high skills, it does not depend on your luck, so trading is not gambling, you are a trader, not a gambling man. Be confident about that, your job is done proud.

there is no scientific way to analize the market what they calls TA is bullshit it doesn't work for everyone and it work some times, those who created TA are deceiving noobs in thinking that there is actually a way to predict the market and make always a +ev choice, what they don't say is that they are actually part of the market itself, thet are the one that manipulate the market and therefore can make the market move where they want

Exactly that's why trading can be considered as gambling. If you are just one person who are trying to make profits with trading not belonging to any team of professionals you can make profit only if you are very lucky. I'm not saying it's impossible to profit from trading, but like in gambling it depends mostly on your luck.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites have 0% house edge? on: February 13, 2017, 11:56:23 AM
Would you trust a gaming site with 0% house edge?

There are running costs as employees, servers, service bills, development, security, support, marketing to mention some.

As someone said, if its not a temporary promotion then the company almost certainly has some hidden costs (wagering limits, withdrawals costs, etc.) or has cut on mentioned areas which can lead to low quality service or scam.

~BitWAB Team~
Be the winner!

Probably right now it is like you said, but if I were an entrepreneur I would create a gambling site with 0% house edge to attract gamblers and then would sell ad spots on my site to established gambling sites. And there wouldn't be any hidden costs on my site, because my profit would be from advertising.
2076  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-02-11] World’s First Dedicated Bitcoin Bank Opens In Vienna on: February 13, 2017, 10:25:01 AM
World’s First Dedicated Bitcoin Bank Opens In Vienna

A dedicated bitcoin bank, possibly the world’s first, has opened on Mariahilfer Strasse in downtown Vienna, Austria, according to The Local, an English-language Austrian news site. The bank is owned by a Berlin-based blockchain startup, Bit Trust Services, and it is named Bitcoin-Bank. The bank is designed to make buying and selling bitcoin easier and safer than other in-person options.

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/worlds-first-dedicated-bitcoin-bank-opens-in-vienna/

Vienna is a great city for Bitcoin. According to the article Vienna now has more than 20 bitcoin-friendly merchants ranging from restaurants, bistros and bars. I'm wondering how much their bitcoin ATMs charge though. Usually, in other places, they charge too much  to use them on a regular basis.
2077  Economy / Economics / Re: Central of the Philippines Recognizes Bitcoin on: February 13, 2017, 10:12:37 AM
http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/02/08/philippines-bangko-sentral-recognizes-bitcoin-payment-system/

According to this article the Philippines’ Bangko Sentral Recognizes Bitcoin as Payment System. The article also added that Bangko Sentral states  sees the virtual currency’s potential to revolutionize the delivery of financial services. Additionally, they also mention how bitcoin provides financial inclusion, which is something traditional financial solutions have been unable to provide. This statements coming from the Central Banks of the Philippines will give a potential impact on the rise of bitcoins value on the market. And not only that, the Philippine Central Bank is not the only bank that sees the merits of bitcoin but also the the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The more news like this we have the better. Most people don't use Bitcoin because it's not recognized by any officials in their country and that's why they think it's a fraud. I know that for bitcoin community it may mean nothing whether it's recognized by the officials or not, but it means a lot for the regular people.
2078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can i make Bitcoin/money from a third world country on: February 13, 2017, 10:00:21 AM
basicly for the past week i have been trying and searching on how to make money online .. but everytime i go into a survey site or an ad sites that pays u to answer question or to do a service .. i get the usualy " this isnt available in your country" .. is there any other way to make money ? im from north african btw

I was asking myself almost the same questions when I first came here. Then after reading some threads I came to conclusion that living in a third world country we can't do anything better than participating in signature campaign. Take a look at this very useful thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0 and decide for yourself. Good luck!
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: February 13, 2017, 09:46:45 AM
When you guys are gambling and already doubled your bankroll, do you still play with the whole money you got or you take away half of your bankroll and start playing with your profit or not?
No , I had never gambled with my profit btc profit in gambling .
Usually I withdraw my all principal amount of gambling with 60% of the bitcoin of the profit .
In this way it is a better condition to make gambling without under any pressure of gambling .
But usually most of the gambler directly place thier bet for double again and I think to get double of your bitcoin back to back is impossible in most of cases .
So think not only twice but think unlimited time before place the same bet again and again to make continuously double profit .

You are right in genearal but it works sometimes. One time particularly I remember that after every win on 50/50 I was hitting MAX button and betting again. I won 8 times in a row and withdrew over 400k Satoshis. I know that was a super luck and that it was extremely stupid to play like I was, but once it worked.

do you like slot games ?

No, I don't like slot games. First, I always lose in those games. Second, I hate the stupidity of them. And also modern slot games are so heavy they load forever in my computer. I can't understand why do people like them, I'm not one of those people definitely.
