2081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will the price of Dogecoin be by the year 2020? on: February 10, 2017, 05:11:58 PM
I don't think Doge will ever rise to the moon, but I don't think it will fall to zero either. It's an accepted altcoin with $23,000,000 market cap, so I think it even might go up some day. My prediction for the year 2020 would be 100 Satoshis per coin, because this is the price this coin deserves IMO.

Several Bitcoin Exchanges Suffer From Outages During Price Drop

Yesterday was not a good day for the bitcoin ecosystem, that much is certain. Not only did the PBOC impose new AML regulation on Chinese exchanges, but several exchange platforms experienced outages as well. To some people, this looks like one big conspiracy to avoid significant financial losses when the price crashes. It is rather unusual to see so many bitcoin exchange platforms suffer from issues on the same day, though.

http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/02/10/several-bitcoin-exchanges-suffer-outages-price-drop/

No conspiracy theories came to my mind after reading that article. I think the outages happened simply because of a lot of people were coming to sites simultaneously. I agree with advice from the article that cryptocurrency enthusiasts need to move away from centralized platforms and store funds in a wallet they can fully control.
2083  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: February 10, 2017, 04:25:13 PM
Seems that Primedice are having some bad memories from the hufflepuff incident and the admin want to fully investigate the rolls before the release of the customer funds. Bitcoin price have dropped a lot during this few days, wonder how much is the bonus primedice are going to offer to the player if the investigation is done and the rolls are all fair.

With the huge bankroll of primedice, they will definitely payout the 4 BTC to the player after the investigation if it proven fairly won on the rolls, keep us on updates  Smiley

I think they have the right to investigate anything they want. The hufflepuff robbed them big and they don't want something like that to repeat. But I have a feeling that this guy won his 4 BTC fairly and they will pay him eventually.
2084  Economy / Economics / Re: Japan now #1 in volume on: February 10, 2017, 04:07:52 PM
It seems that Japan is now #1 in volume. China will start having less and less relevancy as other countries catch up in the importance of bitcoin. When this happens, we will see how 3 figures a BTC was always as cheap as hell. The days of chinese government backed price manipulation are numbered. PBOC trick to short the market is increasingly less effective as price recovers quickly. Shorters beware.

I haven't managed to find any information confirming that. From what I found Chinese exchanges, okcoin, Bitfinex and btcchina are still surpassing others in trading volume. I checked Bitcoin trading volume in the last 3 days and also in the last 24h.
2085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: February 10, 2017, 03:31:37 PM
If the users stop believing in Bitcoin, then the price will drop and merchants and services will stop accepting it. This might be, because some

developers were dragging their feet with scaling and users start using other Alt coins or even worst private Blockchain based technologies. We will

soon see if this will happen or not.  Roll Eyes

Hopefully this won't happen, because although some people are losing their faith in bitcoin there are much more of those who are just start believing in it. They buy BTC because they believe it will rise in the future. Some of them buy for just $10 because they don't have more spare money to spend, but there are many of such people. They save bitcoin from death in a way I think.
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: February 10, 2017, 02:59:44 PM
Yeah especially the famous martingale

I Tried simulating

Even with very great odds to win

just 2% losing

Run for 100k run, it will be profitable

but run for a 500k run, end up making loss

Although I agree with the last sentence, I disagree with the previous one. No way it's guaranteed to win even 100k sats with a martingale strategy. I think you know that too, but a newbie might think it's possible to win constantly 100k with a martingale strategy and every time after winning just stop and withdraw. That's not actually how it is. Just yesterday I lost 300k in 5 minutes using my favorite martigale strategy, and I made no profit before that, I started losing from the very beginning.
2087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: February 09, 2017, 05:09:59 PM
Gambling is a sickness for some gamblers but of course not for the all of them. Some people just enjoy the game and never lose to it all they have or even a significant amount for them. I personally know several gamblers, online and irl ones, who are gambling for years not becoming gambling addicts.
2088  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NastyMining Solar Project on: February 09, 2017, 05:01:44 PM
Congrats with your project!

I wanted to become a member of the nastyfans.org but it looks like all the seats are already taken.

Can you provide a link to where I can visit the online auction to see if any fanclub members are selling seats? Because I haven't managed to find one unfortunately.
2089  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017/02/09] Dramatic Fall in Bitcoin Price on: February 09, 2017, 04:30:25 PM
Every TA coming from CryptoCoinsNews should be taken with a huge load of salt. Mostly they come up with certain analysis after something happened, where they basically just rehash everything that happened already. So far none of their analysis have turned out to be worthwhile.

CCN in general;

If the price goes up> we expect the price to continue increasing.

Few days later...

If the price goes down> from here we expect to continue going down.

Few days later...

Recovering price> price is recovering as expected.

LOL.

I've enjoyed your post very much. Indeed that's not so hard to "predict" anything like they do.

The price is climbing up already so they were wrong in their "Fibonacci" predictions.
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best dice site? on: February 09, 2017, 04:05:24 PM
I have the most popular https://freebitco.in/ site I know. Do you have any site sites that you know are quality and reliable and have dice sites?
I want to play for fun in my free time?

freebitco.in is definitely not the most popular dice site as you can see from many of the replies in this thread. Try Primedice if you like to play dice games, it's reliable and trustworthy, and it's fun.
2091  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: February 09, 2017, 03:39:55 PM
Bitcoin can not now die. It invested a lot of money. Therefore, it will go up in the next few years. I believe in it.
yeah bitcoin will be never die because getting much more stronger and a lot of people investing their money in bitcoin and maximum people strongly believe in bitcoin so i am sure bitcoin will be survive forever.
That is right that bitcoin will survive forever because it is now used in a large number of companies as a payment method for their clients and they are considered as the strong pillars for the base of bitcoin and because of these companies the survival of bitcoin will be forever.
Acceptance as well use of bitcoin directly have increased a lot. In a recent article it is mentioned that bitcoin acceptance in Japan increased by 20% which is very large. No need to be panic that bitcoin will not survive long.

That's reasonable, but today the price of bitcoin went so much down that I think many people have started to panic. Can someone explain what's going on? Why do so many people have so little trust in bitcoin? I mean why do they sell below $1,000?
2092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we have a bitcoin day? on: February 09, 2017, 02:55:16 PM
Every big event or thing, invention has a day to commemorate or its commemorative day https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_commemorative_days
I would like to call upon entire bitcoin community to make a bitcoin commemorative day also.
Something like World Bitcoin Day.
I hope this will bring bitcoin to more attention.
Edit : Poll added.Everyone is requested to vote.

Yes we can. Smiley The Bitcoin Pizza Day, 22nd May, is the best candidate for that in my opinion. When people discover that 10,000 BTC were paid for two Papa John’s pizzas they really start to pay more attention to Bitcoin.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Strategy and Lost in GAMBLE on: February 09, 2017, 02:30:43 PM
Hello   Smiley

I was wondering if you have any strategy when betting and what's your biggest lost

Cheers !

I play dice games mostly and my strategy looks like this: I play 9x (11% win chance) with base bet 0.1% of my bankroll. I double my bet after every 3 reds. It works most of the time, but of course not always. My biggest lost was 0.01 when I hit over 30 reds in a row losing streak.
2094  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: February 08, 2017, 04:36:15 PM
In the next five years, the abolition or abolition of paper money will be a global trend. Personally, I think, at least we should abolish the large denomination notes until all the paper money is abolished. Note the obvious defects, can not leave traces, dirty business, money laundering, cruel exploitation by money more convenient. If a bribe is to be transferred, it is finished. At present, there has been a country to abolish paper money, and several countries announced that it is studying the abolition of. .

Bribes can be transmitted by any means, not only in cash. Cancellation of paper money has no effect on the overall level of corruption.
I'm not sure that the world will be able to refuse paper money in the near future

Whenever I see that someone gets caught and makes it into the news, they are always using cash money. Really, bank transactions can be easily traced, and if some public figure receives 1M dollars into his bank account, that will immediately raise certain questions. This is not to say that cancellation of paper money will have a profound effect on the level of corruption, of course. Corruption neither depends nor is caused by paper money

I guess something like gold will be used instead of cash if it gets removed

You mean like golden coins? Smiley That would be great. I want golden coins instead of paper money. But seriously I don't think paper money will ever disappear because it's a very convenient thing to use.
2095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 08, 2017, 04:17:30 PM
When we think about investments we imagine investors with big sums of money, so for btc casino it would be 1 or more btc, for instance. However, the minimum amount you can invest is usually 0.01btc which is only 10$. Do you think such investments are profitable but you earn small sums or maybe they don't make sense at all? Can someone explain it to me?

Of course you won't profit big investing 0.01btc even if the site you invested in makes big profits. But on the other hand you won't lose a lot in case of a fail. I think small investmets make sense, especiallly for the people who is just starting to research what an investment is.
2096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Supertition on: February 07, 2017, 05:18:13 PM
I just wanna know if you guys are supertitious when playing or gambling?

I will admit I'm very supertitious when going to a land based casino. Grin
1. I choose the number of parking slot that I will park. Usually it should have my favorite number 111,777 etc.
2. I don't want to wait for someone if he or she is going to go with in the casino.
3. I wear the same shirt that I won big.

And a lot more..

How about you? are you sepertitious?  Smiley

No, I'm not superstitious. Also I have never been to a real, land based casino. But when I go to a an online gambling site I never think of anything to wear or to put in my hair in order to win big. In fact I'm never hoping to win big in the first place because I'm playing with tiny amounts generally.
2097  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-02-04] Bitcoin Price Forecast of $2,000 Driven by Solid Fundamentals on: February 07, 2017, 04:26:45 PM
I enjoyed reading the article. From my point of view the author is right paying so much attention to the Chinese economy.

Quote
As Chinese exchanges account for over 85% of all Bitcoin traffic, continued economic softness will lead people to use Bitcoin as a prime outlet to move yuan offshore into no-depreciating assets.

I want to believe that he is right when stating that Bitcoin price will be over $1,900 by the end of 2017. At least he looks like one who knows what he is talking about.
2098  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think should be the right Bitcoin price as of Februray 2017? on: February 07, 2017, 03:52:08 PM
The range 800-1,200 USD is most likely where BTC will be in February 2017. No wonder almost everybody voted for that.

I think to make this poll more interesting we should split that at least in two parts.
2099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Frustrates You Most When Using Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2017, 03:41:18 PM
Confirmation time, and fees are approaching to high values in the near future

I don't think fees will be that high in the future that we should worry about it. But the confirmation time is something that frustrates me too sometimes, especially if you have to wait hours for the first confirmation.

mike77777, which fees are too high in your opinion? Do you think the fees might exceed $1 in the nearest future? (personally I don't think so).
2100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: February 07, 2017, 03:26:33 PM
I know that's stupid buy I choose whether it will be hi or lo after analizing the previous results. If I had 3 greens in a row on lo, I will definitely bet hi next time although I know it's not necessary the right choice.
