So that was it? (again?)
Doesn't Bitcoin usually explode through a bull run after calm times? I feel like Bitcoin has been awkwardly chill in the past few months, something has to happen soon.. perhaps Monday? So far all we have is a double top as far as I can see.. Again: A Double Top is only a Double Top when confirmed (that is, breaking long term support level(s)). So as far as we can "see", we have a possible DT, but nor very likely, because the ascending triangle forms on a higher, midterm magnitude. Maybe some "market forces" try to model the chart into a "probable double top", to make weak hands sell and pick up their coins for cheap. At least it looks to me that this would be the 2nd try to form a DT, but the difference between top1 and top2* is too low. *EDIT: Actually "top2" from above is top3, the current one.

Breaking ATH today will be so cool! I'm going to visit my little niece & nephew again tonight, and their daddy is the cryptocurrency coiner cousin I posted about earlier! Sadly, he doesn't own BTC, but he's OK with his altcoins, and he's in (modest) profit too, so it's always great to chat with him, the vibes and atmosphere are so upbeat. Whenever we meet, I always recommend to him to move all his altcoins to BTC once he's satisfied with the profits. I hope one day he'll listen to me... I bet he will, but a little (too) late for sure. But i can feel with all the alt- and nocoiners that are insisting that BTC is too high to succeed. Just too bad that they are wrong and don't even know (yet). Have a good time! EDIT: My nocoiner brother in law also comes by tomorrow to finish the tinwork/plumbing. It's been x6 since last time he came for a visit. I think we won't talk about that.

To level up, you need merits and activity, and to become Legendary you need 1000 merits and an activity of 775-1030 (chosen at random).
He had the merits, not the activity.
Gawd, i got it wrong (again). I'm not surprised, like most of you aren't too... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) EDIT: Maybe BTC can buy me a reliable brain again in the future. But then i will be old, so i won't need it by then ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) Don't worry, the fact that you own BTC means that you belong to the top 0.1% of the smartest people on Earth. Your brain is fine. Hahaha! You might want to know that i planned to get into Bitcoin in 2013 2014, but fucked it up because i was so confused and forgetful all the time. But things improved over time, especially through nutrition and therapy, so i finally made it 2017 (when i had about a tenth of unused money available, compared to 2013). This is not a complaint, btw. Things are fine the way they are. If i wouldn't have learned to think that way, i wouldn't want to know how i would be today...
More great news (adoption) from Bittrex Newsletter: In what will no doubt be the first of many such announcements, the Sacramento Kings are going to allow players to take their salary in Bitcoin: "I'm going to announce in the next few days that I'm going to offer everyone in the Kings organization, they can get paid as much of their salary in bitcoin as they want, including the players,” said Ranadivé, CEO of Sacramento Kings.
I guess by Q3 Bitcoin will be all over in the news, daily. Cheers!

Damn, I'm having mixed feelings about the outcome of today's market. This is either the beginning of another strong run or the beginning of a drop, because now we're clearly witnessing a double-top unless we go past the high we hit on the 13th of March..
Great morning it is, but tomorrow might suck if the bulls today turn out to be weak! Seems like market signs keep going bullish tho... fuck it, just go all-in and hodl.
Doesn't look quite like a DT to me, but more like an ascending triangle. Also, read investopedia on DT: There is indeed a significant difference between a double top and one that has failed. A real double top is an extremely bearish technical pattern which can lead to an extremely sharp decline in a stock or asset. However, it is essential to be patient and identify the critical support level to confirm a double top's identity. Basing a double top solely on the formation of two consecutive peaks could lead to a false reading and cause an early exit from a position.
To me it seems like whales wanted to make the chart look like double topping by the end of march, but failed. Next try was the recent dip, but they didn't even make it near critical support level(s). Makes me bullish.

Merit requirement for Legendary is random in a certain range around 1k.

you get the vaccine you will not die of COVID and you can't really spread it.
Assuming one survives the vaccination process... SARS-CoV-2 seems also to mutate for adjustment to antibodies from vaccination and earlier infections. Not quite the news i wanted to see, really ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Dammit, sad sad news. Dark man X, one of the best... I doubt so, they're thinking fiat, i guess. But in the long run... who knows? Regardless, i'd classify them as evil. Anything special that trigger this moon-shot?
Apparently some major bitcoin exchange that's never been hacked and is not to be mentioned in here because "they suck".... is going public. Nice good-morning-candle, though. Perfect timing, because today the face of the extended part of the house will be finished, workers will get paid on monday. Sweet ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

It's fine. People are forced more to use exchanges and buy&hold real BTC.

Sinn Fein / Religious conflicts at the root again. Wouldn't be the worst decision to ban religion. But the worst is that the Brit government blames the EU for it. Johnson is about the worst top politician i have witnessed so far: Brings nothing but disadvantages for the british people, seems to be proud of it.

No, we try to not have that kind of discussions, it's not denial, it's just keeping this thread free from shitcoin talk. If you must talk about them there are literally dozens of other threads, keep this one clean.
OK, now I have to reply to this accusation. I wasn't talking about shitcoins. Pay attention. Someone asked why Bitcoin was losing market dominance and I suggested it was capacity issues with Bitcoin. It's everyone else who jumps on with suggestions of using shitcoins for some reason. Bitcoin is losing market dominance mainly because of greed. Sounds too simple? Just think about it for a while ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

[Lots of stuff, as usual]
All very nice stuff. Completely fails to address the arguments I made (which are not for altcoins or big blocks or anything like that, merely that if you restrict capacity, the thing complained about is merely an expected outcome), of course so I'm not going to bother addressing most of it. The idea that "We had the discussion about the tire being flat yesterday and I didn't do anything about it" in any way stops the tire from being flat today and still needing to be fixed is asinine. However, if you continue to refuse to countenance discussion of factors which might be influencing price or adoption, I heartily recommend this link ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FG7Tiiir.png&t=663&c=FTvAeHS5RUKNig) I will, myself, continue to listen to many voices including those with whom I am not in agreement. Echo chambers are such a bore. You are missing the point, we don't care if the tire is flat or not, we don't discuss tires at all in this thread. Doing so just makes people irritated. If you want to discuss tires, for whatever reason, do so in other threads and leave this thread tire free. Is that so hard to understand? For some, a batslap is probably easier to understand ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Just got notification from my exchange that they'd received a $1500 deposit ready to spend. I was like uhhhh..... turns out it was my wife, she just called telling me to buy some more BTC. Guess she's a keeper?
Hold her with diamond hands ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Poor again.
Come on show us your new buy orders? Au contraire, I just fired off a transaction to load some coin onto the exchange. Not sure when I'm going to pull the trigger, but going to take another low 7 digits in profit to calm me down. Shouldn't need to sell any more until the ranch gets nearer to completion; at least a year away. Heard back from our accountant, and quarterly reporting is pushed out for another month, so I have more time for a price recovery. Would like to go at least a full quarter before I consider selling again, and even then, that'll likely be a big *IF* depending on circumstances. Oh, yeah, you have different tax laws in the states. For example, when i sell BTC, it is considered to be the "oldest" corn i bought so far. If i buy a whole BTC in 2019, buy another one a year later and sell it some weeks later on an exchange, it's tax free, because the tax officials consider this as a sell of the "old" BTC from 2019. You don't have that advantage, afaik. This is quite effective against daytraders evading taxation, makes some sense in the end. But laws can be changed, and the EU started to think about that recently ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) EDIT: Did the cat bounce already and we had the bottom now? (that's what my adjusted lines suggest)

Poor again.
Lost all your fiat to forgotten buy orders? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Corn price going lower than I'm comfortable with at this time. Was hoping we'd be closer to $60k by now. Got a ranch to build. That shit doesn't come cheap. I know these feelings, gotta move forward with extending the hou$e. All will be fine, though. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

If for some reason you decided to buy your first BTC this morning around 9AM forum time, that sucks. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Buying the top and hodling hard beyond a new ATH is part of the transformation to a Bitcoiner, isn't it? If it doesn't kill you, it makes you poorer. Now that's the birth of a new proverb ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) What doesn't kill you makes you poorer richer!
FTFY. Why poorer? If anything, HoDLers came out so much richer after 2017... Instead, mindrust is dead (read: nocoiner) and poor. Well, if you put it that way, you're probably right (too) ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I feel for those poor S/L traders (because i don't have fiat to buy a lil part of their market sacrifices)
