Maybe I should retire to wherever you are.

No fucking assholes about. No screaming imbeciles.

Seems peaceful and pleasant as long as you have good heat at home.

But when you live more away from society, it's actually really nice. A lot of nature, simple people.
You could hike for the rest of your life over hundreds of mountain pastures in the warm seasons, swim in dozens of nearby crystal clear lakes, look at the milky way in the many clear, dark nights and much more. Winter is dominated by alpine sports, if you're into it.

Asia is selling?
This is actually a good thing, mid to long term, but the way to the "new global balance" might be curvy.
Q1/22 should be a good time for latecomer institutions to get in cheap (and El Salvador to rack up their holdings). I hope they won't let this chance pass...

Even more snow since yesterday.

Hi Leute,

Danke  Smiley

Friends of patterns and lines: Would touching $46k today make it a double bottom? Yes or no?

As long as the owner of the bottom is a consenting adult, touching is fine I think.

The laughs were well worth this last sMerit of mine  Smiley

But why in the world did it remind me of Sweden and Julian Assange, spontaneously after reading?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

That may be so. But I can't shake the fact that I keep corrupting some of you with my ways. And that is more then I needed. Even if it is just to discredit one another, to make 'feel rank above status tangible'. Smiley

IMO, you did not quite nail it, sorry.
TBH, i got a wee bit cheeky because you were chiming in with a new member at picking ad-hominem on some folks who i came to quite like a bit (#nohomo) over the last years in these here parts.

We will go up again when most plebs have lost hope. We might even dip below $40,000 but then the rocket to $100,000 will ignite. Moon in Q2 or Q3 2022. The 4 year cycles are over, this time is different.

Seconded.
I had plans for selling some percent of my stash in Q4 this year, for buying useful goods, but i ain't disappointed in any way because things are the way they are atm.
Real hodlers don't care. Bitcoin taught me how to wait.

Looks like news of the China real estate defaults are starting to affect corn prices negatively?

This is a fascinating dynamic to me.  The Chinese real estate meltdown stands to be the gasoline on the fire that has been burning since the similar situation 13 years ago (that Satoshi mentions in the genesis block).

And that will have possibly profound effects on ALL markets.

But, as we are aware bitcoin has a particular property that makes it a VERY attractive haven in the midst of a storm like the one I think we are watching unfold.

So, I think as this gets worse all markets drop as money is moved to risk off investments.  Bitcoin is still crazy speculative, and poised to be the most pristine risk-off asset in the world.

As much as I would like to see Bitcoin;s famous volatility fade a little?  I do not think we have seen the end of it yet.  But it should be interesting to watch.

China banned Bitcoin. Coincidence?

He was in crypto since 2017. The police is investigating. They managed to "freeze" part of the coins that were stolen.

I'd tell the boy: "I'll give my private key to the one that knocks out the rest of you!"
Hitting the back of the head of the exhausted "winner" with the baseball bat that is hidden under my bed should be easy.

Seriously: That's why i neither speak about corn in the public, nor reveal any of the "$5 wrench"-countermeasures i have already taken.

EDIT: Even if the guy didn't speak about crypto, if he bought a ledger he should have taken care that ledger.fr deletes his personal data according to EU laws.

AFAIR, every image manipulation software i worked with (general reference is imagemagick, tho), uses bitmap representations of compressed image formats to apply manipulation to. This is the reason photoshop and the likes prompt you for setting compression parameters on save of destructively edited JPG files, which is any operation beyond cropping.

Right. But this is on the device, was my understanding?

I have to look into the details, but imo it should be. Likely it's processing (truncated?) RAW data directly. This is the way i would do it.
Offering an uncompressed output format is manufacturers choice. It's still a consumer drone.
But it's showing me an important point in choosing my next one.

You've probably already watched this video. I wasn't aware of Autel Robotics until Bob mentioned the Autel Evo 2 Pro, and I like what I see so far.

DJI Mavic 2 Pro VS Autel Evo 2 Pro Drone Review // This quality is INSANE

I had a similar experience, but after digging the web in regards of what the Autel does not do well, i found a nasty bug regarding focusing and also buggy software on smartphones.

Also, the Autel should be compared to the Mavic 3, because the cmos sensor of the mavic 2 is a quarter of the size of the Autel's sensor.
Needless to say, the image quality is beyond comparison. Furthermore, the Autel weighs a lot more. This is OK in countries where drones are not mainly regulated by weight/power.
My decision tends strongly toward the Mavic 3 now.
I had a look at the Autel and dismissed it some months ago. I didn't remember why, but it must have been the focusing problem(s).

EDIT: To be precise, i decided for both. Mavic 3 from the store (next year), Autel Evo II Pro (6K for 1" sensor size) used from aftermarkets some time later.

Totally unrelated, young sports professionals keep dying because of pericarditis in increasing numbers.
There is no vaccination data available, but it should be visible if the death rate correlates with vaccination rate, and if not, to which side it deviates.

^^ fuckerz.

While in my situation, they made swapping tax free, while they introduced capital gains tax on fiat profits from selling cryptos, starting Feb. 2022.
Following this, IF i wanted some fiat out of my corn, i'd better sell right before this date.

EDIT: Fiat cashed out before this date is still income-taxed, if crypto was not held for more than a year.

These are just ripples on the way to a global digital reserve currency, and we all know what's its name  Cool

Cropping a JPG can be destructive too. It actually certainly is when the cut lines do not lie on the 8x8 pixel block grid used during encoding.

Interesting. Makes me want to look into this more asap.

@dragonvslinux And @JayJuanGee Are you guys going to destroy the Bitcointalk database soon? (kidding)

Yes... not kidding.

They don't call him "Jay 'Blob Server' Juan 'Postgress Slayer' Gee" for nothing.

Rumors say he's even able to make Postgress regress (!) and that the abbreviation SQL really means "Shitty Quality, Losers!" when he let off steam in the postgress IRC support chats after crashing it multiple times, back then (when he busted the longblob bytechar limit)...  Shocked

1335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2021, 09:00:51 AM

Correct, any uncompressed format will do, of course. I'd be good with TIFF's.

Just speculation but it may need to work in a compressed format from being unable to manipulate a fully uncompressed file that size in memory.

Image manipulation makes an uncompressed image of an image to work on, internally. I guess greatest upside is the simple and cpu-friendly image manipulation code.

However, one can go the manual way, using the raw files of the single shots and image manipulation software BUT there were errors reported by users doing this, while raw/uncomplressed images from other sources were working fine.

I can live with that, because i don't relly like panorama images, but i love the 9-image wideangle compositions many drones are producing, while they also come out in JPG no matter what  Roll Eyes
There's just so much more control and potential for creativity in using RAW data. The same edits would look pretty shitty, flared and noisy when using JPG files.
It's like an image preview format for serious artists  Wink

I got vaxxed and infected. Absolutely no fun. I was initially reluctant to vax, at least in round one, but my doctor strongly suggested I vax (enough underlying conditions).

Doc said I am now (for the time being) very well protected. I may try selling cups of spit for a buck!

Covid outcomes are just too different. Perfect playground for FUD and conspiracy theories.

EDIT: I also tried the panoramic photo function of the drone today, and it's a shame that the input images (5) and resulting 180 degree pano stitch are rendered in JPG, regardless if the camera is set to RAW or not. This is a no-go in my opinion, but that may be only me, while others could be perfectly happy with it.

Well, RAW means directly from the sensor so if you manipulate it in any way, it's not really RAW anymore, no? I see what you're saying though.

Correct, any uncompressed format will do, of course. I'd be good with TIFF's.
1338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2021, 10:20:27 PM
Just out of curiosity: which drone? 45 mins airtime (hovering, no wind) points to a DJI Mavic 3, though. (EDIT: 30-32 mins real flight time)

Autel Evo II Pro 6k and Mavic 3 will just barely do 40 minutes hover time in fair conditions.

I was looking at the Autel again, it's a go-for-drone regarding specs and examples.
Unfortunately i'd have to pass an advanced license test, including flight training to be allowed to fly it within reasonable limits.
It' just that if i wouldn't have taken the test for the license i'm owning if it wasn't online. I wouldn't have passed otherwise, thanks to my memory conditions  Angry
That other one's gonna be a really hard one.

EDIT:
The critical difference to the Mavic 3, regulations-wise, is the takeoff weight. The M3 is below 900 grams, which let's it reside in a lower category, IF it gets CE certified, probably also after release. If not, it's in the same category like the Autel for unlicensed pilots, while the latter can be operated within reasonable borders by a licensed pilot, because it already has a C2 certification. The Mavic 3 would be in the C1 class after certification (which is not guaranteed to be accepted by the EU after commercial availability of the product).
As basic license holder, i am allowed to fly C0 and C1 drones within A1 (loose) and A3 (stricter) limits.

When I see you guys have stopped talking about suicide machines then I will know Bitcoin is going up again without having to look at the price.

And wen moon, we'll probably talk about different types of suicide machines, mostly Lambos and Ducatis...  Cheesy

EDIT: And helicopters. Don't let us forget about the helicopters!

And hookers! Don't forget the hookers! They can fuck you to death!  Cool

Yeah, as long as you have enough of em, which would about equal in price to a decently modded lambo.
I'm undecided if i'd prefer slow dehydration over the millisecond kill of a 200mph crash, though Huh
