2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make sure you don't lose money on: July 08, 2017, 05:56:07 PM
The first important thing is gamble with the money you can afford to lose. Then set a realistic goal not something like 20 times your bankroll maybe 50% of your bankroll. After that try achieving that goal and when you achieve it either withdraw everything or only continue with your profits. If you still end up losing everything quit gambling for good

Good advice, if someone lose money on gambling all the time it's better to quit then to lose more, in that way someone can fall down in deep problems with gambling, and constant wish to cut loses with one more big bet.
In gambling no one can be sure in results in the end, only way to not lose money is to gamble with some promotion chips, or free roll poker tournaments, where you don't risk nothing but there is a little chance for win some little amounts. Gambling with faucets on some sites is also possible, but I tried that and its completely waist of time, its good only if you wish to have a little fun without giving your own money.
2102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: July 08, 2017, 04:10:53 PM
Start earning from signature campaign as it is the easiest and safest method to earn bitcoins and you can also learn about trading as there are many videos available on youtube that will give you an clear picture of how trading works and you can also sell your services if you have any skills and make sure that you don't waste your time behind faucets and gambling as it will give you nothing in return.

Bitcoins that we earn from signature campaigns can be a good start for many other jobs that can bring you even more bitcoins. I agree that new people that come here first need to read and determinate what will be good for them, now there are many choices and opportunities around.
Faucets can really be a waist of time for any skilled guy here, but if someone doesn`t have money for investing in bitcoins faucets and other micro earning games can bring couple bucks in some period of time and with money from signature campaigns that is enough for first try`s, I started like that.
2103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: July 08, 2017, 10:06:47 AM
There are two types of traders in this thread, and many commenting here do not understand the difference with regards to XRP speculation.

The first, is long term traders. Those who invest in a project with the intention of seeing it through to a profit once the project is complete and utilised by real world applications.

The second is, day/short traders. You guys shit me. If you are one of these and you haven't made a profit on XRP...... you do not know how to trade..... give it up. Seriously, don't trade anymore. The butt hurt is strong in this thread from failed traders who don't know how to read charts or bought the hype not understanding the fundamentals of the ripple project. Shiiit I am long on XRP and still managed to profit 10kAUD in the process of re-positioning and hodling many bags.

My posts in this thread regarding XRP speculation (this is what it is about after all) are trumped by hype/trolling & troll feeding which is derailing the thread. For this reason I've given up even trying to give input, its pointless.

Your comment describes all traders in this forum. I was day trader in beginning and I must agree with your description of a day/short traders, it`s exactly like that. I learned that in a hard way, with day trading I have just losses. Now I`m a long term trader, I`m buying when I have and I don`t
pay attention on negative comments, I take a look and read don`t bother me, I have patience to wait.
I see some people are talking how ripple is a scam, well bitcoin was dead many times, what people talk about eth, dash, ltc, and many other coins, and where are this coins now? On the top of the list?
I need to quote your sentence once again `Those who invest in a project with the intention of seeing it through to a profit once the project is complete and utilised by real world applications.` those who invest and wait will make the best profit!

2104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can't buy something with Bitcoin quickly on: July 07, 2017, 11:55:48 AM
For exemple, I go to a coffee shop, I buy a coffee, then I pay with Bitcoin, we have to wait for a confirmation, no? or the merchant will just trust me if I show my wallet?
How can we be sure that it's not a double spent transaction or something else?
Just we have to wait till august 1st until segwit is activated. Then, more retailers would come forward to accept bitcoin payments since transactions would be confirmed soon. Then we would be buy any thing quickly.
Yeah waiting to till August 1st is very important to us ,because after segwit bitcoin will goes to very advance currency and many people will come in bitcoin market and accept it. I am also sure after segwit people will use bitcoin very easily and many shop accept it as a payment.

Confirmation time is OK, but what will be with fees? Do you think you will pay for coffee 2 $ and fee for sending bitcoins also 2 $, that sounds like if you are buying coffee with bitcoins you will pay double price.
I don't like all the drama about 1 August, we are all talking about it, we have big hopes and dreams about activation of segwit, but how many of us really know whst will happen. Yes we have big dreams and hopes but that can disappear in a second, the more close the activation is, I'm more afraid, and except many argues on this forum about segwit, bu, and in last days anticipation of 1 August I didn't saw nothing solid to hold on, closer it is I'm more convinced that we can't say much before it happens.
2105  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in Economics class? on: July 07, 2017, 08:06:26 AM
Teaching of bitcoin related topics is not something I see happening over here anytime soon because its just by default for anyone who wants to teach about a topic should have adequate knowledge about it which is something so lacking in the current set of lecturers available in higher institutions of learning we have here coupled with the stereotyped nature of their teachings. But at the PhD level, there might be some discussions.

Situation is the same all over the world, maybe some advance classes teach about bitcoin, or at college they have some discussions, but generally bitcoin is not in schools yet. But it will be sooner or later, bitcoin made pretty big progress, economy in this world didn't see nothing similar before, and bitcoin deserved to be leaned in schools.
I think some countries will start with this practice much sooner then others, like we have now legalization in Japan and Australia maybe we can except from this two countries to implement bitcoin in early grades.
2106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where to invest my 20 BTC (lifesavings) on: July 07, 2017, 06:18:03 AM
Hey , I have bought 20.3~ Btc when it was 430USD . Now when price jumped high i would like to invest in something .
I dont want something very risky with high profit ,
I wanna invest in something with 2-2.5% monthly profit .

 For example : If i invest 20 BTC , in one month ill have 20.4 BTC ( 20BTC + 2% = 20.4)

For one who give me idea or help me ill pay some btc for being helpful and good Smiley

 Best regards

How can i give you good idea? When you have already achieved a good profit. Because as you said you bought 20 bitcoins at $430 price then its mean you are owner of $51450, it is too big money for me. You already get 100% profit from your bitcoins. Then i am speechless to give you any good idea. Enjoy your life with your 20 Bitcoins

You are talking about something very smart here, this a big money for me also and I would sit and think very good what to do next. His initial investment is already paid  off very good, and maybe he need to think about holding for a bit longer.
I don't know how smart idea it is, but I'm reading about splitting of bitcoin on two coins, some experts are saying that we need to be prepared for short time drop, and maybe its good to sell now, and to buy while this drop lasts, also I don't know how this splitting will looks like, maybe buying both of the coins later can also bring good profit.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What type of sports you love in sports betting and why? on: July 07, 2017, 03:50:26 AM
Football, or better to say soccer. Soccer is very popular in my country, when I was young I was part of one club in my city for more then 5 years and since then I love to play and watch soccer, as I'm growing older more to watch and bet in soccer then to play, that comes with years.
I like European soccer, and mostly I bet on that, champions league and worlds cups. Usually I watch the matches that I bet on, I'm very big fan of some teams and sometimes I place bet in their wins like a real fan and supporter, even if odds srr not in my favour.
2108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum best for investment? on: July 06, 2017, 10:13:23 PM
BTC had scaling drama
You will get bitcoin classic and bitcoin modern - double money.
It not dramma it happy birthday

Do you really believe in this outcome? It will be interesting to see what will happen after segwit activation, splitting bitcoin on two coins will bring some new things for sure, I can't wait to see all that on work. At the moment we have ETH and ETH classic, both are holding good and price of both is increasing, a bit slower for classic one. Will it be like that with bitcoin modern and classic how you call them?
For ETH I'm not sure what to say, I never traded with eth cause I always thought that I missed that train from beginning, but on my surprise eth price is very high now, and I'm reading all sorts of news about future of eth, even this troll news about China to legalize eth. Even I don't have special feelings about eth, this coin is going forward from beginning and look where it is now, that speaks for itself, my opinion is that eth have a lot more space to grow.
2109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which is the best altcoin exchange? on: July 06, 2017, 05:30:32 PM
For me it is Yobit of coarse !! There can be no other !! It's even in my signature ^^
Well besides them I do like coinexchange and novaexchange.
I think alcurex has potential but right now they simply do not have enough coins. There are many coins I have no idea why they do not have. I have used bittrex and it was just fine no problems at all. I use them as secondary if I find a better price there. I have tried bittler too. ( I think thats the name) I can't remmeber so I guess they were't that great.

Yobit!

There is no support, and constantly people on the troll box seeking support to old tickets.

I would say that makes it the worst. If you can not trust it to answer support questions, some of which will be about lost coins, or be costing the person money, then what have you got but a sham exchange.

Nova is okay in my experience, and may takeover from Yobit, as I sense it is upping its game.

I quit trading and exchanging bitcoins for altcoins on yobit few months ago, and I moved on poloniex. They are faster for sure, a bit better experience for me is there then on yobit, but I`m reading that they also have some problems, I see on their site that they stopped withdrawals and deposits for some coins, trollbox is temporarily off and that is maybe a good thing, I don`t know, I don`t chat there.
I store some altcoins on their site, and its a bit concerning for me when site have any problems, maybe I should think about moving further and to change poloniex for bittrex, looks they have better feedback then other online exchange sites.
2110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 06, 2017, 01:50:29 PM
there is no too late when it comes to opportunity. maybe we have different timelines in life. it doesn't mean that when others are already in to it you are already late. i don't believe that i'am late in bitcoin industry today. i may be late in hearing this btc as an opportunity but it is not too late to take an action and start now

It's never too late for buying bitcoins if you can spent some money on it. Did I say some money, that is a mistake just a year ago with 3000$ someone could buy 5 or more bitcoins, now for 5 bitcoins you need around 13000$. Bitcoin become very expensive, and we all hope that price can increase on 5 or 10 thousands of dollars for one bitcoin, then hell yea this is a great moment for buying, cause just in a few years you can pick up profit minimum 3 times bigger, and that is for couple years, looks like the more you hold, more you worth over the time, just if you have patience for waiting, and other sources of income for life outside bitcoin world.
2111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have a future? on: July 05, 2017, 03:20:19 PM
I think bitcoin and many other crypto's have a bright future! There is a of great development behind the scenes to a degree most of us could not comprehend so I really doubt that bitcoin will be going anywhere. Its a strong community and has so much potential still waiting to be unlocked.
All the coins have a bright future ahead, I know that. It will be like some sort of new currencies, papers and real coins will be replaced into a digital and technology driven currency. The potential of it is growing day by day, many of people in the businesses and even ordinary people uses this cryptocurrency and with that, if a lot more people will know about it. They will choose it because it is less hassle than real money because it is pretty handy and can be controlled by a mobile phones.

Not all the coins, that is simply too much, and history shows that many coins that appears don`t last much, they are made for scamming people. I think that change from fiat currencies to digital ones will happen one day in the far future, fiat currencies are still very strong. But some coins already made very nice increase, and they are on the scene for years, they follow bitcoin fluctuations and over the time their price increased significantly.
In respect of bitcoin situation is clear, recently I saw news that bitcoin in past month records more then 1 million new people (I will look for that article, I saw that on fb), price is holding and we made new all times high just couple weeks ago, and now we are sure more then ever before that bitcoin is capable for reaching even higher prices in the future.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you guys think about Casino and dice games? on: July 05, 2017, 04:01:15 AM
Hey.
I was just wondering to myself, do you guys believe that online casinos are totally legit, or do you also believe that some of them are rigging outcomes.
One of the reason I prefer to bet on sports and not on dice games or at online casinos is that I can't actually know if the casino is paying me as they should, or they tell me that I lost while I was supposed to be a winner.

Does the small house edge(compared to sports betting) worth the chance of the casino rigging the outcomes, making you lose sometimes while you were supposed to be the winner?

legit or not,its just depend on how we play on that online casino,so many users here are gambler, and have no problem with online casino, they play and earn safely,if you still not believe with online casino, just take a short play, dont keep your bitcoin on casino account for long time, its simple in my opinion.

And with casino games its mostly about luck, and little strategy, by that I mean rising bets in right moment, right before the win. I prefer to play casino games like roulette and slots more then I play dices, cause slots and roulette are more fun to play, its my taste. I think that bitcoin gambling sites are legit, I encountered with many different rules on each site, restrictions etc, and before depositing money in some casino reads terms, or ask support about your concerns, I deposited few times and waited for some free spins, or cash backs but I didn't got nothing cause of the country I live in, but I found out only after I deposited, in some casino if you take bonuse you can't play all games, and similar things.
2113  Economy / Economics / Re: If USD falls on: July 04, 2017, 06:18:04 PM
If USD will fall then world economy will face a deflation at a certain period, because of having much importance of USD in the world economy it is playing a balance role in every aspect, that's why most of the fundamental goods and services are measured by the USD.
So falling down of USD will not a good sign for the financial condition of the developed countries specially in the continent of America...
I think otherwise. The dollar is the reserve currency and almost all governments of the world have a strategic stock of cash dollars and shares in American companies and banks. If the dollar falls there will be inflation. The economies of all countries will lose their reserves.

When the and if crash occures anyone who holds dollar-denominated assets will sell them at any cost, these parties will demand assets denominated in anything other than dollars. The collapse of the dollar means that everyone is trying to sell their dollar-denominated assets, and no one wants to buy them. What is anything other then dollar? That can be bitcoin, or other fiat or crypto currencies.
Dollars are reserve currency, by that I think that China have most reserves in dollars, and then other countries, they will lose if dollar collapse. But I doubt that we will see dollar collapsing in near future.
2114  Economy / Speculation / Re: If I buy just 5 bitcoin today 2500$, Next 5 years bitcoin will be 15000$ on: July 04, 2017, 04:27:33 PM
If I buy just 5 bitcoin today 2500$, Next 5 years bitcoin will be 15000$

this is the way that I should invest or not?

Well, for me it is good idea. You should buy bitcoins now until its price is not that big enough because there's a possibility that the every year will pass bitcoins price will goes up too. Furthermore, I do believe that if you invest your money on bitcoin and wait for the right time to sell you could guarantee that you will get a high profit.

5 bitcoins today is around 13000$, and in 5 years  5 bitcoins can worth 26000$ or 75000$, but who can guarantee that. I'm sure that here in forum there is many people who hold much more coins, and they hold for a long time and they don't plan to stop any time soon. Price will go up, and that is in what most of us here believe, if OP have 13000 on a side and he doesn't know where to invest it then he should buy bitcoins for his money.
Before we reach 4 digits price we will see many ups and downs, its like that with bitcoin, and I think bitcoin needs couple more years before we get closer to 4 digits.
2115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 04, 2017, 10:45:43 AM
Many people say that bitcoin is one way to gain wealth. This is true, because with bitcoin we can earn a lot of money.
We can do the job wherever we are. Trading instantly is one of the advantages of bitcoin compared to other investment media.

You pointed some advantages that bitcoin have, many people invest money and making more with bitcoin trading, you can do many things and all you need is internet. Just ways to get instantly rich are in most cases very risky, to earn a lot very fast usually means that you need to risk a lot from what you already have, not everyone can afford to go all in, and many are scared from this step.
Instantly getting rich is like gambling, the bigger bankroll is always important for maximum profit, with trading is pretty much the same. Bottom line is you need money to make money, if you are starting from zero instantly getting rich is almost impossible. It takes time, efforts, sacrifices, and a lot of patience.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Won 0.4 Btc with 0.1 Btc deposit! Finally a deposit which came out xd on: July 04, 2017, 09:40:52 AM
You played slots, and just on slots you can earn so much in so short period. But trust me when I say on slots its easy to lose much more then 0.1 btc very fast. I see OP lost at mbitcasino, once I lost around 0.2 btc in 10 minutes, in that time I had maybe 10 win spins with 10% from bet payout, that means nothing and like that to the end, I was disappointed, and I never went there again.
Congratulations for win, I know how nice it feels when you make nice amount on slots, I love it. Slots are expensive to play, and even I play sometimes with very small bankroll that isn`t that, for slots you need a lot of money to be able to miss, miss, miss and then raise bets and miss and raise bets and when you hit the bonus you get all back with very nice reward.
2117  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10K at the end of 2017? on: July 03, 2017, 02:45:15 PM
Here on the forum everyone is self proclaimed bitcoin expert, and speculation threads are full with many different predictions, from zero to the moon. Since I'm here people always wish for more, when we get to 10000$ people will wish to see 20000$, and when will that stop?
I also expect price to rise, don't get me wrong, but maybe we need to be patient and wait that to happen naturally, with good news and adoption price can go up slowly, and 10000$ before new year is not slowly at all. I'm trying to think about what needs to happen for bitcoin to increase so much, some massive adoption, many countries to legalize bitcoin, or just activation of segwit is enough?! I'm not sure, bitcoin price surprised me too many times until now, I doubt in 10k before new year, but but, who knows.
2118  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Chatbox on poloniex on: July 03, 2017, 10:05:58 AM
Who other than newbies will take a single word from the trollbox seriously? Originally, these chat boxes were there for traders to discuss strategies, sentiment, etc. It got rebranded to trollbox because these sites have been infested with newbies just burning down every quality discussion with pure gibberish. Nowadays they have no value, and thus should be removed permanently. Or these chat boxes should only be accessible to people with an account balance of +$10k.

I wouldn't mind a Leetbox. To view or post you'd have to have generated a certain amount of historical trade.

RichardsNY is right, who is taking this chat seriously? I was newbie once and I really followed some advice's from Yobit chat, later I saw how big mistake I made and since then I don't even take a look on chat. I didn't notice that poloniex shut down their troll box, that is Mora appropriate name, they just wrote and wrote, its very hard to follow what is going on, and maybe its better that is gone.
I agree that this chats should be accessible for posting just to some people, and I wouldn't forbid reading, at least watching and reading would be more interesting for people like me. I like to read what people have to say about some coins.
2119  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: July 03, 2017, 07:30:54 AM
I also think that crypto currency will be future of money, so it should be kept for taking different types of benefit in the purpose of purchasing goods and business purposes, so it is a wise decision for collecting Bitcoin for the future purpose, it can be a good asset in the future.

There’s a number of reasons why cryptocurrencies are so popular. They are not controlled or regulated by some singular authority, and that attract many people that are disappointed in governments all over the world. Maybe it is too soon to tell. But if there is one thing we know for sure, it is that many altcoins have a wide appeal with a particular section of technologically, there is something for everyone`s taste. I think that cryptocurrencies are set to play a major role in the future global economy.
Crypto currency is irrelevant to the economy. It's just an investment. In the economy investments to stimulate production, and on crypto market investment stimulate investment. This is the path to a dead end. What do you think?

Cryptocurrencies are not just an investment, you can use them for many other things at the moment. Irrelevant was in the beginning, but with time they are more and more important to individuals and groups, people earn here for a living or becoming millionaires, that carry some responsibilities. Also take a look how many services and businesses are popping up almost every day, that is what stimulates economy. That is far from dead end, cryptocurrencies will be a very important part of global economy one day, for that to happen bitcoin needs to be regulated in many countries like its in Japan and Australia now, after that we will see massive adoption.
2120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Casinos Are There in Your Country? on: July 03, 2017, 05:40:41 AM
In my country there is a lot of small casinos, nothing big like couple rooms with some slots, roulettes in most cases are electronic ones, and that is combined with sport betting. Just in capitol we have some really big casinos, but in other towns no.
How many casinos we have is hard to say, little betting houses are almost on every corner, just in my neighborhood there is more then 10 I think, and in all town probably more then 100. Roughly said more in my country there is more then 1000 casinos, I will try to check how many casinos is there exactly, but I'm not sure that I can find that information. They are little and focused on people who live near, people bet on sports mostly in my surrounding, and just few of them occasionally play something other then sports, maybe cause of that there is so many betting houses in my country.
