2121  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: June 05, 2013, 11:42:30 PM
Nice. I only have a year's worth of production to go. I am still excited though and know BFL has had its challenges.

They have lots of orders, and now that hardware is pouring in, I guess they are ramping up production/shipping.
Also I guess they have a lot of new orders coming in, now that people see that it's no longer vaporware.

The faster they can make them, the more they can sell etc. Also the race is now on to be the first company to have ASICs on stock and ready to ship to individual consumers.

The small models seem to be coming along fine.

I think BFL should refund the minirig pre-orders, apologize publicly, and launch a new high end model not so ambitious, which is actually possible to build with the chip technology they have. Obviously letting the people who ordered the minirig to be first in line if they want it. It should also be realistically priced, the minirig was way too cheap for the massive amount of ASIC chips it would have needed, and 8,000-10,000 watts worth of power supplies, think 3 phase with all the approvals, country specific issues etc. I was not going to happen.

If I had a minirig order I would have cancelled it months ago, at least when they stopped allowing new orders for it back in April, that would have been a warning bell. I guess some people are just so rich they don't care.

Where would you recommend getting the TL-WR703N from ?

This mob has it with DD-Wrt pre-installed.

what is the best p2pool right now paying instantly? like to try mining digitalcoin Smiley

All p2pools should pay out instantly. Try to find one close to you with good efficiency %.

Bringing up another p2pool on the East Coast of America.

This one is on the West Coast: dgc.xpool.net:8810

Not quite true, you make take several hours to find a share before you are even eligible for a payout, and then the pool has to find a block, unlike say a PPS pool which will simply credit your account the instant a block is found. DGC needs a PPS pool or two.

So glad I bailed on BFL and got rid of my pre-order

Mine DGC with your GPU, it's the best coin ATM.

Will it list on Cryptsy?
2126  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: June 05, 2013, 08:44:58 PM
On http://bfl.ptz.ro/ al orders for jallys were updated at once, (for 2012/06/25 /24 /23) without any exception, so i think the moderator just marked them all as delivered for some reason,
Does not look like it was user input, because some users would have forgotten to update the status

how legit is this site?
It's not very accurate people are putting bogus orders on it. For example BFL took the ability to order a BitForce Mini Rig SC off their shopping cart early April and there are heaps of orders for it dated after that.

2127  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: June 05, 2013, 08:32:05 PM
Perhaps BFL can just open their books and show us all we have nothing to worry about. Very good point about the low post positive reports.

BFL is a private company, you are not entitled to see their books. No sane private company would do that. If you have some doubts cancel your order and let those people that are happy move up the queue.

Bullshit, the customer paid for their product deciding to ship out chips, vs ship out miners doesn't change anything. The customer paid for those components and legally own them BFL just has possession.

They said they could ship 400 asics daily, where the fuck are they?
You have no idea what you are talking about, the invoice/receipt for the components from the suppliers will say BFL is the legal owner, not you or any other person that placed an order for that miner, and that will stand up in a court of law, in fact it wouldn't even make  it  to court is such a stupid claim. Please cancel your order and let normal people move up the queue.

2128  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: June 05, 2013, 07:34:50 PM

What do you mean scrape up funds, those chips are already paid for by the customer.

What a load of rubbish. The customers paid for a miner, not components, BFL paid for the components and legally own them. BFL are entitled to then sell those components to anyone they choose be it part of a miner or separate, or they could suddenly decide to use different components in the miners,  and you have absolutely no say in it. Stop trying to spread misinformation.

2129  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: my jalapeno shipped on: June 05, 2013, 06:22:59 PM

They will use USPS to ship to china? how much that costs?
About $80 so BFL will probably charge $88

Most every Jalapeno order through July 3 went out today. I can't say every order, because stuff happens. It is a lot more fun to ship than not.

And like the Jalapenos, I will post when the other products start shipping. If I don't mention them--they aren't shipping.

I think we fixed the bug that made your orders disappear when they went to production.

Thank you for the kind words; all others I ignore.

2131  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: June 05, 2013, 05:07:46 AM
The Arduino won't be suitable for acting as a controller unless you plan on writing your own miner software (cgminer and derivatives will not run on it).

For my project (see sig), I haven't decided between using a low-end Celeron or Raspberry Pi. At the moment I'm leaning towards the Pi.

I am going to use an Intel Atom motherboard something like:

http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/atom/x9/x9sbaa-f.cfm

or

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-di510mo.html

I was considering a Raspberry Pi, but I don't want to restrict the OS choice to just Linux.

The Intel Atom boards are quite low power consumption, although the Mini-ITX footprint is way more than a Raspberry Pi

DGC will have a new developer joining the team! He will be an additional core developer and help maintain, upgrade, and continue digitalcoin's progress. Welcome Hazard Smiley!

So you won't tell us who you are or give us reason to invest in your coin other than you changed a few parameters?  That's what I thought.  A talentless asshat.

And you sir are nothing but a troll that will find a nice home in people's ignore lists.

2133  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: June 05, 2013, 02:25:44 AM

I'm happy to order all my parts off you to help add to your buying power but it may not be feasible because of the amount I'm after.
I'm just worried about the diminishing supplies of the PIC and am tempted to order them now to avoid being left out in the cold.
I really don't mind flashing them myself, it's one of the only things I would actually trust myself to do.  Tongue

I just use one of these Pickit 3 clones from eBay to flash my Pic32s, there are a lot of them:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clone-Microchip-Development-Programmer-Mini-PICKIT-3-/350637699036?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51a3a2afdc

Make sure you get it from a reasonable trader.

Baratius or barbarious or Barbie or whatever.  Would you please answer my question directed at you right after you posted in my thread?  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225643.0

Who are you and what qualifications do you have for running a crypto and why should I trust a person who joined a few weeks ago?

Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? You wouldn't have a clue, would you?

What gives you the right to ask probing questions about a dev?

We are talking about an open source community project here, not some corporate profile.

There may need to be some auction management for the dgcmarket investigating some of the auctions.  Here is a post for a Butterfly Labs 50 GH/s Bitcoin Miner that the poster says "I am no longer mining, this miner is in great working order.".

It is my understanding that only the 5 GH/s Jalapeno (now called the "BitForce 5 GH/s SC") was the only model shipped and that was to fulfill the June 2012 orders and some to bloggers/testers.  I could not even find a post mentioning a BFL 50GH/s miner being sent to anyone to inspect/test/write about.

Here is a link to the BFL shipping posts.

To me, unless there is some supporting evidence, this auction poster called "jellyfish" is probably trying to rip someone off.

His other auctions are for a gold bar and for 50 bitcoins which should also be investigated.

Looks like a ripoff. I certainly wouldn't bid on it. He is probably trying to take advantage of non-reversible crypto transactions.

I know we shouldn't be talking about the BFL chips in this thread but I couldn't resist...I was reading their thread on the BFL site and it is hilarious. Minimum order 100 @ $97 a chip. Payment in BTC preferred (gee I wonder why). They still aren't shipping assembled units in any quantity and people are excited that they can throw more good money after bad  Shocked

BKK thanks so much for these awesome looking designs, I am so excited to have a few K16s in hand in July/August (Steamboat batch 3) Cool
No doubt BFL are doing this purely to be seen as responding to the Avalon offer, with no real business plan around it. It might have a side effect of improving their wafer buy price with increased quantities.

2137  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: my jalapeno shipped on: June 04, 2013, 11:38:21 PM

delivering a product 1 year after u paid for it is ok and just fine with u ?
I am not stupid enough to pre-order a product that I haven't seen at least a prototype demonstrated or reviewed. I am interested in a klondike board but I will not place and order until I see a working prototype tested and reviewed, same goes for BFL.

2138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cool new BLF scam grab you cash and line up suckers on: June 04, 2013, 11:33:47 PM
They just don't give up now they are trying to sell parts from a no-existent product
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/announcements/3014-butterfly-labs-announces-bulk-chip-sales.html

This is not new, there are several threads already in the appropriate sections of the forums.

This also has nothing to do with the Alternate cryptocurrencies try posting your cheap smear attempt in the Mining Hardware forum like other people do. Or at the very least the Bitcoin mining forums as that's what BFL chips are designed to do.
