2141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: January 10, 2022, 08:38:30 PM
Without a doubt there are many potential applications for NFTs, but we are at the early stages of what we can expect out of them, as the technology is still too new to know where it will exactly lead.

For example we have seen that some artists have sold their digital art for a lot of money, but there are also a lot of people stealing digital art, trying to make it pass as their own, selling it and taking away profits from the real artists that now have no chance to remove those NFTs from the market and see how their work is being sold for a lot of money and they get nothing in return for their efforts.
I would guess that the end of NFT applications are not really just art, we have seen that so far, there are ton of applications that it has been used for. Music is something I am still very shocked about but it has happened, people are selling their music as NFT and making money from it. Also there are artists who can get NFT's removed by laws, it makes the NFT null, so the person who bought that NFT now has something that worths nothing, but the seller, the real person who stole the art still managed to sell it so there are no returns for it unless he is found and charged.

I have to say it is certainly not a big deal of it right now, there are millions of dollars going on art alone, but the gaming part is still in its infancy. Imagine huge corporations like 2k, rockstar, ea, ubisfot, cd projekt and so forth all getting into this, it is going to change the gaming world. Don't get me even started on the mobile games.
2142  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Comparison of Bitcoin price fluctuations with other coins. on: January 08, 2022, 03:29:35 PM
I think bitcoin price fluctuations have a deep relationship with other coin price fluctuations, what do you think about this?
The influence of bitcoin prices in other coins is obvious as all other coins are getting their value in terms of bitcoin and when bitcoin is rising then most coins will diminish and also when bitcoin is falling then most altcoins will fall but when bitcoin is trading in range bound then altcoins may rise. But, these are based on observations and there will be limitation for these to remain true all the times.

Except few altcoins, all others are lagging in decent volume which is the reason they do get manipulated easily. In such cases, we cannot expect any relation between bitcoin and altcoins.
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 07, 2022, 09:25:27 PM
Juventus destroyed my bets today....I wasn't impressed with them at all.
At least they came back to secure ba draw from this game, the odds in betting can be confusing at times.
Have they any additional player from the transfer window to their squad ?
Did you choose Juventus on the ML bet?
Juventus target Liverpool striker Origi but no further news on this
https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/01/01/liverpool-divock-origi-juventus-january-transfer-report/

Unfortunately, again there will be postponed match in week 21. Udinese vs Atlanta experienced this, means that Atlanta already have two postponed games that will make their schedule busier in the following week.
They are looking at Cavani and Aubameyang as well as far as I know. Origi probably won't happen because he is actually a great player that contributes to the team. So that means he is not going to be available for cheap and they would have to pay a lot to get him. Whereas Auby and Cavani worth fraction of that probably, I mean transfarmerkt shows that they are close with Aubameyang but I feel like since Origi is younger there is a good chance he might cost more than what he is valued.

So, a transfer like Aubameyang could be a little bit more realistic for Juventus. Also I have to point on Napoli is not a bad team neither, they are higher than Juventus on standings so it wasn't a shock that they ended up losing.
2144  Economy / Economics / Re: LEGO Sets Are Better Investments than Stocks, Bonds or Even Gold on: January 07, 2022, 07:11:18 PM
Who would have thought that Lego could be of value? My child's interest disappears as soon as he assembles another Lego car or model. The further fate of these plastic kits falls into one large box with toys, or simply wallows underfoot. I will definitely explain to my son that by scattering these objects, he is simply walking on the future money. Grin
Although yes, in a new form, Lego sets are quite expensive in our country.
This is not regarding the small item that you buy in every store. This is more about the unique ones that are limited edition. Regular legos do not really worth that much, still worths a good amount of course but those pieces are manufactured constantly and they do not have that kind of value unfortunately.

The unique ones that you combine and build something do have it. So, if you are getting "any" shape and box and just build whatever you want with it, then it usually doesn't worth that much even after decades, whereas if you buy something like let's say a death star from star wars type of thing then it does worth money in the end because it is limited and so forth.
2145  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need bitcoin... on: January 07, 2022, 05:42:58 PM
I don't think it's news to anyone that money always depreciates. This is due to the fact that money is not a way of storing value, but a means of exchange. Most ordinary people confuse this feature.

Please note that the rich people of the planet don't keep their wealth in money, but keep it in gold, real estate, enterprises and shares of various companies + some in bicoin / crypto.

It is not worth comparing money and bitcoin. In this they have completely different purposes. Although in the beginning bitcoin should have become an alternative to money, but as we all can see, BTC acquired a different purpose as an investment instrument.
I would say that money is means to exchange value but at the same time it doesn't "have to" lose value neither. Doesn't mean it needs to get more valuable neither but there is nothing that says means of exchange needs to drop in value neither.

So, people are getting more mad about the current situation because they are losing so much money whereas they are not making that much more. Imagine USA, we had minimum wage salary crisis in USA and everyone talked about 15 bucks should be minimum way before this inflation, now it should probably be 20+ if you ask me per hour.

However they do not have it and politicians didn't agree on it and it is still a bit over 7 bucks in a world where there is inflation. So, it means that fiat doesn't "need to" lose value, but in a world where people still make very little salary and not increasing, it is silly to accept fiat being so worthless all of a sudden.
2146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage Trading on: January 07, 2022, 03:40:55 PM
No difference unless you want to throw your $100 away, and which could have been better if saved in Bitcoin. Nothing great was built overnight.

If we look at when you posted your question, and the current mini-crash, I believe your $100 with 50x leverage gamble didn’t last you more than a day. Cool
Unless he shorted it, there is shorting available as well and if you shorted at that time with 100 bucks and the price went low, then it would have been a over a thousand dollars depending on what type of leverage was used. I am not saying that leverage trading is great and all, we literally have a majority failing at spot trading so to expect that people could be great at leverage trading would be naive.

Unfortunately people can't keep their emotions out of trading and that results with bad situations which means if you put that into leverage people would be even more emotional and things going to end up not being so profitable and also psychologically a problem.
2147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not too late to meet up on: January 07, 2022, 07:18:08 AM
The beginning of the year can be a good reminder and good start for those who think they missed the opportunity of investing in the previous years. I know starting thing at the beginning of the year is easier for most people.
Things are slowly changing. It seems market is about to provide a big discount to those who are still looking to enter. I must suggest anyone who wish to buy now, should go for DCA as slow and steady will help them to accumulate at better average. This year will be another exciting for bitcoin by considering upcoming positive regulations from many governments hence buying now with year long holding plans will not disappoint anyone.

I got a surprising new year bonus last week and I have bought bitcoin for 20% of my bonus and I still hold another 20% to buy more by end of this month (and the remaining bonus were spent of on all other expenses Sad).
2148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 07, 2022, 06:25:30 AM
greed makes them rush to jump in and start trading without exploring it first. and they lose because of their greed.
This is definitely not the case for many people; yeah there are people who switch over to long term trading after few losing experiences in crypto trading due to high volatility. Unlike any other market, crypto trading will be a definite profitable one in long run which makes things easier even for greedy people. Your greedy may lead you to bankruptcy when you are running out of time (like liquidation reasons) but when you trade with no-time limit, your greed may help you to achieve what you want.

early in my career I went bankrupt because of greed. But in the end it taught me a lesson to be able to control myself from greed and to prioritize common sense.
But, 90% of traders do repeat the same mistake again and again which includes multiple bankruptcy as well. I like to suggest you to go for 60% of your capital into long term and only with remaining you may go with active trading along with your prioritized common sense.
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 06, 2022, 09:50:55 PM
Newcastle is now being connected to both Umtiti and Ramsey. It appears that every player that is free to leave their club is connected with them, it is beginning to look a bit funny.

Umtiti was a bit unlucky with injuries and I feel he's a better player than he showed so far but Botman looks like a more concrete option for them long-term. I don't see Ramsey happening, he's on a huge contract and he hasn't played good in a while.

Newcastle still needs like 5+ players so this will be interesting to follow.
I would say it makes sense because Newcastle needs to improve the quality of the team and they have way more than they need to do that, since they do not have to follow financial fair play and can't go to champions league or anywhere else, they could just go a bit over as well. Plus, they could just show some super rich wealthy Arabian company sponsoring them later on and fix all of it, would be fake obviously but we all know how PSG and City is not making as much as they are spending and yet they are doing it on paper in a fake manner.

So, whoever is better than their player and free, they can get them right away and try to make the second part of the season a bit better. I am not saying that they will be not regulating, but they should be fighting harder to not regulate, otherwise it is one season lost for them since they can afford to get whoever they want as long as they can convince the players.
2150  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we in a bear trap? on: January 06, 2022, 08:53:23 PM
We have already touched 60k and even 70k I believe so 100k is not a dream but a very realistic and near-future price, possibly. So, by considering the potential of bitcoin and about on-going adaption rate, I guess we are going to have another strong bull rally which might be taking us into new heights.

Bear trap might be a right term to call the current scenario of bitcoin market as market is able to hold above $47k levels which means we still have stronger supports around $45k to $46k levels hence upside movement would be the next thing we are going to have as of now.
Not yet for $70k but that was too close. $100k is going to happen. Did we even think of $40k and $50k before that it was very possible? I guess not. Everyone that's looking at bitcoin when it's low at $3k and even lower than that never thought that these days will come into reality. That's why if we see some bear traps today, that's essential to happen but it doesn't mean that it will stay there for long. The chance of going $100k is very plausible.
I have to say that whenever bitcoin price drops like this, there are a lot of people who come out as doubters. It is of course easier to say that bitcoin will be doing badly when you see bitcoin doing badly, but it is hard to say it when it is going up. So sometimes when we have a crash like this which is tiny if you look at it, then people who doubt bitcoin will come out and act as if they knew it all along when in fact we are 40k+ and that is a huge number compared to just a year ago.

This is why we should be ignoring those people, look at the long term aspects of bitcoin and be hopeful that we will always have these kinds of "falls". I would love to see it go to 120k and then "fall" to 90k, I am telling you people will talk about how bitcoin is dying and crashing and ending when that happens as well. We are "down" to 43k, that is as good as it gets and yet you can't make some people happy.
2151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2022 is the time to buy or sell? on: January 06, 2022, 07:48:15 PM
As for 2022 and the purchase of cryptocurrency, I believe that you need to pay attention to precisely those trends that are either already in a trend or will be in a trend. Of course, this is BTC itself and some altcoins, for example, the top 10 altcoins. you can also choose promising crypto assets from the DeFi and NFT sector, as well as the new direction of the Metaverse. But I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that it is best to invest at the right time, and this is precisely on the price drawdown, that is, when the market goes down, and not buy on the rise.
That is a great point. Whenever price goes down, we know that "eventually" it will go up. Nobody knows when it will be, but we all know that this price is not the top of this year, we will definitely go higher. It means that if you buy at this price, and wait for it, there will be a moment when you will profit. How cool is that? Knowing that if you buy something right now, you are guaranteed to make a profit within a year?

I personally really enjoy this situation and I really would love to see it get better as well but sometimes these downs are just great situations to be in. So, right now may not look bright but to have something that is as guaranteed as "buy bitcoin and you will profit" in your hands right now is a great feeling for sure.
2152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will competitors defeat ETH due to ever-increasing gas fees? on: January 06, 2022, 07:12:15 PM
The more projects switch to alternative smart contract platforms, the faster ETH will lose traction on the market. There are many fierce competitors on the crypto/Blockchain space that are too hard to ignore these days. People are often looking for convenience (instead of decentralization) so they'll choose cryptocurrencies with the lowest fees and fastest confirmation times. Consider why BNB went all the way to the top within just a few years since its inception. It's now the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, challenging Ethereum in every way.
I am pretty sure that even the ones who have it on ETH are trying to bridge over to Matic these days. I have seen a game that has a lot of different games under one umbrella and they are testing Matic as well. It is called revv racing and they have both revv racing regular game, f1 delta time and have motosports as well, and they are testing out matic with the revv one.

I am pretty sure that when people realize the benefits of it, they are going to go full on with the matic move. I am not saying that they won't do any ETH ever again, some games will definitely stay there no doubt but the new ones are looking at matic and even other networks increasingly more and more.
2153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good metaverse tokens. on: January 05, 2022, 09:49:02 PM
Can anyone introduce a list of good metaverse tokens for 2022?
I feel like there are crypto corporations that could get involved with these things and that is the most important part of it. This in return have to be something that is a bit more on the side of reality as well. Not saying that you have to buy real lands for example, but at least it should have some real life utility as well.

Look at Axie, it makes you earn money and you sell that and can get fiat in return, helps you in real life. What does sandbox do? Sell land, which hopefully goes up but by that logic I could buy bitcoin and hope for it to go up too, what is the feature that is different here other than "hope it goes up"? This is why I do not trust sandbox just yet, nor decentraland.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 05, 2022, 09:23:53 PM
I remember Empoli's match against Napoli also. It was a really unexpected win for me honestly and most people were thinking the same too. They are capable of shocking any big team this season. This is a sure thing. But on the other hand, this is a must-win match for Lazio too. Because only three days after this match, Lazio are going to be playing an away match against Inter. And they'd like to win before this one surely. We'll see if they'll succeed.
There are some of those teams that make it like super hard against big teams but not a great team themselves. You could see empoli losing to verona or get a tie against spezia or torino, all of which are worse teams than Napoli and then end up beating Napoli somehow. These teams are perfect at their "david vs goliath" thing and they are almost always great against teams which are good in the standings.

Most of the time reason for this is that when you play a very well counter-attack and fast pace game, the big clubs will try to score on you and pressure you and attack against you all game and if you are lucky then you will have this super fast pace possession and end up scoring, but when they are playing against lower level teams those teams close back and defend instead of attacking so your fast pace doesn't work all the time. It is a strategy with double edges.
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 05, 2022, 08:53:26 PM
Who's waiting for this wonderful day of NBA?

Klay Thompson Could Make His Awaited Return on January 9
What can we expect on the first day of his return?

Will he be inserted in the starters right away? or will he earn a lot of minutes in his first game?
There is no way he is going to play a lot. He is coming back from such a serious injury that he hasn't played in nearly 1.5 years, which is a BIG time. Plus he has been training for nearly a month if I am not wrong, so he is not really too fat or something and not out of shape, he is probably doing fine but injury is still there, it is just at recovered phase but not totally gone.

It means he will probably get like 10-15 minutes at most, considering how they are already winning games without him, they will not force him. I am guessing for the first 10 games or so he will have like a 15 minute capped, then next 10 games will be like 20-23 minutes capped. After that they will see how he does but 20+ games in after an injury means if there is nothing wrong then you could play normally. Remember Kobe, dude had one big injury and then he couldn't recover and got injured again and that was basically it for him.
2156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stick to altcoins or switch to Bitcoin or stablecoins? on: January 05, 2022, 08:26:53 PM
Depends on the coin you selected since if the coin you pick is so shady also doesn't have any decent volume nor have proper plans set then we must back off on it. But if we stick on top alts and pick the one who listed above on the market and also we add up the presence and seriousness of the project since we really on it a little bit.
What you said is true. While others are really panicking when thinking and during bear market, some remain to be calm because they are confident with the coins and assets they have. This is why choosing what coin to invest with in the first place is really important, most especially considering its vulnerability to be significantly affected whenever the market move and changes, and the credibility of the project itself.
Well it is about belief. If you believe in bitcoin then you would know that it will do better and good even during the bad times, but if you do not believe in bitcoin all that much and you are only interested in making money then you will leave and be in panic mode. I have been around here for so long that I have seen prices under 100 bucks, so I do not get scared about crypto, I know that it will keep doing better and better, there is no way that I would lose anything in this world because I have made my profit already. I have taken out far more than what I have put in and that's more than enough for me.

This is why I am going to end up with no regrets even if bitcoin goes to zero one day, but I doubt that it will ever go under 20k let alone go to zero. Which is why I am pretty confident and believe in this, if you do not feel the same then panic selling is possible.
2157  Economy / Speculation / Re: New year new speculation on: January 05, 2022, 06:00:44 PM
Investors prepare investments based on opportunities, so they are always ahead in terms of investment, while people usually invest relying on hype or influencer speculation, this is what distinguishes why investors can always make big profits from their investments, for example at this time, bitcoin is being corrected for so long , so that investors make big purchases of bitcoin, after the bull run is reached they will take advantage of the conditions to sell, because they know that bitcoin is the only safe and maximum cryptocurrency.
Big investors invest in things that will make them money anyway. When you have 100 million dollars, you can always find something that will make you money, hell end up buying 100 houses that worth 1 million dollars and the rent alone would be good enough to get you richer, do a refinance and refurbish and get them as collateral and you got yourself nearly 200 million dollars worth of houses and each of them getting you a rent, sure in debt but that debt is small comparatively speaking.

I have to say that there is a good chance we could end up with a lot of investments when we are rich. If you have 300 bucks saved aside, you can't really make too many investments, there are not that many options, does that mean people who have 300 bucks should never get rich? Should not be allowed to invest? Of course not, crypto works exactly for that purpose and 2022 will see a lot more people realizing this.
2158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: January 04, 2022, 09:30:46 PM
In the past month, bitcoin and altcoins have experienced very deep price declines in the 10%-15% range. However, bitcoin became the worst hit, its price corrected violently in the past month, sinking 15%. The weakening of prices occurred due to negative sentiment from China and the FED. Therefore, I see the current decline in the price of bitcoin as possible to drop to the $40k level at least at the beginning of this year.
I would say it is once again temporary. People are acting as if this is something new and there has been nothing like this before, but the reality is that we have seen these kinds of things before and we just need to find something that soothes us right now. I feel like the amount of times we went low like this is countless and then we recovered from each time.

If you want to be worried about price dropping, never get scared of those 15% drops, those are regular stuff in crypto and it is just the price going up and down due to traders. The real threat to bitcoin price is that sometimes it goes up to a level that is super high but then suddenly it has a crash. That crash is like 30%+ in a single day and maybe even 50%+ in under a week. Those type of stuff are the real scary things and nobody can predict when they will happen, so we always get caught off guard.
2159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchains with Real Utility that Get Overlooked on: January 04, 2022, 05:40:54 PM
There are a lot of blockchains in this space that are more popular than the aforementioned blockchains, and yet most of those blockchains either lack decentralization, or still lack support for smart contracts. Being a decentralized money that is a store of value is something Bitcoin already achieved over 10 years ago. New blockchains need to be able to add more utility on top of that, and the only way they can do that is by supporting DApps.

Additionally, Terra, Cosmos and Persistence are all highly interoperable with each other. The DApps on these blockchains benefit from this interoperability because they can support assets from any of the other 2 blockchains.
Unfortunately, real utility is not something people look at for the very first thing. It is for me, if I am not going to use that coin for something then I end up buying more of something in my portfolio and grow the size of that, instead of a new coin. For me, to look at a new coin, or a token then it must be used somewhere. For example, I get the whole idea of axie, why? Because we can use it somewhere, it is unlike most other NFT's, what is the point of cryptopunks? Nothing.

Hence, in order for me to really fall in love with something new and put money in there, I need to know why people buy it, and I need an answer other than "because it will go up", nobody knows what will go up and what won't.
2160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: January 03, 2022, 09:50:36 PM
Obviously not all NFTs are created equal,  while many believed that NFTs would take over the world of digital art I really think their main application will be in video games as all in-game items eventually become NFTs.

This could even some solve issues with glitches that duplicate items on games that are multiplayer as technically each item would be unique and will have a sole owner, and once the metaverse is a reality then NFTs of all kind could grow in popularity, but there is a long time before that could become the main application of NFTs.
Video games are something that is properly fit for NFT for sure, but they are not the only things neither. I feel like we are missing a big thing, I am not entirely sure what it is yet, but I know that games can't be the only things that we are looking at for NFT. For example, we could be using it for development process as well, I know that it is not really there yet but I feel like it could be done for developers.

We already have art, so why not make it more like art design for building new stuff and not just pure art and that's it, 3d art in games and other stuff are valuable, it could be used there as well. We have some musicians even selling the royalty rights of their music, and beat makers selling their beats, but it is not too known yet. All of these "extra" stuff could be great and maybe some new things could come up as well. I want to see NFT in games grow super big, but I want NFT's to be used in other places as well.
