1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 23, 2022, 08:34:34 AM
Leipzig is not an easy team to beat, they have quite an impressive record and are currently ranked 3rd on the Bundesliga standings. I am quite optimistic that after the league resumes rolling, Leipzig will be able to place its ranking up to second place, eliminating Freiburg. although not as strong as Manchester City, at least they will provide quite a fierce resistance considering they have a history of two meetings in the champions league last season. and don't forget, Leipzig has also made it difficult for Real Madrid in the second leg of the group phase. and the match was won by Leipzig with a score of 3-2.

however, that Manchester City is stronger and more of a favourite. plus at this time, Haaland is predicted to be the key for Manchester City to win a trophy in this competition. Leipzig is not the toughest opponent they will face. City is still predicted to overthrow Leipzig in the round of 16 later. it's just that, Pep Guardiola should not underestimate the opposing team.
Agree to disagree there mate. City is a huge football club now, I feel like Leipzig will not be a problem for them at all, lets just take a look at how many goals Haaland scored against them when he played for Dortmund, never really checked maybe the result is zero but I have a feeling it must be a lot.

I feel like City as a whole is better than Dortmund anyway, so we are going to see some great scoring from City. I am not saying City will just win, I say aggregate result will be 4.5+ goals easily, because City is that much better. People may see Leipzig as a good team, and when people see them lose big time, they will realize that no matter how big Leipzig could be in bundesliga, City is far superior in world of football.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: November 22, 2022, 04:56:53 AM
The chaos created by collapse of FTX was similar to 2001 dissolution of Enron, the largest bankruptcy in US history. The complete failure of corporate control is a strong message to authorities to come up with new regulation to avoid such a huge crisis which has evaporated life time savings of many families all over the world.
The message from this collapse is loud and clear. Keep your asset in no-custodial wallets.

I do not think that it is remotely close. Enron was a huge deal and because of that a lot of trouble happened overseas as well, and that was amount of money that was just insane to think about.

FTX is a small thing compared to that, sure a few billion dollars, but nothing that can be fixed with like a 5-10 billion loan to FTX could be compared to Enron, we are talking about literally going against a court and congress just to explain why you bankrupted, Enron was big that much and that’s a whole another level. I understand it is not going to be an easy thing to accept that bitcoin will not be that big for a long time, but we gotta stop overestimating our importance in global stage.
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana rise again? on: November 21, 2022, 06:13:20 PM
Many panicked and if we look at the trend of Solana being almost the same as FTX a few days ago so that Solana dropped significantly, I hope Solana can recover and strengthen again, now attacking each other the founders of cryptocurrencies and exchanges is so massive that it hurts the market.
No, compared them wrongly. Because what happened to FTX is a different issue, unlike Solana which is all about the development of the project and people aren't looking at it valuable anymore. I thought before that Solan becomes one of the promising coins in the future. In fact, I have the plan to invest more but too lucky enough that it this project shows the real situation and withdraw my plan.
Though I wasn't hopeless yet to seeing Solana will recover but the chances are very slim. We know investors are really hard to please if they already had suffer losses from a particular project.
The difference between "one of them stole, the other failed" is not as big as you think it is. Solana offered 65k TPS and got frozen even at 15k which means that they are not what they claim they are and that's going to cause a ton of problem for the investors.

Solana is something that failed, at least to me it is something that failed, they are not scammers they are not shady they are not stealing your money but they just failed to succeed which means that it is not really that much different from getting hacked or something. This is why it has been over a year since I owned any solana, I have sold all my solana and got out because to me it's just a purely failed project.
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto dump is just getting started? on: November 21, 2022, 03:10:05 PM
And so I was ready already to hold and buy more if I have spare money. Yes, it is indeed the negative influence of FTX that has been spreading and continue to change the mindset of investors. Though I wasn't worried about the incoming dump, however, I was not also happy to see people get in a panic situation because of that issue. It is really disappointing to see big exchanges get into the problem for they will certainly give a huge market impact and causes panic selling. And I see this bear market will stay longer, might some coins will tried to pump, yet it was just short pump and it drops back again.
Honestly? I do not think that it changed my mind. Sure the price went down because of FTX but that's one thing, and I believe nothing about bitcoin itself has changed and I believe that we are going to end up seeing the price go up in the long run.

It means that we shouldn't really be worried about it at all, we should be checking how it will do in the long run and bitcoin will do just fine in the long run for sure, there won't be any problems at all. I know it takes a bit of time for us to recover, and the price won't suddenly be 100k or something, but I know that this fall and bear market is a short term thing and it will one day go back to its peak prices, we just need more time.
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: November 21, 2022, 05:52:40 AM
Everyone clearly agrees that now is the right time to continue hunting for altcoins, because altcoins are at a price that is worth buying and investing in in the future when it is about to enter an increase.
but you always have to analyze it correctly because the upgrade time is still quite long, so if you place it wrong, you might experience unwanted losses.
because a long waiting time can obviously result in unexpected things happening on its way, so to be safe there's nothing wrong with placing on a reliable coin like ETH, BNB.
To continue? Will that mean that you stop investing at some point? Well maybe it's because you are only a short term investor but for us long term investors, we never stop investing because the coin that we only invest are coins which are worth it. We can sometimes buy them when their value isn't really low but those coins still have a potential to grow for more so we can still be able to recover what we have spend with them.

We are at the bear market and all coins are dumping but don't say that all of them are now worth buying. A cheap price shouldn't blind you about the quality of the coin you are investing with. It was the coin, is the one that you need to analyse and not that if the dump will continue for more or not.
1246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened with crypto? on: November 20, 2022, 08:22:50 PM
This is like previous events where the price will decrease after bitcoin reaches a peak. But this time, we didn't expect the decline to be very drastic and almost touched the lowest point in 2020 and has already passed the lowest price in 2021. This gives us the experience that bitcoin is still moving very wildly and can be at any price point so we have to be careful if we want to invest in bitcoin.

The cause may be war, global problems, or government interference in the market. But since the beginning of this year, a lot of news and events have decreased the bitcoin price. We can only survive and you have a good time buying or investing in bitcoin again, considering that you already made a profit in 2021.
Yeah, nothing really new in here. The drop in the price, the inflation/recession, the war, the collapse of the exchanges and any other issues. All of them are already faced by us even before. The op is already registered on 2013. He have more experience than the rest of us here who only discovered crypto during the first boom in 2017 but he is the one that acts like a noob.

I think with that experience of him he can just browse the forum topics to easily know about the latest happening or he can also search using some specific key words in google but I guess he just too lazy to do that and only want's us to spoon feed him with info's.
1247  Economy / Economics / Re: Global recession alarm, safe money on: November 19, 2022, 09:14:09 PM
Apart from securing assets, I would add that I have a reserve amount of cash to stay prepared for a recession. it is very necessary, even though it has to reduce the value of the investment allocation but at least DCA is done by buying and withdrawing to a safer wallet. In fact, the global recession has occurred in several countries, and like it or not, we have to be prepared to face the bad possibility of the impact that will hit the economy in bulk.

Recovery after last year's Covid-19 Pandemic has disrupted the balance of the world economy, and we are in recovery maybe not as bad as during the Pandemic. There is no need to panic excessively because we only need to control finances as sparingly as possible.
I would say if you are doing DCA then you shouldn't have any reserve cash. I think it's at a moment where you have to cancel your vacation plans, cancel the subscription you have to somewhere, cancel the costs and increase the amount of money you could have and even go into debt and ALL that money should go to investing.

I know people do not like to hear that, but right now is the moment to have no cash, and even credit card debt, and all go to crypto. I did that, I have a huge huge huge credit card debt right now, lived off that, and used the cash to buy bitcoin with it all. I do not advice this to people, don't do that, but at least not have cash reserves neither.
1248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can someone teach me where have High Return Invest Program on: November 19, 2022, 05:21:02 AM
That is a lot better in the long run and that’s why I prefer it. I have been running a 50% bitcoin, 30% ethereum and 20% bnb run for a long time and I believe that it would be the key to success as well. I know that a lot of people will not be able to focus on that part and they end up losing hope from bitcoin and look for something else to make a lot of profit.

But at the end of the day, it’s not going to be profitable to invest into something that’s dangerous because while you are trying to make a profit, you are going to lose money instead. All those alts people invest with hopes of high return, will end up being a lot more risky and could cause them to lose a lot of money.
That’s a good approach, it allows you to both be risk averse, but also be able to take advantage of the increases in the crypto market. People think about low cap small tokens a lot for making a profit, and I do not understand how they think it could work well in the long run.

It’s obvious that it will not be that easy, it will take a while before it could ever be profitable or even lose all of their money. On the other hand, what you do could make you a lot of profit, and they all look great, but it’s also not risky enough that the prices of them would crash to zero, it could go down, but not to zero. That’s the way people should learn to invest, would help them a ton.
1249  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is now the difference with Ponzi platforms with cryptocurrency exchanges on: November 18, 2022, 06:48:05 PM
Binance collapsing would be quite difficult, it would require a lot of money to do that and I do not think that it would be that possible. I am not saying that it's impossible neither, but it’s quite difficult for something that large to ever drop victim to some hacking attempt.

I would like to emphasize very carefully, I am not saying "impossible" so take all the safety and security measures that you can, that’s a guaranteed thing, if you can do that then it would be great, but if you don't and you have to put it on some exchange, Binance is better than any other and that would be a much better method for you, because all other exchanges are even worse.
That’s true, it would be very unlikely that we would see Binance going down. I feel like they would be doing security beer than anyone and they wouldn't go with these child’s play stuff that other exchanges which think they are super smart and does in order to bankrupt. FTX did some silly stuff obviously thinking they can get away with it, and obviously they couldn't and that’s why they dropped to this low levels, otherwise they wouldn't.

Binance is too smart and they wouldn't let such things happen and that’s why I believe they would never be turning into a scam. However, OP is right about the ponzi situation, exchanges do not have as much money as they claim they do, and that’s a problem.
1250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ONE MAJOR LESSON LEARNT SO FAR THIS WEEK FROM THE CRYPTO MARKET 😥 on: November 18, 2022, 03:16:31 PM
I personally, learnt to always take profit.
I myself believe in the principle of always take profit. Because I don't like to wait if there is a profit from my investment whether it is less or more. A good opportunity came this week to make some profit. The market was dumped a lot this week. So I invested some USD and then sold when the market pumped again.
I do agree that it was a big drop, but that doesn't mean that we should be focusing on the drop and going all the way to USD because let’s not forget that it was printed so much. Yes, the value is growing a lot recently, but that is because of the interest rate going up too, at the end of the day we are talking about 30+ trillion dollars and that’s not easy to just hide, and that means dollar is not as valuable, just hiding the drop in the value that’s it.

Bitcoin on the other hand is super valuable and will grow beyond ATH again, its only matter of time, when the time comes that will happen and you will want to hold some bitcoins when that time comes, or you will be upset.
1251  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing against 2024 on: November 18, 2022, 06:18:09 AM
I think it's wise to invest smartly against 2024, there is high tendency of hitting it big in crypto from next year to 2024. I advise you put reasonable capital on bitcoin and few funds in altcoin. Don't sleep on this one. It's a banga!! Let's make this money together.
Banga! It's a bullseye for us, which means it hits the target. Back to the topic. I don't know where you have gotten this information, but in the last few years, bitcoin prices have gone to the moon every year, mostly in the third quarter. Also, it would be best if you showed some charts or predictions based on what you've said to make people aware. Also, I am mostly funding in bitcoin and not other coins, as I am focusing on bitcoin this year and next year. I am hoping that next year will be more fruitful than this year to all of us.
"When" it goes up, it's usually the later stages of the year, it's usually after September and that’s a common thing. I am not saying that it would be this easy, maybe it’s not going to be this year, it's obvious that this year has been a bad year, but I wouldn't be shocked if we start to rise after September 2023, that would be a common thing and I would understand it.

That’s a personal thing to me as well, because I like to calculate when and how bitcoin will go up, and make my long term investment accordingly, which is why I might be a little biased about it, but I wouldn't be able to just focus on what we could do if it doesn't go up when it should be, so I just assume it will.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 17, 2022, 09:43:50 PM
It is now official

Schumacher and Haas will not continue.
Sad to see Mick go, and also Ricciardio as well, both of them deserved spots in the league if you ask me, they are both good enough to be placed somewhere, and unfortunately, they weren't. Sometimes life is so hard that you forget how smallest things could make such huge changes. Daniel could have gone to a better team as a second driver, like go to ferrari instead of sainz, and he could have been great there with such car, but went to Mclaren to a team that focused on Lando because he had the future, and Dany didn't get the attention he deserved, so he became worse and worse.

Mick for example could have been somewhere that was better for his first years, but his first ever f1 years were in the worst possible car, so he couldn't developer properly, but these are no excuses, if there are better options, teams will take it.
1253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Markets pumped quick after CZ said this, but don't FOMO yet! on: November 17, 2022, 05:33:51 AM
I'm a bit surprised, at first there was a lot of talk about Binance and CZ's role in the FTX exchange crisis, CZ's backtracking on the FTX deal was a merciful shot at FTX's death, now these statements by CZ come as a surprise to me, I hope His intentions are really good because there is some talk about CZ's dream of becoming an unrivaled Crypto Emperor.
November is the month of violent turmoil so hopefully things will end well and stability and prosperity will return to the crypto market.
Others say that it's a play that CZ design and then backing up in the last minute to really pus the price to another bottom at around $15k.

But there are pro CZ says that he doesn't want to inherit the big issues that FTX will have to face in the future so he didn't push with the plans.

In any case, for us the damage has been done, we survived, although the market is very volatile as of the moment that any bad news will trigger another huge withdrawal again. Hopefully, the market will settle down and bounce to at least $18k levels.
I think it’s quite clear that not wanting any part of something that is bankrupting and trying to save it could be a clear sign that it wasn't really a bad decision. I understand maybe it was all because of him and all that talk, but I really do not think so, it’s basically just something FTX did their own, all of that "our funds were stolen" is a lie as old as time, and even if we assume that it wasn't a lie, it’s the same result.

Either FTX took the funds into their own pockets, or they were hacked, both of that means they did not do what they should have done and that’s why they are the criminals. Which means there is no turning back from there.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is spamming mempool on: November 16, 2022, 08:50:21 PM
Even so, it's still rather expensive and discriminate towards user who have SegWit address.
Some people on Twitter are implying that maybe Binance is leaving behind the legacy addresses and moves everything to pure SegWit.
If it's so, it may be great, although the timing was awfully chosen.

By my calculations the mempool may clear up before Monday. Let's see if other dramas will surface until then.
If that is the case then I do agree that it would be a great deal. I understand that there are still a few people who rather use the legacy ones, but they need their hands to be pushed in order to either move to segwit, or just not be involved with the mainstream crypto anymore.

There are still some people who like to use monero and such privacy coins as well and want to hide their wealth too but that doesn't mean that they would be good at it neither. Which is why I believe that we shouldn't be really focusing on those people and look at what the general public uses. Segwit is what almost everyone is using and Binance should promote that a lot more.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is MiniFootball Token a lucrative investment? on: November 16, 2022, 07:21:21 PM
Mini Football Token appears to be a fun meme coin investment, designed to attract the football fans as well as Dogecoin investors. Since it has experienced a boom phase, will the upside potential for MiniFootball Token diminish? Or perhaps there might be harsh corrections for the price to pump? What do you say about this?  Huh
It was all fun and games until someone lost his money but seriously, how can you say that it is fun when you did not put any description about this coin or you can just include a link so that we are the ones that will check it out. And just because it has a football word in it and it is a meme coin, it will now attract football fans and those who invest in Dogecoin? No that's not easy as that.

But, it's true that the coin had boom already? So meaning this wasn't a new coin. I really thought it was new but you might be right that the potential for this coin have diminished already because many investors will leave after a coin pump and then switch to another new one again.
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF said: WHAT HAPPENED? on: November 16, 2022, 06:31:32 PM
although I've somehow hated CZ for always intervening with the market. But this one is an exception and it's good that he has exposed this kid and his cohorts.
If this haven't been talked about, I'm sure that many poor innocent depositors on FTX would have no idea freaking idea that their money is being played on.
CZ usually tries to do that constantly, sometimes he is right and does the right thing, sometimes he is wrong and mistakes things but at the end of the day his values are true to crypto and his aims are great for it as well.

He wants everything to stay the same and be good, which is a good reason to attack or at least warn and that is what he did here as well and it worked out very well for people who wanted to get out. He had absolutely no reason to keep FTX alive, why would he be the one that works so hard for it, and that means we are talking about his own money would have gone to save everyone, he didn't have that responsibility so he should not be considered a reason for this.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really the future of money? on: November 15, 2022, 05:38:52 AM
The value of Bitcoin is comparable to that of gold. Bitcoin cannot be used as legal tender. Even the legal currency of a country is to save the country's economy and does not want to rely on the US dollar for development.
Bitcoin is an emergency safe-haven solution. It cannot be said that Bitcoin is the future of money, it can only be said that Bitcoin will exist for a long time in the future.
You should learn this topic better as there's much misunderstanding in your words. First, Bitcoin is a legal tender in El Salvador and can be used so in some other jurisdictions. Next, talking about the future of the money: we all know which problems Bitcoin has, we know that these problems are solvable, then it is a possible situation that Bitcoin will become a worldwide popular currency in the future (not inevitably but possibly).
I do agree that bitcoin is already doing great, if we are talking about going side by side with fiat, then we are already at a great level. Doesn't mean that it’s used a lot, it's invested a lot but not used all that much. But, I am 99% sure that the more bull runs we have in the future, he more places will start to accept it.

On the other hand, we are getting more and more common stablecoins, which means there could be some business' out there which doesn't want to accept bitcoin because of the volatility that could end up with some stablecoin alternative and start taking in crypto. So, I think it’s not even about the future, it's already at a very good level of adoption even currently, and future is even brighter.
1258  Economy / Economics / Re: Is recession coming actually? on: November 14, 2022, 08:32:41 PM
Truly we are in a full blown global recession, many companies had started downsizing, it was twitter last week now facebook sacked 11,000 and many other organizations had sacked many of their employees blaming the slow growth of income as a result of global recession caused by Covid-19 unfortunately this is happening at a time when many countries are battling with Energy shortages, the consequences of the current recession will trigger a lot of hardships especially in third world countries with low GDP thus subjecting their citizens into abject poverty it's up to the government of respective countries to deploy every resources to tackle the recession.
This also means that with the downsizing of those companies, there will be a lot more unemployed people, and that means there will be a lot more people accepting less pay, and due to inflation, there are a lot of people who cannot afford many things, and that means there will be a lot less profits for the companies and goes in a cycle.

This means it will keep happening like this forever, because companies will not make any profit, then fire people, those people cannot buy things, and companies have less profits... it just goes on. To stop this, eventually rates will go down, and companies will take huge loans, show that as a loss and not pay taxes, and then they will end up with some good investments and hire people.
In order to break that cycle most of the time governments make the interest rates lower, and that will stop everything.

For now, if they do it right away, inflation will not be stopped and everything will be more expensive, and to be honest even if nobody does anything with time inflation will slow down, what went from 3 dollars to 5 dollars won't go to 7 dollars, it will stay either at 5 or max be 5.5 dollars, in nations with super high inflation that’s the same logic, you could live in a place where a thing worth 3 dollars went to 8 dollars, but it won't go to 15, it will go to 10-11, all of which means it will slow down. At that point they will slowly drop the interest rate, forcing companies to invest into more work and more profits and hiring more people.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 14, 2022, 02:25:42 PM
Argentina and Brazil qualified to this world cup without losing a single match. And the South American qualification is extremely tough. It's full of great teams.

That tells you that those 2 squads are at an extremely high level, and there's no chance that either of them will not go to the next round.

For sure Brazil will qualify in the group stage, because in the same way as he participated in all FIFA world cups until today, he also always qualified in the group stage, most of the time in first place.
The last time of Brazil failed to qualify first in the group stage was in the 1982 World Cup, in which Italy took first.

I believe that Brazil was crowned champion in the World Cup, but... in the most pessimistic scenario it should at least reach the semi-final.
I'm with you on this, the history of Brazil in previous world cups has proven them worthy to qualify for the knockout stage. As that is only speculation, Brazil truly deserves to not only reach the last 16 but also win the cup in Qatar. It's been a while since they've lifted that trophy, luck might be on their side this time as their present team is good. They are my first three to win the trophy, and the others are Germany and Spain, though I am having second thoughts about France.
I think they have the possibility and they have always been good, but not every single year. Let’s all remember the humiliating result they got against Germany not too long ago, and that means not every single year would be their favourite year.

This time around they got here with absolute dominance, so did Argentina as well, and even with the fact that Argentina just won their continental cup for the first time, which is a great deal for Messi, he was so happy. I am guessing both teams will be uncanny on how good they are this year and they will definitely end up with a high position, even if not the title and that means at least semi finals or something.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A new fan token to make your dreams come true! on: November 13, 2022, 06:56:21 PM
Begging money is not allowed in this forum mate , this is strictly prohibited  but I think you have a bright future ahead of you mate , just learn how to earn slowly , and not this kind of approach .
and also you will find no support inside forum from this , improve your skills and offer other service here , trust me it won't take a year before you can avail your computer and License .
I think hard work with crypto combined could definitely give a young person a great future. Instead of focusing on quick get rich schemes, he should focus on finding some talent. Developers for example can earn thousands and thousands of dollars every month, I know a developer who also runs a audit business for tokens as well and he makes about 25k dollars per month, that’s a huge business.

Of course it’s not just talent, it’s both talent but also he grew and didn't reach here in a day, he did his own marketing. So all in all, I would say that it’s not that easy to reach there, but if you are young then you could work hard and by the time you are 30 you would be a wealthy person.
