What's your ticket number?

 PM'd. Thanks dude.
2142  Bitcoin / Hardware / HashFast thread derailment part 3 on: December 24, 2013, 03:40:16 PM
... Bitcointalk being troll-city and ignored by most of the general public, unlike back when BFL started and Bitcointalk was somewhat reputable... so all the trolling, lying, FUD and general misinformation is largely irrelevant in todays world...

Still looking good to ship a closed-loop, water-cooled, PCIe-card-form-factor 600GH/s 28nm Bitcoin mining product in volume by end of March 2014 ?
2143  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.49/Ghash on: December 24, 2013, 08:49:31 AM
If I may ask, why order from the BA site, instead of MinerSource?

Because ordering directly from the manufacturers website, when given the option, seems the more optimal route ?

 *shrugs*
2144  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.49/Ghash on: December 24, 2013, 08:35:54 AM
Still trying to get a Dec.2nd order issue resolved. Dealing with sales@blackarrow requires... patience.

 *twiddles thumbs*
2145  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 24, 2013, 05:00:45 AM
network jumped from 7.5PH to 9.7PH without any  major new shipments.  How do you justify your statement?

Bitmain recently shipped several TH of 180GH/s Antminers.
2146  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: SOLD OUT [GROUP BUY 3] In-Stock Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S Ships on 12/20&12/21 on: December 23, 2013, 06:34:04 PM
majority of the buyer on ebay are scammers, i tried twice selling asicminer cards, they both got paypal claim and charged back the money after mining it for a month, paypal doesn't care and always side with the buyer.
selling on ebay is very risky, for the seller.

Even if you flag the purchase with No Refunds ?

I am contemplating unloading a number of ASICMiner Erupter USB's, Blades, and Avalon products on EBay to make room for more efficient gear, but these horror stories of EBay selling give me pause.

On a related note, eagerly anticipating the next group buy.
2147  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 23, 2013, 06:17:37 PM
Does the TOS specify that the Babyjets have to be functioning?

One would hope so. Otherwise, they might as well just ship out lumps of coal with Hashfast stickers on them to satisfy whatever contractual terms they have set forth, and then ship a working product to customers at some future date.
2148  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: December 23, 2013, 06:00:00 PM
I don't understand why everyone blames BFL.. From their site I can read lots of good stuff:
To name one they ar the only ASIC company ever delivered while others still writing ideas on napkins:
Quote
Since 2011, Butterfly Labs has been the pioneer and leader of the bitcoin mining hardware industry.  As we enter the 28nm era, we're the only competitor with a proven ASIC design in the field.  We have 45 employees and a matured production capacity & supply chain.   Our 28nm competitors have never delivered or even demonstrated an ASIC product of any kind.  Their manufacturing, supply chain and engineering are all back-of-the-napkin ideas.

False statement as demonstrated by KNC shipping their 28nm product, and now undergoing development of a 20nm product.

As for being the only ASIC company to deliver, my ASICminer, Bitfury, Avalon, and Bitmain products would disagree with you.
2149  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HASHFAST warranty just TEN DAYS after delivery on: December 23, 2013, 03:45:02 PM
10 days is a fairly standard DOA warranty.

Posts should generally not make people angry. But, I realized 'generally' does not equal 'specifically'.  Grin

Specifically, how is it that a certain, favorite person of ours continually gets away with his offenses and bad behavior ?

Oh that's right... They contribute significant sums of advertising money to these forums, with staff giving them effective carte-blanche on bad behavior...

2151  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 22, 2013, 09:39:06 PM
I should probably consider ordering one of these...
Are you the next cyperdoc? Reading your post made me nervous.

No. Just got suddenly and genuinely excited from recognizing an old friend I haven't seen in years in a photo. What a small world.

Didn't mean to blurt out his first name like that either after recognizing him in the photo. Damnit Sad

I have been following the HashFast drama as a spectator with no stake in it, and was excited to see someone I know verifying the existence of these.

My bad Sad My total bad Sad
2152  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 22, 2013, 09:22:23 PM
Visited HashFast office yesterday! They where quite busy so I tried to stay out of the way but I did get to see this hashing away! Smiley

HOLY SHIT ! (I'm an idiot for blurting out his first name) ?!

My lord ! It's been years man ! Had no idea you got into Bitcoin !!!

If Gateway says it's legit, then I guess I should seriously consider ordering one. Know him from WAAAAAAAY back.

Do you really wonder why Darrin Bicknell lies? I mean... It's his whole life. Without the lies he is just an empty shell of no one important.

How is any of this helping the people crying out for support?

BCP - what Christian 'Xian' Antkow refuses to admit is that his "problems" with BFL started and ended with himself.  He tries to blame it on me or someone (anyone!) other than himself, but if anyone actually takes the time to go back in my post history, there's a pretty clear pattern to them.

Clearly I am to blame for placing pre-orders with them in July 2012, and believing that they would ship product when they stated they would.

Clearly I am to blame for losing my cool after enduring delay after delay. Lie Mistake after lie mistake as documented on these forums.

Clearly I am to blame for your trolling of your customers; reacting poorly to your bait.

Clearly, I am to blame for your pattern of missteps and arrogance.

Clearly, you don't understand that if you weren't carrying on like such an incredible jerk on these forums, I would not have responded in kind.

Clearly I am to blame for trusting you to deliver when you said you would, Josh.

You brought out the worst in me over my business dealings with you and your company.

It's shameful and embarrassing in retrospect.

Thank you for forcing an unwanted refund on me, then refusing refunds to people who were begging for them later on.

Thank you Josh, for inspiring me to become a better person.

2156  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Any way to remotely power down and restart a BE Cube that stopped responding? on: December 22, 2013, 04:46:51 AM
You will need to purchase an IP network enabled powerstrip.
Such an example:

TIL stuff like this exists. TYVM for the link !
2157  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 22, 2013, 04:06:21 AM
We're not big on pre.orders either, but its the way of the world for now.

 Wrong.

It's the way of YOUR world.
2158  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Axonlabs - new 3TH miner for 10k on: December 21, 2013, 08:32:37 PM
Then you missed out on awesome quotes like:
"We are using processors designed and normally used for supercomputers which are not produced in large quantities"
"102 GB/s NOC Bisection Bandwidth"
"Vegetable-based oils can also be used providing the oil is free of debris and has no moisture content"
"Can base units be networked together as one? Theatrically, yes. Practically, no. The computing network of the blades require extreme bandwidth to exchange data between the cores making it unpractical to daisy-chain base units together.".

 Man, you ain't kiddin' !

2159  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.49/Ghash on: December 21, 2013, 07:54:09 PM
Batch 1 is still being filled. Those who ordered when the date said Feb 24th 2014 will have their orders shipped starting on Feb 24th 2014. Those who order when the date says March 10th 2014 will have their orders shipped starting March 10th 2014.

I placed on order on Dec 2nd (229x) that I was not able to submit payment for within 24 hours, and have been waiting on two responses now to sales@blackarrowsoftware.com inquiring about how to best resolve the status of this order.

Can you offer any insight as to when sales might catch up with their email backlog ?

 Thank you.
2160  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How Trolls Harrass Bitcoin Miner Manufacturers. on: December 21, 2013, 07:43:09 PM
If you look through threads from other manufacturers, you'll notice a similar pattern.  There's practically a recipe at this point, for discrediting a manufacturer if they don't submit to unreasonable demands and requests for preferential treatment.
So, I don't blame them for stepping back, and closing off communication.  When all this settles down in the next couple weeks, we'll see if customers receive their miners.  Until then, there's really nothing left to say.

Effective, respectful, and honest communication from manufacturers can mitigate many of the problems you speak of.

Consider that this pattern you are seeing may be similar to leukocytes responding to an infection.

Add the fact that we are constantly weeding out and dealing with the fallout of scams, it can lead to tempers flaring.
