2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Old good airdrops on: October 22, 2019, 01:16:31 PM
But why don't you find those beautiful airdrops once, whose only request was to communicate an address to receive the gift?  Cry

It was the time crypto were on a bubble. People would buy anything and everything called cryptocoin without a second thought. People could just create a token, distribute it freely to people and list them on exchange, people would still buy it with an increasing price. That was the reason why airdrop holders got good money for their holdings and people created new coins like crazy. But things has changed now, its difficult to sell even the ICO of a well planned project. Even if someone provide free tokens, they'll never have any value.
2162  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Anyone Earned Bitcoin On Moon Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2019, 01:54:55 AM
They are the largest paying faucet at the moment. They have three high paying bitcoin faucets, namely moonbitcoin, bonusbitcoin and bitfun.
Moonbitcoin and bitfun are progressive faucet while bonusbitcoin has a 15 minute timer. I have been paid from them twice in the past.
Though I don't faucet anymore, many of my friends are using them as the prime source of faucet income.
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO projects with very good rating on: October 21, 2019, 04:28:28 PM
When i search i found ICO projects with very good rating, this rating posted buy ICO rating websites, how this rating works, websites did not mention about the factors use to rate this projects.

Some of them do mention the factors considered during the rating but still most of them are biased ones.
Almost all of the ICO rating sites are found to be taking money from projects to give them a higher rating regardless of their nature and status.
ICO rating sites has created more confusion than solutions for the ever confusing ICO markets.
2164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to avoid fraudulent projects? on: October 21, 2019, 04:10:33 PM
I think there is still a way to overcome the problem of scamers in this crypto room (but I'm not saying to eliminate it completely). . This might not have a big effect but at least it can reduce some of the fraud projects that exist in this industry. . like avoiding and not promoting suspicious projects repeatedly. .
I have always observed that many of them and even have high ratings but still support suspicious projects, especially participants (social media).
maybe this is one reason why many fraud projects are increasingly rampant, because someone always gives hope to them and makes someone trapped in it.

so what do you think?
I draw the conclusion above based on what I saw there.

It's really difficult to be sure about any projects as scammer too have became more and more advance and they present themselves better than most of the legit projects.
The first thing to observe if you want to lower your risk of getting scammed is the team members and verifying they are really involved in the project and has the expertise as advertised. I don't mean to say all projects with anonymous teams are scams but 90% of them are.
2165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO not forced you to hold their token on: October 21, 2019, 12:29:52 PM
I know binance is the most popular exchange, but binance and other exchanges such as okex, huobi, ...and  others forced you to hold their token to participate in IEO, so i list exchanges do not forced you to buy token.
What you think about this exchanges, do you suggest it?
If you do not suggest it, or think it is not good let me know the reason?

lattoken
probit
lbank
p2pb2b
coineal
vindax
exmarket
Finexbox
Sistemkoin

This what i know, you also can add exchange not forced you to buy token not listed here.
Some of this exchanges i use it, and some of it i did not.

IEO on popular exchanges are considered to be a premium offering. The last one month of BNB holding sets the limit of coins you can buy on binance IEO while you need to buy the IEO with KCS on Kucoin. Some exchanges like Probit and Coinex provides bonus tokens/discounts on buying with their exchange tokens. And it's a good strategy to develop the exchange token along with the success of IEO.
I don't think the other IEO offerings are useless but in most cases they (such exchange) don't have enough volume and credibility to implement such (token holding) rule.
2166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, why do some people just get it, others really don't? on: October 21, 2019, 12:08:39 PM
It also depends on the individual interest of the people. Some people really don't care about learning new things. In my experience the curious people are more friendly towards the blockchain technology.  I have computer engineer friends that know nothing about bitcoin except it's name and friends in other professions like lawyers who are technically sound about blockchain.
And it's about legality for some, people sometimes would not want to do what is defined as illegal in their country.
2167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you always invest in top ranked coins? on: October 21, 2019, 01:44:41 AM
Hi Everyone,

As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.

Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?

I have invested in all sorts of coins. And with my experience, I can say that investing in top ranked coins are safer. Crypto market has been dynamic and holding top ranked popular coins would yield you profit some day. They won't  generally decrease from their current price to worthlessness as most of other new coins go through.
It's harder for whales to move the overall price and there are no artificial pumps and dumps.
2168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 20, 2019, 04:29:36 PM
Have you ever thought of donating the gambling profits to a charitable cause ?  Sometime people won a big lottery or very high amount of money from betting & gambling games.  Do you ever thought of being generous and helping the poor with this money ?

I have but I never had a gambling profit. Not one while calculating my gambling expenses. The greatness of human lies in giving.
Though not won on gambling, I have a day job as well as attend bounties in the forum. I have a clear stats of my earning and has decided to donate 1% of my total earning yearly to some good cause.
2169  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 9/11 terror attacks on: October 20, 2019, 04:23:42 PM
Last night i saw a lot of documentations about 9/11. I want to know what the public opinion is about the attacks.

Surely there were many pre-alarms ignored by the authorities, mistakes from their side that cost a lot but I don't think there are any other involvement of the US as claimed by some of the conspirator. There were many other ways to create an enemy and many other ways to boost the arms industry without killing their own citizen. I don't see US benefiting much from the incident.

2171  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and Remittences on: October 20, 2019, 02:58:47 AM
Why is the Libra dream dead? (Which I hope it is.)

Maybe because it's backers are withdrawing from the project and Facebook's prime market US doesn't like Libra's concept.
For the use of remittance, bitcoin could still be a good option. Though it's fee seems large for small transactions, it's much better than swift fees or western union fees for sending remittance. There are other options like lightning network or the BEP2 token from binance but it would depend on the parties involved more than the choice of currency.
2172  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bad experience with exchanges on: October 20, 2019, 02:49:07 AM
Stick to the popular exchanges. I've sometimes ventured for less popular exchanges to exchange my less popular coins and though I was not scammed, I had an unpleasant experience dealing with them.
Plan what are you doing with the coins beforehand. If you intend to exchange one coin to other and store in your wallet, use instant exchanges like shapeshift and fixedfloat. Traditional exchanges would cost you more as they have withdrawal fees.
2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Litecoin dips really low in price, I am buying a LOT! on: October 20, 2019, 02:41:31 AM
I was able to sell my LTC those days since I regretted not selling or cashing out some of my alts and BTC in 2017 ATH. I already learned my lesson on setting realistic amount only. But LTC is no doubt a good investment that can wait anytime since it's price never falls too low, I'll try to buy LTC one of this days again.

If you chose a good coin on their low time, you'll always make a profit if you have patience to hold it. So, it would be a good idea to keep at least 5 different popular and trusted coins and buy them on their lower price while sell on higher. Halving generally increases the price of a mineable coin as it would mean decrease in amount of coin issued in the same interval of time.
2174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can people use facebook libra coin? on: October 20, 2019, 01:04:22 AM
I want to know about the new coin from the facebook called libra and how will people use libra, and when will libra be available? to use. did you think that libra will overtake bitcoin and other crypto coins and become the number 1 coin in the crypto market?

What you think and share info about libra here.

You can't use Libra as of now. Libra is still in development and it's still trying to convince the authorities that it's not a threat to the economy. They need to this this as they want Libra to be a legal bill in most of the market it supports. Anyone claiming to be selling Libra are scams, there are many scams in different forms. You need to be cautious not to fall for them.
2175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: stick to the same option or switch to another option? on: October 19, 2019, 04:22:08 PM
Is crypto included in the ponzi scheme to get rich quickly?
in most cases I have observed why people rush to get short profits, this is not a good way. I mean the decisions they make are not based on common sense.

This is not what you think, if you think that crypto can become rich overnight, you don't need to bother avoiding investment risks. You only need to focus on crypto investments that you think can make you rich.

but unfortunately the market says it's different, there is no way to get quick profits & all you have to do is how you can survive in this market. between a fixed choice with the same option or switch with another option.

Crypto being a new market is highly volatile and people have used it to make good profits which they would not have made in any other investments. There are many people who lives off the profit from daily fluctuation of the prices of crypto.
But it doesn't mean if someone is profiting from crypto, you can just jump in and make money. Earning profit through crypto is not a piece of cake, you need total dedication towards it and study every of minute events to predict the near and far future.
2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 19, 2019, 04:02:12 PM
Anyone watching the Tottenham  v Watford match, i was shocked to see Watford scoring a goal in the opening minutes of the match as i never thought they will be able to score in this match, i was expecting Tottenham will have an easy night, lets see how the second half goes.

The odd for Tottenham is now 3.40 what do you think about now?
My initial bet was Watford to score less than 1.5 goals but now i have to go for Tottenham or draw  Undecided.

EDIT:
Glad to see that everyone is shocked as mine  Grin.
Will watford get its first win of the season? Shocked
Only 15 minutes left to see if they can pull out a win at london stadium. Grin
I think the odds were very epic on the prematch for this to happen.

No win today for Watford. Though that was an interesting competition Spurs was the better team overall. And they deserved that last moment goal. They played well but failed to convert the effort into goals. Hope they'd improve it on the upcoming matches.
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alipay slams Binance with Crypto Ban on: October 19, 2019, 03:53:30 PM
This is not a great move by Binance. They should ask their CEO to be more professional. How could a top exchange do like that? if it was a marketing stunt then it was a poor choice. it's like doing something awful to get in media. I don't recommend it at all. Binance behavior this year was very untrustworthy. (Scrolling back the block) Yet they come up with another false hope. This may help them get more attention from Chinese people but would anyone with real money (Mean serious amount of cash) will be able to trust an exchange in which CEO tweets false news? In my opinion, Alipay did the right thing and Binance was somewhat in bad situation after getting slapped like that publicly. It's like Justin sun from ton making an announcement without having anything in the back. I think it's time for Binance to ask their CEO to be more professional otherwise it would hurt the exchange in the long run. They should come up with new marketing ideas instead of this.

Surely that was a wrong move from CZ. Alipay and Wechat are already being used for P2P crypto trading in China and the binance's involvement would further make it difficult as the platforms would start seriously looking into suspicious transactions and make it more difficult to trade P2P with alipay and wechat.
2178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: not a rule! but it's about your common sense to avoid scam projects on: October 19, 2019, 12:41:44 PM
Regulasi aren't a golden bullet against scammers. As all those things become more obvious to the general public, scammers evolve to mimic decent projects with almost impeccable efficiency. Still, the most reasonable rule of investment isn't about ICOs or IPOs, it's just about your common sense. I mean no matter what, never spend more money than you can afford to lose.

No one can be right for all the time. However promising a single project may seem, it is wise not to invest all your money on a single project. Diversification is a key to success.
You need to look at what the project aims to achieve and do you really think they'll be have a profit from that. Mining asteroids seems promising but is not still viable for any startup.
2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ton has big problems? on: October 19, 2019, 04:31:00 AM
SEC did not satisfy the conditions proposed by Telegram to postpone the launch of the TON blockchain platform and the suspension of operations with the Gram digital currency for 5 months.

The SEC insists on a restraining order for the rest of the proceedings.

The first hearing will be held on October 24.

What will happen next?

SEC have restrained most of the ICOs and TON is no surprise. But SEC's restrain has not stopped people and even the US citizens from investing on such project. Some do make it difficult implementing KYC but the US citizen can in one way or other be involved in. SEC can't stop P2P deals and tradings.
2180  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why is Turkey attacking the Kurds? Potential WW3? on: October 19, 2019, 04:27:44 AM
Syrians. The shortest answer is Syrians. Since 2016 more than 4.5 million Syrians asked for asylum and came to Turkey. Now, it's been many years since that time but Syrians are still living in Southern Turkey and a a huge burden both economically and logistics. The Syrians are refusing to go back to their lands due to conflict. Therefore Turkey decided to create a buffer zone aka safe zone in Northern Syria so that Syrians can go back to their homes, if they refuse Turkey can just force them and no one will bat an eye, in the end they are going to their own country where it is safe.

Another thing is that it is mostly known that YPG (now renamed to SDF) are the Syrian part of a globally recognised terror organisation PKK. Turkey, using the opportunity Syrians provided are attacking SDF to eliminate SDF/PKK that have been pestering Turkey by killing civilians, teachers, police officers, soldiers in the Southern/Eastern Turkey.

Is it about oil? No. If you have checked the borders since the beginning of the whole ordeal, you will see that most of the oil derricks are located in the Southern Syria, far far away where Turkey wants to create as a buffer zone. Funny thing, most of the oil derricks are located in SDF's zone. Who were US allies and were provided arms, training, vehicles by the US. How do you think these "rebels" actually paid back US?

I'd not just blame the syrians. Kurds just doesn't live only in Syria. There's a significant population in the Turkey and Iraq.
PKK is the one vying for independence and YPG/SDF is a name used by different groups that also includes the ones affiliated to PKK.
With the war with ISS, YPG with the support of US army got a significant hold in the Syrian territory. US knew they were helping PKK while helping YPG. So, they withdrew the moment they got to open up for Turkey assault. It's all planned. No WW3 is happening here.
