1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Sushi Dump CZ reply with Highly risk especially on Defi project ?? Agree ? on: September 07, 2020, 02:05:07 PM
It's the right thing to tell by CZ at the moment. Binance is an exchange which faciliates trading between sellers and buyers, it can guarantee anyone about the value or future of a coin. They can't always research about the project and list only those who they finds have a potential. With so much of new projects and if they don't list them, users would move on to exchanges that does. I don't think it would be necessary to blame binance for such discrete incident.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you need a coin that does not have negative volatility? on: September 07, 2020, 08:30:03 AM
How would be a volatility be negative? If you mean very low volatility, for a such to coin exist, it should be pegged to an index of a lot of stable assets and currency. A coin that derives it's value from say a lot of fiat and commodities could be less volatile. The volatility also depends on what you compare it with. For anything with a supply and demand, there would be volatility.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Hope for Libra? on: September 06, 2020, 02:27:42 PM
Facebook wanted to get all the commission that were going trough using payment processor while spending on Facebook. It needed to do some different but the partner of Facebook, the US government was not happy with the Facebook's plan. Facebook's Libra project could not project a detailed info of how the amount user and location could be tracked for US government, so it fell from grace. That's why Libra is dead now.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance in trouble over listing scam defi token on: September 06, 2020, 08:38:29 AM
What we forget is binance is just another exchange. They needs to keep on new cons so that there would be users coming to it, the volume coming to it. They might look over which coin to add next but it doesn't mean the one they chooses would always be a legit project. The twit about the founder filling form is a tip from CZ (personally) to increase the chances of getting listed on Binance. It doesn't mean the founder actually provided every details of himself/herself or the person that filled the form is actual founder.
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you sure crypto is the future currency? on: September 05, 2020, 02:40:50 PM
I completely agree that crypto will be the currency of the future. Cryptocurrencies are already used all over the world and constantly more and more countries begin to legalize cryptocurrencies and recognize them as official currencies, this is just a matter of time when the whole world will already fully begin to use cryptocurrencies with its full potential.

It may be called something else and it might be something that don't still exist but the future is certainly of blockchain based currency. Not only are they trustable, they are more transparent and efficient to circulate and maintain. Many nations have already jumped into blockchain based currency for both digitization of fiat and introduction of entirely new finance system.
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Trading Platform! on: September 05, 2020, 10:56:16 AM
I've been using Binance for a long time. And for some of my trade, I've moved to Pionex. Pionex is a new exchange and I'm not sure how trustable it is but they are going strong and they provide free bots to trade your crypto 24/7. And the transaction fees for the bot is just 0.05% which is half of what binance takes. They also offer margin and leveraged trading on some of the pairs.
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yearn.Finance (YFI) hits $28k on: September 04, 2020, 03:03:23 PM
I was not aware of the YFI token and my co-staff called me with excitement saying "do you know there's a cryptocoin that's even the father of bitcoin?" and I said I don't think so as bitcoin was the oldest usable cryptocoin in mind. Than he said the coin is higher in price than bitcoin. I not being aware of it called it to be some kind of pump and dump coin or a scam but he let me know that it's also been listed on Binance and Okex. It's a coin with low 30K supply and with the Defi craze, it went breaking every records.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to optimally store USDC (usd coin) on: September 03, 2020, 10:45:38 AM
? Forgive the question, but I don't know if I should keep it as normal as other tokens with etherwallet like metamask or have t download wallet from official site (like atomicwallet) ? Why do I need a wallet to create an additional source of risk ? Or maybe I have lower fees then ?

I don't think anyone should hold USDC if they are not going to do anything with them. But if you insist on just holding them for any reason, you can get any wallet that supports ethereum tokens. If you just want to hold as a value and get an interest, youhodler, Celsius and NEXO are a good option. If you want to hold them for trading, putting them on a trusted exchange and enabling 2FA would be a safe option.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid big commissions to pay ethereum ? on: September 03, 2020, 05:47:37 AM
If you are not in a hurry choose a low commission. Just look for a safe low fees and put the fees manually. You can easily save about 75% of fees if you set it manually and are ready to wait some hours. Use DEX if you are exchanging it to an ERC20 token. The deposit and withdrawal fees would be cheaper that way. Avoid transecting ethereum if you are concerned about the fees. But still ethereum fees are not as high as that of bitcoin.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto community getting lost again? on: September 02, 2020, 08:29:02 AM
Where there's is larger attention, scammers and ponzi projects just flocks in. Defi is certainly not a new and world changing technology. The current hype over defi and it's tokens are a recipe for another disaster. Defi are meant to be an efficient low cost low profit generating platform thats efficient and friendly to users. They won't be bringing in insane amount of profit as the total users of Defi and cryptos are still insignificant. I'd recommend anyone to just ignore the current price movements on Defi coins and wait till the market settles for some clear winners.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum overpower Bitcoin in the future? Which side are you on? on: September 01, 2020, 03:28:20 PM
Well the current price pull certainly makes it look ethereum is going to moon. But it would be a long time for bitcoin to be dethroned and it would take Ethereum even longer to beat bitcoin. As ethereum is a utility token, it needs to keep its transaction fees and price in check but they can compensate that by beating bitcoin on total market value with a large volume. Ethereum's supply is already 12 times that of bitcoin and with a steady increase in price and supply, they could dethrone bitcoin on the total marketap but it would be nearly impossible for any new tokens to target the bitcoins price.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Market Cap increased 1.64% and DeFi locked value grown 15.06% - Why? on: August 31, 2020, 08:37:21 AM
DeFi hyped the market and their price is extremely overvalued. DeFi projects dominated capital flow and the market recent weeks but it won't last too long.

I don't know my advise is good for you but if you run or promote a service, there are boards for service announcements:
Service Announcements
Service Announcements (Altcoins)

Why don't you think it wion't last long?

I guess this is a discussion thread.

He may mean that the current price trend of Defi tokens won't last as the profit that a Defi makes on transaction are low and for good profit they need to increase the volume which is hard to achieve for every defi out there. Defi on the other hand are here to stay and the more coin they freezes, the demand for the coins they are using would keep increasing while their supply keeps on decreasing. Which would lead to the boost of price of those coins.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This beach resort is accepting Ethereum!!! on: August 30, 2020, 09:12:54 AM
Holy smokes! Look at this guys!

Source: https://decrypt.co/?p=38262

Imagine if COVID-19 pandemic is no more and having travel plans to South Korea, we could visit this beach and pay Ethereum for entrance fee, etc. I just wish that this is not going to be the only beach resort to adopt Ethereum for payments.

Here in the Philippines, there are so many beaches and hidden paradise here. I just hope that one day these beaches around the world are going to adopt Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.

South Korea is a bit expensive and maybe colder. Philippines have one of the best and widest range of food and beaches in the Pacific.  I have always imagined of visiting beaches in Philippines. But money is always a hassle when you travel. Card don't always works and it's difficult to carry all in cash. If the South-East Asian tourist hub like Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines widely used crypto as a payment method, I bet the arrivals would double. We've seen many people doing crypto vlog on Bangkok but it's still difficult to live with crypto in many other regions.
1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Missing the current DEFI pump on: August 30, 2020, 07:16:49 AM
it is obvious that over 80% of all authentic defi projects are in profits and any investors that have invested in this sector is already in profit. it is obvious that it is also behind the current bull market. a proper observation in the market shows that the crypto trading aspect has been divided. between bitcoin, normal altcoins and defi token which are altcoins too. i think the defi era has come to stay and will dominate for along period just like how traditional banking has evolved and change how money is been utilized.
I see the Defi sector as the Savior and promoter of crypto which will lead to the massive adoption which we all yearn for.

You are right to say that Defi are actually going to challenge traditional banking and is here to stay. They have a huge potential but still we are far from any perfect product.
Not every of current Defi are going to be success. A few of them would be, but with a competitive and changing market, they won't be as profitable as most people who are blindly buying their tokens think it would. And the current price of Defi tokens are too high to sustain. They would go through a correction.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers in a top exchanges telegram groups on: August 29, 2020, 02:41:10 PM
I had a similar experience. I had lost $200 worth of my coins while transacting between a wallet and an exchange. I went through both of the support telegram group and a moderator looking account from the exchange telegram support group contacted me in private message and asked for detailed info. I gave him everything I had and he stayed in contact for two days asking for various info. At last he convinced me to send a fee of $27 on an specific account. I was nearly convinced and sent him the amount but again thought why the exact wallet address. So I sent the screenshot to another moderator and only than realized that it was actually a imposter.
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2021 be the year of Litecoin? on: August 29, 2020, 09:24:24 AM
I don't think litecoin would have any future. They have slowly slipped out of the spotlight and are being forgotten by everyone. They once were quite popular as an alternative coin to transfer bitcoin between exchanges but there are much better options and stable coins now. They are not anymore the favorite pair for grid trading as they are just decreasing in comparison to bitcoin. With it's lead developer out from the project, it's development is nearly stagnant and miners too seem to be looking for alternatives.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Asset Insurance on: August 28, 2020, 02:57:35 PM
Now there's been some update on USA for crypto related insurance regulations and Bitgo one of the prominent insurance company going for a license to facilitate more traditional investment firm that want's to buy and hold some crypto. With implementation of blockchain, many of these traditional financial solution would be more efficient and more effective which would soon replace the traditional services.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia’s Sberbank and S7 Airlines to sell flight tickets for tokens on: August 28, 2020, 05:37:57 AM
I am skeptical of such news when a Bank tries to launch a blockchain project, especially a state Bank, but good luck to them.

This is probably a centralized system, they are not into crypto I guess although the blockchain idea came from crypto. It's good to see that they are making used of the blockchain technology, although it does not have direct positive effect to the crypto market but in the long run I believe it will have.

It's a banking blockchain, so expect full regulation from the central bank, what I liked in this proposal is that everything will be transparent and transactions would be faster with the blockchain.

I'm just wondering what smart contract they'll use.

It's a private tokenization for easing the ticketing system. It's for transparency and lack of ambiguity than decentralizations.
They want blockchain to make their system free from human error or mal-intentions. This would certainly be easier to customers as well as they could book without any issue and be confident on what to expect. It probably is just like any other membership card but one who's data runs on blockchain.
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does bounty still kind of worth on 2020? on: August 28, 2020, 12:45:42 AM
Worth or not, sometimes depends on how you analyze the bounties and choose the right ones. I am following some discussions on telegram channels and I see there are still many people who can earn money from bounties. Even we have many shit crypto projects, but some of them should be real projects that can provide bounties offering some money. For example: Cartesi, Ferrum, Ludena, ARCS, or IQ cash. These projects really give bounty hunters some money.

I did participated in Ludena bounty and they paid well. Ludena was a ETH paid campaign and es-crowed by the bounty mangers so users were certain of getting the rewards.
There are bitcoin paid signature campaign but most of them pays much lower. Joining and getting reward of ICO/IEO campaign is more of a luck as most of them don't pay or the payment are much lower than the effort while a small number of bounties pays well.
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto passive income - a bubble? on: August 26, 2020, 09:03:31 AM
I see that more and more investors are interested in a passive income that comes from cryptocurrencies. But, I am a little bit afraid that all these concepts: staking, crypto lending, and all form of income that is generated from nothing will end up sooner or later. When you compare mining, you have to buy mining rigs at first, then you need to pay electricity, so you spent a lot of money to mine a Bitcoin and that makes it valuable. What about staking? What you sacrifice to receive new coins?

Most of the so called cloud mining are just scams. Staking coins too won't be able to promise the same price for the investors as it really depends on how useful the coin is or how much they can manipulate it and how long.
For anyone to give us a profit, they need to generate more profit from our money. Trading is a good way of making money that's why exchanges can provide us with interest, similar are the case with legit lending platforms and Defis.
