1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC's Early Investors POLL on: October 09, 2020, 03:42:33 PM
The one that believed in bitcoin the earliest and the ones that were involved in securing the blockchain from the start are now rewarded for their effort.
I think most of them would have never imagined the coin the are holding is going to reach 19K USD an unit someday.
I knew bitcoin from late 2012 but could not hold a single coin when the bitcoin went on a bull. There are many other unfortunate like me.
But I don't lament for what's gone. If Bitcoin can reach 19K in 2017, I still believe it would reach higher than that in future.
So, I'm still collecting and holding bitcoin (along with other cryptos) as I believe I'd be rewarded if I remain patient and believe in it.

https://sport.blic.rs/tenis/novak-djokovic-najnovije-vesti-otkazao-trening-polufinale-rolan-garosa/txhf3k9

could be sensational, but Djokovic has called-off this training practice yesterday, personally do not think that he will cancel the match in any case, but there was no press-conference and training yesterday

That is enough news for me to place small bet on Tsitsi on one of the bookies that grade forfeit as a regular bet. Always worth a shot. Wbet7 for instance considered match as regular if 1 game has been played. Have to check if that is still true. Some other bookies like Nitrogen grade it as regular if one set has been played. And some void the bet even if somebody forfeits two points from the end of the match.

I wasn't really able to find more sources to confirm this, but I also placed a (handicap) on Tsitsipas.

On the women side, I expect Kenin to win but Swiatek was impressive this French Open and! What is a bit surprising to me, is that the bookies see Swiatek as the favorite (@1.55) ?!

Swiatek is really on fire. She comfortably defeated number 2, Simona Halep, Kenin on the other hand had just 1 straight set win out of last 4 matches.

The match between Djokovic and Tsitsipas is about to start and there are no any official news about calling off by Djokovic. This could be a competitive match if Djokovic comes all fine in the court but Djokovic seems to be struggling with his fitness and it would be difficult for him.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 09, 2020, 12:30:02 PM
The club want to show how jerk are they to the world.
And i think barcelona successfully make it happened, everybody around the world now feel sorry to messi and feel hatred to barcelona well well well.
The best revenge is by moving to rival , not real madrid it is impossible but atletico madrid to join his best friend luis suarez. We will see this to come.
It's just that we will never see Messi betray Barcelona, which has made his name in the world. I don't think he will leave and become an enemy for Barcelona for another club. If that happens, I can't imagine what his emotional situation on the pitch would be against Barcelona.

The same was once said about Ronaldo, who "would never betray Real", because he was club captain!
Although personally I also think that Messi will not leave!
However, in modern football everything is solved by huge amounts of money!

There is nothing as betrayal on changing teams in club football. Club football is a commercial platform where transfers are regulated.
Ronaldo is a Portuguese, he was just an employee of Real Madrid. He went to another club legally for his own benefit.
Messi too don't necessary be involved with Barcelona forever, tough he joined the team in his early age, it was not Barcelona that picked him up and made his life. He was already a promising player before he decided to give a trail for Barcelona.
Messi is a much humble player and he didn't wanted any negative image for himself and the club he served. He wanted to leave the club but decided not to fight Barcelona in court.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 08, 2020, 09:28:05 AM
I agree with you. Atletico will be far ahead in the fight to win the trophy this season. The team is good and they’ve gotten stronger by getting Suarez. Suarez is now in form. He played very well in Barcelona. I hope he played well in Atletico Madrid too.

Last season Barcelona had not only Suarez but also Griezmann and of course Messi.
Yet, they didn't manage to fight for the trophy they had a really bad season and the worst was the disqualification from the Champions League.
Suarez is not enough for Atletico if they want to win the La Liga. They have to make expensive purchases in the defensive line as well.

Last season, the Barcelona team had a lot of problems. Such as their coach was not successful. The coach did not have a good relationship with the players. Messi's trouble with the club president. These internal quarrels of the team affected matches. Moreover, the defense of Barcelona was not good.
Yeah, you’re right. Suarez is not much enough for Atletico if they want to win La Liga. It is never possible for a team to win a title without the contribution of everyone.

Indeed there were many internal problems but if you are a big club you should overcome them.
The most serious problem in Barcelona was the one with the coach - we saw in the past similar situations with players being disrespectful to coaches (such as the situation with Sarri and Chelsea) but big clubs have boards that can treat those situations successfully.

There are several accusations of financial mis-management at Barcelona. They have signed many players but are still relying on the older team. And most of them complaining about not getting paid. And all the Catalonian drama. There is clearly visible fracture on the team regarding locals and rest of Spain. And it was the same in it's history and is not going anywhere soon.
With Messi in team, they are still a balanced team but they need to plan it right to defeat their competitor Real Madrid.
1185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The digital Yuan is almost a fact on: October 06, 2020, 02:53:29 PM
You can say what you like about Communist China but they have been more innovative than all other western countries so far. Now China is almost adopting the Digital Yuan and how far are we in the west with these developments?

Read more: https://www.worldcoinindex.com/news/china-central-bank-digital-currency-digital-yuan-already-conducted-pilot-transactions-worth-1-1-billion-yuan

And there are reports that the CCP is working on a nation wide retinal identity system where all the money resides in blockchain and when you buy a product or service, you can just show them an eye and the transaction would be done. No need to carry purse, cards or mobile. No hassle of passwords and OTPs. Go anywhere and the your money would be with you until you die. Your retinal identity would be linked to the your value. All of your medical and criminal data too would be on blockchain and the prices to goods and service would depend on how good your social credit score are. Not a use of blockchain we wanted but the one we are really getting.
1186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption - Climate Change - Internet Access on: October 06, 2020, 02:09:46 PM
We need a global network to validate the occurrence of transaction between nodes of bitcoin. There is no other networks as comparable to internet. If we in future has a much more decentralized and free form of data transmission, like a free global radio frequency, bitcoin can with collective decision move to it. Unless that happens, internet is a solid tool for verifying the transactions.
Things like SMS transaction are being done but that completely relies on third party holding your coins, which itself is not a great idea.
The only way of moving coins offline is exchanging private keys without keeping a copy, which is practically impossible.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally!! McAfee is arrested in Spain and now facing extradition on: October 06, 2020, 01:43:37 PM

I understand but, it does feel good to finally see him pay for his actions. I lost a good chunk of money with his endorsed projects first with SETHER, and then with another project don't even remember the name lol.

I think the second could be GHOST or you mean ESH. He dumped his hodling and made the coin crash and people who bought because of him lost hugely. But ghost is coming back, around $0.40.

Anyway, I think that his arrest won't be good for his person and not that it will affect cryptocurrency at large.

I think it's mostly likely for not paying the US government rather than endorsing any scams. Spain's judiciary has been extra favorable for financially accused billionaires for quite a time. But the real deal would be how largely the US goes after the extradition and how useful the spanish court would they find the money stack of McAfee. Though McAfee is a controversial person, he's one of the well know person in tech world who is all into crypto.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis: French Open 2020 on: October 06, 2020, 01:04:23 PM
the Final will probably Nadal vs. Djokovic.

It does look that way. The men's draw is a lot more predictable than the women's has been!

Thiem doesn't look like he'll reach the final again, because Nadal stands in his way.
Nadal looks invincible, but so does Djokovic... and something has to give. I would still bet on Nadal, just because it's the French. If it was anywhere else, or just not on clay, then Djokovic would be the clear favourite.

Nadal in invincible and I don't think anyone would stand in is way. No one even came close to duex him let alone win a set against. The french open has for some years revolving around Nadal, Thiem and Djokovic. As Thiem too had an impressive performance, loosing a set only against Gatson, he could be a larger challenge to Nadal than Djokovic. But Nadal have an much impressive run and looks undefetable on clay. No chance for Djokovic as well, Theim could have easily beaten Djokovic if they had met on semis.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question: Is there any websites where I can gamble crypto under 18? on: October 06, 2020, 01:07:49 AM
An age limit for gambling is set by the individual countries, most of them at 18 while some forms of gambling on some countries are available at lower age.
As we see Crypto based gambling site has not implemented any hardline mesure restricting low age visitors except asking you to confirm you are above 18.
The reason for the age limit is simple as kids can't think for themselves and they don't earn money themselves. Getting addicted to gambling at early age could ruin their time of learning and experimenting with other things. That's an opinion. But again 18 is not a magic number. There's no study that suggest people below 18 have a completely different mindset than ones above. They are basically warning that you should not use others money, loan money to gamble. You should not gamble away money that were intended to be for other task. If you are sure about you mental and financial decisions, you should be able to gamble. Most of the crypto based gambling and blockchain based gambling won't ask for KYC unless for money laundering accusations.
1190  Economy / Economics / Re: Australia to Spend $575M on Tech Including Blockchain to Boost Pandemic Recovery on: October 05, 2020, 04:44:29 PM
IMO, If the Prime Minister was the one who initiated it, then there's a very high possibility that Cryptocurrency will then be accepted by the world.
Australia already earned the respect of everyone. Their initiation will then be considered.  This ain't just a recovery plan. It's a disruption, and I will not be more than agree with the decision of Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

However, we know that each country now had combat the coronavirus not keep spreading, they do anything even they spent a big amount of money just to stop this pandemic.

Internet based system with little or no human interaction are on rise with the need on social distancing and crypto and blockchain are surely going to act as both tool and ends.
Australia surely is one of the most crypto friendly nation from start. People can freely buy and sell crypto and they have bitcoin atms in Melbourne and sydney. Universities like Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and University of Technology sydney are offering courses on blockchain.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 05, 2020, 03:45:40 PM
~ As MSD said It was just matter of time. So, good things take time and hopefully CSK carry this rhythms for next matches.
Lets see whether CSK can play consistent cricket, they have issues with their bowling as well as the weak middle order and they can very well sort that out by promoting the big hitters up the order.

RCB has a good batting line up but they are leaking runs on the ground, missing catches and poor fielding and they lost matches this season because of their poor fielding and today too they missed the catch of Marcus Stoinis and i am expecting him to make the RCB pay for the miss as he is in great form and timing the ball well.

CSK has a consistent performance in almost all of the IPL tournaments they've played and current team is not that different from last year's, so I believe they'd keep improving themselves to reach the elimination games. RCB has always been unpredictable and their performance has been not so impressive. Though they have 3 out of 4 wins, not considering the running game, they lost to King's XI which is one of the poorest team for this tournament and some earlier. And the one's they won was also with close margins.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: October 05, 2020, 02:15:34 PM
I have been gambling a lot these days with soccer matches but I'm not enough lucky to make a profit. Howeber, I'm not into huge loss. It's very tiny amount if I check all the previous P/L.
I don't bet big amount. Usually, I bet $4/$5 worth of BTC on a lot of matches; sometimes I win and sometimes I loss. But that can't make me any profit.
Should I go for bigger amount of bets on few matches or stay with current strategy (placing many bets of small amounts)?

It all depends on how accurate your predictions for the matches are. If you manage to predict one or two matches successfully enough, it is better to bet the entire amount on several matches. This will increase your chance of winning a good amount of money.

That will not be a wise decision to put all the money in one match even if you are confident about your prediction. What if the team performed very bad on the day and you lose all your money. Its  always risky to put all your eggs in one basket.
we have our own belief in gambling, maybe He wanted to try His luck so he needs to bet single chance.
This is what happens when we wanted to gamble but we have no time, sometimes we visit gambling sites and then Bet all your money in single match.
if we win then thank you if not?it's ok because that is what gambling tend to be.to win or lose.

For tournaments and world cups I'm following, I have a gambling budget and place a small sized bets on almost every game, sometimes doing martingale if I seem to be loosing. I generally do it on a single betting site. For some individual good odds I find, I immediately deposit a good sum and bet on the odds I believe would come true. So, it depends on my intention as well as my mood. I try to keep almost all of my bets as analytic as possible but occasionally emotions take over the analysis specially when your own team is on play.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion on VeChain (VET) on: October 04, 2020, 03:50:45 PM
Didn't give much interest to this coin before but do you think this project has high potential?
Do you think it can reach 0,1$ in a near future?

I remember Vechain, formally VEN as the coin that brought me the most return on investment. It was started as a China based Supply chain management system and had an impressive growth in it's initial time. It crashed rapidly when China blanket banned crypto. But at the moment, VET has successfully established it as a global company and stroke a few deals with Chinese cities and companies to test it's blockchain based supply chain management system. They have also evolved as an overall utility platform with their own governance system. As the prices are low now, it's a good option to have in your portfolio.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 04, 2020, 03:02:11 PM
Don't know how Leicester lost this match. I had confidence on them. Played good games till now and suddenly slipped with a lower table team in a home match. Lost my bet and vardy was my FPL captain today. -_-
Feeling sad with 69 others lol.
This is how Premier League is going on. Leicester City got a victory against Man City over 5-2 goals on 28th of September, but it's because they're not consistency how badly lost today against West Ham. Yes Premier League that full with inconsistency teams, so we cannot anticipate the correct one to enroll a single shoot on target.

Things seems to be a little unpredictable at the moment but things would start settling as the the league advances. Manchester City surely is superior to Leicester and that huge loss was a surprise. A bad day for the Man City players. Liverpool still is the most balanced team and they'll surely lead the table with a good margin. Leeds and Everton would be exciting to watch. Most of the games are predictable today except ManU and Spurs game, which would be worthwhile to watch.
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if there is a 10-year 1000x token, are u going to buy? (This is Ad) on: October 04, 2020, 01:14:11 PM
So I am going to create a token...no joke..., to fund my project.

Token is token, keep or trade, same as other tokens.

Let's talk about project (to be continue....)

Anybody interested in knowing it or I just stop here?

The price of token is determined by market and not by individuals. We have seem rise only markets from some exchanges which failed miserably as there are no buyers and only sellers. The token issuer in no way can guarantee a price.
If you are promising a x1000 of the tokens reward on staking, we've also seen how miserably the high staking coins failed.
The only way to get a good price to a token at this time is to use come up with a good strategy to use the raised fund to generate a profit which would be reflected as value to the token.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 04, 2020, 10:40:56 AM
Halep in huge trouble at the moment... looks like going out.

... and she's lost! 6-1 6-2, against the world number 54, Iga Swiatek.

I don't think that Serena leaving the tournament was a big shock (whether injury or defeat)... but Halep losing in this way has surprised me. Maybe she didn't take her opponent seriously enough. Big shock. Some context - they played in the same round at the same tournament last year, and Halep won 6-1 6-0.

If Swiatek ends up playing fifth seed Bertens in the next round (although Bertens is currently losing)... then I'd predict that Swiatek will be disappointing and fail to hit her earlier heights. A shock victory against a big seed can I think often trigger a hangover effect in the next round, and Bertens should win easily. You saw the prediction here first! Unless Swiatek thrashes her, in which case please forget I predicted anything Cheesy.

Swiatek had an impressive win over Halep. Swiatek will not be disappointing in this tournament as she has no earlier height to hit. She's just a young girl at 19 and it's her first entrance to limelight in grand slam career. Even if she fails to win the cup, she has still a lot to learn and improve. If she maintained herself, I bet we are seeing another tennis star on rise.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 03, 2020, 03:13:02 PM
Can we be fair to Messi and stop discussing him all the time? Whatever you want to think of him, he has been a faithful and loyal servant. Let us talk about the good football that we saw anyway not just from him now but from the new generation. I agree with OrcTradism here. Ansu Fati is the part of our future at Barca so let us celebrate that too.
Messi's appearance is still good this season, seen from the initial match against the villareal he made a good contribution to Barcelona, but many supporters still have not recovered their memory when Messi failed to bring Barcelona to the Champions League final after losing badly to Bayern Munich with a score of 8 - 2. This is an indication that many supporters say that the Lionel Messi era is over. but there is still one more season for Messi to prove whether he still deserves to be crowned the best player or not, we have to wait for how Messi's contribution this season to Barcelona, whether he is able to give the title or will fast for titles like last season.

I'm just sad that Messi is playing La Liga and with Barcelona. He's one of the humble and professional player and I'm sure he'll deliver all he can for the team. But if it were someone else who have made up their mind to leave and were forced to play with financial threats from the team they spent their career on, they would have had a meltdown. As of his performance, I still consider Messi one of the best footballer and the reason for Barcelona's loss on league and on trophy is largely the team than Messi individually. This year, Barcelona had had a good start, let's see how it all folds.
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is monero a good buy because of the application? on: October 03, 2020, 11:45:36 AM
Personal opinion: the less privacy and anonymity we will have in the future, the more Monero will matter.

It's why Monero is always a good coin for your portfolio. Not just a popular privacy focused coin, Monero is one of the most decentralized coin and it's mining unlike bitcoin, would remain popular for a long future. It has always stood to counter dedicated mining machines and is still popular with individual miners.
Even if the governments around the world jointly enforced a ban on cryptocurrency, Monero would be the one least affected. I don't mean to cause panic but as an investor, we should be ready for worst case scenario.
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone accidentally sent or received BTC to and from another address? on: October 03, 2020, 07:44:57 AM
It has happen to me once. I don't remember the exact date but bitcoin was $230 for a unit. I was sending coins to my clients through a service that I was using and I was doing some transactions that day. I prefer doing Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V but was so careless that didn't realize the 2nd address was not copied and I ended up sending it to another client. The amount was just $10 but that would be 0.043 bitcoins at that time.
After the incident, I started checking my address twice and verifying both the starting and ending characters of address. And can tell that I have always sent coins to the address I wanted thereafter. I was hacked and scammed other ways but never by a address changing malware.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite gamemodes on: October 03, 2020, 04:46:31 AM
Everyone loves playing with or along other real players. Some roulette specially the live ones do offer multiple users to bet on same table for the same spin.
Poker is the best form of community gambling, there you actually interact with other players. Personally, I also prefer crash games as it has some degree of community vibes.
I gamble the most on sports betting, Tennis is the best game for making money as there are almost all data and comparison available online. 50 overs cricket matches are another one I prefer. Football is not the ideal format to gamble but everyone loves it and you gamble not just for profit.
