2161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some one is sending me BTC 0.00000001 , Why? on: November 07, 2014, 02:58:20 PM
You are being spammed, just ignore
One secondary consequence if you have two many micro inputs is that your default tx fee may go up so keep an eye on that

If you have received a lot of spamming transactions, you could switch to bitcoin core, enable coin control and choose to not spend those dusts.

That is interesting.
Can it be done in Electrum?
2162  Other / Off-topic / Re: FREE Hugs on: November 07, 2014, 12:45:10 AM
Shouldn't this be moved to the off-topic section?
2163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone help me? on: November 06, 2014, 12:21:02 AM
People just don't seem to read sticky threads.  Smiley

In these times of Mass scammers out there, I urge people to use an escrow. There are many good members out there willing to help to secure the bitcoin community, There are also more people willing to do anything to scam you out of your coins, Please just do your research on someone before you part with your hard earned coins.

An escrow list

I really wasn't aware of it until I saw the film 'V for Vendetta'.

Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015?

Its possible but if it does it is likely unsustainable maybe 2016 is more likely when the block reward rates half.

I am holding my bitcoins until the next block reward halving, come what may.  Smiley
2166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Gambler on: November 05, 2014, 04:42:15 PM
you can try bitstar.net
they seems good guys
also providing multiple games you can play with them

How can you say that the result of the game is not rigged?

For example, this one in Win88 Casino https://win88.me/verification/secret can I depend on this?

There are some sites that are "provably fair".
There are still others who claim to be provably fair, but have been caught cheating. Grin
2167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: - Recently started with Bitcoin - on: November 05, 2014, 04:36:41 PM
You are an early adopter, but if all you care about is getting rich, then you have missed the train (and the point).
Everyone I've talked to about Bitcoin lose interest when they get hit by reality (they missed the train to become rich off it). Whats the point if it isn't getting rich? How do you convince the average joe to use it without that seductive posibility?

Average Joe will start using it when he sees it just another payment mechanism. We are still some time away from this, though.

I'm trying to understand but I don't... Something happened today or what?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Fawkes_Night

   Remember, remember!
    The fifth of November,
    The Gunpowder treason and plot;
    I know of no reason
    Why the Gunpowder treason
    Should ever be forgot!
    Guy Fawkes and his companions
    Did the scheme contrive,
To blow the King and Parliament
    All up alive.
    Threescore barrels, laid below,
    To prove old England's overthrow.
But, by God's providence, him they catch,
With a dark lantern, lighting a match!
    A stick and a stake
    For King James's sake!
If you won't give me one,
    I'll take two,
    The better for me,
    And the worse for you.
A rope, a rope, to hang the Pope,
A penn'orth of cheese to choke him,
A pint of beer to wash it down,
And a jolly good fire to burn him.
Holloa, boys! holloa, boys! make the bells ring!
Holloa, boys! holloa boys! God save the King!
    Hip, hip, hooor-r-r-ray!

You just have to look around at the signatures of various members (including mine) to find out about gambling sites.  Grin

2172  Economy / Services / Re: Bitstars.net Signature Campaign – up to 0.1 BTC and more per month on: November 04, 2014, 02:46:41 PM
I love BitStars! I'm in for November Signature campaign!
2173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MEMBERS SIGTATURES on: November 02, 2014, 12:41:34 AM
You will have to become a member (~2 more months) before you earn anything meaningful from signature campaigns.
2174  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: November 02, 2014, 12:37:41 AM
I can not succeed to associate bitcoin to a girl, because all of people that I know which at the same time know bitcoin are only men and not women !  Grin Grin Grin

So, I think that you're the one and only woman in this forum  Cheesy

Lol yes but there are two other girls here so far. I wish the girls who are hiding (if any) would come out and post in this thread. It would be pretty sad if there were only 3 of us in this whole forum.

So, may us know something about you? Where do you from, how old are you? Post a picture  Smiley Are you american?

I guess this thread belongs to the off-topic board.

2176  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Martingale System on: October 29, 2014, 01:20:51 AM
I tried Martingale System and I can say with certainty that Martingale almost allways fail. The main reason is that you need a huge amount of money.

You need an unlimited amount of money and the casino needs to accept unlimited bets.
It doesn't help if the casino has an upper limit on the amount which can be bet.
2177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: faucet and nodes what are they? on: October 29, 2014, 01:18:07 AM
with faucet bitcoin you can get free bitcoins, but it may take a long time.
you can find in this forum some topics about this way to get free bitcoins.

Faucets are really a waste of time.
You can get more bitcoins by working (in the real / virtual world) and then buying bitcoins.
2178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PETITION AMAZON: 4,744 have signed, only 256 more to make 5000! on: October 28, 2014, 03:46:48 PM
Amazon is already fully aware of bitcoin.
I don't think a petition is going to help.  Smiley
2179  Other / Meta / Re: Changing Avatars on: October 28, 2014, 12:26:32 AM

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0#post_faq

Q: Why doesn't the forum let me add an avatar?
A: The forum was hacked some time ago. It is thought that the avatars were used as a means of injecting malicious code into the forum. Even though the vulnerability was patched, the avatars will be disabled until a new forum software is released.

Q: So when is the new forum software coming?
A: Well, according to theymos, some time after February 2015.

<...>
Quote
When will the software be finished?

About one year from now.
