I still cannot accept the Dinamo (1-0) Chelsea result. Dinamo Zagreb gave Chelsea a great performance in their 1-0 Champions League win over Chelsea. There is no longer anything special about Chelsea. Players' commitment and Tuchel's tactics must be scrutinized. With his myopic mind set, he is being carried by the team. The performance of this team is unacceptable when compared to its pedigree.
Not just about their pedegree, but also the money they spent in the just concluded transfer market, i am pretty sure the Chelsea owners will absolutely be seething right now, they can't spend the kind of money they spent in the last few weeks, to lose some really cheap games in the EPL, and now in the CL, the performance is unacceptable, and tbh if it was still Roman Abramovich in charge, i am pretty sure Tuchel would have been sitting on a really hot seat right now.

Having said that, the longer their poor run of form continues, the more pressure the players are on, and at that moment every little thing that goes against them seems more like it is the end of the world, i think they play Fulham at the weekend in the EPL, if they fail to win that game, then they would really be in for a pretty bad season.

Another interesting match is going live, I want to watch PSG vs Juventus but it looks like the Sevilla vs Manchester City match is no less good. PSG just scored, it was a hard volley from Mbappe.
Juventus have really been disappointing in this first half, they have just let PSG run through them, completely dominating the game and under no pressure whatsoever, that's not the sort of big match quite a lot of people envisaged and tuned in to watch, i'm pretty sure the manager will be giving the players some stick right now, as it's half-time, they definitely have to play better and make this game a contest in the second half.

Having said that, in City's game, it is Haaland doing what he knows how to do best, scoring goals, and it is De Bruyne doing what he knows how to do best, and that is setting up goals, Haaland could prolly be the difference for Manchester City in the Champions League, just to have that big man up front causing trouble for opposition defense and getting the goals that matter might just see City go all the way this season; well still on this game they must be weary of Sevilla, i am really impressed with how Sevilla are passing the ball, with so much confidence, though they are yet to create anything, but City must add to their lead if they are to move into comfort zone.

Now imagine if that account is OR was hacked, think about how much the scammer will be able to make in a few minutes before Twitter flags the account as being hacked and return it to the rightful owner, it has happened before, it will definitely happen again sometime in the future, and YES, people will still fall victim, people will still send their funds because they erroneously think the crypto network is a get rich quick scheme, and that their funds can somehow be multiplied.
I know I'll probably get hate for the way I did this awareness campaign, but I don't care. It's going to get at least a few people to start thinking more critically about where and to who they send their money. And that is more than worth it to me. It was fun
If it was an actual scammer hiding behind a laptop to scam them, will they hate the anonymous scammer, prolly yes, but their hate will yield nothing, their money is gone, in this case they were refunded in full the money they ordinarily would/should/already have lost, thus anyone hating is absolutely kidding me; people should read, live and learn.

Harry Kane seems to be okay with Antonio Conte project on going Tottenham but this doesn't goes the way the club always for the club
When money is involved and the player wats the switch to the next club then you can't stop it from happening.
.Come January if Tottenham are not inna good position Harry Kane will consider the settings and once this big decision been made no going back.
Tbh i don't think there is any chance of Harry Kane leaving Spurs in January, maybe at the end of this season, but certainly not in January. Having said that, the thing here isn't actually even about Kane being happy with the project Antonio Conte is building or not, it is about the money that's to be paid in order to acquire his services, i know it is a crazy transfer market we have in football these days, and any club that wants to sign Harry Kane must be ready to splash the cash.

The spurs board are also good at frustrating a club's bid for their players, they did it to City last summer when City were interested in Harry Kane, they have done it to other clubs that wanted to buy players from them too; thus people might think Harry Kane will eventually leave Spurs before his contract expires, but i would not be surprised if Spurs manage to keep him till his contract runs out, even without them as a club winning any silverware.

If I haven't been a member of bitcointalk forum then I wouldn't have known Bitcoin in the first place.
That is an interesting statement mate, did you find out about Bitcointalk before Bitcoin, quite a lot of us found out about Bitcoin and thus wanted to garner more information about it and that was what brought us here, or do you actually mean the forum has helped you know more about Bitcoin, because i don't know how possibly a user here can find out about the forum first before Bitcoin, more often than not, it is the quest to learn more about Bitcoin that allures users here. Having said that, whichever reason brings people here doesn't matter, as long as they turn out to be good and constructive posters who contribute to make the forum a decent place for Bitcoin discussion.

If you want the best advice mate, then it is DYOR, that is the first and most important thing to do before any investment whatsoever, after doing your own research, you might not need anybody's advice on what to do or the right steps to take; you should also take into cognizance that most altcoins are short term projects and hodling them for quite a long time might not be the best thing to do.

Having said that, Ethereum has been the best altcoin for quite a long time now, with many Eth killers coming and failing, i have to select Ethereum as one of the best altcoins an investor can invest in; and if you are to choose Ethereum, then you don't have to buy any other coins because you think you want to diversify, you are only trying so hard to lose money, if you choose one coin, and you want to diversify, then you look outside of the crypto market for another investment.

@uchegod-12, i don't know if it is a mistake or something, but you actually wrote "top 30 active users May 2022", shouldn't it be August, since the data is for last month's activities, you should take a closer look at it and change it to the appropriate month bro.
As some snr men for here like Coyster, BIT-BENDER, igehhh  and others don talk, make we dey try keep here clean.
It is very important if discussions must continue to improve here, i mean quality discussions by the way, if the thread is clean and free from mess then quality posters would be allured and will continue to post here, but if the thread isn't clean, many Nigerian users wouldn't want to visit this thread, and you know we need quality posters and their activities in order for us to get our own local board.

I understand that accumulating during a bull market is a good strategy for a long-term holder, but I'd say now is not the best time to buy those cheap altcoins.
Na now wey i don understand you, we bin they talk different things, i bin think say na bitcoin you they talk about, so i come they wonder why you go talk say make person no buy Bitcoin now, because like this sev as Bitcoin drop so, na better time to accumulate more for small money; but as na altcoins you they talk about, then you are correct, now no be good time to buy altcoins, if person wan accumulate altcoins no be even for this bear period, because you fit buy altcoins wey no go even survive the bear market, the coin go come turn person to bagholder; but abeg if you be investor wey they only buy Bitcoin, now na good time to they buy more.

Aubameyang is a kind of player who will do well in any league he goes to, we have seen in past years how well he did playing in Germany, England and Spain and now coming back to England feels like coming back to continue from where he left off just playing in a different jersey. He has the ability to succeed in tough leagues, it will be almost as the same as when he played for the Gunners.
I second that, tbh i don't see any reason why anyone would doubt what Aubameyang is capable of doing in Chelsea, i mean, it is not like he has flopped in any of his previois teams, it is either he wanted to leave, or he had problems with the manager like at Arsenal, or he simply fell out of favor because the club signed a better striker than him, like at Barcelona. Thus Aubameyang will have no problems succeeding at Stamford Bridge, and under the management of his former coach whom he so much did well under, in the past.

Having said that, Chelsea need a striker and now they have one, it is now time for Tuchel to decide which is his best formation, and pick the team he considers the strongest, Sterling can now play far out wide with Aubameyang in the center, it is going to be interesting and i am pretty sure Chelsea fans will be looking forward to what is to come for their club.
2191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 04, 2022, 08:33:40 PM
My belief in Erik Ten Hag and the team is starting to become firm. Although, I still think Ronaldo needs more game time. I mean, it will take a long time for me to adjust to seeing him on the bench or coming in as a sub. For me he is being underutilized. For example, during the game, I counted about 3 chances which he created. Now can you imagine if Erik Ten Hag had brought him in earlier in the game. We would have seen more goal scoring chances.
I don't know for sure what are Erik ten hag's reasons for continually leaving Ronaldo out of the starting eleven, but i think it is because of the issues he was having with the club before the close of the transfer window, he had some disciplinary issues, and maybe Erik is leaving him out of the starting eleven to set the records straight that he is the manager and is completely in charge of the team; another reason could be that the team is winning, the strategy is working, so why change it he may think.

Having said that, i think Ronaldo should be starting in this Manchester United team, aside the fact that i love seeing him play, i think he is much better than some of the attackers that are starting ahead of him, and if he is given the opportunity to play more games, he will definitely help the team. Ronaldo looks happy on the outside, but i know deep down in his heart he can't be happy staying on the bench, so i wonder for how long he would be able to contain his emotions if Erik continues to bench him.
2192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Solana still among the top 10 coins in market cap? on: September 04, 2022, 07:52:01 PM
Whilst it has had its own fair share of problems, i guess people still believe in their network and that is why Solana is still where it is at the moment, remember that a while back quite a lot of investors believed it was the coin to take Ethereum out of first position in the altcoin market, they called it the "Eth killer", i know there have been quite a lot of coins that were called "Ethereum killers" in the past, but i think there was a large share of believe amongst its community of investors that Solana was actually going to be the one to get it right. Well, things haven't gone right for them as they must have envisaged, but maybe people are still believing, thus they are still investing and trading with it, it prolly might not stay as high as it is now in the next couple of months, and sooner rather than later we might see a decline.
2193  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: September 04, 2022, 07:03:29 PM
Do not buy until Bitcoin recovers in November, and don't expect a bull run this year; it will most likely occur in 2023.
Is that really a wise strategy my bro? I mean, if one is a long term hodler and the coins they are accumulating now is for the long term, then definitely buying during the dip is actually the best way to go about things; since you believe Bitcoin is still going to drop further, to eventually rise back up/start another bull run/set another ATH in the long period; that can only mean now presents an opportunity to accumulate more when the price is cheaper, waiting for it to recover or start to rise again before you buy is not the best thing to do. Imo it is much better to accumulate it when you can do it for a 'cheap' price, except of course for people who are short term investors, those are the sort of investors that your advice suits.
2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 31, 2022, 03:09:08 PM
Erik ten Hag feels confident that Cristiano Ronaldo will not leave Manchester United in the final days of the transfer window, although in recent days talks about a move have been discussed between Napoli and Ronaldo's former club Sporting CP.
Well, it is actually looking like Ronaldo isn't going anywhere, and i just think it is because nobody wanted to buy him, rather than Manchester United not wanting him to leave, i mean, just take a look at the teams that reports claim have been interested thus far this summer, they are either teams that Ronaldo can never play in, like Athletico Madrid and Chelsea, or teams that are not really good/better than Manchester United, like Napoli, Sporting and the rest; i actually feel sorry for Ronaldo that this is happening to him at this time in his career, but the closer we get to deadline day, the more it becomes obvious that Ronaldo would not be playing Champions League football this season.

Having said that, another problem Ronaldo might likely face in Manchester United this season is playing time, he might not get as much playing time as he will want, and that might create problems between himself and the manager, but overall, whatever the outcome is, Ronaldo must act like a professional that he is, and give his very best to the team whenever he is called upon.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 31, 2022, 01:21:20 PM
In terms of play and possession, we can't doubt Chelsea in this match but their defense is still very weak now because there are definitely some adjustments with their new players who in this case are quite a lot.
On the other hand, their attackers are still not showing good signs at the moment to be able to develop a pattern of play.
In a game against Southampton, you'd expect Chelsea to dominate the play and possession, which i think they did; but Southampton still had more shots on goal than Chelsea, which is poor imo, i would not categorize Chelsea's defense as being poor, Koulibaly and T. Silva is a strong defensive pairing, and soon they would have Fofana in the team, they also have strong full backs; i think Chelsea's problems are not from a particular position, it is more of a general thing, and i would look at the coach if that be the case, maybe he is prolly not setting up his players in the way he should, and prolly his tactics aren't working, but it is poor and unaccceptable for a team of Chelsea's standards to be losing 2 games out of 5, drawing 1 and winning only 2, if they continue like that, i'm afraid they might even struggle to finish in the top four.
2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 31, 2022, 12:11:02 PM
Manchester united is not good in doing transfer business, they always buy players at over high price and let them go free when they are worth less. It is not only Manchester United that is in this bracket, every other clubs in England are victims of this. It was only Arsene Wenger of Arsenal that understood the business and it was going fine for him.
Manchester United are that way for two reasons, one is that the transfer market in football this days has gone abslolutely crazy, clubs now place an outrageous valuation on their players, in a bid to make sure they get the most out of them, and two because Manchester United are a deperate club, they have not won the league in a long while, they have changed managers a lot in the last couple of season, and now they are just 'ticking every box' in the hope that one works out for them, and when it doesn't, they are left with egg on their face and they sometimes have to sell the players for very less.

Having said that, you can't compare what Wenger was doing at Arsenal then, with what the situation of the market is now, if you take that approach, i'm afraid you'd not win any trophy, and would prolly struggle to even finish in the top four, this days you can't even get average players for a cheap amount, you have to spend money to stay at the top, that is the reality mate.
2197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 31, 2022, 11:38:48 AM
I just read the news about Scott Parker. Scott Parker turned out to be fired from Bournemouth. It looked like a 9-0 defeat to Liverpool angered Maxim Demin. According to the news he was fired after 3 days from the defeat. In addition, Parker's statement also added to the anger of the club's owners. Even according to the actual news they have spent quite a lot of money. Maxim Demin doesn't seem to be considering parker's services as well who have helped them get from Championsip to the EPL. Parker only worked 4 games in the EPL. Perhaps he was the first EPL manager to be sacked this season.
Not perhaps, Scott Parker is the first manager to be sacked in the Premier League this season, initially i was surprised with the decision from Bournemouth to fire parker after just four games in which they lost 3 and won one, mind you, the oppositions they have played against aren't the sort of teams you'd expect Bournemouth to win, they beat Aston Villa, and lost to City, Arsenal and Liverpool, i mean, those are 3 of the best teams in the league, so why then has he been sacked so early.

Thus i did a bit of research into it, and read what legit news sources had to say, and i think the problem stems from a disagreement between Parker and the Bournemouth hierarchy, so Parker wanted them to spend money to strengthen the team, whilsts the board felt they didn't have the finances to do that, this lead to open complaints from Parker on how the team wasn't strong, and thus led to them firing him. It is a bit of a hard one to take for Parker, especially after having secured promotion for them from the Championship, but i guess we could understand it from both parties, and this is prolly what's best for both of them.

I will hope that Bayern and Inter eliminate Barcelona already in the group stage and Barcelona's all-in doesn't work  Roll Eyes
Lol, i am pretty sure Barcelona would have hoped for a much easier group, in the past this prolly would have been an easy group for them, and they'd have surely qualified alongside Bayern Munich, but at this very time they are a team in transition, and are just trying to rediscover themselves, thus this is going to be a really tough group. Having said that, i think they can still go through, Inter aren't too strong, though more often than not they can be a stubborn opposition, i for one would want Barcelona to make it out of the group stages, it would be much better for the competition if they make it through.
2199  Other / Meta / Re: Hello Forum Admn. Can you create a New Board : "Bitcoin Business & Networking" on: August 31, 2022, 09:34:37 AM
This Board will be very helpful for Bitcoin  traders and those who seeking to do networking will find it helpful in the forum.
Well if you want a board where bitcoin traders can 'network' with one another, i'd take 'network' here to mean sharing trading signals and strategies to assist in your trade, then you can just do that in the trading discussion section, prolly create a thread with your own signal and strategies, and request other traders that are willing to share theirs to join in the party. But if by 'networking' you mean meeting new people that are involved in trading like yourself, then i'm afraid Bitcointalk isn't the right place for that cause of privacy reasons.
2200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: August 31, 2022, 08:23:35 AM
I stay strong and positive for ethereum, i don't care what happens to ethereum, for now i'm more happy in storage not selling, I'm sure ethereum has a long way to go in the future, so I'm still committed to investing and saving, I don't think now is the right time to sell.
This is exactly the position OP must take, just as i told them in my earlier response in this thread, if you invest in a project, of course after doing your own research, then you should believe in it, i for one for example believe in the Bitcoin network, and notwithstanding whatever FUD or panic the media and some personalities try to spread, i basically do not care, i hodl my Bitcoin, and spend it when i get a chance to, that is because i have done my research about Bitcoin and i know it is a long term project.

Having said that, Ethereum looks like a good project in the Altcoin market, it has been around for a long while and has a pretty strong community, thus the coin might not really dump as rumors have it, but like i said before, it is only OP that can make that conclusion.
