I've uploaded a small update v3.1, +5% speed for 290/290X, so CPD for these cards is about 2.5 now. For other cards probably you will see even less improvement, so just wait for better update

how can i know if my block is orphaned or not?I just find a 10ch with the new version solo miner but it doesnt say valid block
Miner will show "Found block!!!" message when you found block. Wallet will show your reward and also will show a tootip in the taskbar about it. If block orphaned it will be removed within a minute and block reward will be removed from wallet.

for solo in .bat, can use any xpm address? (or can use only address in claymore wallet Edition) thx.
Use any your XPM address.

Cannot find the block is what reason?
If you have a lot of GPUs you will find blocks regularly. Otherwise it's a , use pool version of miner instead. 3X 280X can be it? It is about 1 block per 1 day. If you are lucky you can get block in several hours. If unlucky - it can take 2-3 days.

v3.0b SOLO is available, this version does not require custom-built wallet. Now use official primecoin wallet with v3.0b-SOLO. In other words: v3.0 SOLO required "Primecoin Wallet Claymore Edition". v3.0b SOLO requires official Primecoin Wallet.
No changes in pool miner, this update is for solo miner only.

can you post unscrambled EXE, this will trough a light Yeah, and sources would be even better I know
|
|
|
I am very interested how you scramble EXE file ? I am afraid of such miners to run, because it can be a miner + trojan horse...
You have a choice: 1. Use antivirus. 2. Use this miner only on mining rigs that don't contain any important files. 3. Don't use this miner.

Ok I'm seeing 21 active connections now on my wallet, here's how:
Keeping the port closed when starting the wallet, open it after 5 mins or so. In couple hours, the connections shoot up.
what port number? 9911, the one most used by primecoin network. should we change rpcport=7332 to 9911 in the .conf file? Don't do it. "rpcport" port is used for the miner only, not for primecoin network.

readme says -ss 1 and 2 available -ss 0 disalable for miner v3.0?
what about -t ? any advice to use it? (6 GPU on athlone x2 x250)
Try "-ss 2 -t 8" if your CPU is slow. It's a good idea to test different values and see changes in 4ch/h.
|
|
|
If you specified wrong login or password, you will see a message about it. "Request to coin client failed: can reach client" error means different problem - miner cannot connect to wallet for some reason at all. Don't forget to copy "primecoin.conf" file from miner archive to "c:\Users\YourWindowsLogin\AppData\Roaming\Primecoin\" folder and restart the wallet.

Got Windows 7 64bit and I'm getting the compatibility error: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running..." when trying to open your custom primecoin wallet.
Thought every x86 program can run on a x64 OS (but not vice-verse), anything I can do?
I tested it on Windows 7 x64 SP1 successfully. Wallet is x86 application. Anyone else can confirm this problem? Yeah, i mine solo right now, it's ok but my Win7 x64 without SP1. Btw your solo miner work with High Performance 12 client, just start miner for a few minutes and decided to mine with your version. Please read "readme", my miner cannot be used with any other wallets, and vice versa, don't use my version of wallet with any other miners. Yes, it will work at first glance, but you will not find any blocks. Miner at starting shows this warning.

Claymore
really on two cards 280x in solo to find the block?
1 290X card shows CPD about 2.4-2.5. Currently it is one block per two days. 280x is about 1.5 times slower, so I think you will get about 2 blocks per 3 days. However, diff is rising, also note that wallet must have good number of connections to reduce orphaned blocks.

v3.0 is available. What's new:
- Added SOLO version with same mining speed as ypool version. - Speedup about 15-25%, depends on card, faster card - more speedup. - Improved stability for high "-hc" values. - Removed "-ss 0" mode, now it works as default "-ss 1". - Added "-log 1" command for logging.
Is it still 10% fee on solo miner. Can't really tell from the readme. But the YPool is defininitly faster for me on the R9 270 and R9 280. You rock. And I still am doing the 10% was just curious about the solo miner. Solo miner has the same speed, just start both pool and solo on two cards and wait 20-30 min, they will show same 4 ch/h values. Wait a few hours and you will see same values for 7ch/h. You mean I can run 2 different instances on each card and not lose speed? No, I mean that if you have two cards you can start one pool miner and one solo miner and compare speeds.

@Claymore It's a bit unstable. Any chance of having some simple API so we can check on it and restart or reboot if something is wrong? In the meantime I'm trying to wrap it in Ruby script, so that I can interact with the shell window while I'm at it and process output programmatically while I'm away. But I have problems with STDOUT redirection. It stops output after the line "xpt: Logged in". Can you help me on that?
It can be unstable at high "-hc" values on some systems and if your cards are overclocked too much. Anyway, I just use "printf" and "std::cout" for output so stdout redirection must work properly. Do you want to have an option to save "share found" messages to some file so you can check it periodically?

I just wanted to say thanks @ Claymore for a really awesome miner. I found 3 blocks in the first 2 days of using it. Great job, keep it up!
solo? No, on ypool. I don't think it can do solo. Looking at what you said.. if Claymore can do solo, it will be great! ypool is getting too much hashrate I'm working on solo miner, it will be available in a couple of days.
