^  Yeah...  I think the new meta on passive airdrops is moving away from staking tokens to holding the right NFT's.  So meaning holding Mad Lads, Tensorians, Pudgy Penguins, Bad Kids, Celestine Sloths and Mad Scientists...  Maybe holding Miladys and Remilios could start getting in some airdrops too.  Dunno tho...  NFA.

As for Light Link's node NFT airdrop for TIA stakers, it looks like the holders will receive vested tokens.  As for the drop schedule I'm not really sure.

^  Been here for quite a bit and the last couple of halvings had a different feel to it.  Like everything was gonna get better and BTC is gonna lead the way and rule the world.  I don't get that feeling from everybody this halving.  But yeah...  Maybe I'm just a bit more mature and have gotten a lot jaded from all the idealistic stuff that I had in me when I first entered the space.  And to think I've seen a lot of guys who came in here who were apathetic and turned idealistic.  I'm the other way.  Cheesy Cheesy

But yeah...  It looks like there's still some hope for 75k.
I feel like that could be because we already broke over ATH right now, and in other halving we did not break over ATH before the halving, that means that we have seen what we wanted to see even before the halving came, so what is left to see. Doesn't mean that we won't go up even more, I d o believe that we are going to go up even more, not only because of the halving but because of the ETF money going into bitcoin as well, thousands of bitcoins bought every single week, that is going to mean something, plus all the miners making less now, and the price hasn't doubled like halving should make it, meaning that the yare not making a lot, and eventually that will matter too. So these two combined eventually will mean something, and price will go up.

Coming back to 75k by the end of the month, we just have 5 days to go.  So it's kinda starting to feel a bit iffy now.  But if it happens then good.  Not holding my breath on it now tho which takes us to next month's poll...  Any suggestions?  Still have no idea what to ask everybody, so if you have any ideas then post it itt.

I think what the UFC should do then is give the Miocic fight to Aspinall and not wait for Jon Jones anymore.  I think it's what's fair for everybody concerned.  Aspinall doesn't to wait  Miocic gets his retirement money and Jon Jones is given more time to recuperate.

As for Aspinall vs Pereira, sure why not...  Would love to see these guys throw leather but it doesn't really make sense.  Just let Pereira fight at 205 and let Aspinall take on all comers of he gets the title from Jones.

That's logical, but the whole problem is that Stipe won't fight Tom. I believe it was Tom who confirmed that in one of the interviews, freshly after Jon's injury was announced.
Frankly, from Stipe's perspective, it would be a stupid move to make. He's effectively (but not officially) retired so will only go for a huge money fight, meaning Jon Jones. Not a bad plan: step into the octagon, dance around, get KOed, get paid, announce retirement and live happily ever after.
But if he were to accept a fight with Aspinal and lose, there would be zero chance of him getting to fight Jones. So it was either Aspinall or Jones for him, and a Jones fight obviously pays incomparably better.

Now, some could say that UFC could force Stipe (or Jones) into certain fights, but the truth is, they don't have much leverage on fighters who are already secured financially and on the verge of retirement. If the UFC put their foot down and said "You have to fight X or you won't fight ever again", they'd just say No and move on to other things, and the UFC would lose a lot on potential income.

Well give Miocic an offer he can't refuse and an assurance that he'll be in the hall of fame.  So it's either that or wait for Jon Jones which might not even materialize judging from how Jones is taking his time in getting his shoulder sorted.

And lol...  What does Miocic really expect at this point?  He's like over 40 and hasn't fought in two years.  Lol.  He should feel lucky the UFC is still giving him his due.

As for the event this weekend, the more I look at the match ups more closely, the more I'm liking it.  Most if these match ups won't go the distance me thinks.

I don't see anyone interested in fighting Pereira at LHW either. I don't think Ankalaev has a chance against him or any other else in the LHW that will challenge Pereira. These guys will just waste time until Pereira turns 41 and infirmed. It's the usual game already even in boxing. Pereira wants to fight as he is already 36, it is just a race against time, he'd got to go to the topmost to dominate all the ranks and retire so beating the big guys would be his last act.

I think he already expressed this in an interview and probably the last fight will be Jon Jones if he wins against Tom.

Wups really?  Lol.  I think Ankalaev can't wait to get his hands on Pereira.  The guy couldn't defend a TD even if his momma depended on it.  I think Ankalaev will mop the floor with Pereira and I really hope the books will get it wrong and line Ankalaev as a huge underdog now that everybody is convinced that Pereira is like the second coming or something.

As for the coming event, from a betting perspective I like Austin Hubbard at 2.33, Medic and Nicolau parlay at 2.00 and thinking about if I gamble on Guskov at 2.50.

Edit:  Here's a fight replay.

Bro...  Using all caps in the title got me so I had to go in and see what's up.  Turns out most of these things are ponzus.  And that's not the only thing.  They're ponzus with no community and no culture.  Memecoins on the other hand, the good ones at least, go viral and have staying power.  And that's all because of the community behind them even if they are ponzus.

And another thing...  Grin

But yeah, I totally get it.  Been there countless times.

$Avail airdrop live: https://claim.availproject.org

Cunt of them to reward node runners randomly. Plus, site doesn't work on mobile devices, workaround if you are on android is that; go to developer options (tap 'build number' to make this option visible if it's not visible already), search for 'smallest width' and set it to 1080, now site will work.

I'm active on l2s every single day, yet wasn't eligible, meh drop, I expected $DYM stakers to be included but they were excluded as well. Oh well, onto next.

So no airdrop for TIA or DYM stakers?  Cheesy Cheesy  There some guy who started apreading some sht about Avail airdrop for DYM stakers and these farmers picked up on it and spread the word as if it was real.  Now it's ending with huge disappointed.  Lmao.

Anyway, I did hear that Light Link will airdrop 'node NFTs' to TIA and PYTH stakers.  What the NFT really is we don't know but yay!  Hope I get in.

The F1 race was fun and boring at the same time.

Max and Redbull are clearly the strongest but with less margin than last year.

Ferrari will perhaps return to being competitive for victories only after the Imola Grand Prix since the updates are only scheduled for that date, while Redbull and Mclaren have already brought substantial updates during these races. Until then they will only be able to compete if Redbull has some problems.

Merdeces is a disaster.

I second that about Mercedes...  I think Hamilton already saw the writing on the wall a year before he decided not to renew his contract with Mercedes then made the decision to sign up with Ferrari.  We've seen it before and what had happened.  Will we see it again?  I'd say yes please...  I would looove a very competitive Ferrari for a change.  Play time is over.  Splash the cash and get Horner in and back Hamilton!

Man oh man, what an exciting season will that be.  Wink

Anyway...  Miami in a couple of weeks.

Nah...  Not for Aspinall.  Apinall has a bigger prize to get in Jon Jones. (...)

I think Tom has made it clear that he doesn't want to be sitting idle and waiting for Jones and the UFC still wants Jones to fight Stipe.
I don't think there's even any date set for Jon Vs Stipe and who knows if Jones will even accept to fight Tom and if so, how soon after the Miocic fight.

Money wise, Pereira Vs Aspinal would be the best option for both and Alex wouldn't even have anything on the line (other than health). But yeah, that would be unfair to Ankalaev, who definitely deserves the shot. But the option could be be for Alex to temporarily vacate his belt and let Ankalaev fight for it with Prochazka.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Prochazka or Hill Vs Jan Blachowicz, and if Jan performed badly, it would be a good time for him to retire. But apparently Jan just had another shoulder surgery, so will be out for some time.

What do you guys think about Prochazka Vs Hill? Would it make sense, and who would you put your money on?

I think what the UFC should do then is give the Miocic fight to Aspinall and not wait for Jon Jones anymore.  I think it's what's fair for everybody concerned.  Aspinall doesn't to wait  Miocic gets his retirement money and Jon Jones is given more time to recuperate.

^  But that doesn't really say much.  To win, any manager will def need a lot of money to get the players he wants and build a team that gels together.  But here's a question tho, would somebody like Ten Hag get the same results as Guardiola if he was given the same transfer budget every year?  Would Mourinho?  There's a difference imho.

Nobody can't take away greatness from Guardiola by saying 'oh hey he was given a huge transfer budget.'.  I mean come on.  Lmao.

As for today's matches, be on the look out for Fulham.  Double chance at 2.25, draw no bet at 3.30 vs LFC.  I feel like Marco Silva could out fox Klopp in this spot.  NFA.

Please include all the guys on the grid, not just the top 10.

I was intending to keep the image at an ideal size so I inserted a link which was taking the user to the website for full results. But I would do it like that from now on, no problem.  Smiley

We have the race results!

Truthfully it was really much more fun than the Suzuka Grand Prix. We watched many overtakes and SCs also. It wasn't a difficult race for Verstappen and he got the win easily as expected.

However the biggest surprise of the day was Norris' extra performance. After the last SC entered the pit Norris maintained a really great pace that even Perez couldn't get near him enough to go for an overtake.  Smiley

I must add how satisfied I was with Alonso and Hamilton's efforts also. Alonso followed a different strategy and it turned out not to be a good one. But despite that he made a great comeback. Hamilton also gained a lot of positions despite having struggles with the car.

Kewl...  And yup, it was def a better race than the Japanese GP but gotta say...  I kinda got bored mid way as it was so sure gonna be another win for Verstappen.  And not just that, kinda got disappointed with Alonso, Bottas and Ricciardo.  The latter had technical problems but Alonso I'm not so sure.  Maybe if he didn't try so hard vs Perez during the start of the race and preserved his tires, maybe he would've had a different strategy and either maintain third or prolly get better.

But dunno, pretty sure coinlocket$ could give a better evaluation.

^  Not sure but I think it was due to Sterling getting removed from the rankings at 135 as he's a 145'er now.

Yup, they moved him permanently so the 2nd place contender was void.

Pereira asked Dana in the interview if he could fight in 301 in Brazil emphasizing Hill didn't scratch him a bit, it would have been great if they had given him a spot. Maybe Amanda Nunes also, it all just needs a big offer they can't refuse. Aldo must have taken the offer. Aldo is still big in Brazil so UFC is still providing for the Brazilian demand to watch.

Agree that UFC 301 is missing something currently.
That was a bold request by Alex, but there's no way the UFC would go for that. He's got too big and too profitable to be casually thrown in into 2nd class event on such short notice.
Maybe if the sales were much lower than expected and they could find him some "safe" opponent, but very unlikely to happen.

There are talks about him moving to heavyweight to face Aspinall and frankly, I kind of like the idea. There aren't many good options right now for either Pereira or Aspinal within their weight classes. And Alex doesn't have much to lose, other than health from being brutally KOed by Tom, which is what would happen.

301 is an event in Brazil.  They're like gods over there so it's totally expected for these guys to express they're desire to fight in their home turf and in front of their supporters.  Bit even if the UFC would want to put him in there, who would be the opponent?  It's already hard to find one that would pique the fans' interest...

They are the ones who would just want to put a show on their home turf win or lose. But finding someone to fight against Alex is also another issue and it's also too much to lose on his part. But moneywise, Alex is too popular already, he is meant for the main event and the big paying audience. Aspinal vs Alex is most probably the next big hype.

But there are so many fighters in Brazil to fight on 301, UFC just didn't give them a spot for their supporters. Johnny Walker probably would want to fight if Dana would just give him.

Nah...  Not for Aspinall.  Apinall has a bigger prize to get in Jon Jones.  Winning vs him would def put him in the no. 1 pound for pound in the UFC.  And if Jones wins then he'll prolly retire.  It's just the problem is what do they do with Miocic.  I think the UFC should pay him double for to stop begging for a fight.  Cheesy Cheesy

Somebody said Ankalaev itt.  I think that should be Pereira's next opponent.
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 20, 2024, 03:35:40 PM
Is it just me or is this year's halving kinda uneventful?  :/  I remember everybody used to be so excited and a lot of guys would start threads about the halving with everybody getting so excited, post memes and just overall making it feel that it's going to be a good year.  We don't have it anymore in these parts...  Same with the Chinese New Year thing.  It's gone.  It's like we're losing our culture.

Either that or we're just getting older.  Cheesy Cheesy  The guys who made it left and the ones who are left here are still grinding in the trenches.  GL to us...  Hope some of us make it.

Edit:  Typos.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 20, 2024, 03:13:00 PM
We first got the sprint results which I was only able to watch the replay because of being very early in the morning.  Tongue  There was a Norris - Hamilton fight at the beginning which resulted in Norris' losing the control of his car and losing many places. Hamilton collected really important extra 7 points for his team by finishing as the 2nd.

However the qualifying was really terrible for Hamilton... He couldn't even make it to Q2.  Sad  It looks like Mercedes will rely on mostly Russell as he is starting in top 10.

It is quite possible to see a really great competition among Ferrari and McLaren drivers during the race. The sprint race was like a spoiler for that and the competition went on during the qualifying also.  Smiley

Please include all the guys on the grid, not just the top 10.

As for the qualifying itself I think the guys who did well in terms of getting the good spots for the package they have is Alonso, Bottas and Ricciardo.  I was expecting it to be a good weekend for Ferrari but we haven't seen it thus far.  But we still have the race and sht could happen for the likely winners Red Bull.

Here's the full result...

Real won and took City's place in the bookmakers' quotes:

Real Madrid - 2.40

Paris Saint Germain - 3.50

Fc Bayern Munich - 3.75

Borussia Dortmund - 10.00

In general, I don’t quite understand why Bayern is rated so much better than PSG (the difference in odds is minimal, although Bayern has the strongest opponent and PSG the weakest).

By the way, due to the fact that the English clubs have dropped out and the German clubs continue to participate, can we forget about a fifth spot in the Champions League for the Premier League?

Think about it from a historical stand point.  Bayern has been playing in the final stages of the CL since almost everyone itt could remember.  :/  PSG is really the new kid on the block in terms of CL football.  And the books do have a looot of data in all these matches, all these players and all these managers' records.  The best we can do to beat the game is looking for the best line possible.

There are some guys who compare lines with Pinnacle's lines as it's supposedly the most efficient bookmaker.  So if you know which team to beat on and you find a line that's better than what Pinnacle has, then that's likely to be +EV.

Max Verstappen spoke to the mics before leaving for the weekend in China, declaring that he has no intention of leaving Redbull.
Do you think it's true or that he only stated it to calm things down after the numerous rumors that have spread in recent weeks?

Wheater update: wet track can be a possibiity

If that's really true then that means the guy who's gonna be given the sack is Christian Horner.  And that also means the possbility of losing him too.  I say yes please.  It's been a while since we've seen some shake up happen in F1 that would change title winning implications.  Imagine Horner and Newey at Ferrari and with Hamilton winning his record breaking WDC under their management...

Making history is something everybody wants to see in sporting events even if it means the team they support loses...  Many people won't admit it tho.

^  Not sure but I think it was due to Sterling getting removed from the rankings at 135 as he's a 145'er now.

As for Poirier, the UFC is giving him his last shot to get the belt.  And imho, he deserves it after fighting a tough match up vs Benoit St Denis.  Everybody counted Poirier out in that one but he proved to be still in the running for a title shot.  He'll prolly retire after the match.

^  In the main event I think it's a tad early for Erceg to get a title shot.  But they have nobody else for Pantoja for the Brazil card.  And yeah...  Was surprised to see Aldo in there at the co main event.  Not sure why Aldo came back, he's prolly itching for a fight.  And it's in Brazil, so why not.  It will make the fans over there happy.  It will also be hilarious of he get KO'd or something.  Cheesy

As for things going bad for the UFC, maybe...  They now have serious competition after the PFL and Bellator merged.  Maybe we'll see Dana White out of the job soon.  Cheesy Cheesy

It will be more hilarious if he starts knocking people out, enter top and title race Cheesy I think we see him only because there are no more big Brazilian names left and ready, that havent fought recently. Wont be smart to add a lot of non-Brazilian fighters for an event that is held in Brazil. Get Spider Silva and Bigfoot Silva back Cheesy Add one Nogueira brother, Texeira, Dos Santos, Machida, Rua, Wanderlei and beat UFC 300 PPV sales Cheesy

You know I wouldn't say Aldo doesn't have a chance to KO Jonathan Martinez.  The guys seems chinny but dunno...  Can't help thinking he is after he got KO'd by Davey Grant.

I guess.  The boomer markets seem to have stopped selling off, it's now just mostly crypto that's still going down.  For what reason, not really sure.  But the thing is it's funny how after all these years a lot of people still feel iffy about crypto and the legitimacy of it.  It's been more than 10 years guys...  Crypto is not going anywhere, esp BTC.

But yeah.  I locked the poll as per tradition.  Rooting for the guys who voted yes.  LFGGG!

74.2% of us here voted Yes that Bitcoin will close above 75k. I think with 12 more days remaining according to my time zone, with the current price estimate still experiencing a decline in the next few days until the halving, it is doubtful that it can close at a price above 75k even though according to Coinglass's monthly return data for April 2023 it is green +2.81%.

Instead of selling, it is better to hold until Bitcoin reaches a price of 100k. I don't know what some people are thinking when they decide to sell because Bitcoin, which I know, has been proven and cannot be doubted.

When exactly was the last halving and what was BTC's monthly performance after the last halving happened?  Pretty sure it was a green month...  We really can't count that one out imho.

So yeah, comparing spring of 2022 and 2023 won't really tell us much but spring of 2020 does.

Anyway, don't fade BTC this year and in the coming years.  Things are gonna get crazy.  And you're right just hold your coins.  If you have 1 BTC, def keep it.  As the years pass by there'll only be a small group of people who'll be holding one whole BTC.  I really regret taking all the time I had here for granted.  I just kept wasting what I had at gambling.

Journalists started talking about the next Chinese GP with their predictions.

there is talk of a Redbull always at an advantage but with a reduced gap on Ferrari, the track seems very favorable to the Italian team.

Ferrari hasn't won in China for a decade, is this really the right time?

I hope so...  I'm mostly an RBR fan but I feel like I've been hating them a lot lately and would love to see them lose against Ferrari.  Lol.  But let's see.

But sports journos usually write something just to get your attention.  Doesn't have to be what they really think.  Some of the time, they're just made up...  I'm guessing the journalists are from Italy?  If yes, that's prolly to make Italian fans more interested in the Chinese GP.

Edit:  Verstappen to win is at 1.05.  :/  Perez next at 17 then Sainz and Leclerc at 31 each.
