https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ravencoin&rdid=com.ravencoin

ravencoin wallet in playstore , just annouce in discord ~
Just installed it. No obvious way to import a private key other than from a backup phrase and the support link is broken. Might be OK in use....

Installed it today, transfered almost 10k coins, and i received them, i saw them in the wallet
now i logged in and i see just 60 coins, the last 3 transactions that i've received from the pool
WTF is going on

mobile wallet from google playstore, previous post suggests it's somewhat broken, proceeds to install it and transfer 10k RVN, 10k RVN lost  - it's logical  Roll Eyes

He said that the support link is broken, not the app

Good practice: new mobile wallets from the google playstore = avoid until proven safe

Yes, but if you still want to try and use: always make a test transaction with a tiny amount first! Remember, you're not testing the network, you're testing the wallet software!

If 1080ti over a year old, it did not cost as much as now.
False : a 1080Ti is more expensive today than one year ago.
A one year old 1080Ti is more expensive today, in the used market, than one year ago in the new market.

lol that's exactly what he said: a 1080ti bought over a year ago did not cost as much as a 1080ti now. Pay attention before trying to refute Cheesy

I had always questioned how smart  contracts are literally executed. The actual individual systems on the market execute these, miners or even something else?

Ethereum uses a virtual machine, the "EVM", to execute smart contracts. Effectively, nodes are carrying out the instructions on hardware lvl. Go check out the white paper for details.

End of year eth : 2500 $

yes on your dreams, ether won't scale... nor the price...

lol sounds like someone is butthurt cuz they sold at $500. Ethereum is already demonstrating scaling past any other blockchain in existence, btw.  Cheesy

Is that right? 0.5 dcr to withdraw from bittrex and poloniex?

That's almost 10 times the value in fiat compared to a btc withdrawal at current prices

I'd imagine that value represents the minimum amount one can withdraw, not a withdraw "fee". I dunno though, I always stake my DCR, so they haven't made their way onto an exchange yet Cheesy

Decred are bittrex insiders/scammers binance don't want the SEC up their ass with the shitstorm about to hit Decred/Bittrex fraud :\ meh

Wrong. You just can't follow instructions, so you're butthurt.  Cheesy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1290358.msg22659558#msg22659558

greed is good.. remember that when the chipmunks come for their nutz Wink

* I SPEAK FOR ALL THAT GOT DEFRAUDED BY DECRED FAKE "AIRDROP" *

Obviously wasn't a scam. You literally proved it by showing us how you didn't follow instructions for airdrop in your email. No one was "defrauded by decred fake airdrop". You speak for no one but your shitty self, and you're not even doing a good job of that.  Cheesy

I think Vitalik's boycott will not do anything and the conference will take place.

Ya, it will likely still take place...but I'm with Vitalik on this one. Coindesk is just another news pumper for Ripple. I stopped frequenting that site for exactly the reason Vitalik pointed out: shitty content, with the occasional blatant scam linked right in.

Once staking starts, I am expecting more and more ethereum will get reduced from market which in turn will increase in price

Is there any firm date for ETH to move over to Proof of stake.   Will it be a total transfer or gradual, mixed mining.    I know some coins mix both, OFW is one I can think of though thats very unknown apparently it can be the case that both methods are used long term.

Im not sure if ETH definitely will goto POS or its just a backup plan left on the shelf and likely wont occur

Still, there is no official announcements from the authorities only people are talking about the POS model. We need to wait for official announcement instead of spreading the news. I hope it is a best plan if they implement ETH in POS model.

No, the Ethereum Foundation have already made plain their intentions to transition the consensus model to PoS. No need to "wait for official announcement instead of spreading news". This has been known for many many months now.

What we are still waiting on, is an announcement with expected date on mainnet. And that will likely be next year. You can see the dev call meeting minutes here: https://github.com/ethereum/pm/tree/master/All%20Core%20Devs%20Meetings

Anyone know of some public APIs for Decred? Something that will give me balances given wallet addresses?

Sure, try: https://explorer.dcrdata.org/

Thanks! Any chance you know of an online public api?  Grin

Please! Everyone holding crypto needs to get yourself a hardware wallet as soon as you have enough funds to cover the cost! It will fuck over so so many asshole hackers, and protect your private keys in exactly these situations.

I agree. However, I believe that the developer should not have a strong influence on the coin. All the same, the essence of the crypto-currency is decentralization. And focusing on the developer contradicts this. I am glad that there are about 400 main nodes in the network. And this without any marketing, airdrop and similar popular things among the many coins with the main nodes (99% of which are scam).
CPU only is about as good as decentralization gets. Focusing on a developer could be bad, but altcoins typically have very few devs unlike other coins which have huge amounts of individual developers submitting their own changes so the team is important to follow. A good coin developing team will not make drastic changes without community support.

Eh, I think Proof of Stake (Burst coin) gets a +1 on the decentralization aspect. Disk space is disk space, but CPU power comes in lots is sizes and efficiencies.

Hello, i just recently login into https://evolution.dcrstats.com/profile and i can't see my total balance.

I've been join the evo since the first time it's launch, and i also got the token. Which is also i can't see it now.

anyone can answer Huh

Hi foxkyu,

Dcrstats Evolution has been shutdown, last live tickets still voting though.
Don't worry, of course your funds are safe. If you have any problems with withdrawals, we will solve it.
Please contact directly via official email: info@dcrstats.com

Is there a tutorial on buying tickets for refugees from dcr evolution? It was such a great service, so thanks for the time it was up, I'd love to keep staking but do I need my PC on 24/7, or can I buy tickets and then leave my wallet offline.

No, you can stake with a pool (just like with Evolution) and have your wallet offline. The new Decredition wallet has a nice UI for buying tickets. You just need to configure it once with your pool info. I'm pretty sure it also has an auto-buy feature, so you should be able to get the same functionality the Evo service offered.

If you decide to stake with the help of a pool though, you actually give away control over your tokens don't you?

No, not at all. All you do is delegate the right to vote to the pool (on your behalf). You still have 100% control of the coins, and at no point does the pool have access to or control over your private keys.

The now-retired Evolution service from DcrStats was different. Using that service did indeed require you to trust the operator, as they technically controlled the coins you deposited to the service. Very much like a typical exchange today.

Hi IncludeBeer,

that is some interesting information as I was completely wrong about it all the time obviously. Does the delegation of the voting right apply to every POS pool or are there also pools where you do give away your private keys?

As far as I know, there are no pools that behave like that. For sure, none of the pools listed here require trust (sharing/giving away your private key): https://dcrstats.com/

The Evolution service wasn't actually its own pool. It was just an application that handled auto-purchasing tickets for you. It just happened to use a PoS pool (of course, so it *could* buy tickets). So it was the Evo service, not the pool itself which you were having to trust when you used it.  Cool

I keep coming back to this thread *hoping* to see an actual discussion on the technical merits, challenges, and risks, but the trolls only want to talk about the IPO funding.
The good news about this thread is that it's helping me build my ignore list rather rapidly =)

You have next to no activity...sounds to me like you're the troll here.

BTW, if you actually were a part of the community, you'd know nothing serious gets real thoughtful discussion on btctalk. You go to the official forums for those kinds of dialogs.

uh guys, what miner are u using?

I downloaded the miner from the OP on a test system, but this is inclusive a virus (backdoor virus), this is NOT an false positive...

I'm mining for over 8 years now but never saw this virus before. The miner on the gettingstarted from suprnova is an other optminer (but without the .exe, so useless).

Please remove the link in the startingpost, because again: THIS IS NOT AN FALSE POSITIVE, ITS A BACKDOOR VIRUS!

Just LOL men, talking about an private coin but having access to al the dumbies in this topic using the virus miner..

False. As in.. yes, it is a false positive, not a "BACKDOOR VIRUS!".  Cool

The price of Ethereum has basically stabilized at more than $500 recently. It is not easy to say whether there is any further rebound.

I think it is consolidating. It is good for the future price rise.

Consolidation is seen through horizontal movement, not peaks and valleys like we're seeing now.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.6 (Windows/Linux) on: April 17, 2018, 05:11:21 PM
using the latest version. Having 6 RX480 and 1 1070 cards.

I used to mine ETH with about 28 MH/s on each card then I switched to altcoins and getting until today a stable 200 MH/s with my 7 cards (28 per card).
Now switched back to ETH and getting only 17 MH/s on my RX480 and still 28 on my 1070 now.
All cards have 8 GB memory.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thx
SJ

Which amd driver version?

using 16.11.5 now. with newer versions it did not recognize all cards.

Use the blockchain driver.

https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-[Suspicious link removed]pute-Release-Notes.aspx

Awsome, dude! back to stable 28.7 on each RX480 with those drivers!
Thank you very much.

I'm using the latest drivers but with compute mode enabled. Only getting ~24.6mh/s on each card. Thats at stock 1306mhz gpu & 1750mhz mem.

How are you getting ~29mh/s?

Your link leads to discussion of the pool in the distant 2015. It seems to me, if it was a fraudulent pool, then it would have ceased to exist long ago.

I agree. I'm mining on suprnova (a few different coins, not just wavi) and am having no issues. Payouts as expected, as configured.
