I don't see any good reason to contact trezor support, unless there was a lost package, device stopped working or something similar.
Apart from lost packages, I'd go with creating a thread on their forum instead. To my knowledge Trezor only holds onto customer ordering info for up to 30 or 90 days I can't remember which.
It's 90 days but they " only anonymize it", as opposed to deleting it [I got mixed feelings about it]! - It's worth noting that the issue we're facing at the moment is about their customer support data (the above data that you were referring to wasn't affected). |

Apart from Bitcoin, you didn't mention which other cryptocurrencies are part of your portfolio, but ideally, you should pick an " open-source hardware wallet [with "secure element and "reproducible builds (it doesn't mean it's completely safe, but it's a good starting point)"]" that supports all of them. The choice between less bad and cheap would be the Trezor model 1.

Bitcoin transactions are happening almost instantly, but the 10 minutes that you were referring to is for the confirmation time [or rather the average time between each block]... Depending on their fees and the network load, it might take you longer before you get the first confirmation. Can bitcoin transactions be accelerated in the future?
Regarding its speed, it can happen temporarily when there's a huge inflow of miners or rather hash rates, but because of the difficulty adjustments [every 2016 blocks (roughly 2 weeks)], it wouldn't last very long. |
