1221  Local / Pilipinas / Re: KAALAMAN SA CRYPTOCURRENCY on: June 04, 2022, 12:49:22 PM
1222  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-06-03] New York just passed a bill cracking down on bitcoin mining on: June 03, 2022, 05:25:16 PM
It does not kick miners out, it just does not allow them to expand unless they are running on 100% renewables.
Maybe not in a direct manner, but it indirectly affects everyone who's involved in this field and personally, I see no reason to stay in a state that clearly doesn't like such operations.

Also, and this is important to think about, in a lot of places in NY you are almost 100% green energy.
You're probably correct, but when you take everything into account, it becomes just one-third of that:

1223  Local / Pilipinas / Re: KAALAMAN SA CRYPTOCURRENCY on: June 03, 2022, 09:31:18 AM
PANO BA TAYO KIKITA SA CRYPTOCURRENCY?
~Snipped~

1224  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GoldxCash.net /Bitcoinxcash.com -Exchange / Physical Crypto Coin "Dealer" - SCAM on: June 02, 2022, 09:22:04 PM
Another year, another set of accounts that promote this annoying scam platform:

1225  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinriders 2.0 is here + survey on: June 02, 2022, 06:59:52 PM
2. predictions by youtubers and members.
Is it limited to five or there's a bug in the "view more" button?
- I do like how easily we can read the description part [by clicking each row] for each of the predictions, but I think it would've been better with an ignore or favorite button for each of the users [not sure if it can be done without the need to create accounts].

Let me  know if you prefer white th

It depends on the time of the day...
1226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-05-02]Wikipedia has stopped accepting cryptocurrency donation on: June 02, 2022, 06:23:57 AM
I assume what this is likely about is that Bitcoin and other crypto started dumping and they could not handle it. So just like a newbie coiner they ragequit and are now pretending like its cryptos fault that they panicked about the price.
I would love to see how they'd react [even though there was already an "easy solution"] when the opposite of this happens in the future [assuming that the above line turns out to be the case].

https://i.imgur.com/EJOZ3mr.png

It turns out that they have stopped accepting not only cryptocurrency donations. It's strange. Does anyone else have the same result after clicking "Donate" on Wiki?
No, they haven't stopped accepting donations as a whole [you just belong to an unsupported region]... Here's the "result" from my end [somehow it couldn't detect my location while using a VPN] and it points towards "this page [archived]".
1227  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wallaz.online - Ponzi scheme on: June 01, 2022, 06:07:39 AM
I have reported all of them. Hopefully, they will all get suspended soon.
One more website is down.
Thank you for reporting them as well... That was surprisingly fast Smiley

I have written a stern reply, with detailed evidence and how if they fail to suspend these accounts then I will be following up with the Justice department of all countries to get their IP ranges blocked since they harbor fraudsters & fail to act upon abuse reports.
I hope your reports would also work for the ones that use NameCheap services [they've ignored most of my reports in the past year and that's one of the reasons scammers love using their services (they rarely take down websites, even if it's quite obvious they were built to scam greedy and tech-illiterate people)].
1228  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wallaz.online - Ponzi scheme on: May 30, 2022, 05:24:07 PM
Did some digging and it appears that the above website was only a small piece of a bigger puzzle [unfortunately]:
- Almost half of them are being hosted in NameCheap (I highly doubt we'd be able to take those down with our reports)!

1229  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning beware of companies where scammers work: Smart chain on: May 30, 2022, 03:59:25 PM
~Snipped~
This scammer is the CTO of this company. Please be careful as the scammer is in charge.
Thanks for the warning [and sorry to hear or rather read about the chargeback part], but it would've been better if this thread had both parts of the conversation [not just Jérémy's part].
- While adding the above thing, you might want to also edit/update your post using the proper "Scam Report Format".

1230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you transact in the real world with your bitcoin or digital money? on: May 30, 2022, 01:06:34 PM
have you guys done it too and what items have you recently bought with bitcoin payments?

How often do you transact in the real world with your bitcoin or digital money?
There's a somewhat known store in my area that sells computer-related stuff and I usually go there a few times a year... Even though it gives me a great deal of satisfaction to be able to directly pay for something with BTCitcoin, they tend to sell their products at a premium [in other words, I only go there if I really have to purchase a product that I couldn't find in other stores].

Maybe I'll also try asking the shop owner if he knows crypto and accepts crypto as payment.
Make sure to approach the owner when other people are not around to minimize the risk [in case the wrong person hears your conversation]!

Many merchants probably don't want to reveal that they accept crypto, because of some sort of "crypto is a scam" stigma, which might hurt their legitimacy.
That's unfortunately true, but perhaps they're also scared of becoming someone else's target...
1231  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: crypTrax - Keep track of your cryptocurrencies on: May 29, 2022, 05:54:07 PM
Good catch!
Thank you Smiley

Wich OS do you have? On my Win11 machine can't reproduce, all fine.
Both of my computers are running on Windows 10 and "here's a short video" that I just recorded on my desktop.
- Just noticed when I'm recording my screen, a double-click is enough to hide the widget bar, but normally it only works with a triple-click.

Update:
Thanks a lot for video! I'll fix this next update.  Wink
You're very welcome, looking forward to it Smiley
1232  Local / Pamilihan / Re: pouch.ph reliable ba? on: May 28, 2022, 12:40:09 PM
I didn't mean to imply na lahat ng mga local exchanges at wallet providers natin were insured [I should've used better words, my bad]... I was trying to point out to the fact na since bago palang ang platform nila, they shouldn't be trusted.

1233  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptocurrency hosting Exservers.net on: May 28, 2022, 10:43:16 AM
Highest Level of Privacy
We know well how important is privacy for you therefore we accept anonymous payment methods like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and Monero.
But the amount of information that's requested on the "checkout page" defeats the purpose of accepting such payments + I only saw BTCitcoin and Payeer [not the other three]!
- I'm not an expert on the other three, but when it comes to BTCitcoin transactions, I don't think we should label them as an "anonymous payment method".
1234  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live - Your Transaction May Have Failed? on: May 28, 2022, 08:59:11 AM
Are you talking about an input that was still unconfirmed at the time Jerry tried to send the first transaction (the 1 sat/vByte one)? But during the time the transaction failed and when he created a new one for 3 sat/vByte, it got confirmed, so he was able to send the second one?
Exactly Smiley

I don't know. I think Ledger Live won't allow you to select UTXOs as part of new transactions that haven't yet been confirmed on the blockchain.
I'm also not sure, but after reading the "last bullet point in the fourth step of this article", I believed it should've allowed such outputs to be used as an input in a new transaction, but perhaps there was a bug of some sort that didn't allow that transaction to go through [I could be wrong].

Another thing that is confusing is the part where the gambling site he was trying to deposit to showed him a different address compared to the one he initially saw. This is rather strange.
Good catch [it's indeed strange]...

Update:
I don't see Jerry changing any of the standard settings without asking multiple times how many other Ledger users in the world have also done it.
This part just made my day Cheesy
1235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: May 28, 2022, 06:57:12 AM
@1miau
Just finished checking the whole list and it appears that more than half of the current list [14 to be exact] already supports displaying Taproot addresses [P2TR], so perhaps we should consider including that feature in the list...
- We can just modify the second column slightly by dividing it into two parts (e.g. Bech32/m or Bech32/Bech32m).

Code:
Blockchair.com
Trezor Bitcoin Explorer
mempool
bitaps.com
BTC.com
chainflyer.bitflyer.jp
SoChain
Blockcypher.com
Coinmarketcap Block Explorer
Blockpath
Blockstream
Insight
Walletexplorer.com
Crystal Explorer

Update:
My bad, wrong colum where I was looking for.  Cheesy
I've fixed it and details are now included.
Cheesy
1236  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live - Your Transaction May Have Failed? on: May 27, 2022, 05:54:56 PM
When i then went to advanced fees on ledger live and put the fee of just 1 Sat...
~Snipped~
but when i went to confirm it on the nano ledger s by pressing the buttons to confirm transaction, i got a message on ledger live that said something like the transaction may have failed and to check something?
I've never used LL, so I have limited knowledge regarding its limitations but perhaps while you were adjusting the fee, you also played with the coin control feature [judging by some of your previous threads] and used a transaction [as its input] that had a "replaceable" status, as opposed to the one you thought it had a couple of confirmations.

Does anyone know why i got the transaction may have failed message before?
As mentioned earlier, none of us can answer this question accurately, so make sure to click "save logs" whenever you encounter such problems.
1237  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Report: PH ranks 2nd in ‘ownership of cryptocurrency’ on: May 27, 2022, 04:02:53 PM

  • A lot could go wrong with wrong sampling strategy and inconsistent sample size!
  • Hindi ako magtataka if most of those who think they own some crypto, are actually keeping it in centralized exchanges or custodial wallets [sa ibang salita, they own nothing]!

^ Total nyan 101.2%.
Nakalimutan nilang isama sa listahan ang Solana kaya it gave the wrong impression [you can have multiple currencies at the same time Tongue]...

With the internet penetration rate of only 68% [as of Feb 2022], sigurado ako hindi ito accurate!
1238  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Lucpey exchanger pretending to be BestChange partner on: May 26, 2022, 07:22:44 PM
Absolutely satisfied with the work of this exchanger - no problems
This may sound weird, but you and your shills no longer appear annoying to me [while you're posting these fake reviews here, you're somewhat contributing to improving the ranking of this particular page in search engines (I do know results may vary for each person, but still...)], so by all means continue Cheesy
1239  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: May 26, 2022, 05:34:50 PM
User: bittrustira2021

- This user commented or rather copied some content from yelp and pasted them into a thread that didn't have any activities in the past month, and while doing it, he/she also changed the order [for some] to make it appear original [luckily @sheenshane already posted a link to that exact yelp listing in the past]!

1240  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: https://www.asicminersvalue.com/ on: May 25, 2022, 04:52:50 PM
SCAM website clooned the original one. They will contact you by email to advertise on their website....payment crypto.
If they've given you an address, please report it to the following websites: bitcoinabuse and scam-alert

I'm glad they didn't use NameCheap [shouldn't take long to take them down (hopefully)]:

Code:
Registrar Abuse Contact Email: registrar-abuse@cloudflare.com
Registrar Abuse Contact Phone: +1.4153197517

I took a look and compared the list of vendors in both websites and saw that these websites aren't in the real asicminervalue, but are in the fake one:
~Snipped~
Previously, all of these websites were also in the original one [proof], but for some reason that's no longer the case [in other words, the fake one (asicminersvalue) forgot to update their list (archived) Cheesy]!
