221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 12, 2022, 11:56:12 PM
I know some but I won't mentioned the name as I don't want to hurt the fans feelings, lol.

I will mention it for you, are you referring to Floyd Mayweather?  Grin

Don't worry about that, we are in a free world, we have the freedom to criticize if we don't like the boxer, besides, they are successful because of us, we watch the fight and we pay for it. Did you know that Casimero beat Mayweather's bro? Kidding.. that was Rigo and  they have the same style.
Boxing sports does have that very main aim or goal which is to hit and not being hit even if it means dodging kind of fiighting style even most fans doesnt prefer on having this kind of fight but
it does surely counts and these boxers do retain that kind of fighting even though they do get some hate and discrimination but they do able to achieve those stats which hadnt been still
beaten up which is amazing on some point and disappointing at the same time. Its true that we could speak things freely since this is a forum after all which
it would really be understandable.

Most of boxing fans want a toe-to-toe fight not a running style. This is why a lot are hating Mayweather's or Rigo's style. When you are watching these boxers, it is dull and boring and too technical. But if we watch like Pacquiao's fight, we were alive and and there was really action inside the ring. I guess, we will miss Pacquiao's fights but who knows, there will be new blood that will replace him. We need boxers like Pacquiao, because it gives true excitement to watch.

Now, Casimero needs to show something here, otherwise, he will slowly lose his fans.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Buntu:Crypto Gaming [NO Pre-mine!] POS & Masternodes on: January 12, 2022, 11:19:42 PM
The contest has begun! Good luck!

Your thread is quite dull but maybe your discord channel has players that will test your game. Aside from this contest, are you going to promote your game outside discord channel? Developing a game is tedious and you also don't know if it will attract interest from gamers or not. Do you think you can compete with other gaming platforms in the future? Or at least get players that may sustain your project.
223  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the best ways to choose a casino on: January 12, 2022, 10:35:18 PM
Hello am new here and am interested in gambling but with the rate of scams casino I am finding it difficult to know the right site that don't scam players?
You are in the right place to find an answer to your question, in this forum a great deal of the best casinos that deal with cryptocurrencies have an official account here, so check this board and see their reputation, how long they have been on business and the reviews different users give when gambling at those casinos.

After you find a handful that you think are honest operations then the rest is just a matter of preference, as we do not know what kind of games you like and some casinos may have a great selection of games that you like, while some other casinos may have a more limited selection.

He is in the right board to check the reputable casinos. However, his thread should be moved to the gambling discussion board - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=228.0.

In this board alone, he will get the idea which casinos are worth to play with. You can easily check the trust summary of the respective admins/owners of the casino and see for yourself if there are red flags.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can i detect new growing altcoins ? on: January 11, 2022, 11:33:50 PM
I started investing in crypto since november 2021, and everytime I open CoinMarketCap i notice that there's a lot of new coins with at least +110% profit if you bought it the last 24h,
The pump was happening randomly and it can't be predicted and by the way those coins are pump and dump coins. You should not need to play with them. They are shit coins with big risk used by the whales to did pump and dump to fool newbies.
and I was wondering if i can detect them before they grow up very fast in order make a lot in a short time. Thank you  Grin
You can't detect them easily as many of them are shitcoins with very low daily trade volume in the market. They can be pumped instantly with small mounts of money. It's quite impossible to be able to detect those tokens. The fact many of them are only short pump and those coins will be going back down again later. Pump and dump coin will always there and it's hard to predict.

Looking for pump and dump coins are really risky because you may end up holding worthless coins if you exited at the wrong time. We know that a lot of people are after for quick profit but if you are not knowledgeable with the coin, better not get involved. It is still better to check out valuable projects like BNB or ETH, as you have the assurance of their market. With new coins rising tremendously, they can also go down hard without a warning.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: an opportunity or preliminary start of bear market?? on: January 11, 2022, 10:05:30 PM
An opportunity for all. Not counting those who have bought at the ATH  Cheesy Could the bear market in 2018 occur or this will simply be just another dip?

I wouldn't really want to figure that out at the moment I hope to be online at the right moment when it bounces again. So many investors looking for this dip opportunity would like to determine when to enter the market so if they think its time, it's this time that they should fill the sell orders.
Those who bought at the peak price can still buy now, it can lower their cost and most probably can at least give them good return once the market recovers, so don’t stop buying especially if you got trapped on top. Don’t wait for the market to rise again before buying, you’ll lose this opportunity and you might regret it later on. Buy now while many are still panicking, this is a good opportunity.
I also think that this huge decline of prices opens a good opportunity to enter the market and start buying potential altcoins and of course bitcoin. This is not the time to panic especially if we have bought cryptos at the top, instead this will be a good opportunity to recover all your losses in the past because when these coins you bought for now will reach their peaks, then we will gain good returns that may add on our earnings.

However, not everyone sees this opportunity. Others are still hesitant to buy knowing the market has still chances to drop more.

Some are hesitant especially those who are looking at their investments in short-term. Because if they have other needs, they can't wait for the market to recover so usually, they will sell at a loss. But for those who are waiting for btc and alts to go down, this is already the time that they are waiting for. If you have strong belief that crypto market will be bullish again, then, you will slowly accumulate valuable coins while they are still in their low position.
226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Bots on: January 10, 2022, 11:51:10 PM
We all know how volatile the crypto market is especially now. I have heard so much about crypto trading bots and their possibilities of automating the trading process and turning folks into crypto millionaires. For some of these bots, the user can program them to buy at predefined low and sell at a predefined high. I’m pretty skeptical about this maybe out of ignorance or just sheer human skepticism for stuff like this. Have you ever used a bot to automate your trading? Do you trust it enough to make the right decisions? If trading bots are as good as they claim, why are folks not using them as much as they should?
I would not say "never" use them, they are still something that you could learn a bit of things from, they are still not that far away from the reality and it is certainly good if you could find a decent bot as well. The main problem that most people forget is that unless you have been using one for a long time and know how to use it then you are not going to even make a profit during the bull period.
I wouldn't say "never" if you know how to use automated trading bots, they are still a useful tool if you know how to use them.
An automated trading bot will not work without you, this isn't a machine that will work and make money for you.  On behalf of you and under your command, a trading bot will work fine.  This is still useful on my side especially when you aren't around facing your PC and monitoring the market price, automated trading bot will execute buy/sell under your command.

Each of us has different perceptions of this automated trading bot system, but when you say they are useless, no, I wouldn't agree.  It depends on how to use it.

This is very right. This is why automated trading bots are not for all traders. Because if they don't know how to use it or understand the use of it, it is useless. You can just stick to the normal trading if you have no idea yet how to use auto trading bots. Because if you got the strategy on how to use, definitely, it will be useful for you when you have no time to attend to all your trading activities.
227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you really predict Bitcoin at this time on: January 10, 2022, 11:13:47 PM
Everyone certainly has a different way of analyzing or predicting Bitcoin prices in the short and long term. However, no one can predict the bitcoin price accurately. Especially in the midst of the current market situation where the price of bitcoin is still experiencing a decline in price.
Well, its really hard to predict the future price of bitcoin if the market alone is already bleeding right now. Just wait for the market to be stable again so we can come up with a good prediction, but it will never be precise for sure. Bitcoin is very volatile, one day its bullish, and the next day it becomes bearish all of a sudden. So there's no way we can come up with its price accurately. But one thing for sure, bitcoin will still have great chances to settle into its new ATH, but for now maybe hodling our bitcoin is the best thing to do.

Even experts can't predict precisely the btc market. This is because a large of factors are contributing to its market performance. You can use the technical analysis but you should not expect that your prediction will be accurate. Also, one good or bad news, sometimes influence the market so fast, you won't even have the time to think about your next move. So even if we say you are a long time crypto user, you can't still precisely predict the btc's price. But you can act on your plans on how market behaves.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: January 10, 2022, 10:11:22 PM
I don't see any reason to make it regulate either in the future as it's decentralized and can not be controllable, so it's a high possibility that the government never wants bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies to become regulated. The most significant fact is mining, and usage of mining has become common, and as everybody wants free money, they'll start earning bitcoin through mining. I believe it makes people lazy and they'll work at home instead of going outside.

Regulation is hard for a decentralized currency. But if the government just want to get a hold of some of its crypto users, they are already doing it by regulating the local crypto exchanges. Because most local crypto exchanges are under the jurisdiction of the local Central Bank. So in some way, they have the picture of what's going on in their crypto community. But of course, it is not the absolute picture because some users will use p2p and other independent platforms. So it is like partially regulated but I doubt they can have a full grasp of the crypto movements. Because they can't. This is why the governments are hesitant towards crypto. They have no way of fully controlling its existence.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will cryptos go into Bull season? on: January 09, 2022, 11:44:53 PM
Cryptos have been counting the ups and downs in a balanced way lately. A coin that increased by 15% today, 2 days later we see that it has decreased by 25%. To what do you attribute this fluctuation?
When will cryptos enter Taurus month? Does anyone have any enlightening information on this subject?
We don't need to be surprised by these huge changes as to whether we like it or not, dumps are inevitable and it strikes in no specific time and like now. The volatility of the market made it so well, it is very interesting to see but is also a cause why people got panic and sell the crypto at loss.

Quote
When can ETH catch up with BTC?
There is nothing like that, When? That even before, ETH has no chance to reach Bitcoin.
Bitcoin will continue to dominate the market and in fact, for so many forks that have been done, nothing had it closely compared to this coin, nothing and that obviously impossible.

As for the question of the OP, no one even the long time crypto users or "experts" will give him precise information when and what coins will perform great in the coming days. There are a lot of factors in play here. So what he can do is keep up with the progress of the coins that he is holding and monitor their price movement. It is hard to suggest what he will do or buy because that's very subjective matter.

And ETH catching up BTC? I don't know what the OP is thinking here. But let's accept the fact that it may not surpass BTC for the time being.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 09, 2022, 10:22:59 PM
Personally, I believe that if a person spends no more than $100 a month on gambling is the first sign that he does not have a gambling addiction and is quite able to control their budget. It happens that I spend $200 on gambling but I always split this amount into two different deposits and do not allow myself to spend more than $100 per day.

I think that is way too much unless your monthly income is $10k+.

You shouldn't allocate more than 5% of your income to gambling. You should treat it as an expense because you are mathematically guaranteed to lose it all given that you play with the funds for long enough.

Would you spend $200 a month on movie tickets?

Probably not.

Have the right mindset.

Based on your monthly income, you can inverse your on gambling. Actually investment in gambling will be made without any contradiction and investigation. So it will purely based on your luck. With a luck, you need to be patience to get a decent amount as your profit all the time.

Honestly, I don't consider investment when it comes to gambling. You can never be sure about the return of your money here. Unless, you are investing on the casino's bankroll where at least you can get some type of dividends. But if you are using your money to play, that's not investing but gambling. And the chance of losing it all is actually high if you don't know how to control your gaming habits.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW] Driyal (Digital Riyal - DRI) مبادرة الريال الرقمي on: January 08, 2022, 11:52:39 PM
Curious here, are you residing in the middle east or is a middle eastern native? Because what I have encountered here, sometimes they will create a specific project focusing like for example in Africa, Asia or Middle East, but they are not living in that area or is a native of that area. They just want to get the audience from that area. Because if you are not residing in that place, would be hard for you to get potential merchants or shops that will use your coin.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which one has a Ethereum-like potential? on: January 07, 2022, 11:50:34 PM
It seems Polygon (MATIC) is superior to the 3 types of crypto in my opinion. Polygon (MATIC) is very positive as it was a few months ago last year to be exact. If Polygon (MATIC) is able to do better than the previous year after the correction occurred, then Polygon (MATIC) will be a good crypto this year.
If I look at Matic in this year, if this year the market correction can be completed in the near future then the coin will very easily pass the two coin memes above it now in the ranking position because the volume is also very close and not so far from the two memes (Doge & Shiba).

But we need more and more projects deployed under MATIC network. In this manner, this will be their good weapon to compete with the fast changing environment of crypto. They don't have to compare with the meme projects because the more solid foundation they have, the longer they will survive. So what they need to do is attract more developers to utilize their network.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can BNB rise to950? on: January 07, 2022, 09:53:20 PM
Bnb has made tremendous change last year, impact is shown on its price cause BSC network try to make themself better & proving more facilities. most of new currency choosing bsc blockchain and comfortable as bep20 token. Binance also get new users daily. Thus bnb market cap is growing as rocket. Now price dump but as far i predict, If flow remain continue, then possible for bnb to raise that price within this year

The good thing about BNB is it is backed by the top crypto exchange. So we know that it is not a crap alt. The possibility of reaching even to 1k is always there but we don't know when. As they attract more BSC users and developers, they will further boost their dominance in the market. And they are continuously adding services on their platform. So for me, even if they are down today just like btc and other alts, it has high chance to boost its price once bullish season comes again.
234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know if current prices are corrected or going to correct? on: January 06, 2022, 10:40:37 PM
If you know the Technical Analysis then you can understand the correct price of an altcoin or token. No one can predict the exact value of a coin for the future. You can just predict the price.

Even experts can't predict the market prices in accurate manner. But you can lessen your losses by keeping up to date with the market. Also, you will get some insights on what's going on with the project if you will follow the social media channels of the coins you are holding. If you see that the team starts to delete their accounts, then, something is wrong going on. Better discard your holdings before they totally disappear even at a loss. So in this scenario, you need to educate yourself by following their updates and news. You can't depend on fud or fake news.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 6 Rare Metaverse Coins Under $0.6 on: January 06, 2022, 07:55:40 PM
I don't care about price is under $0.6 or under any price because token price is not important. Marketcap is important because it will help us to know how much capital is needed to pump a token. Pumps can occur naturally or artificially but it needs capital flow to pump a price significantly.

Projects with marketcap under $10M is more easily to be pumped if they have good products and good marketing. With support from general bullish market, they will pump to the Moon easily.

About GameFi and Metaverse projects, their tokenomics and models of their game modes are important for their sustainability. If their models are unsustainable, their tokens will not be able to maintain price. Gamers will farm tokens by playing games and dump it on free market. Price will be decided by how much gamers dump.

Aside from the marketcap, one should also be aware on the capability of the team behind the project. Do you think the metaverse has strong development team? You will see a lot cheaper metaverse coins but will they survive in the long run? Price is just one of the factors to consider but for me, the main contributor of my decision is how they can implement those objectives into reality and be active in the market in order for them to survive long.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmex is sending a physical bitcoin to the moon in summer of 2022 on: January 06, 2022, 06:21:21 PM
This looks like some cheap sci-fi movie...sending physical bitcoin to moon is waste of resources and sound almost as stupid as Elon Musk sending a car in space Roll Eyes
Official version claims that last man on moon was walking in 1972 and 50 years later in 2022 Bitmex plans to send Bitcoin there, makes you wonder what stopped them from repeating moonwalk for so long.
Real question is how much Bitmex paid for this lame commercial  Wink

That's the point I guess. Bitmex for sure paid good money for this marketing stunt. But definitely, they will get coverage for it and people as gullible as ever, will try to look up about Bitmex (for those that don't know yet), and who knows, they can really attract new users as well as retain their users. Paying good amount of money in exchange of their advertisement to the public. They will be expecting to at least create noise during this event.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 05, 2022, 11:34:20 PM
The year 2021 has come and gone and has left behind some great lessons, most especially as it relates to our economic life and how we balance the sheet at the end of every calendar year. I have drafted my economic plans for the year 2022 and may be interested in learning some lessons from them. The number one thing is to know how much capital I have and how long can I invest in it and what are the percentage profits turnovers, after that, I will look for the right investment to invest in and how much I should invest in it. Then I will try to diversify my investment. I will take less risk this year but make my finances more stable with some skills development.
Always mind off on having savings and make things as less risky as you can or tending to handle out risk on a good manner so that you wouldnt really be putting yourself in much trouble whenever
you do experience losses thats why everything should be planned well so that you wouldnt really be ending up on a disaster in the end of the year. Set goals according into your own capacity
and tend to enhance yourself even more as you do learn when you do go ahead which is an inevitable thing and should be used on your advantage.

Plan according to your financial capability. As much as possible, don't resort to requesting for a loan to address unnecessary needs. Also, as much as possible, aside from digital assets, try to invest also in tangible assets if you can like jewelry or real-estate. Those assets will not disappear overnight. Because with digital assets, you have no assurance that you will get the value you are targeting for this investment. On the other hand, most tangible assets increase their value thru time.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your most anticipated project for 2022 on: January 05, 2022, 08:55:04 PM
I hope people don't make the wrong choice and do a strict filter on what they will trust for investment. Following the trend is a must, but it can be dangerous to enter because of the hype of a project, so be careful.
Choose carefully whatever it is like P2E, NFT or Metaverse

It is hard to identify worthwhile projects if they are still in the early stage of development. With the current hype in P2E gaming platforms, NFT and Metaverse, I am certain a lot of these projects are in substandard quality. And most of them will die down very soon. But if you got lucky with one of them, you will earn good money. So if you want to venture on these new projects, make sure you do your own due diligence to assess the worthiness of the project. Because no one will do it for you.
239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Millennial trading formula on: January 04, 2022, 11:48:31 PM
Crypto trading is getting more and more technical as the days goy, and the formula that worked back then in 2018 is no longer accurate at this moment
More technical? Did people not use a specific trading technique previously? I think there is nothing different with the previous trading but traders may use varied ways in trading. As far as I know, each trader won't use the same way or a fixed technique (strategy). So, it is normal if they have a new technique (strategy) since they must adapt to the current situation of crypto market.

By the way, what do you mean by "formula"? Do you mean strategy? Sure, the trading strategy will be always developing, it can be changed along with the change in crypto market. Also, a trader may try to use a different strategy if they think their current strategy is no longer effective.

The trading strategy deviates from one coin to another because they have different performances in the market. Also, their development progress also differs from each other. So you need to adapt what is applicable to each project as you can't apply the same strategy for all alts. There's no perfect strategy in this market as you are just basing your actions on what you are seeing and observing. There are still underlying factors that traders are not well-aware of. Like we don't know if the team will rug pull or not, or they will resort to pump and dump. So there's really no defined formula in this trading market. It varies from one platform to another.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: Robert Kiyosaki expects a market crash and economic crisis - do you believe it? on: January 04, 2022, 10:58:07 PM
I like how he says "Crash and Depression coming," without not only saying the exact that, but not even saying approximate date. Specially saying it during red market. This is same as saying it will be warmer after cold winter days. If a weather forecaster would come with such info, he will be fired immediately. Robert Kiyosaki is just playing on emotion and advertises his name. His prediction might come true this year, or next week, or in 100 years. I would not pay much attention to his expectation. I would not start stock up on food, or convert all fiat money into gold, real estate, crypto, just because fiat will depreciate.

Prediction with no proper timeline wether on when this gonna happen is just a pure wild guess so I think its better not to take this seriously since we don't really know if he's telling accurate word. But eventhough that is we still need to be careful on our decision making and better be ready if the said things occur so that we will not get hurt on possible crisis that may happen in future.

Basically, everyone can do the same prediction. The difference is that he has some followers. Without timeline and preciseness, I do agree that it is more of a wild guess and with no basis as well. So if you are a user and wants more tangible results, better trust your own instincts and if you are into alts, you should know their background at least. It is not advisable to buy alts if you have no idea what you're buying.
