2201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Adoption, Litecoin Wallets Rated Highest. on: August 31, 2022, 08:11:24 AM
Well if the ranking was based on new wallet downloads, then it is erroneous to correlate it in such a way that it seems Litecoin is the top coin in regards to crypto adoption, because we both know that's not true, i don't really know too much about Litecoin, but i've prolly heard a thing or two good things from its users, and i'm glad quite a lot of people find it useful, but Bitcoin is basically the crypto that has an actual utility globally, that is why its adoption globally is something that is in continuous growth everyday, and sometime down the line, mass global adoption will be complete. Having said that, we can't even verify if this source is authentic and if the information provided is accurate, but it doesn't really matter if they are shilling, those who are knowledgeable still know the truth.
2202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking the awareness of crypto and Btt forum to the youths on: August 30, 2022, 09:29:34 PM
Cryptocurrency is the future, you are doing the right thing by telling the younger generation about it. This forum is not the easiest place to join: there are a lot of articles and topics, and it's easy to get lost here. But the one who is looking for knowledge will definitely find them here
Well, there are many cryptocurrencies, and tbh quite a lot of them are short term and pump and dump coins, and they definitely have no future, Bitcoin is prolly the one cryptocurrency i can categorically state that it has quite a lot to offer globally in the future. Having said that, i don't think the forum is too hard to join, and you can always ask questions whenever you feel lost or don't understand anything, and i'm pretty sure you'd get answered, so newcomers should basically use the search button, as well as create topics to ask questions when they feel the need to, and they'd be just fine here.
2203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: August 30, 2022, 02:33:48 PM
I've made some researches and found plenty of rumors saying that ethereum will dump after the merge and why's that?
Well, do you believe those rumors, when carrying out your research you would do much better to avoid rumors, and instead go for verified and authentic information, in this case you'd have to read what ethereum intend to do actually with this merge, and decide for yourself if it will positively affect their network or not. Having said that, if you are asking this sort of question, do not expect too much from it, users would only tell you what they think, whether verified or not, and more often than not, people will tell you exactly what they have done, for example, those that have sold will advise you to sell, whilst those that haven't sold, will tell you not to; so it is up to you mate, DYOR.
2204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP potential? on: August 30, 2022, 01:22:12 PM
I don’t know too much about XRP to be honest but it seems to be getting a lot of news lately and I just watched a video of some guy saying it can reach $200 by 2030.
One rule of thumb that you should know about is that you should never invest in something that you do not know too much about, i mean, there are a whole lot of resources available for your to research about this coin you wish you to buy and hodl, but you have not done that, instead you want to invest because you watched some guy's video, and he made predictions about XRP, predictions that are quite impossible to happen. Having said that, whilst i don't think XRP will appreciate as high as that, neither do i think they are a good coin for you to invest long term into, i mean, Bitcoin has to be the best option for long term investment, but notwithstanding all of that, take your time and do your own research, and see for yourself if it actually has any future potential.

Frankie de Jong could actually be on a holiday as he said. I understand how it feels as a fan who is expecting a move for a likened player to his team, sometimes we track every move the player makes and in this situation it is indeed no surprise toe either. It is also possible he could be on holiday who knows. It's just two days left before the window closes so any transfer secret he might be keeping will be exposed in no time.
Yeah exactly, we are just two days away from the end of this summer's transfer market, and i am pretty sure one player everybody has their eyes on is Frankie De Jong, the uncertainty surrounding him and his future has made the headlines for a couple of months now, and in two days we'd know officially if he is moving on, or is still a Barcelona player, and what the future holds for him with any of the decision made.

Having said that, i am quite surprised about the talks of a holiday being given to him, though i have not read about it too much, is it family related issues or just time off, i am curious why he would get a time off at this time in the season when the players just returned from their respective summer holidays, and btw Barcelona even have a big match against Sevilla this weekend, it all looks so strange.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 29, 2022, 09:45:50 PM
United started from the bottom but nobody is sure that Manchester united will be in top 4, I know they might endup being in top 6 before the league end. Also I see some Arsenal fans deceiving theirself that they are going to win the league this season, I think that will be difficult for Arsenal, their performance is good but am sure arsenal won't win the league, I know before the league ends they might be in the top 4 but I don't think Arsenal is going to win the league, Arsenal performance is nice this season but am sure they won't continue like this, time will come when they will start losing points, but am sure they will be in top 4 before season will end.
Manchester United have played well in their last two matches, i don't know if they will consistent from now going forward, but if they do, then they prolly have a chance to make it to the top four, but it is indeed going to be very difficult, the battle for a top four finish in the EPL is more like a fight to win the title itself, and this season we have so many teams eyeing a spot from 1st-4th, only the very best and consistent can get in there, and judging by what Manchester United have shown us in previous seasons, they might not make it.

Having said that, you can't blame Arsenal fans for daring to dream that their club could win the title, as it stands they are strong contenders to win it, yes they would drop points, but so will every other team do, they just have to be consistent. City are too strong though, and i do not think Arsenal can be consistent enough to take City's title; well, who knows, they might just go on to prove me wrong.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 29, 2022, 08:17:15 PM
I still think that Manchester United overpaid for this player. There is no way he should be worth €100 million. We have seen Manchester United overpay for a few players before as well. And that did not end very well for Manchester United. I really hope that Manchester United knows what they are doing. Otherwise, this is going to be €100 million lost for Manchester United just like the 80 million loss for Harry Maguire. Taking a look at the current Manchester United team, it's hard to find a player capable of standing out.
Well it is what it is, and that is what the transfer market is all about these days, every club now seems to be requesting outrageous fees for their players just so they can make more money from them, even when such players are nothing close to that valuation, it is a crazy transfer market in football these days, and more often than not the club that is purchasing the player have no choice but to budge at last to get the player they want.

Having said that, Manchester United are a desperate club, and when a club is in that sort of situation, the selling club loves to toy with them and make them pay far more than they ordinarily would have paid, take for example when City wanted to buy Cucurrela and Brighton were asking for too much, just cause City weren't desperate and they knew they would be strong with or without Cucurrela, they moved on from the deal; but Manchester United don't have the liberty to do that, they do not know what is to come for them this season, so they need as much reinforcement as is possible, and sometimes notwithstanding the price the players come in for.
2209  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is suicide the best option? on: August 29, 2022, 07:53:50 PM
The question here is, how can we stop this from becoming a norm?
The thing is, there is nothing you and i (that's if we aren't suicidal), and any other person who doesn't have the thought of killing themselves can do about it, the only people that can stop it from happening are those who are suicidal, those who have the thoughts of taking their own life, you know it all starts from the mind, so if they can open up and speak to someone about their problems, seek counselling and spend time around people they love, then they can get over their problems and start enjoying life again, only they can stop this from being a norm, people just have to open up.
2210  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Only Africans can develop Africa on: August 29, 2022, 07:34:17 PM
Well, one thing i've come to understand is that every country, all of the time put their interest first, in every decision they make or every action and inaction, it is always their country's interest before anything else, as a result of that i'd not blame any country or region for the underdevelopment of another. Colonialism was over quite a long time ago, and all African countries now have their countrymen ruling them, if all through these years they have pursued the interest of their nation, in regards to development and other whatnots, they'd definitely be in a better place right now, but for African leaders it has always been about their own selfish interest, and for as long as that continues, there would hardly be development in that region; all i can say is that it is time for most parts of Africa to stand for good leadership or absolutely nothing else.
2211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Curious Question About Making First or Second Page on a Thread on: August 29, 2022, 06:59:13 PM
The first and second page gets all the attention. It also contains sometimes the best brains and best contributions. A spammer would always avoid the first and second thread pages because he can be easily dictated. The first two pages also attracts the highest merits.
Whilsts that might be true in some topics, it cannot be generalized as it all depends on the topic/subject that is being discussed, as well as the users that are participating in the said discussion, there are threads that garners attention right from the first page to the last, and by last i mean down to the fourth page and even more. Mind you too that the best brain/contributor to a topic can make their first post on it in the 3rd or 4th page or even more, like i said in my earlier response in this thread, how much time you have to yourself per day in RL determines how quick you respond to a topic, the most knowledgeable person about a particular subject might be busy in RL when that topic is posted, and when they are less busy to join in the conversation, it has already gone past the 2nd page, and despite that, their reply remains a constructive and quality one.

Having said that, mind you that spammers still make posts in the first pages of new topics, they don't care what you think about them, they just say whatsoever they want and move on; you might be correct in the aspect of merits because only few people read a thread above the second page or so, but again there are exceptions based on the subject that is being discussed and how the discussion progresses.

If you dey view the good side of internet try to dey checkmate the negative side also. We no fit argue say internet no bring better thing ooo but na so e take come with bad bad things to the extent that some people rely on internet to carry out their evils. For me na 50/50 sha cuz e don make many of us lazy for real life.
Bro na so everything they for this life, e no get anything wey get only advantages, disadvantages must they too, the only thing wey they important be say make the advantages pass the disadvantages, and in the case of the 'internet', na the advantages choke pass oh, the disadvantages wey they am is caused by people wey they abuse am, and you too suppose know say everything wey they this world must be abused by some people in one way or another; if you carry Bitcoin now give example, the network na very wonderful thing, but some people they use am take steal money so them no go catch them, but because of that you no fit talk say Bitcoin no good.

Apart from cohesiveness, Arsenal also has a strong mentality this season they continue to build it in every match, now is Arsenal the main candidate for the title? I know it's too early to say but what we saw in the last 4 games is proof that Arsenal are starting to gain consistency
Quite rightly, and after 4 games who can say they aren't title contenders, i for one wouldn't have said that at the start of the season, but c'mon, they are top of the league after four games, so they can be called title contenders at this stage, maybe as the season goes on into its later stages and they start to drop points often and fall off the top spot(s), then you could prolly said they aren't title contenders, or champion material, but for now, they are.

Having said that, Arteta and his boys have a lot of work to do to maintain their consistency, and to further work on their mentality if they are to challenge City this season, that isn't an easy thing at all to do, City are comfortably EPL champions on anyday, thus if they are to reliquish their title to anybody, that team must be a consistency monster all through out the season.

Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Leicester City's 21-year-old French centre-back Wesley Fofana, with the fee believed to be £70m. A lot of money for Fofan, does he deserve it?
That is quite a lot of money for Fofana, and tbh i don't think he is at all worth anything close to that valuation, but i understand Chelsea, they desperately needed a center back, and whilst the transfer market was drawing to a close, the desperation increased, and this played quite well into Leicester City's hands, as they then capitalized on Chelsea's interest to slap an outrageous fee on their defender, smart move from Leicester City, but then the transfer market is really becoming something else, but i guess it is what it is.

Having said that, that is twice now that Leicester City have received a really huge sum of money for a defender, first it was Maguire, and now it is Fofana, i just hope Fofana's time at Chelsea is nothing like what Maguire is going through at Old Trafford. Grin We'd see how well he does at Stamford Bridge, he seems like a decent player though, but definitely not worth that much.
2215  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: August 27, 2022, 06:51:35 PM
There’s what we call national dignity, everyone who took our national matter to hold meetings in a foreign land has betrayed our country.
Don't you think you are blowing things out of proportion here bro, to betray the country will take way more than just holding meetings outside Nigeria, take for example, APC have betrayed Nigeria because when they were voted in to lead the country a couple of years back, quite a lot of people had high hopes and aspirations that they were going to be the "change" we so wanted, but it has been the complete opposite since then till now, they have taken the country many miles backward, and the state in which we are in now is prolly the worst in our history. Now that is what you call a betrayal.

Having said that, i respect your opinion that they prolly should hold their meetings within our shores, and whilst i don't think it matters too much where they discuss issues of national interest, i also do not think you are wrong with your own opinion. Prolly that location was the best place all parties could convene at, maybe if it were held at a specific location in Nigeria, some of them might have turned down the meeting for security and personal reasons, thus if they can get a venue that will be convenient for all parties and ensure attendance is complete, then there is no problem with that for now. Don't worry, let us just work together and get our country back, then we prolly might not have to go anywhere to hold meetings of our national interest.

Arsenal game with Fulham on Saturday will be Arteta's 100th game as their manager and tbh when he started, critics believed he'd be dropped by the board but he's proven to be exceptional and I believe he'd lead the Gunners to carrying titles.
The game would be a walk over for them and although Fulham have been impressive in last games, they would find it difficult to beat Arsenal.
A phenomenal feat for Mikel Arteta as a manager, sweeter for him because Arsenal is also a club he played some of his best football in, so doing it both as a player and a manager adds the spice to it, so congratulations to Arteta. Well, quite a lot of people thought he wouldn't make it out of last season as Arsenal manager, especially during the first months of the season when Arsenal were pretty bad and sitting in the bottom half of the table, he was able to rescue the team, and if not for their capitulation in the final 3 games, they should be playing champions league football this season.

Having said that, Fulham aren't going to be an easy test, mind you that they (Fulham) have started very well this season, they drew with Liverpool in their first game of the season, they also have a very brilliant striker in Aleksandar Mitrovic, and i am pretty sure he is going to give the Arsenal defenders a really tough time. Don't get me wrong, of course Arsenal are the favorites to win, but Fulham are not going down without a fight, remember the smaller teams this season are giving the bigger teams a good run for their money, Leeds beat Chelsea, City had to struggle to get a draw with Newcastle, Palace and Fulham drew with Liverpool, Brighton and Brentford beat Manchester United, so it could be that season this time around were smaller teams don't back down, but fight.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 26, 2022, 02:30:59 PM
Manchester United reported interested to bought Real Madrid player Marco Asensio and Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed this rumour that Asensio apparently will looking for new clubs because he lost his place on starting line up and only being an the substitution for Rodrygo Goes so Asensio targeted this summer he will have new club and if Manchester United serious want him the price tag already published that they have to spend 35 millions Euro to get this player
If this is true, then it is an interesting prospect for Manchester United, whilst it is certain that Asensio has lost his place in Real Madrid's team, as a matter of fact there wasn't a time in which he was a regular starter in the team, but in the past two seasons or so he has greatly struggled for playing time, tbh, i expected him to have left the team earlier than now.

Having said that, if Asensio has decided to move on, and Manchester United are interested, then it is perfect for the two parties, Asensio needs a team he can play more often, while Manchester United needs more quality in their team, so it works well for both of them. Manchester United and Real Madrid have already done a successful business this summer with the transfer of Casemiro from the Bernabéu to Old Trafford, thus they might find it easy to get this Asensio deal over the line, i hope it isn't just rumors anyway.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 26, 2022, 01:39:25 PM
Regarding tomorrow matches i'm not too excited to bets for the favourite teams because i was slightly dissappoint to see the recent odds for Manchester City and Liverpool that the bookmakers provide low odds for them @1.1 each and this aren't profitable options although probably both of teams will win the match and i expect higher odds although Liverpool and Manchester City will play against weak teams which is on the paper they probably will easily to win the matches
Lol, if it were possible we'd all want bigger odds for the big teams when they play smaller teams in the league, so we could prolly stake quite a lot of money on it, but it definitely doesn't work that way, the bookmakers have to make profits for themselves, and they have to decide the odds based on both teams win/lose/draw probability. City have the greater chance/probability to beat Crystal Palace tomorrow, and Liverpool too ought to beat Bournemouth, so quite rightly they should have smaller odds, whilst the smaller teams get the bigger one.

Having said that, you can stake very high on them for it to be profitable, Grin that is of course if you are sure that they'll win, lol. Or you could put your money on the smaller teams since anything can happen in football. Grin This is exactly how sports betting is, it is quite risky whichever way you look at it, and there are no guarantees or assurances.

Clubs like Chelsea have being on a downward trend since the management crisis started during the Russian invasion of Ukraine and that has pushed the former club owner to sell the club, so since then the performance of the club has not been the same as previous years back. This performance if not improved on will lead the club to a potential relegation zone.
Whilst i think Chelsea can definitely play better and that their performances do not match the lofty standards they have set in England, i think you are exaggerating things here to insinuate that Chelsea could potentially be in a relegation battle, if you are truly a football fan who follows the EPL and the CL as well as other football tournaments, you'd know that what you just said is impossible.

Having said that, Chelsea definitely have to improve so they could either challenge for the title or earn themselves a slot in the champions league next season, anything short of that would be a failed season, except of course if they can make up for it by winning the champions league itself this season. Imo, i think Chelsea are over their ownership problems, they have a new owner now, he has invested heavily into the club, so it should all be good now, and the players have to start doing well when they step out on the pitch to play.

I feel he has become lazy than what he was used to. He used to be so good and so much talent but don't seem much in him now. Turkish league seems like a decent league and hopefully he can develop and still make his way back again into a good team and proper game time.
It was pretty clear to see that Dele was really struggling, it seemed like he had lost his zeal to play football, there was minimal effort from his to try and work hard so he could perform better, thus it was obvious that his career was slowly going down; Spurs tried to cope with him and maybe give him time to start playing much better, but it wasn't working, next was at Everton, he was ineffective for all of his time at Everton, and it was pretty obvious that sooner rather than later he will be shipped out. Having said that, now that he has left the EPL and its spotlight, Dele has a lot of work to do, he should concentrate on his game and try to bring out the best in himself, that is the only way to return to the previous level he attained.
