2221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Old Trend vs New Trend vs Unsustainable Bubble ??? + "6 Step Pattern Analysis" on: November 02, 2013, 06:15:48 PM
Its either early or late majority and it depends on how much value bitcoin really has. I'm thinking late majority, otherwise the price would already be much higher. Too many wealthy people know about it to not have pushed the price in to the thousands, if it really belonged there.

I have coworkers and friends who have brought bitcoin up to me... 2 of them miners and one of them with an ASIC order. Those who I have talked to about it agree for the most part its a niche thing. Few want it, even less need it.

If it's a niche thing that means we're definitely not in the majority phase yet. If it remains a niche then it simply won't reach the majority at all. This is a possibility ofcourse, but if it does reach out into the mainstream (majority) then the current value will seem like absolutely nothing.

its all relative. if only 0.01% of people in the world will ever use it, and the last person learned about it tomorrow, thats still a "laggard"

we will see this trend accelerate until a we reach majority in the adoption curve:

I just want to point out that volatility will become smaller when more prople buy and hold.

Where in the curve are we now ?

Entering late majority.

65k ask -> happiest man on planet for about 2 seconds.
2225  Economy / Speculation / Re: What! btc-e leading in volume. on: October 27, 2013, 02:52:10 AM
You do understand arbitrage trading?
Its instant cash, the more you invest the larger the profit.

On the other hand the rate hasnt moved much.
Maybe they are going Chinese style and modifying their API.

There wouldnt be 20k coins on BTC-E to arb.
2226  Economy / Speculation / Re: What! btc-e leading in volume. on: October 27, 2013, 02:46:26 AM
Whats so surprising about that?
They are 20%+ below Gox obviously there is some arbitrage trading going on.

...arb traders... dont make 20k of volume.. lmao
2227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 27, 2013, 01:45:15 AM
When was tehre a 10k dump? I dont remember that.

Biggest thing was like a single 4k sell at like $150.
2228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 27, 2013, 12:10:36 AM
Looks like someone is needing to capitulate some serious coin but there was no support to do it at higher levels. (the entire rally was actually contingent on nobody selling). So we have entered a multi-phase "btc-rocket" as I would lovingly call it because it increases my btc.  Grin

Phase 1: Flashcrash.
Phase 2: Slow and steady dump on low volume.

Phase 3: Slow and steady dump on real volume. You see 5K dumps now.
Possibly a phase 4 of final capitulation at high volume.

It ends when you seea high volume day of consisteny huge blocks/walls/buys of support at one level. It's not just going to creep up into a reversal on low volume like we are all hoping last night. (I must admit it was a moment of truth even for me, with both my buy and sell buttons engaged).

Huh? I cant understand. You think someone is trying to dump? Why?
2229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 26, 2013, 08:53:12 PM
if we don't see some buying soon, we will crash; target 168

no one wants buttcoins
2230  Economy / Speculation / Re: What! btc-e leading in volume. on: October 26, 2013, 04:25:30 PM
Really odd, but I guess the only possibility is fake volume [incl. bots gone mad]. No way for 40k on that depth.
2231  Economy / Speculation / Re: What! btc-e leading in volume. on: October 26, 2013, 05:55:02 AM
Seems fake. Cant have 40k volume on that depth..

Or is BTC-E the one with dark pools or whatever its called?
2232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sudden new largest bitcoin address as of 10/25 on: October 26, 2013, 04:35:54 AM

IF they put all their coins up for sale right now, what would the price drop to?

They could put $3million worth on bitstamp and the price would be $0.01/btc.
They could put $17million worth on mtgox and the price would be $0.01/btc.

So they would completely crash bitcoin.

?Thats bullshit.

A 300k sell is needed to take the price below $0.50 on Gox.
2233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sudden new largest bitcoin address as of 10/25 on: October 25, 2013, 05:08:15 PM

Holy shit!

I hope we see them get sent to gox, bitstamp, and china lmfao

Anyone willing to call a bottom?

A local bottom or the bottom or the big bottom (of this bearish market)?

big

We haven't tested yet the low of 50.01 so .... have fun with speculation  Cheesy

What is going to be the bottom price? I more or less know it (with +7 / -7 USD precision range).

When is going to be the big bottom? I more or less know it (with a monthly precision).

Will I tell you at what price and when the big bottom is going to be? No  Grin

What I can do is I can make a private call to a selected individual here and this individual will reveal the call a few month after the bottom is hit. Would that be okay?

If I were you I would sign up with a good technical analysis forum and take lessons there.

Huh Wink Grin Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Just tell me, I'll let everyone know if you were right.

1800BTC bidwall in China... although its under 1,000 CNY.

Gox just continuing a slow drop.

I think everyone is just waiting on $175.
2238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sudden new largest bitcoin address as of 10/25 on: October 25, 2013, 02:41:51 PM
Looking back in the transactions a bit, these go back to some old addresses...

Im no good at digging this stuff, but.. what might that mean?

Example: https://blockchain.info/address/1M2TBBkAESfiyKsmqDKsLxD6oC4bvM8WQx

Looks like a bunch of 10k+ addresses fed this one.
2239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sudden new largest bitcoin address as of 10/25 on: October 25, 2013, 02:36:33 PM
So what is the reasoning for the 354BTC transactions?
2240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 25, 2013, 02:34:48 PM
Bubble popped  Sad and I couldn't cash out during the week.

I'd say it half-popped Smiley

Am I the only one expecting someone to buy in to the awful depth, maybe to $200 or more?
