I was gonna say this at 2735 but had to go make me a BLT, but.. I think that was it...

Bid sums lookin too good on Huobi for any more dropping.

Huobi is notorious of suddenly waking you up from your low volume trance by violently smashing deep through everything you thought was a support and more and weeks of up candles are erased with a single down candle.

Huobi is awesome at that, and they can do it both ways, down, and up.

I'll be sad when (if?) they're gone.

(edit, actually I guess it was btcchina that did the up stuff, so perhaps amend the above statement as a generalization of chinese exchanges.)

(second edit, hmm, why the other exchanges not following? are we finally reaching the bottom? I remember it took a long time before other exchanges stopped reacting to gox.)

Agree with both of you, Huobi can be very violent and walls there tend to be eaten quicker than they would in other markets.

Rumors , rumors but whenever I hear about the importance of China I feel like puking.
It was a pump based on fake volume and assumptions.

And what is worse , right now people believe that without China we should go back to 100 and ignore every progress made from last autumn.
Actually it is only the koalas who say that.  Real grizzly bears believe that the jump of April 2013 was due to China too (specifically, to Bobby Lee taking over BTC-China), so this is what will happen when China withdraws:

(Actually that is still a rather timid Grizzly because it assumes that the exponential trend before April 2013 has not been affected by MtGOX, Neo&Bee, SilkRoad, etc.)
 Grin

Whoever has the thought process behind this chart is just stupid. For this to happen, every coin that was bought since April '13 would have to be sold to bring it back down. Oh wait, we have more fiat on the bid side to keep it from going back that low. Oh, and what about all the people that bought since then and are hodling. So yeah, this is pretty much impossible (unless extremely bad news comes)

PS. Im all in now so CCMF

The chart is extraordinarily stupid, but nothing makes double digits impossible. Theres something like 15mil coins now. Very, very easy for double digits.

Massive wall put up on bitstamp at $450. Bears are getting desperate!

Are we watching the same charts? 300BTC isn't what I'd call "massive".

Yeah, and its been there the whole time lol. (around 2 days old)

Doesnt look like this tiny rise is going anywhere...

China volume should jump in abt. 2 hours so we will see then I suppose.

He didn't edit it. Pretty sure that is the image rpietila originally posted. Your second image is the one that was found after people started checking it out.

Uh, right, I didnt understand why rpietila would edit the picture of his estate.

I checked back a few pages and didnt see that image posted but ok then.

China broke 2800...

ps. a huge chunk of BFX bid sum is one single entity:

They are all 261.9BTC staggered bids.

1454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: May 08, 2014, 12:09:38 AM

The good part of this is that the wall was previously at $580 and had been there for awhile. So, the ask sum has overall dipped 1:1 with this sell. Thx for clearing the path buddy Tongue
1455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the hell are Chinese Bitcoiners still trading on Chinese exchanges? on: May 07, 2014, 04:03:03 PM

Did China just eat ~2.5k ask wall???
I saw two walls a few CNY apart, each ~1400 BTC.  I believe they were eaten in one gulp each.
Did China just eat ~2.5k ask wall???

>3k
Did China just eat ~2.5k ask wall???

yes. but sell orders are bigger than buy orders, likely meaning smart money is sellng

Ah, well, here the asks keep piling on!

Another 1.2k+ asks in ~10min.
