So I cant get the wallet for this coin to work at all. First I noticed I had an outddated version (1.0.1 or something) getting stuck at block ~50000 and updated it with the one on the first page of this thread. After trying that for a couple of hours, I found out that one is outdated (stuck at ~30000) and got 1.0.3.. which wont even work at all. It just freezes every time...?

you must delete the blockchain file

Ah that worked, thanks.

I smell $600
1385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 28, 2014, 03:08:50 AM
I really want the bitcoin price to skyrocket. I am saving up for a triple monitor setup and right now i have ~0.23 BTC, and I want the price to be at LEAST 1000$ when I cash out, until then, I won't be cashing out, and I will be left with less money to spend...

0.23BTC @ 1000$ won't even buy you 1 really good monitor. Why would you need 3 monitors to watch the price?
$230 = .23BTC = 1 Korean 27" 2560x1440 IPS monitor... ? (if you are lucky)

So you need it to be more like $4000.
1386  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 28, 2014, 02:17:40 AM
Looks pretty tame... no momentum behind this. Someone just got sick of looking at that wall, impatient for $600+

Yup; but if China pushes up a bit then it might become a bit more interesting. Right now they arent doing much though Tongue (But they do have a growing bidwall on 3600)
1387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 28, 2014, 02:01:55 AM
Can someone help me understand the BFX vs Bitstamp orderbooks? They are clearly shared. But why are only certain bids/asks shared?
1388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 28, 2014, 01:57:25 AM

Its seriously better than TV when there is action... lol

Someone really wants some BTC   Shocked Shocked

Bid is at $579.8 now haha, just about to eat that wall..

EDIT: And it grew to 324B

1391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 27, 2014, 03:17:24 AM
Price is looking very good as for a Tuesday Smiley

Another day with a rally I predict +%35 i next 12h.

 Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

35%? Thats a big move! I would be happy with a tenth of that!

Quick analysis yields that a big move up starting in the next 36hrs would fit the trend...

For those of you keeping score, Mmitech decided to pull out of our bet from yesterday. He asked me to prove I had ownership of the 20BTC by moving it to a wallet which I did. However, when I moved it back out of that wallet after confirming, he said that I had to keep it there for 7 months - the reason I didn't want to take the bet in the first place - and then he said he was cancelling the bet and wanted to anyway.

While I am disappointed that again bets on this forum are always cancelled for some reason or the other, I thought I'd pass on the information and let it go. No hard feelings.

What was the bet again? Something with LTC hitting $100? I would bet against that happening..

As stands, it seems like $585 is the mark that we need to break through before we can even start thinking about $600

I dont follow..

BFX $587.9 (3hr high 590.3)
Bstamp: $585.6 (3hr high 587.5)
Huobi: $582.6 (3hr high 584.83)

I also love that chart and hope for the best, but I want it NOW!!!
1395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 27, 2014, 01:20:42 AM
We can do this!...what if we can't do this?

Come on China, "The whole world is watching!"

The Chinese have it so easy, if they go up everyone follows... if US markets go up, China likes to twirl its hair for awhile and confuse people lol.

I think its gonna get ugly this week Undecided

Hmm, ok, maybe a flood of money will come in the next few days Smiley

1398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Willy Report...What do you guys make of it? on: May 26, 2014, 10:43:33 PM
i feel like this was all pretty much common knowledge to those on the forum/reddit months ago. i remember reading all about it in the "speculation" subforum shortly after MT Gox shut down and the market crashed.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that it was common knowledge (which is why it was all speculation), but (correct me if I am wrong), nobody to this point has presented the data as detailed and broken down as this report does.

I've never even heard of the "bot buyer" theory @MtGox until now, so its FAR from common knowledge even amongst those "in the know" of bitcoin.
1399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 26, 2014, 09:05:57 PM
I think it should be interesting to see what happens in a few hours when China wakes up.

I sure hope its up Smiley

Asks have mostly leveled off on stamp but so have bids..

Still, the orderbooks look much more bearish than they did before.

So today is the official end of bubble day. And this is being declared on the basis of one posting on the internet. Quel dommage. Let's reevaluate at the end of the season.

If human psychology and herd instinct is such an important factor in market behaviour, it's quite possible that this pattern is now hard baked into the BTC cycle.
That willy report is ridiculous. I agree that the November runup could be attributed to some extent to the Willy bot and these fake buy orders, but the Feb-April runup in 2013?
He basically delivers no real evidence for that. The author of this report basically wishes that BTC will just stop bubbling.
Unfortunately, he will be disappointed to see that bubbles are most often caused by mass psychology, e.g sheep panic buying. We haven't seen that last bubbles!

Oh, and what a convenient timing to release that report, after BTC gained like 30% value in a matter of a few days. Nice.

Also, lmao @ "some extent" more like 90%+ of the rise was fake bot money.

Ok. You are officially an idiot.

Looks like you fear the truth  Grin
