You missed out the major chunk of BITFURY miners for August Delivery and 100 TH that will be coming online by end of August or Early September.
That itself will be close to 200 - 300 TH.
100TH was hit by a major production setback and will not be online for probably at least another 2 months.
Their multi layered PCBs turned out to be missing a few layers
Link? I haven't paid much attention to them cuz I didn't think they would be up anytime soon, but that sounds hilarious.

I'm the Canary... a little bird told me...  Grin

memory checks fine.

re-installed, same behavior after a while...

I think I'm gonna give up on this one...  unless a developer wants to investigate, I think all of trouble shooting has been exhausted... bummer.
I don't think you've properly ruled out your hard drive.  You said it was "fine", but didn't specify how you came to that conclusion.  Have you run a disk check on it?  What does the SMART data show?
I have run chkdsk... and the smart tools don't indicate that there's an issue with the hdd...

What's your deadline for this group buy? I have to wait for my limit to clear on btcQuick before I can have enough coins to make a complete purchase otherwise, I can just go with what I have. Thanks!
There's about 700 USB miners left for shipping in the first batch.. So depends how brisk the sales are...
But I've already ordered hardware for the next group as well.
2231  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 100 TH/s jump today on: August 14, 2013, 03:51:36 AM
The 100Th/s bitfury operation in Kiev failed.  The boards were no good.
The jump was probably them coming online and crashing.

2233  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] batch #20/21 .31 - .35 btc for USB miners & 10.25 blades - USA only on: August 13, 2013, 11:52:21 PM
How I did it.

1. PAYMENT STEP.
I got enough BTC into my local Bitcoin-Qt wallet for the purchase of 5x ASIC Erupters, which Canary is selling at 0.31 per at THIS TIME. I sent the payment and it asked me to pay extra 0.0002 BTC for transaction. I clicked OK and it went through. After some time I went into Transactions tab in Bitcoin-Qt, right clicked on the -1.5502 transaction and selected show transaction details, which gave me Transaction ID:

2. ONLINE NOTIFICATION OF PAYMENT STEP
I posted in this thread per Canary's instructions:

BorisAlt; 5; 1.55; 15aJAPshhWsNJRYx4FnjYPd9fer8XM1cNT

The 15aJAPshhWsNJRYx4FnjYPd9fer8XM1cNT was the address that I use to receive my coins from other sources (more on this later).

3. PAYING FOR SHIPMENT STEP (optional, if you don't want to pay BTC for shipping)
I went to USPS and selected Ship a Package --> Print a Label:

Navigated to specifying address. Note, check the box to specify ZIP code to ship FROM ANOTHER ZIP CODE:

A few clicks later related to weight and size and shipping options and entering my credit card info, I got a window to print or save it as PDF. I saved it as PDF.

4. ASSOCIATING YOUR PAYMENT ADDRESS WITH YOUR PHYSICAL MAIL ADDRESS
Followed previous instructions on signing a message (physical shipping address) with my (bitcoin) address.
Will repeat briefly, that's what it looked like in my case:

Clicked "Sign Message" and got green confirm that it was done. Note, it creates a Signature at the bottom.

5. NOTIFYING CANARY OF ASSOCIATION BETWEEN PAYING and PHYSICAL ADDRESSES STEP:
Sent an email per instructions to canary.btc@gmail.com containing the following:

1. 15aJAPshhWsNJRYx4FnjYPd9fer8XM1cNT
2:
----start below------
Same address as in the Signed message from previous step
----end above-------
3: LongAssSignatureString...RFfQ3koovqa0Hr9xfIJTk7lMKmFIOlk3fO4FZ11tzHeOT51Hfo=

6. FINAL STEP, SEND SHIPPING LABEL PDF TO CANARY

I sent another email to Canary's canary.btc@gmail.com, this time attaching PDF from STEP 3 and the following body:

d9192cc3d48721355e897317d6164be6702b5d26bd38e613fc1b973a7c157a7b (from STEP 1)
15aJAPshhWsNJRYx4FnjYPd9fer8XM1cNT (sending/receiving bitcoin address)
940550XX9930002541XXX (USPS tracking number from shipping label PDF from STEP 3)
LongAssSignatureString...RFfQ3koovqa0Hr9xfIJTk7lMKmFIOlk3fO4FZ11tzHeOT51Hfo= (from STEP 4)

What confused me by far the most was, what was my "sending address"? I receive botcoins with 15aJAPshhWsNJRYx4FnjYPd9fer8XM1cNT, but is it the same as my "sending address"? It turns out, Canary's instructions had the explanation but it was a bit too vague for me. He stated, "first sending address", which I was able to discover right here:

http://blockexplorer.com/tx/d9192cc3d48721355e897317d6164be6702b5d26bd38e613fc1b973a7c157a7b

It turns out that my sending address is the same one as my "receiving address". It may or may not be true for you, but for me it was the case since I use the same address for receiving bitcoins. Regardless, first address from  blockexplorer associated with the transaction should be provided on second line. The blockexplorer site also verifies that indeed 1.55 was transferred from my bitcoin address to Canary's bitcoin address:

It all really makes sense, but getting their is confusing at first. Once you did it once, it's super super easy and fool proof.

Thank you.

Boris!!! you just made my life easier!! thank you, I'm going to add 3 free USB miners into your shipment for writing this up!!!

another way to look at bitcoin is that it's nothing but a ledger system, so that the btc are sent from addresses that actually have funds... those in accounting can probably explain this better than me...  here's a good video if you haven't seen it yet: http://casascius.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/i-made-a-video-as-a-reply-to-ron-paul/

here's another link to your transaction via blockchain, it's more visually "pleasant": https://blockchain.info/tx/d9192cc3d48721355e897317d6164be6702b5d26bd38e613fc1b973a7c157a7b

I'm using Bitcoin-QT for linux which is using Qt version 4.6.2.  Somewhat different than earlier versions or windows versions, this provided me no means of messaging to include the USPS tracking number.  In fact with a couple of receive addresses I wasn't sure what address the wallet sent the BTC from and only found that for sure looking at the transaction ID on blockchain.info.  So, how do I sign the USPS tracking number.  My PM to the gmail address included my name and address and the attached USPS label has exactly that although the return address has my name above the CanaryInTheMine company name and address.  How do I sign the USPS tracking number or is it even an issue with all the data in that one message?
there's probably info somewhere on forums or maybe someone here can help you by pointing to a guide on how to sign it with your particular setup.

I absolutely need a signed message to proceed with an order: we've had attempts from people to claim a transaction that belonged to someone else.  that won't fly here since I verify every order and the reason why I don't have too many more attempts by scammers but as order volumes go up, they think I'll blink and they can sneak one in...  not going to happen. you wouldn't believe the "dog ate my homework" stories trying to explain why it's their transaction even though they can't sign a message with it...  (and before you misunderstand me, I'm not saying that you are a scammer! plz don't go there. I'm just explaining this).

the purpose of the signed message is to protect the buyer. the seller is protected by virtue of the buyer being protected, not the other way around...

some wallets can not sign, which none of you should use by the way... get a modern wallet! Smiley

there are 3 ways to resolve this:
1. you find out how to sign a message and sign it.
2. you import your wallet into another wallet like blockchain and voila!! you can sign a message for the transaction you have sent.
3. I can refund your payment back to the sending address and you  can then forward your funds to a wallet with which you can sign.

let me know, thanks!

Hi. I'd like one as a novelty item (doubt it would every pay for itself..yadda yadda) so how much for shipping to Canada?

for novelty, I can ship it as USPS first class for about $6.06 to canada
2237  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] batch #20/21 .31 - .35 btc for USB miners & 10.25 blades - USA only on: August 13, 2013, 04:27:01 PM
Okay, first time creating a shipping label outside of eBay.  I created a USPS account, but when I'm about to create a label, it has my address for the return address.

So how does this work?  To and from my address?
I did that too but it will ask what zip code will it ship from.  Canary's zip is 60181

edit someone please confirm the zip
confirmed 60181
2238  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] batch #20/21 .31 - .35 btc for USB miners & 10.25 blades - USA only on: August 13, 2013, 04:24:53 PM
Is Canary PMing his return address so we can create a shipping label?
At USPS, it created a label that had my address as both TO and FROM. It also has a field on the label that stated that it will be shipped from a different ZIP code. I put Canary's zip in that field. I have no idea if that's right or not, but that's what I sent to Canary.
that's perfect!
2239  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] batch #20/21 .31 - .35 btc for USB miners & 10.25 blades - USA only on: August 13, 2013, 04:24:35 PM

use your address in both the to and from.  However, indicate that shipping is from 60181 zip.

-------
"theoretically" you could put whatever you want in the from address, as long as your to address is where you want it delivered to...
but!! you want your address in the from section because if for some reason it is you know "lost" at the wonderful USPS system, it will make it's way back to you anyway...
makes sense?
