FIRST DUMPER = 65,000.00000000 @ 0.00080000
You realize the coin needs to trade in order to have wet market? If no one sells that means no one is looking to buy and that makes the coin worthless and people won't buy/use it.

ppl are buying like crazy on coinswap. the price is so high for a new free coin.
Hmm... considering @ 650k ShareCoin are in the wild, I don't think a volume of 5359 is all that much. Unless that is volume in BTC.

Thanks...so if Coinbase goes belly up I would lose my coins just like those exchanges.
Why would you want to ever keep a coin in their wallet?
Thanks
Coinbase makes Bitcoin easy for the common man. No need to set up a wallet, no need to manage keys etc. Coinbase also pays mining fees for you when you spend. You can send money from Coinbase wallet to Coinbase wallet instantly without needing to wait an hour for 6 confirms, etc. They also provide a merchant service for stores to accept bitcoin, they convert it to USD and depost it to the merchants bank. So, there are advantages. Yes, you have to trust them to not go away. I don't think they are going anywhere. It's totally up to you, I'm just answering your questions.

I have a problem i was trying to sync the wallet to see if I received any coins and it was syncing but now it stopped syncing suddenly, the green bar is now gone and it still says out of sync what shall I do? I am not your most techie peep. copy wallet.dat to desktop delete sharecoin folder that contains everything download new wallet from the top of the original post unzip folder paste .dat file into the folder (folder should contain 3 files) then start the application and let it download new block chain Thanks. Applying that advice got my wallet synched. ---------- As I understand, there's no reward for leaving my wallet open but I'm doing so anyways to help secure the network. It's a small donation of a sort. Hmm.. those directions aren't 100% right. You don't put the wallet into the same folder with the .exe. you put it into the data folder. This way, when you update the wallet, all you do is update the folder with the .exe (and support files) and you don't touch the data folder. Verify after you do this that your receive address is the same one as you put into your sig here.

I set up 2FA on both, thanks....
1) You speak of a 'shared wallet'. I'm simple minded....does that mean it's in their wallet or mine? It can't be both. I don't want my bitcoin anywhere but in my wallet....I'm guessing the moment I get verified data that my wallet in coinbase has a bitcoin in it I need to immediately move the bitcoin into my wallet? If this is true then do I use the 'send money' icon as if I was sending it to someone else although it is just me sending it to me?
Thanks....
You've sort of got it. It's their wallet. It's your BTC. Coinbase doesn't generate a public/private key pair for each customer. They have a single public/private key (well that's simplistic, the probably have multiple wallets hot/cold/etc). Your balance is maintained by Coinbase keeping track of which addresses in that wallet belong to you. There is no need for you to immediately move your money. Coinbase will keep it all straight. You can send/receive bit coin via your coinbase wallet. You can create new addresses and you can sign messages with your coinbase wallet addresses. So, coinbase is more like a bank. At your bank, there is no drawer were just your money sits. The bank keeps track of how much of the money it has belongs in your account. This is also the way the exchanges work. When you send money to an exchange, like BTC-e or Bitfinex or whatever, they give you a deposit address and keep track of how much BTC in their wallet belongs to you. HTH

Is there a bug with the system? Still have to wait 2073 days for my stake. Anyone else with the same problem?
Because you changed your sig. Supposedly the website will update at some time and correct those numbers.
|
|
|
I have not obtained my share
According to the web site you have to wait about 2 days. because of the "7 day sign" rule? Yep, don't change your sig!

Somebody here already broke the sell wall...Please delete it. If you are planning on dropping your price even more, there are people willing to buy right here.Don't be an amateur totally, I already offered 65,000 Satoshi for 65,000 sharecoin. (Yea, I know, not gonna happen).

New user of bitcoins as of today. So far I have done this: I went to blockchain info and got a wallet address, identifier, catchphrase I went to coinbase and verified my checking account and phone number I bought a quarter of a bitcoin as a test Coinbase said it won't be until Friday I have my coin, I'm not thrilled there but I ain't in a hurry. A few newbie questions....thanks: 1) how does coinbase have my wallet address I never gave it to them? There is a tab on coinbase titled 'wallet', I just don't understand how they have my address when I never gave it to them. 2) On blockchain I have a catchphrase, identifier, and address. Do I need to make damn sure I don't lose any of these, which can you lose and be okay? 3) When I buy something online is my transaction public knowledge? I ask b/c I see transactions being posted all over the place? It appears it is public knowledge but I thought bitcoin was partly for privacy, but I'm a rookie here so please slap me with a fish across my face. thx 1. Coinbase uses a "Shared wallet" concept. Your BTC will be in your coinbase wallet. You can use that or spend that BTC to your blockchain wallet if you want, or leave it at coinbase. 2. You need your identifier or your alias to be able to log into your wallet. 100% don't lose your password you'll be fine. I highly suggest you set up 2FA at blockchain and coinbase. 3. Yes, in a way. The blockchain is public. But, there is no simple way to link an address back to you. But, it is possible depending on stuff. (cue all the people telling you how you shouldn't use an online wallet)

I can't backup my wallet using the Windows wallet software in Windows 8. Does anyone else have the same problem?
Yep, it's a bug. Just manually copy the wallet.dat file to your backup device/location. (I suggest you encrypt it first).

Dev even v 1.6 wallet is encrypted by itself.I can't unlock the wallet to start minting,it asks for passphrase. What's the passphrase can you tell us? Also when I click 'Backup Wallet' nothing happens. Can you have a look into these please. Not sure what you did, but this isn't true. I just tested. There is no wallet in the d/l. When you first start that wallet it creates a non-encrypted wallet.dat file. You must have encrypted your wallet, or somehow copied and encrypted wallet into your sharecoin folder. Perhaps you copied a wallet.dat from some other coin into it.

I must be blind reading over the OP, but I couldnt find where the PoS specifications are for this coin. Can someone tell me what the annual stake percentage is and what the stake age is?
24 hours is the stake age (dev posted that previously in the thread). The interest rates are in the footer of the web site: Interest Rate Year 1: 30% Year 2: 20% Year 3: 10% Year 4: 5% Year 5: 2% Year 6 onwards: 1% annual stake for maintenance.

So did payouts from wafflepool begin, yet?
I doubt it. The BTC in the multipool will be used at Sharexer to buy ShareCoin, and that coin will be distributed proportionally to people that donated HASH/Coin to the Multipool. Since Sharexer isn't up and running yet, that multipool hasn't bought any SHARE. What do we donate to multipool? Can I donate and be part of it even though I can't mine at all? You can donate BTC to the multi pool. Follow the directions on the sharecoin website. You will get a BTC address when you put your ShareCoin address in. Spend BTC to that address to participate in the Multipool.

Yeah I do trust banks. I trust them to report any money to the Taxman,
I thought you said this thread wasn't about tax evasion. I wish you luck sir. Bye.

Another option is an online pay service. You could put the money into Google Wallet... that would sort of make the cash digital. Not sure if there is a max wallet size. Not sure what countries they support.
But, if you don't trust banks (not sure why) then I'm not sure why you would trust google or some other online pay service.

I just received my shares! Excellent! Thank you! And for me 0.1 BTC for these is a slightly amusing joke!
It's a start. You could also say that $55k was created out of nothing. That's pretty impressive.
