2221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Power to the people on: June 10, 2022, 10:19:58 PM
When regulation comes many will feel safer with regulated crypto projects but BTC for example cant be regulated because the founder cant be found, he (Nakamoto) saw this coming all along so what's going to happen? I believe the power to choose which project to invest in will be given to the people. The warning from the government will be ' do not invest in unregulated projects '.
You can have two options to chose, it's either you chose yourself or you follow what the government says. The crypto market has always been like this, and that the government has always been consistent on their judgement too. To be more safe, just invest in bitcoin. Its never regulated and that you can manipulate the outcome of your investments. And you have known already how successful it is despite of the government's contradictions.
2222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you educate petty traders in adopting Bitcoin? on: June 09, 2022, 10:41:57 PM
Doing tons of daily transactions when selling products in a kiosk or at a market isn't really trading. The price stay more or less stable, and the goal is to sell the products you have and get money for them in return. The purchases from places like this also tend to be small and fast, so I'm not sure Bitcoin is good for that. I think it's more productive to convince businesses that sell something pricey and probably online to accept Bitcoin. Transactions on a market happen very fast and are small.
This is the reason why those vendors in the streets or markets won't bite about bitcoin investment. They used to see profits after a day or two so if you are going to educate them about bitcoin as a long term investment, probably they will become skeptical to invest in it. Yes, they can expect huge profits in bitcoin but the problem is when. I suggest if you try to educate their big bosses or those who are big time businessmen, probably it will work for them.
2223  Economy / Economics / Re: Food crisis coming? What's wrong about it? It could be good on: June 09, 2022, 09:54:52 PM
I've read a few articles explaining that a food crisis is coming, I want to tell you something about it. There will be no food crisis for me.
Price of pasta, price of cooking oil, rice or meat will increase 20%? 30%?

That's all right. I don't care much. I can handle it, just like most people in developed countries. We don't spend much on food, increasing that budget by a third is perfectly fine.

The problem will be with the poor countries, but I wonder: is it a problem, or a solution?

There were 100 millions people living in Africa in 1900. Now, there are over 1,500 millions people there. I know that some people live a in a fantasy world thinking that there will be food, jobs, modern housing and all creature comforts for every human, but that won't happen. We live in a finite world, and the population just cannot grow without limit. Number one rule of the world has always been the survival of the fittest...
You're lucky if you are born with a golden spoon since you don't have to worry about the increasing prices of basic commodities but for most of us here, this food price increase is killing us more. This increasing high inflation won't do any good but continue to trigger our finances and will left us struggling to earn because of high prices of goods all over the world. Hopefully, the government can do something about this or even give more assistance to the poor families.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: June 06, 2022, 07:33:36 PM
It would be a great pleasure to carryout a thesis on gambling. Such academic work is very rare in my country yet my homeland have the highest number of gamblers in the continent. It would be very pleasing to tackle issues like gambling addictions, behavior of gamblers, the management of gambling firms and behavior of top management of gambling firms. If I can secure a grant from any of the gambling firm I would gladly put my intellectual resources in that direction. And it would be very easy to carryout the research work because the respondents are available and accessible.
That is one advantage of doing thesis in gambling because all the resources are widely available and you can even trace easily the problems and solutions to gambling behaviors. Unlike other topics in thesis, you need more proven evidences to make your thesis reliable but when it comes to gambling, its easy for you to provide reliable proofs because majority of the people around are born with passion in gambling.
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: June 06, 2022, 06:52:13 PM

It does not end but will be minimized, that's what the government wants because they cannot totally eradicate gambling. Their decision is for the benefits of the poor, poor people has to spend on their needs as they cannot afford to gamble, maybe they will just gamble a small amount as their excuse but they tend to gambling addicting which we are trying to prevent.

Easy access to gambling by means of digital money, gcash and paymaya if I'm not mistaken offer direct transactions for anyone to play directly from the previous E-Sabong website, I remember someone from my neighborhood that instead of using the Ayuda from the government the father of a certain family used big portions of the money to gamble and instead of having a much longer supplies; they needed to ask assistance again from their near side relatives for some extended help.
I believe gambling won't never be stopped even if the government tighten its rules. But given the case you said, using Ayuda for his gambling addiction, i guess that needs to be given discipline and even proper sanction from the government. Whether we deny it or not, those cash assistance from the government are even the fuels to gamble more especially that they don't hardly earned that money that is why its very easy for them to lose.
2226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 8 Mistake People Make When Investing In Crypto on: June 06, 2022, 05:29:49 PM
Every thing listed as mistake narrows down to making quality research before making any investment decision. Shit coin investment is ponzi in disguise, If it must be included in a traders portfolio then knowing when to withdraw is part of the investment plan same with Bitcoin. for non researchers its best to Hold on to Bitcoin and if diversifying portfolio should be considered then real estate, metals is best.
These mistakes are done because they lack the knowledge, experience and skills which will eventually lead to success. However, for newbies, you cannot expect for them not to get mistakes and losses because they are still exploring the market while investing. But these mistakes will eventually impact them some valuable lessons that will make them knowledgeable and become wise in their decisions. Everyone here started from a scratch, before they succeeded in their crypto investments.
2227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had 50k and it was life or death situation to triple that money to pay... on: June 06, 2022, 04:36:33 PM
To pay for your fathers surgery who he is really really ill I am willing to risk this 50k and invest it to triple to be able to save him. What would you save on this next bull run ?

Much help would be highly highly appreciated !

(I will updated you guys as how it goes)

IMHO, never invest this time. You should not invest the money that is intended to pay your bills or for emergency purposes. Investments have no fixed time to give returns, as you don't hold the assurance if you are going to make profits or end up at a loss. Instead, look for some charity foundations that can help you so you can ask financial assistance that will cater the surgery expenses of your father. And inform the attending doctor about it in case he can offer some recommendations.
2228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which crypto will going to explore after this bearish market ends? on: June 06, 2022, 04:09:50 PM
Which cryptocurrency is the best to invest in right now and will explode following the bear market?
If you are asking for a coin which has the highest potentials, no other than bitcoin. But i cannot give you an assurance that it will totally start to surge right after a bear market. Still, bitcoin will always depend on the current market trends and events. However, compared to other coins in the market, bitcoin has always an edge because it simply dominates the whole crypto market, and is always has the highest value among others.
2229  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the golden rule of investment? on: June 06, 2022, 03:41:25 PM
I have a friend who invests in cryptocurrency like me, he is an investor hold Luna and he has also lost quite a bit because of Luna. But what's more sad is his 2 best friends. Those two are also hold a lot of Luna's and Luna's crash causes them to lose all their possessions and become insane. As he said, one person has gone through the crisis and one has not. Those two guys who invested in Luna were all from my friend's advice. He said it was he who indirectly harmed them, money can be earned, but his friend are gone.

This is a sad story that I have heard. Through this story I want everyone to know 1 golden rule in investing is: never give financial advice to anyone. By the time you give them financial advice, you may feel like you're one step ahead of them, but if that advice is wrong, you could be the one hurting them.

Sometimes, giving personal advices can even lead them to their worst life's situation. The reason why as much as possible, i never tell them what to do and what not do. Because in my mind, once you enter the market then you should know how to manage the risk and accept losses once your decision making does not work out. Although we are free to give financial advices, but for me i prefer not to do it because i know that all of us are like sailing in the waves with no guaranteed destination. Everything is a challenge in the crypto market.
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto moving into world. Algo sponsor FIFA on: June 06, 2022, 02:16:24 PM
This is only positive news for Bitcoin and crypto in general,it is expected that the FIFA World Cup will have a lot of audience, already 23 million persons are fighting to get a ticket to be present to watch the games live in the stadiums while all the world will cherish for their favorite teams when they will play by watching them on TV.This sponsorship will have a global scale audience and surely I predict that it will make a lot of persons curious about what crypto is and how it works and how can they be part of it.Only good comes from such partnerships.
True. This partnership will pave its way to create a lot of advantages in the future, not only crypto will attract a lot of players and users, but it will also encourage a lot of businesses to accept and use crypto as a payment since its the trend not only in sports but certainly in other genres wherein crypto will be directly involved. If this partnership will turn out to be very successful, then expect that there will be more partnerships to happen for this blockchain network with other worldwide events.
2231  Economy / Economics / Re: Crashes are The Best Times to Get Rich - Robert Kiyosaki on: June 05, 2022, 10:59:12 PM
Rober Kiyosaki[1], a person popular in the network marketing industry and founder of Rich Global and Rich Dad Company[2] stated that the best time to get rich is to get in during the market crash.  He stated that if the Bitcoin market continues to plunge, he is ready to get in and start buying.  His entry window is when BTC touches $20k[3]

Quote
“BITCOIN CRASHING. Great news,” he tweeted recently. “I am waiting for Bitcoin to crash to 20k. Will then wait for test of bottom which might be $17k. Once I know bottom is in I back up the truck. Crashes are the best times to get rich.”

He also states that "Bitcoin is the future of money" and thinks that the bottom of this current bull trend would be below $11k. Read more here:

Having an optimist view despite the recent Bear trend and crashes is one of the better traits traders should have.  We have known Bitcoin to have the ability to rebound and yet many had been pessimists and lots lose hope.  We should look at this bear market in a different view rather than Bitcoin being Doom and as a matter of fact, many known billionaires gain lots of profit by investing in a crashing company or stocks but have been proven to recover.

So what do you think about Kiyosaki's point of view, is it possible that "crashes are the best time to get rich"?

[2] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_Dad
[3] https://finance.yahoo.com/news/crashes-best-times-rich-why-120000932.html
I honestly believe that the way to become wealthy in crypto is to start taking advantage when the crypto market is crashing, particularly when bitcoin price has dropped so low. If we had started buying bitcoin 10 years ago, then we might have the same fortune by now. But that is not the real case. A lot of us has doubted bitcoin and never come to imagine that the price would go this far. And here we are now, not totally regretting but waiting for a big crash in the market that will definitely make bitcoin and the rest of established altcoins drop their prices at a very affordable price.
2232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong foot on bitcointalk on: June 05, 2022, 10:26:53 PM
Joining bounties from new projects doesn't have a good image as many bounty hunters only spam this forum just to meet the required posts needed to get stakes and receive reward after the campaign ends. It's good that you take your time to investigate what the Bitcointalk really is. Bitcointalk forum is not all about bounties but all about sharing, learning and helping other people. Some business owners use the Bitcointalk platform to promote their projects with a reward and that's where the campaign comes.
For most of us here, bitcointalk is important because the works of the bounty hunters are done in the forum, so whether we like it or not, we should be active in the forum. However, if you go deeply to what the forum is all about, its not only for bounty hunters. Its for all the newbies and not so newbies to keep gaining insights on the crypto market itself particularly with bitcoin, which is the target in the forum. If you want to improve your knowledge and skills related to cryptocurrency, bitcointalk could be the best answer to that. Not only for business promotions, bitcointalk is also the best outlet if you want to exchange ideas with some of the best posters and legends residing in the forum.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 05, 2022, 09:53:48 PM
Finals so it's gotta be Celtics or Warriors.

Game 2 soon and the game 1 was full of excitement and hype. This was the first time again more than years ago when I've watched Celtics at the finals.

The rookie in the finals have made their very first momentum and hopefully, they'll make it again but this is GSW. They're known as one of the kings of the finals.
We are seeing a lot of momentum from Celtics this season but things changed when in the finals. Especially that they are competing with the battle tested GSW, i guess the next games will be tougher than ever. The Game 1 was definitely very entertaining, both of the teams are well competitive. I just hope that there will be less serious injuries this time as it could trigger the performance of their star players, which will affect the whole team as well.
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 05, 2022, 09:27:07 PM
It could be on basketball, boxing or horse racing, or any kind of sport, after being in a particular sport for many years can you see or tell if a fight or event is fixed, there are upsets but in the back of our mind, there's a possibility that the match or game is fixed.
I sometimes observe it too and can't help but feeling upset because the game turns to be so odd to watch. Not just in sports but i also think that even in lottery too, the results are already fixed. Although they always tell the viewers that the numbers are randomly picked but it seems to me those numbers are already predicted. That is why most of the jackpot winners came from the main region or in which the main branch is built. Just my own thought.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 05, 2022, 08:53:30 PM
I found this interesting article. It is mainly for beginners. It provides the proper guidance on how maximize profits from online crypto casinos. Beginners often find it difficult to win money from an online crypto casino often times because they have no strategy in place. The right techniques that gamblers must take cognizance of to make money and keep money from online crypto casinos are highlighted below:

  • Play free spots
  • Make the most out of casino commission benefits
  • Monitor your funds
  • Play the games that you’re skilled at
  • Be aware of your betting patterns.

Do you have any surefire strategies that works for you which is not in the list above?

You can read the article here: https://blog.bc.game/how-can-you-make-money-effectively-from-online-crypto-casinos/

If you want to maximize your profits from gambling, then do not play or bet on which you are unfamiliar of. Choose your games you want to play, and study and develop your skills on it. That way, you will always have an edge to other players. Or focus in sportsbetting because the chances to win is not rare especially if you are good in basketball or soccer, you will always have a reasonable bet to win, not to lose.
2236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 04, 2022, 11:40:55 PM
How do you feel when the bear market is happening and do you hate it?. Every time a bearmarket happens, I always have valuable lessons that the bull market doesn't have. So always be grateful when the market goes down, it gives us many lessons, lessons about emotions, lessons about capital management, trust and patience.

The bear market is not the end but the beginning of a new and better start, the bear market is a measure of our confidence in the market. Worthy rewards will only come to, those who truly believe in the market.
That's for those who truly understand that there are great opportunities in a bear market. But for those who don't know the essence of a bear market, seems like this is the end of their crypto investments. I guess let's change our mindset and instead of hating the bearish market, its better to dig up the opportunities and take advantage on them, than to get scared and lose our investments.
2237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet on: June 04, 2022, 10:47:16 PM
recently I've come across some information for an upcoming soccer match and I'd like to place a big bet of 50-100k, how easy would it be for me to take out a loan and how long would it take? has anyone else done something like this?

feel free to message me or comment below  Smiley
That is too risky mate. You don't hold any assurance that your bet will definitely win, or if someone has assured you, i don't think he'll still be responsible once you lose that huge amount. Think a hundred times. You can bet but make sure to put only money that you can afford to lose. Taking loans either for investment or gambling may only make you face into future troubles once they did not turn well. Once you lose, you will surely struggle how to pay it back, even its monthly interest is still very big so i wouldn't let it happen to me in case.
2238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: friendly and profitable board for beginners, have you realized it? on: June 04, 2022, 06:33:36 PM
The fact that you have once won 60 USD by following a tip on this board cannot lead us to conclude that this is a profitable board for beginners.

That it is an entertaining board, I agree, but betting following the tips given here does not seem to me to be a good system to make money, in the same way that betting is not usually a good system to make money in general, rather to pass the time and if you are lucky to win money that day, but not as a system.

I firmly believe that all types of betting are purely run by luck. Although there may be a little bit of strategies, but probably gambling is more based on luck. So i guess you were just lucky that time that you won, but it has nothing to do with the profitable boards you've said. You can't hold the assurance that following all those advices in the beginner's board will make you win, that's definitely not gambling at all. Yes, they can be entertaining, but they don't hold the guarantees to make you win all the time.
2239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Something Like This Happen To You on: June 04, 2022, 06:12:19 PM
We experienced unexpected events or moments in gambling like this one, you are calling it off a day in a session then you're suddenly on a winning streak thinking that it's your time to get back what you've lost will you go or will you stop and come back the next day.

I'm sometimes tempted to continue but I know you cannot beat the house, so most of the time I just call it a day and just wished that tomorrow or next time it's my lucky day. What about you what's your take.
It happens to me most of the time but as much as possible, i try to control myself not to be tempted because i know the feeling that you'll lose another bucks, hoping you never chase for your loss. And i really think that's the best thing we can do, otherwise we'll left the house pennyless which is really bad if you're a family man. I do gamble but i make sure i'm only using my extra funds, and once they're lose, i think better call it a day or you may regret it later.
2240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Four (4) Tips On How I Handle Criticism on Bitcointalk Forum on: June 03, 2022, 11:38:50 PM
Acceptance is all what we need to have for all criticism we receive here because we cannot count all people here to like us because we have different perspective on certain situations on what people discuss about those certain issues. And we just treat all those as part of our growth because if we can deal up all the challenges we face especially those critical once for sure we will be more experience to handle all things especially those trolls who intend to spit and destroy our reputation here. Just make sure you do the right thing and didn't do anything to harm anyone since you will be alright in all cases if you just here with pure intentions to learn or even help new people to learn about crypto.
That's part of growing, accepting all the challenges and even negative criticisms that we have to endure so we can be more strong not to fall for our weaknesses. As long as we are following the footsteps to success without negative intention for others to fall while we are taking leaps, i guess in the end we deserve success and fortune in the crypto market. Just trust the process, as everything started from a scratch before they achieved their positions right now.
