2221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 16, 2022, 11:11:34 AM
Two amazing games.  Shocked A lot of players stepped up their game to gain the win.
Pelicans first, Larry Nance Jr. dominating the paint in offensive rebounds. With the Clippers playing small ball there's no one to stop him. 14 and 16 for Nance. Then the rookie, 17th pick, Trey Murphy III,  made crucial 3-pointers. 4/6.

In the East, the Hawks may have won it with Trae Young's 32 points in the 2nd half but now they have a big problem with Capela injured. Hunter will be their rim defender as they play against the Miami Heat on Monday.

It will be hard to fill the gap that Capela will left at the Hawks center position because of his injury. A very difficult task at hand for the short handed Hawks against a complete line up of the Heat. We have Bam that they have to contain in the middle and then of course the ever reliable Butler as their leader. As much as I love the Hawks, but I'm not seeing them advancing in the next playoff round here.
Aside from Hunter, they still have Okungwu who played decent the whole regular season. He plays well if he is given minutes in the court and a good inside defender as well though I don't think that he can match-up against Bam but who knows Smiley. Hoping for Capela to recover fast so he can help his team.

Still commend to Trae Young on how he played in the 2nd half. From only 6 points in the first half to 36 points to end the game. A complete Heat roster seems undefeated but I still think that this Heat-Hawks series will be a close series and I will go with Heat in 6 games.

Same here, Heat has veterans and they are an experienced team. I don't see anyone from the Hawks roster that could stop Butler, maybe unless they'll double him but that would make other shooters to be open which would result to an easy win by the Heat. I don't want to underestimate the Hawks but they are facing a championship team.

And we also have the second in command, Kyle Lowry another veteran and savvy point guard. Of course Trae Young has the speed and youth on his side and could easily penetrate and get past them. But he has to face Bam or Dedmon in the middle or maybe Herro to guard him and Tyler is also dangerous outside so as Duncan Robinson. Add P.J. Tucker for defense and 3 in the corner. Very hard for the Hawks to overcome the a complete and healthy Heat.

Exactly, he is also a great defensive player which could give Young a hard time. Herro is still an underrated player, he can focus on scoring so the offense of the heat will be more unpredictable. Lots of defensive players from the Heat actually, and most of them have a good experience in the playoffs.
2222  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Little Surprised! on: April 15, 2022, 09:58:00 PM
This is what we were talking about right now, with a lot of positive news we see a drop in the price of Bitcoin instead of an increase and this is a surprising reason for everyone, it seems that the whales are playing in the market greatly, they are taking advantage of the positive news to push people to buy more amounts of Bitcoin and at the same time they are selling The huge quantities  that they have, this causes the price to fall more and more. This is a dangerous game for whales to play and they are sure to raise the price soon.
I don't think that whales are controlling the possible uptrend of the market but I see the demand wasn't huge enough to move the market high. We are in bear season, that is what I thought.

So much happened last year and the impact still even reach early this year. Now, it was the time to face the bear side of the market as despite the said info of huge buying by Microstrategy this even not it helps for the price surge, we eventually still moving slow and unstable.
$40k- $48k- well, for me, the price isn't looked bad, that was still high compared to the past years.
2223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 15, 2022, 09:17:39 PM
After running several bounty campaigns I have noticed that they only attrach bot accounts, multiple fake accounts controlled by one person or low quality accounts that can not even give adequate comments - it is not the same as it used to be back in the days in 2018. Where has all the quality crowd gone?
Bounty managers keep doing their job but it is hard to combat with fake accounts especially on social media bounties. The good old days are over, we have to keep focusing on quality contents and ignore the unknown projects let alone promoting on forums. There are review websites for each project, check it before joining bounty campaigns.
Well, some reviews are paid and obviously made good just to attract investors, many are fake and a reason why many still had fallen to wrong market promotions. Now, it is really hard to detect if the bounty is a scam or going to scam, many of these bounties had looked good in their early days but devs had abandoned them in the latter part of the campaign, sometimes BM had even not received the payment. Too sad but the look of bounties now is getting worse.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 15, 2022, 01:27:57 PM

It's Bivol territory to defend. He should prepare more for this contender who's challenging his belt. Like what many of us wanted to see a close match and not a jab and run, Bivol would be a nice one to face Canelo. If he can take those solid punches, his chance would be better beating Alvarez.

Though, it's really a tough job for him knowing how good Canelo was, but it is worth the try if he upset and wins this fight.

In less than a month, every speculation will be concluded.

Bivol should perform his best during his fight against Canelo especially the game will take place on his territory not just to defend to his belt or his title but to give honour to their countrymen. But like what we always have speculated we knew that Canelo will outperform at this game and we will expect that this man will going to perform his best like what he always do. But let's wait and see when the game starts and our speculations will be concluded.

Wherever they will play this fight, I still think that Canelo will win, it's not about defending or whatsoever, it's about winning and the better fighter will win.I don't see enough reason on why Canelo will lose this fight, he was an undisputed champion on the division he left, now trying to beat a champion, I thnk he really knows what he is doing.

Not guaranteed, but Canelo has higher chance. What makes this a bit difficult for Canelo is the natural size of his opponent. Though this guy Bivol haven't had a fight against an elite champion like Canelo.
Good thing is, Canelo's offensive aggression could be a huge factor on winning this fight. What he need is to consistently hit Bivol with a lot of body shots in the early round and then aim for a knock out on the latter after his opponent gas out.

A knockout is not expected here from Canelo. I saw his previous fights with big opponents, he just make them tired in the end to take advantage using his quickness. If Canelo could pull a KO, then consider it as a great marketing to hype the Canelo vs GGG Trilogy.

Quote
Canelo needs to control the fight for him to win.
Most of his fights, this is what he does.
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 15, 2022, 12:50:17 PM
At least when we see the game, we know that the chance of our bet to win is huge.  Grin

So I might stick with them on the road, again Trae Young doesn't flap and will show Garland who is the top point guard here. Young knows the gravity of this kind of game and seems to be raising up every stake with his performance. So I will stick with the Hawks, -2.5.

Take note that this is a play-in tournament bracket so usually underdog team can show an opposite result than expected since the match is a win or go home game only. A small mistake for Atlanta will result to a terrible loss. If I were you, I will wait for the second half to finish then bet live. Don’t be tempted on the prematch odds because that’s what bookmaker like if  the game result is an upset match.

Not all the time, pre-match usually gets more bets compared to live betting. If you are betting on the Hawks and they lead by 20 points in the first half, then you'll not be able to put your bet anymore unless you will take the high point spread.

That's the point of placing your early bet if you do believe that the team will win.

If you wait for the live game, you might not have that chance to take a good odd with your favorite team once they start
dominating and they've got an early lead, unless just what you mentioned, you are willing to take that big handicap. The risk
is too high and the chance of the opposing team to rally back is another thing that you need to consider.

That's why we analyze before placing our bet.

if you think that your team is a slow starter and good finisher, then it is suitable for live betting as you'll certainly get better odds than the pregame. There's a trend that you should follow and you need to spend time to master it, it's called sports investing where you'll win most of the time, opposite from the experience of regular bettors.
2226  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach its all-time high? on: April 14, 2022, 11:44:16 PM
^^ It takes experience though to get over checking and wanting to know when is the next all time high.

So it takes time for us crypto investors, but as you go along, you will understand that everything works in cycle here. And you become somewhat not attached to it anymore, you will just have to continue to accumulate bitcoin as your own phase and then sell it if you are satisfied with your profits specially if it reaches another new all time high in the future.
I'm still not thinking of it this year. Upon seeing the market trend, I eventually did not expect it.
That you right, it comes to a cycle, we have Bullrun last year, 2022 is seemingly the opposite, a bear market. I could assume or I was right but unfortunately, the market not showing any signs of being bullish, we are still been seeing the volatile nature up and down.

Indeed, this year is probably a time for accumulation, we'd never miss this chance. That I hope we see a different direction early next year or before the end of 2022 (last quarter).
2227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No condition is permanent in crypto on: April 14, 2022, 11:17:26 PM
Same Old feeling  Grin

When the Bull market comes it always feels like it's here to stay and many ends up believing that there is no such thing as a bear market.

When the Bear market comes everyone feels like it's over for crypto and no Bull market is coming again, maybe because got tired of holding on and on.

In the crypto space no condition is permanent, get ready for both sides because they are inevitable.
How are we supposed to change that mindset as it has somehow been stuck in the minds of the people? People had thought all the way bullish once they are seeing Bullrun. They have been perhaps not in their mind for the coming bear season, they become more optimistic. But once the bear season comes, they keep asking when it ends? When bullish?

Many were still not learning, perhaps, they are more focused on how to earn money, not making their minds aware of the situation.
Bullish season - bearish season - vice versa...come to that cycle all the time. That is why I'd didn't expect a bull market this year, instead of expecting the downsides.

Boston Vs. Brooklyn in East.

This one is a great match-up, I have a feeling that this series will reach game 7.
Looks like an ECF for me, it's just good that Brooklyn is now an underdog in the series while they are favored to win the NBA Finals during the regular season.

Do you think it's wise to take the Nets to win the series against the Boston?
They are now 2.09 at my bookie.

Mistakes aren't a failure, it somehow gives us the benefits of being aware of what we doing.
Investing requires knowledge that you and your friend have missed out. Experience whether bad or good literally change our mindset and most of the time once we suffer losses (or get scammed) we generally then think this is not a good investment.

For me, I don't invest in something I do not know. Of course, we need assurance and that is really what we need to secure first before making a step. Partially I believe in "No Risk, No Reward", it can be changed if we do something.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 11, 2022, 09:56:11 PM
Ginebra has the biggest chance of winning in game 3 because they have a huge crowd, I'm not sure in game 4 if they can even the series, maybe they just don't need a crowd to be on their side  but the refs as well, you know what I'm saying.  Grin

As always, they can rely on the refs if the management wants this series to extend to game 7.
I've seen that many times that's why we need to be diligent when it comes to putting our bet, always analyze carefully the line offered as it could just be a trap from the smart bookmakers.

Also, Meralco could take the lead for 3-1 standing, but it does not mean the series could end soon because we all know that Ginebra is #NSD team, so they'll come back, of course with the help of the refs and tie the series. That's just some crazy scenario I'm seeing from this series.
Just like what SMB did few seasons back, they were able to win a championship after being down by 3-1 in the series, however, there's fajardo that time and I think it's an all Filipino cup. Here, we have player imports, if one import will struggle, then that's a big advantage on the opposing team.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 11, 2022, 09:41:29 PM
Good luck @YuginKadoya, I know this is a tough game for the Wolves because Clippers are packed up with veterans with good experience in the playoffs. However, I believe that there's a good reason why the Wolves are listed as favorites and for sure Wolves will not waste the opportunity at home as they worked hard just to reach at this stage even without a bad start.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 11, 2022, 09:16:11 PM
Great fight for this year, of course, Haney will be listed as the favorite but I like Kambasos because he has a heart of a real warrior. I'm pretty sure that he will not back down, he would do the same damage as he did against Teofimo Lopez and we will again see an upset here.

This is a big challenge for Haney, he should not underestimate Kambasos who are coming from a big win.
Kambosos, who is a unifield lightweight world champion, probably has an edge on this event because the fight will be held in his country of origination. And seeing how he manifested his great boxing skills in the ring, that makes him very capable to win over Haney and make him the undisputed lightweight champion. Definitely a great and exciting fight that we should not miss.

Honestly, the only advantage of Kambosos here is that he is fighting in his country, but in terms of skills, I would always go for Haney to win the fight. But who knows right? maybe Kambasos could pull an upset like what he did on Lopez.

here's the odds of the previous fight of Kambasos.
Quote
Lopez is a massive betting favorite on the moneyline ahead of this title fight. Betting apps give the champion boxing odds of -1000 to win the fight, despite the fact that he’s facing a fellow unbeaten. Kambosos Jr. is a whopping +600 underdog at DraftKings Sportsbook for upset-minded bettors looking to score big.

2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 11, 2022, 08:47:55 PM

The way how Meralco is defending Ginebra right now, yeah I will not be surprised as well if they will beat the Gin Kings.

JB struggled because of how Hodge is defending him. Hodge is like the Patrick Beverley of PBA where he is just annoying their shooter and not doing any stats like points etc. and we can see that he is very effective defending Brownlee because his performance dropped massively in the 2nd half. On the other hand, nobody can stop Bishop from scoring because they don't have any legit defender that can defend him. If only Japeth is playing :|.

There is a famous quote in sports that is "Offense win games, defense win championships" and with how Meralco is playing, they might defeat them though I will stick with my prediction Smiley.
Such adjustment that being done by coach Norman Black, the two coaches are very familiar with each other and I'm not going to be surprise also if we will see much dominant Ginebra coming this game 4, The defense is too tight for Brownlee and that's the courtesy of having Hodge who's more on winning the game instead of taking care of his personal stats.

But we can also expect explosions from Ginebra's locals. They are also unpredictable once the heat starts to fire up.

Another game to watch if who's going to dominate, either Ginebra will tie it up or Meralco will have a two game leads.  Cool Smiley

Ginebra has the biggest chance of winning in game 3 because they have a huge crowd, I'm not sure in game 4 if they can even the series, maybe they just don't need a crowd to be on their side  but the refs as well, you know what I'm saying.  Grin
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sports betting sites that return your money when you lose. on: April 11, 2022, 08:28:27 PM
One of my friends had also used this site, you can really see that their money is growing every day, there are no losses had to happen to them in every bet they made. That is really tempting, in fact, many professional persons are already joining and they had never thought about the legality of the site, they just think about the money. But what if one day if the sites close they can no longer get their funds from the site?

This is what I'm worried about to the latecomers and those who are still holding their funds in their accounts.

2236  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN will rise on: April 11, 2022, 01:39:02 PM
This could've served to be a start for new bullish move, but there is also accumulation of big volumes by the whales. With specific time period the market of bitcoin bounced crossing major resistance barriers. It looks like the market is experiencing series of change. This change is expected to make positive impact on the market, but nothing big have changed.

Market prediction is common, everyone come forward with the moving trend, but the reality coincide with very few people's prediction. Even now it has formed the bullish expanding pattern, but there is no big move in the price.
Yeah, even we saw the positive move of the market, however, we're still unsure of what happens next, can't assure if Bullrun will pursue or just get back to correction again. As I look at the chart, the trading line is still moving up and down, can't find strong supports that could hold the market from going down and this is really possible even if we saw the surge.

We couldn't assume that we are moving forward, definitely, the market moves sideways.

It really a bad idea to introduce someone into crypto currency if they don't asked you about it,
I certainly disagree with the idea.
We are telling others for the sake that they will learn something from us. We are imparting knowledge with them and it was not bad, actually.

Quote
with the rate of scam and love for money in this country now most people might even think you want to scam them, especially when their investment goes wrong. Alot of people are inpatient when it comes to money issue and you can't blame them. Money is very hard to find now. So it best you make your crypto knowledge hidden especially from people who are not into it already.
People got lost their investments, people got scams, and that was because they fall into the wrong investments, easy money schemes, Ponzi schemes, and many scam tricks. But, if they just listen to us, there are no such things going to happen.

We need to clear and empty their minds about thinking bad/negative against crypto. Just to help them know that not all crypto is scams and we can avoid them if we do the research before investing.

Can anyone recommend me a safe place to store my bitcoins?
The majority are recommending a hardware wallet...
Well, I guess you already have the answer OP. But the question is if you buy hardware that is worth enough to store the amount of your Bitcoin? What I mean is that, if you have 5 BTC at least, probably you need it but if you only have 1BTC, I suggest using online wallets like electrum wallet.

For the many years that I've used Electrum wallet, never I experience being hacked, I think it was a safe wallet and it was free. Well, of course, security also matters in how you manage your keys.
2239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Crypto Signals trading on: April 11, 2022, 08:58:26 AM
I have used a lot of trading signals but the results have never guaranteed 100% profit, even I have used bots or robots for trading and have lost, this proves that the market will be difficult to predict and makes us always active to monitor prices, better profit with a small nominal rather than keep thinking the best technique.
While trading signals do not work we also need to be fair, no one can predict what the market is going to do 100% of the time, so to expect a free signal or one for which you paid a few dollars to be able to do something like this is simply impossible, and even if such a thing existed do you think it would be available to the general public? In my opinion that would have to be one of the best guarded secrets around the world, as anyone with that knowledge can become a billionaire regardless of their starting capital.
These trading signals never work actually and certainly can't find reliable signals. We can't change the nature of the market from being unpredictable. I'm not against the use of this stuff but we have to be aware of the situation that these things could never give us assurance nor guarantees profit from following them.
And besides, if these signals (paid) really work, many traders become rich. But why are many traders still poor and suffering losses even using them? This means that none of any trading signals are effective, they are just a scam trick.
2240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: April 11, 2022, 08:37:22 AM
Judging by the latest news, I noticed that the interest of NFT industry leaves a double impression. On the one hand in the same March there was a drop in interest in NFT from retail traders and those interested in this direction of the crypto industry.

We've seen a huge drop in NFT as metaverses projects come to rise stronger. The growth of Metaverse has a huge impact on the NFT's market trend. We usually could assume this was a sign of the end of hype. But I think this was not enough to draw a conclusion that these projects become devaluated in the market, however, if the declining sentiment continues for a while, that will be the time we can finally judge what they looked like in the days coming.

Let's see how they perform this 2nd quarter if their popularity and demand haven't changed or there is a huge drop occurs.
