1221  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Start of a Bull Season on Bitcoin? Or a Trap? on: January 27, 2023, 09:25:12 PM

The market is currently still recovering and accumulating again, which is what many people did when the price was still lower. Those who can take advantage of this opportunity can be said to be very lucky because the price is still low and they can continue to hold their bitcoins until the price rises high. But I'm not sure that the $25k price will be reached soon, especially since we are already at the end of January. But there is a possibility that in the next month, the price can go up higher but we don't know how high the price can go up and if it does go up high, will there be a deep correction that might occur?
The current situation is the result of a massive growth of investors during the price drop, it looks like those who never take their opportunity when the price is below $20k are now here to take the risk. Many people only have the courage to invest in Bitcoin when they see the price is increasing and this is what happens now. As long as these new investors will never dump their Bitcoin until we reach back to its peak again or just to say at least $40k, it is possible that in the next couple of month we never experience market correction but a continuous pump.
1222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 27, 2023, 11:34:26 AM
But let's see first what the first fight will bring, maybe it could be just one sided and end in less than 10 rounds and someone getting his ass knock out for good that he doesn't want to have a rematch.

In that case then there's no trilogy anymore, maybe a rematch but I'm sure it will have the same outcome since the first fight was already obvious it's just a one-sided fight. If they'll make a controversial decision in the first fight like what happened to Wilder vs Fury fight where the first fight was declared as a draw, then there are still 2 fights where Fury has dominated the KO artist.
1223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 27, 2023, 11:00:48 AM
Great opportunity for TNT bettors.

They are down 13 points at the half, but you know this team is capable of making a huge comeback.
The ML now is 3.00 and the spread is +5.5, I guess this is worth taking IMO, I should take this and the moneyline.

Betting on over 94.5 for TNT and and over 194.5 total score. (INC OT)
1224  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this be the reason for the recent rise in Bitcoin price? on: January 26, 2023, 09:50:08 PM
There was a recent report about aviation blackouts in US, Canada and the Philippines ?
...
None of these things OP.
The price of Bitcoin rises because of the increasing demand due to decreasing value of USD.

Cooling US dollar is good for Bitcoin
Another positive sign for Bitcoin price is the cooling U.S. dollar index (DXY). Historically when the DXY retracts, sentiment for risk assets like Bitcoin increases.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/why-is-bitcoin-price-up-today
I've seen a huge impact in the past few days where the value of dollars is too high, people are waiting for it to drop and started to make investments. The time has come and they are now on track. This also gives the chance for small investors to make a move and join crypto. Well, I'd see the growing business that offers and accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment as well.
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shiba inu coin, now ranked 13th in cmc on: January 26, 2023, 09:10:43 PM
Ranking should not be your only basis when investing because not all are worth to invest, especially with their hype and utility. SHIB might be the second best meme token but considering its previous manipulation it will be hard to fully trust it. Though the chance to pump is there, but the risk is too high as well so better to analyze it well, start looking for a good reason on buying and always have your limit and target price to avoid being trap and avoid losing the money.
Indeed, right?
Because even Shiba Inu will become one of the top coins in the market, still doesn't get my interest anymore. I was thinking before the potentiality of this project as it performed too well but after a few days of its existence, the true color of being a meme coin really comes out. I'd see that Dogecoin is even better than this because a project that doesn't have a reliable platform will never go far and stay long. Might we can see the price of Shiba had pump because of the said price and volume manipulation, it usually happens in shitcoins.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: January 26, 2023, 12:32:08 PM

Hehe no doubt about Manny Pacquiao, the guy hasn't faced any criticism that he avoided the fight that's why lots of people and fans are favoring him and labeling him as one of the greatest boxer in the history. Anyway, rumors will remain rumors as long as there will be no official announcement but think that the Davis-Garcia fight will materialize but for the profit discussion, Davis has got to be in the A-side even if he's already flying alone now.

That's why I miss him, he is a kind of fighter that does not care about his undefeated record, he just fight and always go for a big fight, the reason why he is one of the richest in the sports of boxing. Manny Pacquiao had already retired, but good thing he still do some exhibition fights, so we can still see him in the ring although not pro  anymore.

Davis and Garcia should show the world that they don't care about their undefeated record, they have to fight the best to entertain the fans, because the fans looks like they are robbed when a boxer is just cherry picking to ensure their win.

Manny's mindset is really of a true warrior, he doesn't care about if he has losses or not, as long as he will face the best of his division or for every division that he goes up. But the best is that he fought 3 of Mexico's great warriors, all HOF'ers and that's what makes money a legendary fighter.

As compare to the new breed like Ryan and Tank Davis who are protected by their promotions and doesn't want to see them losses because they are cash cows. But in this fight, someone will experience his first taste of defeat.

Although Bob Arum is known for milking his cash cow, he was able to give Manny Pacman a great future in boxing, and he is the main reason why Pacman is now a legend in sports of boxing. Maybe things have really change now, boxers just like to be comfortable in order to retain their belts, they don't want to risk against a fighter who have a good record, and if that will continue, this boxing industry will suffer in the long run.
1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 26, 2023, 12:11:30 PM
I almost hit my 6 teams parlay last night, I just lost on the 76ers game because I took the spread. They could have covered that already as they were leading with a decent margin, but I'm just unfortunate that they allow the Nets to come back a bit, just enough to cover the handicap.
1228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: January 23, 2023, 01:05:28 PM

How important it is to have a good mentor as well as your friend because it can make you grow,
even if you don't have a mentor, I don't think it's a problem as long as we are really determined and serious about learning,
We can use various platforms to learn trading.
Not just a good mentor but also have a long market experience in the field of trading this will give us confidence that we can get a lot of ideas more than just those people who learn a few days or weeks ago. Because if this will happen, better help yourself to learn on your own and get less advice from your friend who has less trading experience. Besides, we can't keep our mentors forever, either they leave us or we throw them away.

more experience = more learnings
We do the process, so we can reach what we wanted to happen.
1229  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 23, 2023, 11:41:13 AM
A desktop or laptop gives us a wider view which is very comfortable for us. The majority will love to do it.
However, using a phone can also be useful in some instances like you miss bringing your laptop or if you don't have one.

Well, we don't have to argue about which one is best or which is not. Because the main concern here is to gamble comfortably and probably most of us have something in common and that is to choose a wider screen and good resolutions.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of NFT on: January 23, 2023, 09:21:19 AM
NFTs are still not recovering and reaching their former glory as it is too soon for this to happen, the recovery of bitcoin has been impressive but still its price is very far away from its previous all time high, but I am sure once the market is immersed in a bull market then NFTs, meme coins and all those projects which do well when traders are willing to speculate in almost every coin will do well, it is just that this is going to take a long period of time to materialize, but make no mistake it will eventually happen.
The trend of NFT is currently down and it looks like it takes several factors to bring back the hype,
slowly indeed the price of Bitcoin is rising again even though there is still a possibility to go back down,
but at least with that I think it's good news.
Not to wonder why because these projects are already rejected by most. Nobody will spend and risks their money on a project that we are not sure where it goes, we can't make money in digital arts, they are meant for collections only, not for investment. Well, I'm not sure if there is NFT hype again, their time is over, and it is somewhat impossible to happen again. Although all of these are just a sort of market assumptions and price prediction and it can be wrong or right, still I have no courage of having them.
1231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 23, 2023, 08:45:29 AM
Well I can't deny that I would like Thurman to be able to give a big surprise, I know something I would really like, honestly the one who has the advantage here is Spence, and of course they also have a lot to lose if they lose against Thurman, so they don't I think it will only leave him so easy, however Spence is one of those boxers who will not leave anything in the air or leave eggs, he will start with everything from the beginning, I think that because of his style he will seek to make a knockout I don't know what a hunch tells me, that way they will finish sealing their supremacy (if they succeed) otherwise, I think they will be able to put on a good show.

Thurman got a big break so he will surely do everything to win on this fight.

Regardless of the contract terms here on this fight, doesn't really matter as the important thing here is, he is against a champion.

If he win, just imagine the amount of big benefits he will get. He will try to be aggressive here.

This is most likely to end up with Spence winning, probably even via knockout. This might actually even turn out an easy fight for him. If I will risk my money, it would be for Spence. But since I won't be betting on this fight, I hope that Thurman will come out with a smooth upset. He can do this. I won't be betting though. It is because the odds for Spence are not worth betting. Although it could end up in a KO victory, Spence has been winning SD and UD's in his last fights.

I don't think so, Spence maybe good, a champion and undefeated but the quality of fighter he is facing is class A. I mean he needs to have a good strategy in order to beat Thurman via KO, what I see is, if Spence will win, it could be via decision as he might be busier fighter in this fight.

Thurman has a decent record, and he also believe that his career is not over, that's why he came back to prove that he belongs to the champions league.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 23, 2023, 08:23:39 AM
What happen to the Warriors vs Nets game?

I didn't bet on this game so I didn't watch, but I checked the score and Warriors is leading by 10 points and I said that yeah, probably double digit win by the Warriors and probably those who bet on the handicap is going to win.

But when I come back later I was surprised to see the score as the Nets won by 4 points at Chase center?

I would say it's a huge upset, Warriors have a very impressive record at home and they usually are good in taking care of their lead but this team they failed my expectation. Good for you because you didn't bet this game, me, I regret betting on the Warriors because they lose, would be fine if they won and did not cover.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody else confused by the dead-coins pump ? on: January 22, 2023, 09:28:36 PM
FTX, Celsius, Voyager,  and soon Luna ( probably )... all making ridiculous gains in this BTC rally.
Meanwhile some coins with good fundamentals and strong utility ( like Chainlink ) are doing poorly...  Huh C'mon...
Well, I'm not sure if there still have investors in these coins as they are known for being a scam project. Maybe only a fool person can do that and believe them from a manipulated price movement. But I'm not going to wonder why those projects have the potential to remain on the dip. Besides, it was not the perfect time for to them in bullish, we're still in the bear market so definitely, there is no such change in their situation unless someone will manipulate the price as well. Let these shitcoins/scam coins pump, they will drop and collapse after.
1234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mini bull run or short Squeeze (manipulation) ? on: January 22, 2023, 02:01:46 PM
Also, we do not have any positive news about bitcoin recently, do we?
We don't have any but I think people have started to accumulate some which increases demand after being bothered with a number of market issues in the past few weeks. It was done and they realized that it couldn't be enough not to trust back to Bitcoin again.
Quote
In these times, the bitcoin to pump makes me wonder whether it is due to manipulation and short squeeze to liquidate many short positions opened on bitcoin?
No manipulations happen and it pumps naturally that is what I see. But it never holds long and stays in that position, many people are dumping their Bitcoin for the sake of making a profit from a few price rallies. I couldn't blame them because these people are already waiting for it, perhaps, they are short-term investors.
1235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you sell off during the 21k price breach. on: January 22, 2023, 01:33:25 PM

So are we to expect any sudden drop down to 16k again on the price of bitcoin this year or we will going through with this current 20k to 21k mark.?
Maybe the others, but I don't. May the price will drop again but I was not hopeless yet for the price of Bitcoin will stay above $18k. We have had a huge drop in the past few weeks, I think that was the bottom already. I was optimistic to see the market become stable in this year and less affected by the FUDs.

I assume that everyone had learn last year and from the previous bear season, it wasn't easy to keep holding and waiting for the next bull season but I think we have to do it.

The Jazz are reportedly open to dealing anyone besides Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler
This is something for the Utah Jazz. "Open to dealing anyone" is such a big move for them after piling up young players last season. I bet it is also a call for Clarkson to straighten up his decision about his future with the Jazz.
Their management seems to be liking big men too. Before they kept Rudy Gobert for a long time so it's not surprising if suddenly they will like to build Walker Kessler as he had been amazing this past few games with his rebounding skills and blocking capability.
Keeping Lauri Markkanen though is an obvious move, make him the face of their franchise and build a good team to support him. A good ball handler with a great passing ability will probably be best paired with him.

Damn, that might mean that they are subtly letting Jordan Clarkson go and keeping the big men in their roster. I respect that move because it's a lot easier to keep above-average players who constantly performs rather than players that are explosive and an obvious over-achiever because over time, it will be hard to keep them in terms of money and control. Lauri Markkanen is that one dude that is rarely being put in the spotlight but you can see performing despite it all. Walker Kessler, on the other hand, is a consistent player with great sense for assisting his team and helping whenever possible. Might not be the best shooter in the franchise but his blocks, rebounds, and overall rotation on the inside makes Utah Jazz a capable team.

That's good for Clarkson so he will be able to find a team that will give his demand. I believe his demand is fair with what he showed this season so far, lots of teams will surely be interested on him and I'm sure before this article was published, Clarkson already had a series of talks with the management.

So guys, where do you think Clarkson would land?
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 22, 2023, 11:27:45 AM
Northport now is undermanned, Bollick is not playing due to minor injury, but good thing is that they have a good import, a short one but very aggressive in attacking the basket. Northport is the underdog but I'm trusting them to win this game with the help of their import.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 21, 2023, 03:19:12 PM
We can put our bet now, it's already out.

In the first game, we have the Bolts who are the favorite, here are the betting odds.
Meralco 1.59
Rain or Shine 2.22
https://duelbits.com/sportsbook/home/basketball

I think we can also see James Yap return in ROS, not sure if he gets good minutes though.

In the early games, I guess betting on the underdog is a great strategy. I mean, we don't know the imports yet, although a certain team is better than the other, the most important thing to consider is the chemistry, which we haven't witnessed yet.

Rain or Shine is a good defensive team, with a good import, they will be a good team as well.

Last conference, coach Yeng wasn't really that effective, hopefully, this time he will bring back the old days when his team is going to the championship.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 21, 2023, 02:50:17 PM
Wild Lakers win, Grizzlies thought that they are cruising into the game, but the Lakers didn't give up and made defensive stops specially in the last 4 minutes of the game. I think it was just the breaks for them, Dennis with a steal and then the go ahead basket and lead.
That was too careless for the Memphis, they are a good team but this is a big problem as it only showed their lack of maturity.
For them to win in close game, they have to execute the play very well, focus and don't panic.

Brandon Clarke missing the 2nd free throw that could have tied the game.

So the 11 game winning streak has been put on a stop by the Lakers.

That was a big one, maybe he was just pressured, and I think he is not a good FT shooter as well.
1240  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 21, 2023, 12:39:38 PM
We all can be rich but what tied us to being poor is our mentality, we need to change our way of thinking and reasoning and get new orientation to position us the normal way we should think and live our lives, we are not expected to feel inferior with the way of our life, we must be courageous and remained determined for success no matter the price required, it's what will change our lives for a better tomorrow if we set the mindset right on a good positioning to work in our favour in whatsoever thing we do in life
Nobody wants to be poor actually but can't hide the reality that even how much you think about improving your living and becoming rich if you really don't have the capacity to do it like no education, no capital to start a business, etc...You can really think that mindset won't save you from becoming poor forever.

The level of thinking varies with the status of our living. Of course, rich people could think bigger and more about positivity while poor people had only think about how to survive and live happily together.
