1241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you feel about market recovery on: January 21, 2023, 10:58:48 AM
Honestly, I don't feel that we are in the recovery period, I'm not yet convinced with the current market performance. I'd look at the past bear season and it never ended that fast like 1 year. I don't say this is a bull trap but I really expecting a dump after this, it is something we need to be more careful buying today. But if this will continue to move high like reaching $30k for Bitcoin, maybe that was the time would change my mind. But for now, I still consider this as usual market changes, the volatile nature of the market.
That is okay, we do not have to convince everyone to join right away on the first day. If we convince enough people everyday, we will keep going up, and if you are not one of those today, you could be when it reaches 25k, or could be one at 30k. We will need more people to keep on buying to go up, and that means it's going to be a bit of a trouble when the times comes.

Hence it's going to be an issue if we get all the people who want to buy today, because they would buy it now, and it would be over, then we will go back down. I will buy today, you will buy tomorrow, and the other person will buy the next day and it could go up this way much better and stronger.
We convince people to buy Bitcoin but we can't force them either. I know the potentiality of Bitcoin but investing them at the wrong time will make you lose as well, especially if you are impatient. Maybe it was not the issue if we buy today but what is important is that we are also cautious with our actions as the market trend keeps on changing and we are not sure if the price increase will continue and give you a profit from buying today.
Buying is not only a factor that could increase the price but also it matters if these investors are willing to hold. What will happen if they dump their coins when seeing the decline?

Ethereum Shocks the World: Half a Million Validators and Rising, Is Ethereum the Next Crypto King Or BTC?

No, I don't really think this could surprise the people around. ETH has already been known in the market by its price and position, and those numbers couldn't change anything. This coin will remain following Bitcoin and being in the 2nd position is already good enough to think about the potential it has in the crypto world. People are happy about what happened, the transition is also showing good, the developer has no ambition to make his project become number but instead of maintaining its position as #2.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 20, 2023, 12:31:51 PM

And since the fight is lock now, it's time for David to show what he is capable of against Caleb.

Maybe after he won, and calls out Alvarez, we shall see if Canelo will fight him next or go to an easy tune up fight against John Ryder.

Canelo is not that kind of a fighter, he would not go on a easy route, in fact, he tried to move up in weight and fight a champion, so I'm expecting that he will use his time very well and that being said, he will fight the winner of this bout.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 20, 2023, 12:14:35 PM
This is a great fight for Inoue, fighting against a champion and undefeated, this is surely not an easy fight for him. However, despite my belief that it's not an easy fight, I would still be rooting for him to win, simply because I followed his career and I find him exciting to watch.
1245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is risky, be conscious on: January 20, 2023, 10:58:38 AM
Over the time, I've seen people wanting to go into trading because they feel or think is a get rich quick scheme but get so disappointed along the process because the result they get isn't what was expected.
I actually don't see any problem thinking to become rich in trading but the perception of thinking to become rich instantly was a wrong idea. We can't underestimate the market volatility which is why we should make ourselves prepared so well otherwise we can't achieve our goal.
Quote
Trading is a very lucrative business but also a very risky business as well and as such should be done with so much caution.
What would be your advice for those wanting to trade as a newbie?
Definitely, a risky business that is why we don't just put trading like gambling. We are supposed to take extra caution when doing in order to get what we wanted to happen and of course, to avoid big losses.
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 19, 2023, 09:47:49 PM
We all have to know that scammers will stop and can find another way to trick people no matter what happens. And if we are too careless enough and not doing dip research in investing in new projects, probably we fall into them. Even the situation where we already know their tactics but sometimes we got mistakes because of their promises. Honestly, it was really hard to control your greed and emotions if someone offer you big money to earn. This scenario has repeatedly happened but from what I can see, many are still not able to escape from getting tempted and losing their money.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 19, 2023, 01:14:54 PM

Fajardo? As long as he is dominant, they will not trade him. Under the table? There is a high chance that it is happening, but we don't have any evidences and the only thing that we have is theories.
Exactly, Fajardo is 33 years old, and I think that is still young. Most of the players that are traded are not in the center position, Look at Hugnatan and Reavis, they are already 40 years old or over, but they are still playing with the team, and we all know that Fajardo is better then them.

He is also injury prone now but at least when he comes back he can still deliver the numbers he used to deliver. Fajardo will definitely stay, they won championships with him, SMB will not throw away their precious player. They can trade CJ and keep Fajardo as whoever gets JMF will surely be a very good team, what if Ginebra will get JMF? How can you beat that team?
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 19, 2023, 11:32:13 AM
The Mavericks are building a team around him so he has the power to demand the whole management to be active in trades. He's like Le-GM Version 2.0 now. Kidding Cheesy.

He will eventually become like LeBron who will have a huge influence inside the management.
I think it's too early for that for his career to bring a demand like that, he has not proven anything yet, like carrying his team to the finals, like what LeBron did in 07, until he realized he's not getting any help from the Cavs management.
The Mavs are in a better spot right now. Luka just need to make his teammates getting involved more offensively.

Here's to hoping that Luka won't end up demanding a lot from the management and getting all the attention get up to his head. He's still getting better each time, and we haven't seen prime Luka Doncic yet. Hopefully the Mavs management take advantage of their current position while Luca is still happy with the current setup and build the team around him with better teammates that has the offensive power and can make plays for him as well. The man also needs to be more active in terms of leadership in order to have his team motivated to play instead of just relying on himself to win games for the team.

Not sure if he is happy or not, he is still very young and probably not demanding any at this point. But there will be a time that he might ask Cuban to surround him with better role players, who can really help and contribute not just playing just for the sake of being in the team.

He already shows that he can carry the team, but it's not always that he will have to do that because his body can only take so much in the grueling 82 games and then we have the playoff.

He probably is demanding a star player like him, like what Lebron, Durant, and Curry have at the moment. Luka alone will make him predictable, and I'm pretty sure he will just always try in the playoffs but he will not be even be in the WCF.
1249  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino BTC game development on: January 16, 2023, 12:30:59 PM
I don`t think that it is good deal. The price is small enough but you get script without any guarantees from the OP. If i remember right, it is the standard price to the basic casino script. I don`t see here smth unusual that makes me risk buying script from the unknown programmer.
PS. It doesn`t mean that the OP is the cheater. But i think he need to get some reputation firstly.

It's either work out of desperation or there are some undisclosed security holes. I wouldn't trust it, unless I was an experienced programmer who could audit the code and patch anything up prior to using.
Surely it is so. The unknown software from unknown author can`t give you any guarantees. And you can lose all your money some moment using it. The quality programmer first of all gives link to his github repository their we can see his other works and what changes he makes. Here we can not only lose 0.01BTC but also lose the other money, that you have.
We're worried about the legitimacy of this platform and it is very important to see it before putting money to gamble. Maybe we could accept losing in gambling but not because the site owner takes our money from us without enjoying it.
It is not to wonder why many gamblers are afraid to try but yes, we can't risk anymore if we are not sure what gonna happen to our money in them.
Well, we could hope that OP tried to make everything right and was able to listen to the experience of those who give their try because it was very important in order to have a glimpse of what they needed to work out.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 16, 2023, 11:39:07 AM
I'm expecting a close game in 4th quarter when Ginebra starting to miss their 3s and Bay Area slowly closing in but Gin Kings is able to maintain a 2-digit lead. Bay Area struggles in the free throw line until 4th quarter. Jamie Malonzo's points in 3rd quarter really helped Ginebra a lot. I'm expecting more from Bay Area. I'm kinda disappointed, there's no much help from other players. Still, Congrats to bettors of Ginebra.

Bay are just playing their game, they don't have a bad game actually, it's just that Ginebra are suddenly becoming a very good team, they do it at the right timing, their shooting percentage is very high, and not only Brownlee who are contributing, the locals are also giving their best to have a good lead.

Yes, Bay Area were able to trim the lead of Ginebra, courtesy of Myles Powell, but that charge was still short though, Ginebra still win the game.

Bad decision by the coach of Bay Area, they didn't play Powell with heavy minutes knowing this is the last game. If only he was given a chance to played heavy minutes, certainly there's a good chance they can make it a close game and maybe win the game. If only Nicholson wasn't injured, things could be different, I mean Ginebra can still win but it will not be a blowout win.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 16, 2023, 11:11:40 AM
I didn't parlay with the Lakers, but it could have been perfect for me if I also decided to take the plus side and not just the ML, like I did with OKC on it's games against the Nets.
Lakers almost won but the spread was easily covered.

Anyhow, I will take that win, Lol, they are the underdog. But you know how OKC is specially SGA and Josh Giddey as well as they load the Thunder with 28 points a piece. We didn't saw the Bulls winning against the Warriors as well, how can you stop Vucevic though? 42 points for the big guy.
Another top team slayed by the OKC. This team is so underrated, they are always listed as underdog but they always give good competition and win. Just like the Magic, they almost upset the Nuggets, good thing Joker had that winning shot.

1253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the Whales Control bitcoin price? on: January 15, 2023, 09:52:23 PM
If a group of large Bitcoin holders, referred to as "whales," were to own 51% of the total supply of Bitcoin, they would have significant influence over the price of Bitcoin, as they could potentially manipulate the market by selling large amounts of their holdings at once. However, they would not have control over the Bitcoin network itself as they would not have the majority of the mining power which is required to to double spend or reverse transactions, and potentially manipulate the integrity of the blockchain. Thus, decentralization would still exist as the network relies on multiple participants to validate transactions and confirm blocks.

It can't deny their huge influence in the market due to the huge amount of their control but never be enough to say that whales are having full control of the market. I still believe that Bitcoin is decentralized and whale's participation gives some interesting look at the market which also helps to move prices up and down. Whether we like it or not, manipulation really happens but we never make this as an excuse not to trust Bitcoin and we have to stop thinking that it was already controlled by a group of people (whales).
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beginner question about transaction fee on: January 15, 2023, 09:26:40 PM
Transaction fees may vary depending on the network load, not on the price, it will up and down as well but never confuse sats and Gwei.

Yes, it was very unfortunate that the ETH gas fee (Gwei) is high compared to before the upgrade. We are really disappointed about it and Mr. Vitalik already knows about this but never had the chance to change it and give the favor to the users. This is big deal actually for small investors and sometimes it happens that we send funds that are smaller amount than the transaction fees.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 15, 2023, 11:23:16 AM

Dame had one of his best games and so is Grant and Nurkic a quiet 22 points. Simons though and Sharpe could be the key difference for the Portland in this game as they really put a big help for Dame.

Dame always have the best game, I mean he is a real superstar, he can drop 30 points easily. But this time, they finally won a game after a long drought, good for them and I'm hoping they will start a winning streak as they are already behind in the standing. Rank number 11 now with 20-22 record, they will not even qualify in the play-in tournament if they'll stay at that standing.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 15, 2023, 11:09:56 AM
61-39 half time score.

Looks like Ginebra is having an easy journey winning the championship. Well, it's not over yet but usually the 1st half belongs to the Bay Area, so what happened to this team, are they intimidated by the huge number of crowd? The shooting percentage of Ginebra is also high, they are shooting well outside, so that's another advantage they have in the 1st half.

Will this game still end in a close game?
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: January 14, 2023, 09:55:05 PM
Have you checked your BNB right now? I hope you didn't sell yet after two days because right now the price of BNB is better.

BNB is one of the top altcoins, even if there's a fud I still see its future on a good side and with that I'm also planning to increase my holdings even on its current price because this is not a bull run yet and we might see a better price in the next few months.

Don't sold if you don't need the money, there's no better NFTs compare to BNB, I'll still choose it over the other project.
This is the point, if you are worried about the prices and all that, and suddenly the price changes in a much better way, you would regret it. This is why I am a long term investor because having time on my side would mean that I get to do whatever I want to do and not really have to worry about anything at all.

Too many people are worried about the situation we are in and that's a bad thing because we shouldn't really worry about a bear market, we should be hyped about it. You get to buy cheap, and in days like this you get to make a profit and in the end it's going to be even higher when the time comes. This is why it's such an important thing.
I've found out that the more we check on the market price and our portfolio, the more it affects our mindset and even influences our decisions which commonly results in worries. That is why I become seldom check during the bear season and it is because I was confident that I'm investing the right coins. In fact, BNB is still in the top 5 coins in the market which mean that even if the market will drop more, the chance is high to recover as well. Holding them until the bull season comes is not regretting but surely a big reward awaits us.
1258  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 14, 2023, 12:38:09 PM

To make a living, we must work. In uncertain days like now facing the global economic downturn, a stable job with high income becomes a scarcity. A side job or business seems like more necessary than ever, which can minimize the risks of losing your current job, ending up pennyless. However, a side job/business also takes time and efforts and can never be attained whenever we need it. What did you do or will you do in order to ensure your finanical stability despite all unfavorable circumstances ?
There is one way to keep our finances stable despite the economic failure and that is to multiply our sources of income.
Many people had worked hard, relying solely on their job but as we can see these people are still suffering in debt due to inflation and their salary isn't enough to cover all expenses and basic needs. I know we don't need to risk our health due to extended time working but something it looks like we need to do this just to fill all our needs otherwise, we die of hunger and have no better future for our children.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 14, 2023, 11:13:50 AM
The game is now listed in stake.

Odds are
BGSM: 1.52
BAD: 2.38
Sportsbet has a bettor odds for Ginebra, it.s 1.64 and they are only -2.5 to win.
It's still to early, we don't know, maybe there are some changes in this game, or maybe this game will went to OT, also consider betting that, there's a huge odds for that.

It's not anymore, they adjusted the betting odds already, if you were able to bet early, then you will have that opportunity to get that odds. I'm checking now, it's already -4.5, and same spread with duelbits and stake. Anyway, I think they can still manage that considering the crowd are cheering for them.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 14, 2023, 10:37:20 AM
And winning against the Clippers is no joke. Murray and Porter Jr. are now healthy, they are a different team now.
So true, that's why I am also amazed at how they ended it. Closing games in a good lead had been an issue for many teams today and yet they did it perfectly without letting the Clippers have a run.
If this keeps up, they don't need to overuse Jokic and injuries can be prevented as Coach Michael Malone could now rotate his players and rest them well. Having a deep bench will do a lot of things for them.
Exactly, that's their problem last season, they are heavily reliant on Jokic that's why their big man will be exhausted in the 4th quarter. But there was no Murray and Porter last season IIRC, so it's really a huge upgrade that these two are healthy.
