2241  Economy / Speculation / Re: xmas = volatility on: December 24, 2013, 09:48:31 PM
Low volume = high volatility. If china released bad news and America wasn't online to buy, it could get messy
2242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FZ] FROZEN Giveaway - 1-10 Coins Each! on: December 24, 2013, 09:47:10 PM
I'm looking pretty good for the 100 frozen bonus, if no one else enters will you actually draw my name out of a hat?!!
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU | No-Premine | Rare | Fast Transactions | Easy To Mine on: December 24, 2013, 09:45:18 PM
I can fulfill 3000 for that order. My price is 0.0015BTC per.
Is that a fair going rate? It's pretty expensive if it is.. 1000 for 1.5 btc, market cap of about 3000 btc (2.1 mill)it seems high.
2244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spots [SPT] | Next coin going on WorkForCrypto.com | Win | Mac | Linux | on: December 24, 2013, 09:41:36 PM
I asked him if Spots is dead, he said no, they have plans for bullion crypto coins only buyable with spots.
As a pre December craziness, not premined, not mined out in no time coin, it has the specs of a coin that should be supported. We just need igotspots to sort of the few issues and it'd be good to go.
2245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spots [SPT] | Next coin going on WorkForCrypto.com | Win | Mac | Linux | on: December 24, 2013, 09:29:05 PM
Its fairly crazy that he isnt responding in this thread, he answered a pm from me fairly quickly, but doesn't seem bothered by this thread
2246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Channel breakout? on: December 24, 2013, 12:35:28 PM
I hate technical analysis, when it does something unexpected, then new lines will be drawn and everyone will say that is makes sense. Its a nice retrospective tool though.
2247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 24, 2013, 12:33:35 PM
As a global currency surely Xmas shouldn't be that important for bitcoin...
2248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EarthCoin at Cryptsy on: December 24, 2013, 12:29:24 PM
Can the premining owner of the coin not offer a bribe to get it on? Then he can dump it when the price is high.
2249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DIME] Dimecoin | Many Coins | Step Reward | CPU mining on: December 24, 2013, 12:27:59 PM
Well there should be plenty available for give aways with an 8% premine.
2250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 24, 2013, 12:23:01 PM
If Quark payments is as good as it looks, it could be a game changer.
2251  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: December 24, 2013, 10:10:17 AM
So they are definitely using neobee, good. I hope bitcoin stys low until you start up properly, then you'll be sorted.
2252  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking to sell my forum account for btc. Is there any interest in this? on: December 24, 2013, 10:07:08 AM
But like someone else said, you will be facilitating scammers.
2253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Chicoin CHI - Scrypt based Coin of Energy Force | Launched on: December 24, 2013, 12:21:31 AM
Premine:almost zero. Definitely needs elaborating upon
2254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quark discussed on Keiser Report w Bill Still on: December 24, 2013, 12:13:18 AM
I don't agree about the instamining, bu I don't have a good answer either.
The fact that alts weren't popular when quark was released shouldn't be held against it and most quark clones are worse than quark itself for fairness. Still the distribution isnt good for a coin that advertises how well distributed it is.
2255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite alt-coin? on: December 24, 2013, 12:09:46 AM
Primecoin at the moment, but it could be made so much more useful.
The wasted mining power for other just seems crazy.

Hopefully curecoin will be soon.
2256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new Alt production line ongoing trend on: December 23, 2013, 07:46:54 PM
I blame quark. As it went from dead and worthless to massive and worth lots in no time, now everyone is willing to mine any old rubbish hoping to strike it rich. Who knows, maybe my 475757743358 scam coins will be worth loads in the future....
2257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DIME] Dimecoin | Many Coins | Step Reward | CPU mining on: December 23, 2013, 05:42:13 PM
Premined quark clone? Yawn.
2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ATO] Atom - Our craziest release yet - CPU mining BIG GIVEAWAYS v0.9.4.3 on: December 23, 2013, 05:38:47 PM
Premine is bad because essentially the only released 90% of the coins. If the coin gets onto an exchange he can (and will) dump his coins and stop developing the coin.  He will have made loads of money with no risk and little work, then he can start yet another coin.

If a coin is good it will succeed anyway. Premine just allows lots of give aways, advertising (the pump) then the inevitable dump. You are mining just to make him wealthier. Non-premined coins are run by people who want the project as a whole to succeed, not just pump it and dump it.
2259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED] *EarthCoin* Is Here To Make A Splash For 2014! on: December 23, 2013, 01:15:28 PM
lol, was not bitcoin instamined? And many top contendors have been a bit premined. I dont get what the problem is, if there is 13,500,000,000 coins in total those 270,000,000 isnt really that much, its not enough to control the market anyways. But whatever, haters gonna hate right?
If you can choose, then why not choose a not premined coin? There are 10 new coins a day, the fair ones should take preference.
Comparing with established coins or currencies is a bit pointless, newer should be better, not the same or worse, otherwise let's just stick with the $
2260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: December 23, 2013, 12:12:47 PM
DO people not realize that all of these coins are just used to get the makers more btc? Pretty soon there is going to be so many that it's going to crash the internet with millions of blockchains. This is how it goes I make new coin get about 500 million of them get some people to start mining get it up on an exchange sell all my coins for btc and make a nice profit in a few months when I have traded all my coins I will abandon my purpose for making the coin as the purpose will be fulfilled. I understand the reasoning behind new coins because the difficulty has gotten so hi on the ones that are worth anything people are desperately hoping a new coin will give them the chance at what they missed out on that's why I went to Betacoin 11gh doesn't get you much with btc so I thought I would give another one a chance.

We're all guilty, but it is getting crazy.  You even say tht beta coin is worth a go. The post after yours is just after a trade out opportunity too. I guess it's a very capitalist society in the alts forum, it's certainly a long way from the origins of bitcoin.
