Jealousy and selfishness would be my answers. People hate others that do well for themselves, or are doing better than they are , the stronger, fasters, smarter etc are usually disliked.
Selfishness because most of the traits and things that people do that we hate, we do ourselves! Look in a traffic jam, if someone switched lane in front of you, you hate them, but then we you switch lanes you hate the person who won't let you in!

It's not really like Bitcoin though is it? It is more like a convertable 2nd currency, so that they can print themselves out of troubles, then at their leisure pay back what they owe in euros in the future.
I don't think it would work, and it sounds like a default by another name. They should just leave the euro and start a fresh.

Top Canadian bitcoin exchange Cavirtex is expected to resume trading following its acquisition by New York platform Coinsetter. The news comes after Cavirtex announced it was planning to shut down operations in March following a breach that compromised security information including password hashes the previous month. Jaron Lukasiewicz, now CEO of both Coinsetter and Cavirtex, said measures had been taken to remove the possibility of an event like this happening again. READ HERE: http://www.coindesk.com/canadian-bitcoin-exchange-cavirtex-reopens-following-coinsetter-acquisition/Trust has been lost, I hope if they do re-open that they do it under the Coinsetter name, I personally won't put money into Cavirtex.. I have used them in the past, and they seemed solid, but they apparently weren't. New measures are all good and well, but do they have new staff too? The old ones weren't good enough at their jobs.

We always compare bitcoin with the early personal computer, or the early internet, or the early automobile or electricity. We say how there were many people who were against these inventions, but they ended up changing the world. These were the success stories.
How many such potentially world-changing technology did not make it past that stage? Is the success rate really 100% or close to it? On one hand, that seems to be possible, given the world-changing nature of it. But if a potentially world-changing technology didn't get past a certain stage, most of us would have never heard of it anyway, so we don't know that it failed.
It's kind of like how we only hear of the successful entrepreneurs like Zuckerberg or Bill Gates, but in reality many more fail.
This question brings two discussions.
1. If the success rate of world-changing technology is actually not that high, can we really be confident that bitcoin will pull through? Of course we're under the assumption here that bitcoin really is a world-changing technology.
2. Are we, as humans, potentially hundreds of years behind where we could've been, had all the potentially world-changing technology became mainstream? Maybe we'd be all living lives we can only dream of now. Think of how many great opportunities you missed in your life, and how that would've changed your life. Perhaps those missed opportunities are completely insignificant compared to the missed opportunities of man-kind. And it's not like how we don't yet have the technology to create a perfect AI, or cure aging. Rather these are opportunities that could've happened. Someone really developed it, but we, as humans, simply failed to see the benefits and threw it away.
I can only give laserdisks, minidisks, betamax and DVD-Rs as examples of new technologies that didn'tv take off as expected, but they were all immediately superceded by techmnology that did the same thing. Conchorde is an example of a backwards step in technology, as we used to fly supersonic, and now we don't (which sucks), but otherwise I can't personally think of any examples of a great new tech that didn't take off, or get superceded by something similar very quickly.. google glass mayby, but that's stupid!

Here are some tips:
- Find out how Bitcoin trading through LocalBitcoins is treated by your country. Find out the maximum amount you are allowed to trade. If it's illegal. Don't do it! - Don't trade high volumes. LE looks exactly for that and they will also buy from you big amounts. LE is allowed to do that, don't forget about it. - If your customer says, he will use the bitcoins for anything illegal, then don't sell it to him. No matter how much you could earn. Don't do it! Even if your business is legal and you pay tax - Simply don't.
Anything more to add?
Wait wait a second here. So the title of this thead is "LE is using LocalBitcons as a honeypot to trap criminals - What to do?", and you give tips to actually help the criminals who may be doing crimes like sex trafficking, drug trafficking, money laundering, and more? OP, I hope you go to jail for a very long ass time. Trading money with someone so that they can do something illegal, isn't illegal. If someone sells me his watch, and then goes and buys drugs with that money, I am not to blame for the drugs trade, otherwise employers would be in a lot of trouble all the time! He also explicitly says that if they want to do anything illegal, you should not sell to them. These are fair and reasonable tips to someone trading on local bitcoins legitimately. It sounds like localbitcoins will be gone soon enough, or replaced by something less easy to track. It's a shame really.

Huobi seems to have gone lower than Bitfinex today, and the order book on finex also looks rather empty on the ask side, compared to the bid side and the ask side on Huobi, which is rather balanced in comparison.
Personification and assuming that single whales are controlling the market are two of the 2 weird ideas of these boards... These moves are more than likely due to trading bots working on each exchange, they follow money and can then move the prices in large jumps. These moves can be just on one exchange as a small price move is exacerbated by the bots jumping in after the first move.

I got money in Cyprus bank but it's in North Cyprus. There's also the biggest Btc Exchange in Turkey which is registered in Cyprus. I would never use South Cyprus banks even they lift capital controls though. If I want my income to remain anonymous about my fiat money I prefer Swiss banks. I remember economic crisis helped Bitcoin's peak in April 2013. There were so much drama in Bitcointalk about frozen bank accounts. Tough days for some people. It's good that it's over now.
A bank from Northern Cyprus? I don't see that as safe since this country doesn't even exist in most maps. Do they pay interest on your savings? Are SEPA transfers cheap? I won't open an account there, but I'm just curious. It does exist, as an occupied area of Cyprus! ;-) It sounds like good news for Cypriots, I agree that it will be hard to trust the government and banks again, but capital controls are not a good answer to their problems, so demoing hem can only be a good thing.

I personally wouldn't use avatar advertising but I can see why some people could want it. If I had to vote? No some people might want to join avatar advertising if they started it to earn some more coins. An addition I would like to see is the payout date. This is likely stored in the same DB that the other info on the bitsig site is retreived from, and its one more <?php echo $row['paydate'] ?> Its not hard to add and its VERY useful for all the people asking "when will we get paid"
agree to this. some might really want to know how much time left from when they will get their payments. showing this wouldnt be a problem i guess A date or a countdown would be awesome, both would be even better. I never know EXACTLY when I get paid but I know its on a tuesday a couple hours ago every week. I guess the bot can be a bit delayed so they don't want people scared when there time comes and no payment yet. On a side note there is 0.4 left in the sig campaign wallet... Why do you need to know exactly when you will be paid? If it is always on Tuesday morning, is that not good enough? Even if they put a counter on the bot page, it will still depend on if the wallet is funded, if they have checked through your posts, if bitcointalk is available and how long the transaction takes to confirm.. As long as I get paid fairly promptly, it's fine by me, keep up the good work marco

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-32202768Greece Nazi occupation: Athens asks Germany for 279bn eurosThe Greek government says Germany owes Greece nearly €279bn (£204bn; $303bn) in war reparations for the Nazi occupation during World War Two. It is the first time Greece has officially calculated what Germany allegedly owes it for Nazi atrocities and looting during the 1940s. However, the German government says the issue was resolved legally years ago. Has anyone actually seen a breakdown of where these figures come from? Greece doesn't have a very big or strong economy, I think it is around 100€billion GDP. So they would be claiming that the entire country was stopped for nearly 3 years to get to the 279€billion figure quoted. Maybe that is actually how they have worked it out, but it wouldn't be a very fair way to do it.

I'm not usually too big on these stories, like in Ferguson, it is hard to say if the person was being threatening to the cop or not. In this case it is pretty disgusting. The policeman in question needs to go to jail for murder, plain and simple.
I do think there is some stereotyping by the police, if you see 100 black youths with guns, you probably assume the 101st has one too, but they can't shoot people in the back and not go to jail.

Where does this wasted water go? We learned in school that there is a water cycle, and when we use water, it goes through the pipes and ends up in a water treatment facility, they treat the water and it comes back. Even if you use lots of water on your garden, it will go through the ground and return to a river, or evapourate and come back as rain... it seems like it might be something else going on that can explain why water is disappearing and not coming back. I think leaky pipes and poor efficiency from water companies is to blame, not us... it's much easier to blame the little guy though, just like with CO2 emissions.

I am not sure if so called safehavens like bitcoin will respond much to isolated geopolitical events at this point.
I don't even agree that bitcoin trades as a safehaven! Gold and silver do, but bitcoin doesn't track with them. Greece will default, it is just a matter of when, they have too much debt and it is impossible for them to pay. Leaving the € is the answer, it is also obvious that it is the answer, but they don't want to do it, so they have to play this stupid game of kick the can down the road, until someone mans up and makes them leave.

suppose you sign in many faucet websites, stay online for approximately 15 hours a day for a week. raping the faucet cashout and captcha solving MANUALLY. no bots involved.
how much will you earn at the end of the week?
i have been trying to understand faucets. how much you can make out of faucets a week. every person will have a different answer since there over a dozen if not more faucet websites that you can earn.
taking into consideration that we are spending 15hours on btc and ltc faucets altogether for 7 days in a row.
Faucets are a joke, don't waste your time on them. They all offer thousands of satoshis, but in USD terms they offer less than 1c per hour, if you find a god one. Ask yourself, would you waste your time for 15h a day clicking on some crappy website, to earn a quarter? Of course you wouldn't, don't let the small denominations trick you, 1 million picodollars is also near worthless!

Where can you buy this CLAM anyway, only at that poloniex? I guess it's for short time holding isn't it? Why would a casino make its own altcoin btw, I still don't get it... For regulatory reasons it is useful. I don't think JD made CLAMS either, I think they picked it out to use on JD as the alt of choice. Dooglus didn't feel comfortable having so many Bitcoin in his hands, so decided to use a low value Alt instead (correct me if I am wrong) Dooglus is trustworthy and the returns are pretty consistent, it is still very much a trade though, it could be worthless in the near future, no one knows. If you have bitcoin sitting unused, you could do worse imo.

Saudi Arabia and its allies are once again providing the ISIS breathing space by attacking its enemies. The Houthis had almost defeated the ISIS in Yemen. Now thanks to the Saudi strikes, the Islamist fighters are reclaiming the lost territories. Shameless Saudis.
I see it a little differently. ISIS is like the wildcard in the region, there are the various governments and rebels, then somewhere in the wild, not supporting either side is ISIS. When the Government and Rebels are strong, ISIS gets pushed back, but then the Government and Rebels clash, weakening each other and allowing ISIS to flourish. Once the fight between the Rebels and Government is over, they can both concentrate on ISIS again, pushing them back, until they choose to fight each other again! ISIS isn't a big danger in the region, if a government really decided to do something about them, they could, but they seem content to mess round in various squabbles instead!

I have lost some through depreciation, actual bitcoins lost is a different thing though. I lost 0.8 BTC when gox when to hell, though it is not impossible that one day I get a percentage of that back.
I lost some alts when MCXnow screwed everyone over the first time, but otherwise I have been lucky.
I have traded about 5BTC with someone who later went rogue, and I invested in Neo and Bee, but sold out at a slight loss way before he ran off with the investors money!
It's an adventure alright!

every single story written no matter wat the website could have their own unique address
for donations, it could also be loaded with a code for prepayment
youtube videos could also do the same
Not sure it is necessary, it seems like it would be extra admin for the website owners. If I had 300 youtube videos, I would like all of my tips/income to come to the same address where I can easily spend it/exchange it. Having 300 addresses would be a bit of a pain I guess

There is too much investment in Bitcoin, it is a matter of time until a break-out occurs. Then we can have all the same technical analysis showing that is fits a pattern perfectly!
I think the price is crazily low at the moment, it is easier and easier to invest, stock markets are peaking, bonds yield nothing, money will come to bitcoin and the price will rise. I predict $400 by July
