2241  Other / Off-topic / Re: what other languages do you like to learn? on: November 12, 2015, 09:18:22 PM
I speak English, Spanish, and some Arabic. But I like the Idea of learning an obscure language then visiting the place it's spoken. It would freak out the villagers when a random white guy shows up and greets them in their own language.

If the future when China become the most powerful country and USA as 2nd most powerful. Taiwan would unite China without any war.

without democracy PRCHINA has no chance to be the most powerful nation in the world, it goes without saying that
I wish history was like a that. With poetic justice for all. But to be the world leader you need only be powerful. Not kind, not just, only power matters and China already is the most powerful nation on Earth.
2244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions confirmation on: November 11, 2015, 09:20:31 PM
As the bulk of bitcoins are produced miners will increasingly earn BTC from routing transactions and depend less and less on block rewards. That is the system described by Satoshi in the white paper. Simple and elegant.
2245  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: November 11, 2015, 06:50:14 PM
If you want real control of your gun and want more accuracy then you might be interested in the videos made by Ryan Cleckner. He does a great job of explaining the many complex factors in shooting long range. Below is an example as he explains shooting at angles. Many shooters forget to calculate this.

All this can be explained by ignorance. The louder and more fervent a troll is the less he/she tends to know about the subject. It can be frustrating but consider that those people have no real power and, along with their stupid ideas, are going nowhere further than their Mom's basement.  Wink
2247  Economy / Speculation / Re: who is messing with bitcoin and to what purpose? on: November 11, 2015, 05:27:22 PM
I don't think bitcoin is being messed with. This is just what a free and unregulated market looks like. The stock market of the 1800's was wild like this also. If you want a steady and predictable market just introduce controls. But is that what we really want?

Remember that bitcoin is not your friend and was not created to make you rich. It is what it is, and users will act in their own self interest. Not for the common good and certainly not to help out with your aspirations.

2249  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I'm loking for Investors or Buyers! on: November 10, 2015, 05:30:11 PM
Where is your business licensed and registered?
Who are the principals and financial officers that are responsible for the money?
Who is your insurance through?
What collateral does the company have?
Those are some of the things you will need to include in a business plan. It will have to be very detailed and explain exactly how the money will be used. You will not be able to keep it a secret before investing. Just have potential investors sign an NDA before the pitch.

2250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Death by thousand cuts on: November 10, 2015, 05:24:24 PM
So in other words, you're some douchebag making tons of throwaway accounts every day constantly spamming that the price is going to go down and people are supposed to believe you're doing this out of "charity" to help others rather than hidden motives, yea sure, everyone really believes you.

What? But the price is going down. $150 in less than a week. Its not fud to post the truth is it?
It is also the truth that bitcoin is up $100 in a month. That is approaching 30% in a month! Miles ahead of the profits found in any other market. And if you back up and look at a 5 year scale it is one of the fastest growing assets this century. Those are facts also.

When you start playing with numbers, newest shitcoins on the scene become "the fastest growing assets this century" (going from zero to $0.000001 is infinite growth).

>at a 5 year scale it is one of the fastest growing assets this century
Who told you that? Have you heard about MAVROSergey Mavrodi's ponzi moved up to $10 BILLION in actual money, not bitcoin's $5 billion paper 'market cap' (try selling a million BTC to understand what I mean by 'paper').
What? You provide a ponzi as an example of an asset that grew faster? I guess if we were discussing apples you would have posted an orange. You can post what ever nonsense you wish. The war is over and bitcoin won. Your criticisms are sooooo 2011.  Wink

“Virtual currency, where it’s called a bitcoin vs. a U.S. dollar, that’s going to be stopped,” said Dimon. “No government will ever support a virtual currency that goes around borders and doesn’t have the same controls. It’s not going to happen.”

LOL, he thinks we need permission. lol

2255  Other / Off-topic / Re: Comparison of operating systems on: November 06, 2015, 06:42:46 PM
I know that is provocative, but windows is not open source and so I have no idea what it is doing or who has the backdoor keys. I would assume China has access to all win computers as well as all spy agencies. I try to ONLY run open source software that I compile myself. Otherwise I would be operating on hope, trust and hearsay.  That is not the bitcoin way. I like to operate on math.
While this is definitely way too much for the average man, or even the average tech savvy person, I understand your point of view. Without the source code you can not tell what could be inside of a OS/software. It is very hard to determine if something is fishy with it as well. Most people will find you too paranoid though. I know that there are a lot of weird things with windows (e.g .NSAKEY).

I think your right. I have become more paranoid since using BTC. It provides an incentive for crooks to get into my network. The powerful incentive of cash. I also like Linux more. Windows machines seem to always be running that CPU doing God knows what.

2256  Other / Off-topic / Re: What apps do you use that take BTC? on: November 06, 2015, 06:26:35 PM
Apparently Wiper used to do that but they had some problems, never used it though, it's android/ios app.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gowiper.android&hl=en
Hey that's a good example. Messenger, Voip, and a bitcoin wallet all rolled together. Thanks!
2257  Other / Off-topic / Re: What apps do you use that take BTC? on: November 06, 2015, 06:16:39 PM
I have been using Sure Spot messenger for a while now and I love it. It is open source and features end-to-end encryption. Like some of the newer messengers it also allows the user to delete their content at any time. My only criticism was that they did not take bitcoin donations.
Today I went there to ask them if they would consider a bitcoin option. I was too late. They already do! The last update allows payment right from the app. Nice.

https://www.surespot.me/

So what other apps allow bitcoin payments or donations? Are there any alternate apps for common software that you know of?

Cheers!

So you mean like tipping people with btc over the net? Well there is this site https://www.changetip.com/
That also, but i just meant any app that uses them to do anything. SureSpot is just a messenger program and not specifically bitcoin related. I'm interested how bitcoin is being implemented in apps.
2258  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Young Americans shifting US towards becoming less religious nation on: November 05, 2015, 09:28:13 PM
I do think that NDE are interesting I just do not see the need for any supernatural explanation. It makes perfect sense that one would have an altered perception of reality when dying. The brain takes 10 min. or so to die from hypoxia. During that time normal functions become increasingly difficult. As you mention, most people go unconscious about 30 seconds after the heart stops. But they often can still hear or remember things that happen after appearing unconscious. Sometimes they later are able to recall things that were said in the ER. This proves they are able to form memories even in their sad state.

Of course this does not dis-prove a God or an afterlife. There is no logical way to prove that. But there is also no logical way to prove that people don't turn into bananas when they die. This leave us to decide on the information we do have rather than what could be. I personally think that when we die that's it. No fanfare or grand event, no turning into a banana or Valhalla.
2259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin Will Not Survive", says Jamie Dimon on: November 05, 2015, 06:48:28 PM
Reminds me of the Kodak CEO saying that digital photography won't impact their business  Cheesy
+1
Or blockbuster video saying people won't stream movies online because they like shopping for them in person.
Roll Eyes
But the funny part is that Jamie Diamond seems to think we are looking for government permission to use bitcoin.  I don't give a rats ass what any government thinks about bitcoin. I'll be using it the rest of my life, and that's that.
2260  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Young Americans shifting US towards becoming less religious nation on: November 05, 2015, 04:28:59 PM
It is simply that no evidence of a God exists.

Actually, research indicates the opposite.

A large scientific study determined that veridical perception during brain-death is a scientific fact. Consciousness and awareness appeared to occur during a three-minute period when there was no heartbeat. This is paradoxical, since the brain typically ceases functioning within 20-30 seconds of the heart stopping and doesn’t resume again until the heart has been restarted. Furthermore, the detailed recollections of visual awareness in this case were consistent with verified events.

Press release:
http://www.southampton.ac.uk/news/2014/10/07-worlds-largest-near-death-experiences-study.page#.VDa5LhaOqSo.

Perhaps atheists like YOU are simply refusing to acknowledge the scientific evidence for what it is?? This is not the first time that I have presented this evidence to you, RodeoX.

Scientific evidence supporting near-death experiences and the afterlife:
http://www.near-death.com/science/evidence.html
The phenomena of low oxygen hallucination is well known and happens to people of all faiths and no faith.  As the brain dies our perception of reality is, of course, skewed and perverted. There is nothing in this observation that is inconsistent with that process. I just don't see where the God part comes in. The first link does not mention anything about religion or an afterlife, it is about near death hallucinations.
It's just not evidence of God of any kind. Where is this God/afterlife part?
