As far as I know, Simmons may return on April 25-29. It's worth noting that these days the Nets and Celtics will already be playing 4-6 games in the first round. So I guess Nash won't take the risk of putting Simmons on the court during such important matches. At the same time, I doubt that the Celtics will purposefully use the "Hack-A-Shaq" tactic against Simmons, even if he plays in the first round. Spurs was a good team in the road, but at I guess this play-in is very different for the young team.
As you can see on the roster of the Pelicans, they have many star players that perform well during the playoffs. CJ was really a big help for the Pelicans, he is Ballin and he showed what he can do more in his current team that he cannot do everything with Lillard playing as the main man of the team. I think they'll be a great championship contender once Zion will come back, probably next season. |

I was expecting tha the Clippers will win the game after seeing them having a comfortable lead when KAT was fouled out. But, the young roster of the Timberwolves did not gave up, Edwards was so big in this game as he leads the team for this victory.

After Inoue vs Donaire rematch, we will probably see either one of them against Casimero next year in the 1st quarter because this year just too short to have some preparations as Inoue vs Donaire's date is June.
That depends on the result of this fight, if Donaire wins, they might as well go with the Trilogy as this would sell better than a fight with Casimero. However, if Inoue wins, then there's no need to wait longer for Casimero provided that he would successfully defend his title in his upcoming fight against Butler. Brooklyn Nets is a decent team with no doubt a powerful duo who's also an experienced players in the playoffs and both holds a championship title in the past. They also contributes big scores to bring a win to the team, it is just that they really lack and vulnerable in their defense. I'm not saying they cannot be a candidate this season because they still have a chance and probably can work things out with Ben Simmons.
We should assume now that Ben Simmons might not play in the playoffs to at least have a safe analysis and will not depend on him. It's reported that he might miss the first round of the playoffs and probably the entire post-eliminations game. From now on, we should not include Ben Simmons in any of our analysis for us not to rely on his participation and role in the Nets. If he will become officially available and announced it, then good. If that's the case then the Nets should really figure out another way who in the current active roster would do the job effectively because if they cannot find the right man for that then it's safe to assume that they will continue to struggle along the way, these other teams already knew there weaknesses and they will keep on attacking that while they're still vulnerable in that area. |

No question that he would win the MVP this season, however, I'm still worried about their playoffs, we have strong teams in the West that could match them, and them playing undermanned, I think they will be in trouble against a healthy team. However, I still wish them to win the first round, at least the first round.
Who knows, maybe Murray will be there for them. They almost made it to the finals during the bubble if only Howard didn't bother Jokic and just have a clean basketball and don't use that mind games against the young Joker, but we have seen this Big guy to mature. He's not that kid anymore and with solid selections around him, they can do it for sure he will not leave this team without a title. Well, maybe because Murray is having a lot of improvement in these recent weeks that have passed and he's likely to play in the playoffs in no time. While Porter Jr. is having some setbacks lately and his timeline now in returning to the court is now again undetermined. But hopefully things could go into their favor and give Joker a help. I think that's part of the young Joker's fate, and if it wasn't for that then he won't be matured like we're seeing now and made himself more liable in the court than his previous year. |

My early pick. .. I got Spurs ML and Clippers -11.5
That's a great pick, Spurs are playing at home and KT will have a rest. It's a no-bearing game for both teams, so it's possible to see that the Warriors will not take it seriously, the home team should have an edge here. How about the New Orleans vs Memphis game? No bearing as well but can Memphis stay consistent and win the home game? The point spread is -6.5 MEM. It is, but I'm going with the Warriors -6 today even if Klay Thompson is already ruled out due to load management. The Warriors may not be in their best today but they can still come up with win to extend their winning streak, with of course spread well be covered. The Grizzlies, The Grizzlies upgraded Ja Morant to questionable heading into the game against the Pelicans. Taylor Jenkins has announced that he may play in one of the Grizzlies' last two games. SourceSo, I think this is the game where Ja Morant will play as this is their last play in their home this regular season. That alone will be enough for me that they can cover that -6 spread. |

At this juncture, if I will put my bet and choose my champion for this season I'll prefer the nets team even though they are not in number 1 in the playoffs but still believe that they can win and claim the trophy.
