1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 25, 2023, 04:27:16 AM
They have another game on Monday against Jordan, which I think they can easily win as well.
Yes, that's on the 27th. I have no idea about the betting odds yet, so I don't know if the Philippines will easily beat them. Do you know about the ranking of the teams so we can check?

In that game against Lebanon, Gilas really showed their maturity, and it seemed like they didn't have an import (naturalized player) because the ball was shared well, and everyone was a threat outside. Lebanon had no idea who to defend, to be honest.

By the way, PBA will resume today we have 2 games.

1st game Bossing vs Northport
2nd game  NLEX vs Rain or Shine.
1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 24, 2023, 12:42:18 PM

That's why some of us thought that they would not be able to cover the spread, but they did. I hope this is the start of their great chemistry, and that one win might lead to continued success, making them a dominant team. The good thing is that it was not only Luka and Kyrie who scored over 20 points, but also Hardaway Jr. who contributed 22 points in this game.

They are just in need of time to play more games to get some chemistry with each other and help to increase their team's chance to get to the NBA playoffs after the All-Star weekend. Now that they found the right rhythms to play with each other, they will gonna hard to beat in their next upcoming games. Other teams are doing great too except for the Lakers, D'Angelo Russell was out of the game earlier because of a foot injury, hope it will not gonna be a reason for him to be out for long because they really need more wins after their win last night.

But I'm still not convinced though. They beat a team that has the worst record in the NBA, so I think they need to prove themselves again by beating a team that is already above .500. Well, they will be up against the Lakers on the road for their next game. If they win that game, then I would say they are definitely ready.

By the way, we will witness Westbrook tomorrow on his debut with the Clippers.

1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 24, 2023, 12:30:25 PM

By the way, the spread before the game was -7.5, so looking at the game now, it will easily be covered.

It's good if you took that spread because the Philippines is leading by 12 points after the first half. The current betting spread for the Philippines is now -13.5, while the over/under is 178.5, which is way above the total before the game. I would like to wish you good luck on your bet, and I hope the Philippines will continue their good shooting in the second half.

Malonzo had 2 dunks that will be highlights of this game. He is very confident, and even though he only had good 3-point shooting in this game, it was actually the dunks that will be the highlights. I love how the Philippines played here; they shared the ball well, so I hope they continue that great chemistry when they go up against Jordan.

The pregame odds was covered, but the live odds was not. Gilas' lead was as high as 20 points, but they were not able to hold it. Lebanon could not attack inside, but they were lucky that most of their 3-point shots sank in the 4th quarter. However, it was too late for them as there was not enough time left to come back for this game. I admire their hard work because even though they were down by a big margin, they still showed the same intensity they had in the early quarters.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 24, 2023, 10:55:28 AM
Finally, the Dallas Mavericks have won a game. They shared the ball well, so the production was impressive. Luka scored 28 points and Irving had 23, making for a good combo, and the overall shooting of the team was also impressive, at 56%.

Although the spread was high, they still managed to cover it, so congratulations also to the bettors.

1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 24, 2023, 10:28:49 AM
Are you guys watching the Philippines vs Lebanon game now? It's a great game for the Philippines; they are leading by double digits already, and I really like this lineup. There's no need for Brownlee to carry the team because his teammates have international experience and can really help the team get better. The defense and ball movement are impressive so far. If they can maintain a 20-point lead in the first half, it will be hard for Lebanon to come back in the second half, in my opinion.

By the way, the spread before the game was -7.5, so looking at the game now, it will easily be covered.
1246  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people really having the wrong concept of savings? on: February 23, 2023, 07:26:36 PM
I do not think anyone should get the purpose of saving wrongly. People save for many reasons, like for nvestment, to tackle emergencies etc. You can even save money because you want to buy something that year or later and you do not want to go for installmental payment which will require paying more over certain period of time than buying at once.
People save because they have their plans need to be realized in the future. Whatever it is, it won’t also become possible if people will not save. Or even saving so we can be prepared in the future whatever unforeseen events might suddenly happen, so at least we have the funds ready for it. So whatever the purpose of saving, it will always be valid as long as you save now and set long term goals.
1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life's first investment in Bitcoin by selling bicycles on: February 23, 2023, 06:46:14 PM
But I am optimistic that I will definitely benefit from the amount I have invested.
You are right on this one!
Dont lose hope nor make yourself that in panic just because you had seen some negative. We do know that Bitcoin is volatile whether you could lose or earn basing up into its
price movement.Somehow its not that a total $5 lost because as long you arent selling it up then its just a paper loss and not totally been realized. Therefore, its better to find
ways on how to accumulate bitcoin as much as you could. Its not that you should sell goods more or something which you could also accumulate or buy on small amounts too.
You can find some extra jobs or something or whatever that gives you income.
The best way to be successful in your investment is to stay optimistic despite of the market crashes or correction. Whatever you see today is just temporary so never lost hope and get discouraged. Just continue to hold your bitcoin for long term, and never get panic and end up selling them at a lower price because that only makes you a loser in the end. And maybe, DCAing these days could be helpful if you want to increase the volume of your bitcoin in your portfolio, and just wait for the perfect time to sell so you can be highly profitable.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 23, 2023, 01:05:08 PM
The next game will be Converge versus Blackwater, and we already know which team will win. It will be a miracle if Blackwater upsets the heavy favorite. The spread is -15.5 for Converge, which explains the probable outcome of the game.
It's unfortunate that Converge was not able to cover the spread as they only won by 8 points. If it were a high-scoring game, then there might have been a better chance of the spread being covered. The first half was indeed low-scoring. Unfortunately, I had internet problems, and I was not able to take the over 182.5 live, even though I already knew that they were going to shoot well in the second half.

I didn't finish watching the game, but I believe Maverick Ahanmisi was the player of the game because he was the top scorer, producing 31 points in this specific game. He actually made 7 three-point shots, which gave their team a good lead going forward.

1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Ways to Make Big Money at the Casino — Without Gambling on: February 22, 2023, 09:42:14 PM
Kidnapping the owner's daughter is something that I can immediately think about because when we kidnap the owner's daughter and can take her heart to love us, there is a possibility that we will be the son-in-law of the casino owner hahaha.

But it will be strange because it is impossible. Moreover, his parents will hire a secret agent to look for where is his daughter. And they can also kill us because we have kidnapped the casino owner's daughter.
It can be possible in movies but never in real life. Who would want to marry a kidnapper? Although they are just forced to do so because of some personal reasons, but still kidnapping is a crime and definitely not the best option to that. The father might have killed the kidnapper first before his daughter will fall in love with the kidnapper.
1250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't feel comfortable with crypto exchange on: February 22, 2023, 09:12:49 PM
Everybody needs to fear crypto exchange without waiting for people to preach exchange is not good for storing bitcoin.   Remitano exchange is where I do buy bitcoin and sell bitcoin.  Sometimes it is very difficult to have access with this wallet to sell or buy bitcoin,  at times it takes 24hrs before one can logging this exchange. Just imagine exchange like this have some network issues like this and never gets back to normal again. This should be enough reason why people shouldn't store  bitcoin on exchange wallet.
Centralized exchanges have always its own issues, and even those reputable exchanges are not an exception. So if you would trust any exchange just to keep safe your coins, you should know too that your coins would not be safe in them forever especially if some issues are not fixed or recovered. That is the reason why we need to create our own non-custodial wallet so we can keep and manage them safely, without the fear of being hacked or steal as long as we stay responsible of our own investments.
1251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: February 22, 2023, 08:53:51 AM
Some meet me and we were have conversation on trade and he told me that he has putting all he has been saving in it and asked me if he can make something out of it and I asked him if he had any knowledge about it and he said no.

My question is can someone that doesn't have any knowledge about trading and how the system work can he or she trade.

After been told it just for them to choice on the candles sticks if it's up the they want to choice or the one going up just with this idea can they trade with such an idea.
so I wan to know if it's right for sure person to begin trading?
You can’t stop those beginners if they want to trade, as they still believe that trading will give them quick profits. But if you aim to maximize profits when trading, do not trade unless you are ready, unless you have gained the basic knowledge and skills required in trading. That way, you won’t have to endure huge losses like what those newbies have experienced. And make sure once you trade, never anticipate for huge profits at first, as losses will always be inevitable for first timers.
1252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: February 22, 2023, 08:11:49 AM
Came across this video in which a person questions whether they prefer to take 100$ or Bitcoin. The kids never took time, all of the sudden chosen 100$. I'm not specific about the location this had taken place, but it looks like they're are Western people. This makes me think, awareness is not upto the mark and in all means we need to educate people. Even the Western young generation unaware of it is really unbelievable.

100$ or Bitcoin
Let’s just say not all kids are into latest technology. They might have not known bitcoin for all their lives, or they have heard about it but were never aware of its current value. Furthermore, if their country is also banning bitcoin, so expect that they would still chose $100 that can be used instantly, rather than choosing bitcoin where it can’t be used in their own country.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: February 21, 2023, 09:58:34 PM
It's very funny as well seing some people on this category of being persistent on gambling be it on sport betting, crypto casinos or even lotto, when a gambler is very desperate to make a win after several attempts to break record but never did, they insisted on perpetual trials on each categories and keep doing this over time, well it turns addiction to some while others couldn't but hold on to several attempts without having any results.
Well, it's because they want to win some money from gambling that makes them continue to gamble in many gambling games. And that will always happen because gambling can tempt them to continue playing and win money.

That's what makes many gamblers addicted because the temptation of the gambling game seems to be calling them to keep playing. But if people can limit themselves not to play gambling for too long or often, they will not be tempted and can leave gambling.
Well, its a certain fact for us that people do not just gamble to recover their losses, but eventually to gain huge amount of money out from playing games that require their luck and skills. The reason why these gamblers gamble more of their hard-earned money hoping that they will win the jackpot prize that will be a life changing for them. And the more they gamble, the bigger chances they will only fall to gambling addiction because of their high greed for money.
1254  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 21, 2023, 09:29:13 PM
Asking for help from parents when the need arises is normal. But staying financially dependent on them even in adulthood is simply irresponsible. The parents could also take part of the blame. Some parents cannot take it that their adult children are having a hard time. They willingly continue to support them. As a result, their children's behavior is reinforced. Parents instantly coming to their children's aid all the time may sound good, but it could also be dangerous as their children might not grow independent. They might not be able to try find ways to survive.
Parents become the best provider for their children not because they are obliged to do that, but because they want to give the best for their children and protect them all the time. But when these children have grown into adults, it’s time for the parents to give way to their grown up children so they can become independent not only physically, but also financially. That’s why adults should have their own means of living so they can provide for their own family, and not to stay dependent on their parents. And as parents, they should guide their children to develop the best they can be, so they can survive on their own and build their own family without relying from the income of their parents.
1255  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Common Mistakes Made by New Crypto Investors on: February 21, 2023, 08:50:44 PM
I think the biggest mistake new crypto investors or beginners make is too high or unrealistic expectations that they will get rich overnight through crypto investing.
It's important to be well informed about everything before any investment, analyze the market in detail and only then make a rational investment decision based on facts and not emotions or expectations.
Of course, it is always important to take care of Internet security, but you should also have a concrete investment plan and a clear exit strategy.
The problem with crypto is a lot of young and uneducated investors who don't understand the high risk of crypto investing.

You have a good point. Newbies are motivated to invest because of the wrong mindset that crypto can make them real quick rich. That’s why they put all their hard-earned money thinking that it will double or triple overnight. But that’s not how crypto works. It is more of a long term investment so you have to put all your knowledge and patience hodling it to avoid end up making wrong decision that you will regret in the end. And as always, if you plan to invest in the market, always know your investment first and understand how it works. That way, you can focus on your goal and set plans on how to achieve it.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've invested around 450 dollars into bitcoin and I am 16 years old on: February 20, 2023, 09:55:39 PM
This is my new account, I've locked the other discussion. I cannot provide solid proof I'm a 16-year-old or that I even own the bitcoin in the first place. I'll repeat what I said in the other discussion. 2/3 of my bitcoin are held in the stockpile.com app and the other third is with my dad. I'll talk to him about moving it all into one wallet but as of right now, it's not in one place. Not sure how I'll post proof of me being 16 in a safe way since one of the people in the last thread said it's dangerous to post any videos of myself after I posted them (that's why I deleted the video). Is there any safe way to prove that I'm 16?  Huh Huh
Also is there a reason why it's not safe to post vids of myself?
As said, you're good Michael. No need to post any video of yours just to prove that you're 16. Who cares with our age in here?

We're up for sharing knowledge and not our personal lives but sometimes, there are folks that are wanting to share their personal lives and it's their choice. On your case, it's not that really needed to share it.

All the information you've mentioned and given are already enough to start a discussion. One thing that you can apply about privacy is the same as remaining lowkey.
Keep your privacy as much as you can. You don’t need to share your personal video or disclose about your personal life as you allow others to attack you in the future. Remember that you are hodling bitcoin, as much as bitcoin is decentralized, then you should know also  how to be a responsible investor and hodler and keep the security of your coin. In case you allow others to know that you are a bitcoin hodler, knowing how high the value of  bitcoin is, then they will start eyeing you as their new target for scamming.
1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: February 18, 2023, 01:40:58 PM
That's is crystal clear and the only thing they can do is to reduce the limit but they can not manipulate them.
This is my first time of hearing about this but I don't think there power would exceed just limiting your account to a particular odds.
I know.of gamblers that doesn't care about the odd because they like taking a big risks of making bets with high odds that can be very annoying to me. Just like we have some gamblers that do not gamble with big money but rather with small money going to high odds.
Sometimes they feel like winning big amount of money when you check there game for the odds and amout to be won.
Yeah , maybe they only limit people with their withdrawal amount only but in terms of deposit and amounts of bets, I wonder if they will limit that. Casinos would love if a person is loyal to them and spend so much, as per the OP's idea having a different email is not a good option because they can block the physical address instead of the gambler if they will put an extra effort to it.
That's unethical to limit the withdrawal amount, that's your money so you have the right to withdraw your funds including your winnings of course. The only limitation they'll make is your bet, that way if you keep winning, they can still continue running their business because you are not winning majority of their bankroll. Additionally, if you really can't lose, then I guess they might ban you, you can't complain as it's their right, their casino their rules, but no way they will steal your money like limiting your withdrawals.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 18, 2023, 12:20:13 PM
I think that's what he inherited from Floyd though, being flamboyant and showy and brandish and so he has a huge entourage of all his homies watching it not buying though as it is for free.

Hopefully when he is no longer relevant, the same person will stick to him. Look at what happen to Broner, during the height of his career, he has a lot of people surrounding him. But now, you can barely see anyone at him walking in his fight. Tank should learn from it and not try to be Floyd.

It's not uncommon in boxing to have friends if you're successful, just as in real life. Floyd, a promoter who owns a gym, views everything as a business venture. For him, it's all about the money, and if you're of no use to him, he won't invest his time. However, it's important to remember that we don't really know these individuals in real life, as we only see what the media presents to us. Therefore, it's best to admire their athletic abilities in the ring, rather than their true personality.

If you want to have more friends, you need to be successful. I'm pretty sure that these two fighters have a lot of friends and followers because both are undefeated and are very popular in the boxing world. Whoever wins this fight will surely enjoy more stardom, while the loser is not a complete loser since he will still enjoy a huge amount of money from this fight. In addition, if there's a rematch clause in the contract, he can avenge his loss, which means another big payout incoming as well.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 18, 2023, 10:57:15 AM
It's Fulton's time now to break that momentum and protect his thrown. We will see who's going to stand tall after the fight.

Although he is the champion, it seems that we are hoping he will be able to survive against Inoue. The fight between Inoue and Donaire was quite different because Donaire was the challenger, while here, it's Inoue who is the challenger, but people view him as the champion.

There is a huge pressure on Foltun because the majority of the fans do not believe he can beat the Monster, but let's see what happens during the fight night

Even before this fight, he already knew that. In fact, there was a statement from his camp that they needed to win because they were representing their country. That's how big they see this fight and the amount of success they will achieve if they win. Foltun did not show weakness in his press conference or statements, but we all know that everyone is scared of the Monster once they are in the ring.

Everyone knows that, not just him. However, he is a champion, so he should think like a warrior, and since this is boxing, it's a battle of the best, and that's why he needs to work hard to remain the best in his division. I know it's a challenge for him, but I'm sure he understands that eventually, he will face a big challenge, and Inoue has already come.

It's better to withdraw from the fight than to continue without confidence, so if Foltun still chooses to make this fight happen, we can assume that he did his best during training to try to win in the biggest fight of his career.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 18, 2023, 10:17:36 AM

Let's discuss the ongoing game between DYIP and Phoenix. The first half is over, and Phoenix is holding a significant 19-point lead. I think DYIP will have a hard time coming back in this game due to the huge deficit. Also, it seems that their import, Williams, is not very productive with only 10 points from very poor shooting. This is probably his worst performance with only a 2-10 shooting record so far.

30 points now and less than 5 minutes and I also agree that it will be tough for DYIP to rally back unless Phoenix will give them all the free shots coming in the final quarter. Something that we might not expect but sometimes it's happening but hopefully not today.

I thought DYIP would be competitive enough when their import showed a great game early in the conference, but it's a different import we are seeing now. Probably because of the suffocating defense of Phoenix, they can't find an answer on how to produce some offense. It's a high-scoring game for Phoenix, but DYIP is currently struggling, especially with their three-point shooting.

We are now in the fourth quarter. Maybe they will win this quarter, but it's impossible to win the game.
