1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 04, 2023, 02:01:13 PM
Yes, the experience and the money that goes fighting Inoue in his hometown. And maybe his pride as well to test himself against the best that's why he can't get away from this opportunity to fight. As compare to his rematch with Figueroa who he has beaten already, although this time it will be on the contested weight of 126.

So it make sense for Stephen Fulton to just go with Inoue, even if he is the big underdog, at least he will have his time and see if he can pull the biggest upset in this division if ever he can break Inoue.

That's the right mentality of a real warrior, he is always up for a new challenge, Inoue might be a very good fighter, but as long as Fulton will work hard to prepare for the fight, I'm sure he has a chance of pulling a big upset. They haven't fought yet, so we have no idea what will happen, our only basis on our predictions are their respective past fights and quality of opponents.
1302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 04, 2023, 12:53:42 PM
I doubt that the handshake tells us they become more than teammates, they are brothers. And I do believe Kyrie will try to talk his way to pull Durant or just leave the team and pursue others.
Well, the trade deadline is getting near, and it's also possible they won't be traded at all. I bet that will suck for someone who had been requesting it over and over again and yet he cannot find his real home.

That's not a good idea, Durant and Irving leaving the team, Nets will be losing a lot of money here as they had invested on Durant and Irving just to acquire them and hope for the championship, but it's all a mess now, this team will not win a championship because Irving's teammates are not happy with his decision.

If Irving will be traded to the Lakers, then there's a huge chance the Lakers will win a championship.
1303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 04, 2023, 11:49:59 AM

NLEX has a game tonight against Phoenix, maybe the last game of Simmons before leaving for good and for me fulfilling his promise of 4 wins before he leaves is doable so i'm taking this NLEX ML @1.47 right now as there are no other beautiful odds to bet at the moment.

I have other plans, hehe.. sorry I'm going against your bet. I'm betting on Simmons not being able to fulfill his promise, so I'm with the Phoenix on underdog odds. They are +6.5 and 3.25 for ML. Anyway, may the best team wins, though I'm not so interested in this game, but no choice, I have to feel some action while watching the game.
I also thought of that for a second knowing that Phoenix just got their first win of the conference, they might build a momentum. On the other hand, I also believe that Simmons will fulfill his promise that he will go back to CBA with his team having a 4-0 record and why not? He is making huge numbers in his last 3 games including his heroic performance against the TNT where they made a comeback and won the game by 2 points.

Anyway, the game between NLEX and Phoenix started already and it's NLEX leading by 7 by the time I'm posting it with 3 minutes remaining in the 1st quarter. I already put my bet on NLEX -6.5 before the start of the game.
Bad pick, I was thinking of a good win, it was close in the first 3 quarters but the 4th quarter was a major difference of the game. The import of the NLEX was so good, he made his team better because everyone was confident in defending and shooting the ball. Congrats @bisdak for the win.

Any thoughts about the second game which is Meralco and Blackwater? Who did you bet your money with? Who do you think will win?
I didn't bet on this game yet as I was thinking of putting my bet live, but it looks like this game is already over since Meralco had build a huge lead in the 1st half already. I'm not interested anymore.
1304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: February 04, 2023, 08:28:27 AM
Have seen few discussion in this board about odd providers limiting user accounts, I assume they must be tracking user's accounts across multiple casinos by email address, kyc is triggered later.
Casinos are limiting users if you are consistently winning because they love losers and hate winners, that's the saying which seem to be true.
Well, about your presumption that they are tracking our accounts across multiple casinos, I don't think they can do that, unless that casino are their affiliate or their sister company, which I doubt they'll even put an effort in doing that.

My question is, would it be possible to circumvent such imposition by simply using different emails while registering on different casinos?
Of course since it's not prohibited to make plenty of emails for whatever purpose it will serve.

1306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 03, 2023, 02:36:09 PM
Sharing my pick for the upcoming games.

The wolves have been winning games lately, they are 6-4 in their last 10 games and have a 19-11 home record. However, I think the Orlando Magic are really to give them a real game, I trust the road team to at least cover the spread because they played hard against the 76ers and have even snatched one game on the road against the latter. So, this time, I'm favorite the Magic with +4.5 spread.
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 03, 2023, 01:33:54 PM
If he retires then he might lose millions of dollars in the bag since he cannot get that anymore if he decide not to take fights. So I think what he did right now is a smart move since while still he can keep accumulating while there are still big offers to you and he can make his future more secure with that.
Yeah, he is taking the opportunity to earn because retirement would be another story. Well, he might follow Pacman getting into exhibition fights, but we know he is not as popular as Pacman, so it's say to say that he'll not earn like how much Pacman is making.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 03, 2023, 12:03:40 PM
TNT is again ahead in the first half.

TNT 52 - Magnolia 39. Do you still remember what happened against the NLEX? they struggle in the 2nd half, so I like to take chances here, betting on Magnolia ML and +11.5. Let's go, best of luck to me.  Smiley

Good luck, that's a risky bet IMO, but you know, they are the Magnolia Hotshots, this team is capable of coming back from a big deficit, just like what they did against the Converge, they just fell short in the 4th quarter. Let's hope that Abueva will be able to play in the 2nd half, Magnolia really needs him to guard the import of the TNT.

The same thing happened to Magnolia in this game, they were able to make it a close game, I think they were only down 2 points but they make mistakes in the next possessions giving the TNT to take their comfortable lead again. Lots of mistakes for Magnolia, although they have the defense but unfortunately their offense are not clicking well, Paul alone cannot win compared to the spread offense of the TNT.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 03, 2023, 11:18:01 AM
The game between the Clippers and the Bucks are a good example of a playoff game. I'm glad that Giannis are very tough to carry the team to win the game as they were able to protect their home court advantage. He scored 54 points and 19 rebounds, this guy is a monster, I wouldn't be surprise if he wins the MVP this season, his closest rival is Jokic because both are very consistent, it's a battle of big man.

Also, while I'm happy with the performance of Giannis, I'm also impress with the chemistry of the Clippers, as if you look at the stats, everyone has really contributed in the game.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: February 02, 2023, 12:08:45 PM
So it seems like the winner of Plant-Benavidez is not getting a shot at Canelo Alvarez. As per Eddie Hearn's latest updates, Canelo is determined to take revenge on Dmitry Bivol right after his fight with John Ryder. And since Ryder-Canelo is a WBO mandatory and the Canelo-Bivol is a rematch clause activated, the Benavidez-Plant winner cannot request the WBC to strip Canelo of his belt in favor of the interim champ. Canelo remains the biggest cash cow in boxing anyways and he might also get VIP treatments on sanctioning bodies. Canelo and the WBC also blocked us fight fans to see a possible Beterbiev-Bivol unification for the undisputed belts at light-heavyweight.

Eddie Hearn updates on Canelo Alvarez’s plans, Terence Crawford, Bivol vs Beterbiev, Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury, more

That's a good thing as it will make the  way to Bivol rematch faster than expected. At least Canelo could avenge his previous lose after his mandatory fight. I hope this will happen this year so it can be concluded if Canelo really is a real threat to beat Bivol, or Bivol would close their rivalry by beating him twice.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 02, 2023, 11:26:13 AM
I can't believe the Warriors lost against the Timberwolves, they are getting sloppy with their plays. I know it's the right ones but it doesn't click well especially when Draymond expects their cuts and he just throws the ball out of nowhere where the cutter should be. It's been happening a lot of times, Steve Kerr should start strengthening at those parts, I bet they all see this in the tape and regrets their mistakes. A mountain of turnovers again.

Yeah, it destroyed my parlay, damn it, easy win by Boston while the Sixers needed everything they got to win against the Magic.

And one upset is Portland winning, and then GSW lost as well and the Suns losing by big margin.

I'm not sure what happened but it looks like the Warriors are too complacent in that game. I mean, they were a team that is good in taking care of their lead, but what happen, they were outscored in the 4th quarter and Wolves almost beat them in the regular period. That was an upset though the Warriors are not really heavily favored, there's really a big difference playing on the road and at their home court.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 25 in Saudi Arabia on: February 02, 2023, 08:06:12 AM
I think I’d rather be betting on whether or not this fight takes place. Tommy has ducked Jake so many times now, it seems more like he’s trolling Jake by accepting these fights. If they do fight though, I don’t think Tommy has a chance. I was watching some of his fight videos and he really doesn’t look like a pro fighter. Jake will probably be able to knock him out at which point I think KSI or Nate Diaz would be the next fights to make.

Fair point, and for that, Tommy still has another month to decide if whether he will continue to fight Jake or not. I know that this fight has been inked already but considering Tommy's past decisions towards this fight and Jake Paul in particular, it's not that far that he will make a run again and leave Jake in the air with the thoughts of finally having a bout with Tommy. But in any case, if this fight really pushes through, Jake Paul will eventually defeat Tommy Fury, no doubt.
Tommy is nothing compared to Jake Paul, so I’ll be rooting for Jake Paul too and leave Tommy in defeat. But if ever he’ll pull out from this fight again, that will only tell how coward he is so I guess he will really pursue this game especially that he’s now more motivated to fight because he’s now a father to his newborn daughter. Still, despite of the obvious result for this game, I would still love to watch these two inside the ring.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE ROLE OF BITCOIN IN EFFORTS TO HELP FLOOD AFFECTED COMMUNITIES on: February 01, 2023, 09:55:32 PM
There has always been this type of help from some forum users, hopefully these gestures that appear eventually,  it never end. Always there is a USers (forum) who may have an environment that deserves to help.

I think that as mentioned in some posts back, this is something of a good Samaritan, so entering "speech on bitcoin" only allows us to say with what currency these foods are paid for.

I think that the good thing about all this is to have an organization led by users who come from this same forum (why not?) and thus be able to channel donations to any part of the world in just minutes and receive them equally without bureaucracy.

Hopefully and channel with other people in your area a foundation based on donations that allow receiving bitcoin, as well as some day other users (of this forum) with such good concerns contact you and become a real non-profit network, with a intelligently managed and taking advantage of the benefits offered to guard bitcoin correctly.
It is not easy and surely trust is one of the main impediments due to past stories, but that should not question the good faith of those who can do it, you have to try.

In my years of existence in the forum, I have always read inspiring stories like this and that give credits to bitcoin or the crypto market itself because without it, these good samaritans can no longer help since they have no funds to provide for it. And maybe if a good foundation can be made out of those good samaritans who are willing to donate, well that will promote the crypto community itself and will be an eye opener to everyone that there are reliable sources of profits in crypto which will only attained also if you put your heart on it and will work on it progressively.
1314  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area on: February 01, 2023, 09:36:17 PM

Get rid of addictions/habits: addictions or habits (in mild cases) are harmful not only for your health, but also for your finances. Cigarettes and alcohol are responsible for consuming a large portion of the income from individuals living on minimum wage. It's not that unsual to find people spending at least 1$ on cigarettes daily, what after 1 month will result in 30$ expenses, which could be going into bitcoin investment, for an example.

As someone who has seen people living on the line of poverty before, I can tell you that this step is extremely tricky.
I am talking about people whose one of the few escapes from reality they had was smoking, drinking or gambling, most of the time as a social activity to relieve their struggles. They do not even bother to count how much money they spend on beer or cigarettes, by the way.

I recall certain case of this man who used to smoke so much that if he stopped smoking for a day he started to feel sick, flu-like symptoms.

I guess that’s because that man is simply closed minded. Although I have often hear same instances like that, but to put it in general, those kind of people are just afraid to change because they think they would still fall on their vices again later on. And as what I have often observed, those who fall for different vices are usually those who have no permanent jobs, as they have more time for their vices than to look for a stable source of income that will make them busy with and that will give them a good income.
1315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A fortunate story of a crypto mentor on: February 01, 2023, 08:59:12 PM
Someone I knew, a mentor who showed me what I was missing by not getting into crypto invested 100k in crypto, he started DCA'ing in 2018 to 2020, I was still struggling because I had no job then, he kept me close and kept me informed, in 2020 is wallet turned 4,000$ from 100k, he was so calmed like it was nothing, when he told me this I freaked out..  He replied " I was ready to lose the money anyway" that's investment for you..he said.

In 2021 he made a bit over 1 million dollars when market started to recover, the once 100k that turned into 4k grow over a million in dollars, he his an icon of motivation for me today , the reason why I shared this story today is for you to learn a lesson or two .

If he invested what he is not ready to lose he would have freaked out just like I did and took out his 4,000$ in big loss, so my point is, why would you invest money that you aren't ready to lose in the first place? This is wrong, you won't be able to sleep at night, you won't be able to take your eye off your portfolio, there will be no single calmness in your world.

Crypto is very volatile, invest only what you are willing to lose, no amount is too small as far as that's what you can afford to lose.

Have a great weekend.
In every investment, it’s always safe to just invest on the amount you can afford to lose, otherwise you will end up being rekt because you invest the money intended to pay for the bills, or you invested from your borrowed funds. And once you invest, prepare for some initial losses because you won’t be making profits in the long run without having to experience mistakes and losses at first. And always know that those who became successful investors at the end are once those who were losers at the beginning, but because they were resilient enough and have remain on their faith, that motivated them to work hard to end up successful.
1316  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your successes over the past 5 years on: February 01, 2023, 08:45:17 PM
Well I have to say it was good, and then not so great Cheesy I have made some good income, and I have made some profit, but I am not the type that could wait until its a million dollars, I am the type of guy who would spend any money he gets in profit, because I like to live a little and basically just enjoy life. I haven't spent it on things that didn't matter though, like I do not have a brand new iPhone 14 or something, no, I like to spend it on things that would make me happy and basically going places and having fun times with friends and such. There were also unexpected stuff like death and sickness, but never made a debt, so I am pretty ok about that. Still not rich, but living very "rich" compared to what could have been if I never met bitcoin.
That’s still a success for you knowing you never have to face financial struggles especially in unforeseen events like sickness or death. At least, your finances become stable when you start trading crypto. However, for me, I have made good profits with the last 5 years in crypto but never enough to make me become rich since I also spend my profits helping my family and relatives especially those who are really struggling with their finances. Although sometimes I also reward myself buying some luxury items, but I guess the profits I made mostly in crypto are used to provide the basic needs of my family. That alone made me happy, and for me that’s already a successful achievement.
1317  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto YouTubers are all financial advisors on: February 01, 2023, 08:25:06 PM
The thing is, as a crypto investor do not take any individual as a financial advisor, or an expert in crypto trading/investing; if you take investment advise from people you are basically investing in what they have invested in, because they would try to pitch the coins in their portfolio to you, so as to pump the project/coin.

Having said that, the only way to go about investing/trading in crypto is to DYOR and be responsible for whatever would be the result of your investment decision.
The fact is even veterans in the crypto market sometimes fail in their investments, so how much more about for YouTubers as their focus is not merely on crypto market but also in social media. That is why no one should act as a financial adviser, and no one should rely from. If you are a noob in the crypto market, then always DYOR because that’s the only way you will educate yourself and you can avoid falling from those who claim to be crypto YouTubers. And once you start investing, always anticipate losses because that’s also part of the learning process in crypto investing.
1318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So far so good with Bitcoin adoption on my side but I have question on: February 01, 2023, 07:59:56 PM
Do not give financial advise to other people, because they will put the blame on you, when they lose money.
It's great that you are spreading the word about Bitcoin. Good Job, OP. If I was on your place, I would just explain the basic principles and the core concept of Bitcoin and blockchain technology. I wouldn't tell the noobs when to buy and when to sell. Nobody can predict the market, even the best crypto traders are failing sometimes. Knowing Bitcoin is one thing, learning and practicing crypto trading is a different thing.
By the way, I don't think that the main reason for the small price growth from 16K to 23K is the Chinese New Year. Wasn't Bitcoin banned in China?
If you don’t want to be blame later on, then never advise them to buy at a certain price, let them decide on their own when they want to buy. At least, you’ve done on your part explaining to them the core basics of bitcoin, it’s high volatility, so whatever their actions, then they should be responsible for it. Yes, the market is unpredictable, that’s why it’s best to just educate them all about bitcoin, but never end up giving them financial advise.
1319  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will lead the world's current market on: January 31, 2023, 09:53:44 PM
We know the US dollar is the world-accepted banknote and can be used as a medium of trade.  In the crypto world, Bitcoin is the most popular and the highest-received currency with incredible value. Different nations have authorized bitcoin for transactions and multiple of them are sentiments. Its approval is slowly expanding day by day. Do you think bitcoin will be the commander of the world’s currency market like the US dollar in destiny?
No, I don’t see it leading the current market, not even in the future. Because bitcoin is never designed to change the financial system and replace US dollar from its position. It is created so that people will have another option for payment method aside from fiat. And to think that most of the countries are still not open about bitcoin, not legalizing bitcoin as a currency, so it will always remain as an asset rather than a currency. And knowing how volatile its price is, people will only get confused if they consider it as a payment method.
1320  Economy / Economics / Re: Success is fundamentally determined by luck, not effort. on: January 30, 2023, 09:59:09 PM
Lol, this sounds ridiculous but I think the number of people who succeed by luck is very small. I also know some successful people who stay humble when it comes to their efforts and talk about their luck instead. However, I think that to be successful requires a lot of factors, not only effort, or luck but also perseverance, dedication, creativity... in which luck is just the last ingredient.

Of course, to have success requires many factors, not just luck, and just lack of a certain factor makes it difficult for you to succeed. If you say that success also requires luck, even though that's the last factor you mentioned, then obviously you won't be successful without luck.

I am still not successful, but I am a living witness of luck, I had a tough life before, and I couldn't even pay my debt even though I worked hard all day and every day. But everything turned a new page in my life when I was helped by a stranger with a job I never knew about before. As of now, not only have I paid off my old debt, but I have savings, investments, and things that I thought I would never have even if I worked my whole life.
That stranger alone might have brought the luck for you. But as we all know, you didn’t just grab the luck but you also put hardwork and high dedication into your new job that made you where you are today. So that’s where efforts and luck have worked hand in hand so you can have a good life at the moment. Without the other one, you will never go that far and experience luxury of what you have right now.
