Oops! This is bad. I didn't know that it's fake. Sorry about that guys!

@vapourminer, it seems like you merited that post of mine. Is just saying sorry enough? Or what can/should I do for you as a sorry? Sad #nohomo

i actually reworded my post a bit in an edit as i saw it came across as kinda rude and directed at you . i merited a few of the posts with those images as they gave some chuckles.

i was making fun of donnie. making fun of POTUS, whether the person serving that office deserves it or not, is a time honored american tradition.

no worries i love you man #nohomo

Not sure if this was shared here before, but even if it was, it deserves to be shared again:

Not willing to defend anyone here, but 1,000 points when Dow Joans is at 20,000 (feb ‘15) are equal to 1,500 points when Dow Joans is at 30,000 (feb ‘20).

yes, completely understandable. everyone has weak areas. his is math. ok and spelling. well, and honesty. and i suppose logic. and..

so we should give him a break already.

Just imagine finding a USB stick on the street, all crushed by passing cars, and taking it home, repairing it, and discovering that it contained the private key to thousands of BTC. Wet dream?

Has happened to me once (sans the BTC). Found the remains of a USB stick on the street (only the PCB had remained, and badly damaged). I tried to repair it, but couldn't. Could it have contained Satoshi's coins? No one will ever know.

I'm paranoid like that...

Paranoid people — at least those who think the issue through — don’t pick up random USB sticks found lying about.

heh yeah that worked for stuxnet.

of course badusb etc

i never use flashdrives that have been in other systems. i just destroy them if returned.

EDIT read only (ie finalized) cds are my friend.

Well, Rush is now saying that Corona is just the common cold, so bearish for Bitcoin.

Hm.

Rush?
Dingbat. However he did get the Presidential medal of Freedom, so one should listen to his words.

Hell I don't have a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

amazon. preorder yours now.

Unfortunately, my life seems to be your life....frugal/boring..etc....need to do something truly epic and senseless and of 'dubious' moral values...

but nevermind I need a nap...later

woke from my nap and saw this. luckily i did most of my senseless dubious moral value stuff already. nothing epic although i got some thumbs up while they told me what happened as i recovered.

i am VERY glad cellphones with cameras were not a thing back in the day. easier to repress those memories when theres no direct proof reminding you.

Problem is, we most probably won't cash out when it reaches $100k. Hardened by the previous cycle, we'll stoically watch our corn plummet to only $30k, upon which time it will be declared dead, weak hands will sell, some of us will get wrenched, the rest of us will HoDL (because we're HoDLers) until 2026 when it reaches $1M. We might sell some at that time...

well many of us hodled through $20k without blinking an eye so you cant really call us "weak hands" but ill tell ya at $100k im sure i would sell something.

and 1 million. surely i would break down and sell a bit more.

edit: assuming a loaf of bread doesnt cost $200k etc

Italy quarantining sections of the country, armed police and military forming physical roadblocks. Food gone from stores.

China not updating infected numbers, same with canada, the states, sweden, a number of non-western countries. Middle eastern countries closing borders.

Things are getting interesting. If you haven't stocked up on food yet, better get it done.

Italy is indeed the biggest blob on the map, excluding Asia.

It should be noted, however, that all four people in Italy that died from the virus were elderly (78, 75, 77, and 84 years old).
It would indeed be fortunate if it mostly targets the old, but even teens and 20s are dying. Time will tell how the spread looks.

Ωmega man. great movie.

So the factories are open...what about the cities with main shipping ports..if they are 'dorked' then nothing will move.

I am trying to be positive here...but can't see this NOT ending in 'waves' of places shut down as the illness spreads...it will be spotty for months

disrupting the supply chain of many interconnected shipping methods IMHO.

i worry about infrastructure stuff. if replacement parts for essential services cannot get to where theyre needed, as well as trained people to operate and maintain stuff it would suck pretty bad.

doom and gloom. what a rush.

Viagra is for lazy people. If you do squats everyday, your cock will never go down. UP 7/24 It is all about blood circulation and good muscles. You'll be able to climb anywhere you like too. Like a fckin goat.

it helps climbing? you use it as a brace or something?

i kinda feel that you need to be able to live poor before you can live rich. although taking the short cut to rich could be nice one may not appreciate it as much.

Many people who have received large sums of money end up ruined quickly.
Your prayer makes a lot of sense, when money is earned with effort, control of superfluous spending is deeply analyzed before executing it.

pretty much this. once i dug myself out of that dark time i made sure that, at every step that i could, i had a secondary plan to fall back on. it taught me so much. its second nature now.

long ago i saw a magazine ad that showed an elderly lady looking sadly at her oil tank gauge (for oil heat for those who may not get it) that was registering basically empty. whoever did the ad captured the look on her face perfectly.

at that second i vowed my wife would never be that woman.

i can still picture that image and that was decades ago. its why im so careful to have fallback positions.

remember there was that statistic about 50% of peeps having difficulties coming up with $400 for an emergency, so to own .012BTC, which may represent several thousands of dollars of value, free and clear, will still likely be out of touch from many normies who plan to fail by failing to plan.

back in the day i lived paycheck to paycheck and sometimes not even that (but i always worked). a slice of bread with peanut butter was a feast (but made sure my cat was better fed than i was, my cat also had vet visits, while i had no insurance for doctors.. tough it out was the motto). electricity for lighting was paradise as i would regularly have mine shut off. thankfully candles were cheap and i could walk to the library for books.

i kinda feel that you need to be able to live poor before you can live rich. although taking the short cut to rich could be nice one may not appreciate it as much.

Coinbase ratted me out years ago. Lol

been with coinbase since 2013 and filed taxes on btc earnings (no trading then, mainly selling mined coin with occasional buys) long before all that 1099 crap and such. as ive mentioned before i always figured btc would be tracked.
2355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 22, 2020, 02:46:15 PM
Don't let them scare you into reporting you "holdings"!

Tell them NOTHING!

The IRS has known about me since 2013. Banker reported me to SEC for an over 10k sale to get KNC Jupiter Miner from Sweden...
...went to phone meeting with a banker and SEC (voice phone SEC end) and banker's 'proof' was BTC was 'evil' and no way I had
done taxes (spring 2014 with new IRS crypto rules) slap'd down my CPA done Tax Forms paid and SEC guy in a 'resigned' voice is
why am I here? ...so you can account for the BTC now or when they come later..I myself when the IRS or Whomever comes by saying
I am not legit due to my (1) trophy girlfriend (2) boat on the lawn (3) flashy car etc, will show them my 'legit' crypto earnings and tell
whoever they are to go 'pound sand' ..eventually KYC will be for all exchanges...so it will only get worse IMHO. (hope it is not as
bad as all that ...but soured me on what to expect as a newbie till now from 2013. Smiley

thats why i have signed some old mining addys with "i am so and so and i mined to this addy between approximately this and this date with this hardware at this pool",  saved pool payout logs and screenshots, kept gpu receipts, pics of mining setups etc.

i always figured i would have to account for those early btc.
2356  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: February 21, 2020, 03:04:00 PM
And the BSVtards want to store health data on their idiotic blockchain. They pretend to "ensure strict compliance with government regulations on data protection". Guess what ? They don't.

https://twitter.com/tututpouet/status/1230863284481527808

who wants their medical (or any personal) data on a public blockchain forever? even if encrypted. as sooner or later that encryption will most likely be broken and now the world has your medical (or whatever) info.

The real bitch of a problem in all this is to find a place where people speak proper english.

that rules out the USA for you then (not that i think thats on your list btw).
2358  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2020, 01:26:06 PM
Da fuck! What country are you in?!?? Never saw capital gains taxed so fucking high. That percentage is ridiculous even for regular salary income FFS!
50% income tax, give or take depending. 25% sales tax. Hidden taxes on everytyhing, not sure how much but not less than 50%. In total, 80-90% taxation.

Which is why there is no fucking way I will get off with ONLY 20% when they get around to bitcoin. States always want More.

Denmark, by the way.

50% ?? wtf.

makes that check i wrote to the irs a lot less painful.

much as i hate taxes and the fact i have no say in its distribution, at least i only pay if i made profit. capitol gains for stuff over a year old is 15%, of course the short term stuff is worse and varies with income and such (USA).

EDIT: of course we tax everything in site in addition to that so the actual figure is higher. sales tax varies per state and "built in" taxes can be pretty high.. cigarettes and gas in particular get taxed at a fairly high rate. so total tax paid varies considerably depending on how you count it.

2360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2020, 01:47:01 PM
Basically, the situation I'm in is if I didn't have BTC to supplement my income I'd have a very sad life; never eating out, no holidays, no 'nice' things every-so-often.
I'm VERY lucky to have BTC. Very.

treating ourselves to something extra every now and then via btc i mined or bought is the deal i made with my wife when i 1st got into btc.

gotta take profits at some point. we certainly enjoyed our "upgrades." works for me as this all could still take a digger.
