You need a new dentist mate. I had a zirconia crown fracture after only two years and my guy replaced it for free. If he was really hungover he might have a substance abuse problem and reporting him to the state dental regulatory authorities would be more productive than smashing a windshield (maybe not as satisfying but if you were caught on a surveillance camera you could have been arrested ... cameras are everywhere nowadays.)

ugg flashback to a dentist many decades ago that smelled like booze when i went in for an emergency major toothache. if it were not for the pain from the tooth i would have noped right out of there but the pain was paramount in at that point.

he did a good job, but i never went back again.

[they] literally told me they don't care. I smashed the guys windshield one day. Smiley

i just carry a tire valve stem remover. bout 20 seconds, all tire valves are removed. presto, four (more or less) flat tires with no damage to them whatsoever, well unless they try to drive away of course. inconvenient.

who carries 4 spares or 4 extra valves plus a compressor (well aside from me).

For some reason some WO members use conbase as well so yeah...

yup, me.

so ill do a quick explanation:

....

Use of Coinbase by a Wo Bro???!
This treacherous behavior is nothing short of despicable.
You should be taken out back and given fifty lashes with wet towel....

In case we didn't already know it, here's more proof that retards use coinbase.

Quote
Coinbase says it prevented over 1,000 customers from sending $280,000 worth of bitcoin to Twitter hackers
https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/72200/coinbase-says-it-prevented-over-1000-customers-from-sending-280000-worth-of-bitcoin-to-twitter-hackers

IIRC the twitter morons only got about 60k from everywhere else.

Talk about inept scammers.

For some reason some WO members use conbase as well so yeah...

yup, me.

so ill do a quick explanation:

yes they bought that analytics team that sold services to dictator countries for spying (or whatever it was .. more coffee will bring additions brains cells into play) - someone will correct me - and YES that one pissed me off huge. almost left. but they "fired" the big shots in it iirc

yes they will track the shit out of your tx

yes in bed with IRS

yes can seize all if they feel like it

yes they will lock if you send to privacy wallet or casino (<< do they still do that? they did)

however for me, who mined my coins, and have only bought (a very little) but sold (mostly) my own coins there for 6 or 7 years, it has not had one issue. at all. and ive cashed out corn amounts that raise flags.

for me, yes its regulated to fuck and worse. but i dont use it as a wallet. its soley an on and off ramp.

yes i am prepared to lose whats there at any time. others who hold there should be too.

but it works for me, and for noob holders until they send to hardware/airgapped/paper/whatever

Jeez, what happened? Such a page crash I've never seen in WO before! Several hudred pages I think. Are we under a hacker attack? Are all old posts SAFU?

My SOMA analysis system is itching. Something is going to happen soon, price-wise. My money is on a quick leg up, not overwhelming but definite.

$11,000 by September

prolly more like up to 15k then down to 11k by september. you all know how much fun honey badger like to have fun when it wants.

I'm hardly a big gun here but I'm not going anywhere. WO has become a part of my life. If I'm not contributing I'm still here reading the thread. Definitely gonna miss Bawb (#nohomo) he's a legendary hodler and bitcoin bull. Most of the noobs who show up here are bearish for some reason so we need each and every bull to support us.  Cool

hope this doesnt come across wrong.

most of us in the corn are fiercely independent. its part of why bitcoin was created (IMO) we all can independently verify and control our wealth. thats a big part of freedom.

i am personally sad Bob has decided to leave. while we all can speculate, his reasons are his and his alone. perhaps he will come back. perhaps he will give us more detailed reasons. but whatever he does i respect that and will not speculate.

Bob, take care man.

edit: i am hardly a big gun. i am part of the peanut gallery
1850  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Did you know?] Bitcoin Table of Units on: July 16, 2020, 04:02:21 PM
i only know three: sats, mBTC and btc.

While this was an interesting read and there were many units I did not knew their name and some I could guess, the truth is those three denominations are for the most part the only ones you need to know, you need to know about the satoshi to better understand the cost of your transactions, the mBTC for your regular transactions and the base unit of one BTC for your holdings or your large purchases.

actually i never use mBTC i just remember as some wallets can display that. so really sats for fees and btc for everything else. i dont mind all the decimals.

1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: July 13, 2020, 12:45:51 PM
I wasn't quite clear on one part of your description.  If your GPUs have two PCIE connectors, both connectors from each GPU should be hooked to the same PSU.  I believe you described it this way but I wasn't quite sure.

yes the GPUs 6/8 pin power connectors must ALWAYS be on the same psu.
1854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware wallet was seized by US customs. on: July 13, 2020, 12:26:20 PM
rainwater shoudnt have hurt it at all and after a month of drying i would just fire it up and see. again, just may need a new cr2032 cmos battery (likely dead now) and it might come up to the bios screen on boot complaining and such or not recognize the drive to boot due to bios setting going wonky. reset to default and away you go. fans now are largely sealed bearings so probably unaffected.

ive resurrected computers and other electronics that were completely submerged for days.

edit: get a wired keyboard for testing if possible. i ran into a system that the bios didnt recognize a wireless keyboard that used usb receiver dongle (microsoft keyboard no less).
1855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: July 12, 2020, 11:03:56 PM
If you need to go with the two psus, I would power the board and the first few GPUs with one PSU and the rest of the gpus with the 2nd PSU.  I have done this before and it works.  If you are using psu's that can be synced like the Antec HCP, hook up the sync cord so they both turn on and off together.  Alternatively, you need to make sure to turn on psu 2 then psu 1.  When you shutoff, do it in the opposite order: 1 and then 2.

this is the way i have my onda d8p (a similar mobo), all mobo connections and a 2-3 gpus on one psu, and the remaining gpus 6/8 pin connectors on the 2nd.

i used a add2psu (a relay) to control both psus from the motherboard power button. makes it easier as you dont have to worry about the order of psus turning on/off. not strictly needed though.

attempts to manage liquidation in a way that is prudent, reasonable and either tries to maximize incremental cash out given that such cash out is also within a timeline that has been authorized by the HODLer....
in this case authorized by the hodlers wife Grin

Poor lil vapourminer.  sucks to be uie.   Cry Cry Cry

*whimper*

oh wait

edit: on a more serious note..

back in the day when i started GPU mining bitcoin my (our) plan was sell 1/2 keep 1/2 to see where bitcoin went.  the selling was to cover the hardware and electric. well obviously it went way past each of our expectations. so for a bit when we wanted fiat for lifestyle upgrades more came from corn.

then it was "yikes price very very moon in progress" so stuff came from mostly fiat at that point

now when i want some fiat for whatever, i try to draw kinda a little bit sorta vaguely equally from all assets.

After watching this topic for a while I guess I decided to invest a few hundred bucks in yolodice too. This rollercoaster looks fun. I wish there were more trusted casinos that accept investors' money. Yolodice looks safe enough. It will be a good addition to my freebitco.in investment.

Yolo dice,  Mindrust approved!

OMG! Why do I get a sense that mindrust is going to be mindrusted (again)?

1860  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Collection of 18.509 found and used Brainwallets on: July 11, 2020, 12:32:16 PM
I think it would be a good idea if wallet software included a blacklist of such addresses, as well as known weak brainwallets, showing an additional dialog with a strong warning that funds may be permanently lost (or stolen) if the transaction proceeds. Checking any generated (inbound) addresses against the list would also help catch any glaring address generation bugs. (An assert that the result must not equal <hash of empty string> after each call to sha256 or ripemd160 would have caught this error.)

centralized database of bad addys?

may sound good on 1st glance but nope for me.

maybe check against some private, local blacklist maintained by the user but thats up the user.

EDIT: saw that post was 7 months old oops
