2341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still excited when there is news about the real Satoshi coming up on: September 08, 2019, 10:28:40 AM
People are still getting obsessed with Satoshi Nakamoto until know.

Why don't you guys focus on his creations, I mean it's very satisfying if you've known the process and how the blockchain works right? You're just wasting your time searching and reading about the articles on people who claim they're SN.

Satoshi has a real account here if he will reveal him/herself, the satoshi will be used for the revelations. For those who will ask if the account is legit, well I'm sure he's the real satoshi and we knew that bitcointalk.org is the founding forum about bitcoin. Even the section on Reddit r/bitcoin, it's managed by the same people in here. The forum and bitcoin was created with the same year so it's an additional assurance for you to believe that it's legit.
2342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We still don't have any idea about the real Satoshi on: September 08, 2019, 10:20:00 AM
--

I understand the people why they're very curious who's the real Satoshi Nakamoto but let think wisely, we knew that it's impossible for the real Satoshi to reveal him/herself.

It's better also if the whole community is more obsessed with the technology that's created by SN which is the chain network or blockchain. We can innovate mo interesting studies using the blockchain and will develop our society.

I'm also curious about Satoshi Nakamoto but not obsessed at all. I'm enough with his/her creations and it really has a lot of benefits for the people.  Cheesy

Answer my question now,

Why do you need to know who Satoshi Nakamoto is?? What's the requirement??

Finding Satoshi has just became a wide goose chasing game which is leading to nowhere! Let's stop here! It makes no sense to find Satoshi or the creator of bitcoin! You have his creation so make use of it!

I don't need to answer that. I'm also against with some threads that are filled with Satoshi Nakamoto post.  Grin
2343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheaters . who caused the cryptocurrency to go down on: September 08, 2019, 10:14:37 AM
Cheaters are like viruses to the IEO's and ICO's already and they are growing in a rapid rate. What I mean is in every ICO or IEO that is launched, there will still be cheaters on it. It is either the bounty hunters, the investors or the team itself.

The success rate of the ICO right now decreased drastically within the past 3 years including this year because of different cheaters. This is one of the reason too why most investors doesn't want to invest in ICO already or IEO unless a popular exchange launched it.

That's the reason why there's a lot of ICO and IEO that's failing due to improper way of promotion because of cheaters. It's also the reason why some devs of the platform are escaping after the ICO because of bankruptcy and no one didn't invest. So there's a lot of scam projects that are existing until now.

--
Regarding about cheaters on bounties, I know someone in our local that have a lot of accounts and they're all in BTC paying signature campaigns. They're just filling the threads with fake conversation and that will lead to the destruction of our own community. The merits are just circulating on them and has a lot of advantages when it comes to debate.

I hope they get banned.  Cheesy
2344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / We still don't have any idea about the real Satoshi, stop false info on: September 08, 2019, 10:01:36 AM
The real Satoshi Nakamoto is still unknown and will be forever unknown.

So I'm hoping that we should stop spreading false information about the real Satoshi. Even the higher-ups and the pioneer of this bitcoin community doesn't talk about Satoshi Nakamoto because they know that the people who claim they're Satoshi are just faking.

The discussion is already filled with Satoshi Nakamoto threads. I know that some of you are very curious and obsessed with him/her but let us just appreciate his works.

just only a meme for those who believed to the people who claim they're sn.
2345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright is official a fraud on: September 07, 2019, 10:49:44 PM
Why didn't he just use Bitcoin signmessage command?Genius in simplicity and all that.

He can also use the forum if he's the real satoshi. If the moderators and staffs know him, even he lost his account he can easily access it due to its personality. I'm still waiting for the pub announcement of the satoshi account here in bitcointalk.org and at first, I knew that Craig Wright was actually a fraud.

His actions are very reckless and obviously desperate for the title. The real SN is chillin' and laughing about this news. Roll Eyes
2346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: President Trump going against BitCoin | JP Morgan Using BitCoin to trade drug on: September 07, 2019, 10:41:43 PM
I think there are other reasons why Trump doesn't want bitcoin at all.

It's very superficial if he doesn't want bitcoin because of illegal transactions. Well, most of the transaction nowadays are being done using fiat. We can't blame him for that but I know it's for the best.

We're lucky here in the Philippines even President Duterte is having a war on drugs, he didn't think about the abilities of bitcoin because only few of us know about the technology behind bitcoin which is blockchain.
2347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to receive a donation in bitcoins? on: September 07, 2019, 10:26:27 PM
If your story was true (hoping it's legit), it's a difficult situation you have there.

There are 2 ways of lending a money here.
The first one is to have collateral so you can loan any money you want. Assuming that the collateral is from the top list of CMC or CoinMarketCap then you'll be funded by the lender. If it's not a good altcoin, then it will be rejected by some users.

The second, if you're a reputable member and many people know you for doing a great thing here in our forum, you can loan any amount without collateral. But only few lenders are doing that because it's still risky to lend money to a person you didn't know.

I hope you solve your problem immediately. This will also serve as a lesson for you.  Cheesy
2348  Local / Pamilihan / Re: LENDING SECTION HERE (Funds Available - [btc]0.0475) Wanted Borrowers! on: September 02, 2019, 12:18:46 PM

Since may issue ngayon about the defaulted loan, I think it's the time to make it more strict and secured. Paano kung taasan na yung requirements for having a loan dito sa local para maiwasan na yung mga ganitong issue?

Proposed Rules for Lending:

1. Sr. Member and above are allowed to request loan without collateral. But Sr. Members and above should have at least:
  • 400 activities above.
  • Atleast 20 received merits in our local board. It will serve as;
    • Proof of being an active member of the local board

2. Full Member and below should have valid collateral to request a loan.
  • Altcoin should be the only valid collateral and listed on CoinMarketCap. To negate this rule:
    • The user should have at least 50 received merits in our local board.
    • Should be active in the local board for almost 2-3 consecutive months.
    • Should have active contact. (Telegram and etc.)

Suggestion ko lang 'to, yung iba sa inyo ay baka kumontra because of the stated rules. For me, hindi naman siya gaanong kabigat since kung active ka naman talaga at may contribution ka sa ating local, madali nalang din makakapagloan. We need to make it harder for some people na mahirap pagkatiwalaan kasi tayo rin ang mahihirapan sa huli. After all, money is what we're talking here, madaming nagagawa ang pera.

Again, this is only my suggestion, if against kayo it's okay lang naman, mahirap maging lender kasi araw araw mong iisipin kung kelan magbabayad yung papautangin mo. Cheesy
2349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: September 01, 2019, 05:56:16 PM
Advantages of Lottery for everyone;
  • Cheap
  • Many outlets nationwide

Most of the people are trying their luck in the lottery since it's very cheap and have a high prize pool. The lottery is also for a good cause, sometimes it is for the charity or any program that supports individuals and society.

Example, if you've wanted to budget your money but at the same time you wanted to spend a little on gambling, then a lottery is a solution. It may be hard to win but at least you're financially stable because of that.

The prize was also big, if you're the lucky one then it will literally change your whole life. Through that money, you'll live in luxurious life and will use that money to make a business that will prolong your wealth. Nowadays, you can find a lot of outlets nationwide, even here in my country, every street has a lottery so we don't need to go far just to bet. There are also some online lottery if you're tired from work, you can bet also there.

And the last one is, a lottery is open 24/7, I mean it's being done every day so you've more chances to win if you bet everyday.

The only disadvantage of this is, you'll spent money every day. What if that money that you've spent in a lottery for how many years was being saved in the bank? Maybe you're a millionaire now.
2350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Payment Gateway on: September 01, 2019, 05:28:15 PM
Still, there are many people who voted for bitpay even it's not a user-friendly platform now.

Noted, I'm not very familiar with that payment gateway. I'm only familiar with those gateways who has been used and tested by many people.

I haven't come across large scale transactions through different payment gateways. Through articles came to know about bitpay having increased service being provided through it. In specific they have got a team which also helps with making the transaction with all legal processes fulfilled. Upon the same I find bitpay to be the best.

I hope you've checked the articles regarding bitpay now. I know it's a great bitcoin payment gateway but not today.
2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 01, 2019, 04:50:13 PM
I don’t know what’s the real motive of China about this another controversy but what I think is the issue of illegal gambling in the Philippines and also the illegal workers that involving all Chinese people.but whatever’s their position in this matter they should have asked the president politely not like slaves that whenever they declaring something Filipino has no option but to follow them.l
But you are right that President Duterte is still the last words for this and I trust him to give good verdict in everything special involving our sovereignty and freedom

It's because Chinese people are trying to go here just to do gambling. China has already banned gambling in their country so some Chinese businessman are trying to make money here in the Philippines through Gambling.

Quote
Online gambling is not available to customers based in the Philippines and websites of such firms are blocked. ... Online gambling remains illegal under Chinese law, but as of June 2019, there were 56 licensed POGOs and an estimated workforce of over 100,000 Chinese citizens in Manila working in this sector.

Well, it's for our own security and hopes that China doesn't have any plan to destroy our economic stability.

2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: September 01, 2019, 04:34:53 PM
I've already started even I don't know what cryptocurrency is, so basically, to answer that question of yours, most of the people here started gambling even a basic one using fiat money.

When I was in "peryahan" or festive, I always play in color game and adding. The game was very fast and it can double your money instantly but it's pure luck. Now that I'm aware with cryptocurrency, I'm using it in online gambling sites about eSports since I'm a gamer.

Since technology is everywhere, I'm assuming that most of the people are now using the online casino for entertainment and to make income.
2353  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to reverse a given merit sent mistakenly to a different post? on: September 01, 2019, 04:07:50 PM
To OP, you can't. After clicking the +Merit, it will show if how many merits and the title of the thread, how did you end up giving merit to mistaken posts?

oh my precious non-reversable merit...   Tongue
you can always ask receiver to send you back merits, but I see no point in doing so.

I doubt he'll give it back without any good reason and they might be accused of exchanging merits since @iamsheikhadil posted this to admit his mistake that he give merit to a non-quality post.

many users have knowingly gave out huge number of merits to one liners, sometimes 50 merits and above
That happened a lot in the early days of the merit system, and it doesn't happen much anymore (that I know of).  Nor were those mistakes.  Misuse of merits, maybe.  Mistakes, no.

I've known a lot of accounts that have 50 merits given to deleted posts on early days. This was obviously done by alt accounts and didn't think about being punished in the future so they recklessly spent those in one account.
2354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All these guys claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto ! on: September 01, 2019, 01:20:15 PM
I wonder why they did not claim the name before when the Bitcoin price is just $0,01?

What for? They still have no big reasons to claim it.
Usually, people are just interested to do something that can instantly bring big impacts. If they claimed it when Bitcoin was still not popular, I doubt people will care about it. While if they claim it now, it may become a trending topic on social media.  Grin
Good logic, why do many people just say that now, when the price of bitcoin goes up? What's the point of making a claim about Satoshi Nakamoto? what is the advantage for someone who claims to be the true satoshi nakamoto? will someone give you bitcoin for free if you claim to be satoshi nakamoto?

Because it's a great thing now to claim to be Satoshi because of good opportunities coming to them.

All of them are claiming to be legit Satoshi Nakamoto when there's a lot of achievements to be claimed but when the Bitcoin wasn't that good they ignore it. Some of them said that they lost the hard drive that will serve as proof of being Satoshi Nakamoto, how dumb is that? Everyone can say that they're Satoshi Nakamoto but for me, I'm just waiting for his revelations by posting in this forum, not in public.
2355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Best Bitcoin Payment Gateway on: September 01, 2019, 10:58:56 AM
Since there are 2 existing issues as of now about bitcoin payment gateways which are;
So what's the best Bitcoin payment gateway now and tell me why it's the best one?

  • bitpay
  • btcpay
  • coingate
  • opennode
  • shopify

This thread might help people to choose what platform they will use.

For me, it's BTCpay since it's free and open-source with LN payment method.  Cheesy
2356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrency soon be an alternate payment option? on: September 01, 2019, 10:41:11 AM
Yes, there are some various platforms even here in my country which is Philippines is accepting now bitcoin as payment. You can see a lot of merchants that accepts bitcoin now that's why the there's a lot of bitcoin payment gateways as of now.
  • bitpay
  • btcpay

When it comes to gaming platforms, steam already started accepting bitcoin but definitely stop it because of the stability of the market.
Fyi, we have a local wallet here in PH that accepts and converts BTC to PHP, so basically we can buy or pay bills through bitcoin.

I know that's happening in different platforms right now.

2358  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Muli natin bisitahin ang Phishing at iba't ibang uri nito. on: September 01, 2019, 06:36:42 AM
Quote
To give you an idea: in 2016, the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG) saw over 92,000 phishing attempts every month, a 5,753% increase since 2004. Even worse, a study by Wombat Security found that 76% of companies reported falling victim to a phishing attack in 2016.

Effective way but not easy to deploy, bakit ko nasabi? It's hard to make a tool that will fool thousands of people unlike sa common scamming method na verbal or thru chat na need mo pang gumamit ng mga magagandang salita para makuha ang loob ng isang victim.

You need to be observant in the internet, even this forum, bitcointalk.org have also phishing sites kaya kapag nagkamali kaya, may possibilities na yung account mo ay ma-hack.

I hope OP should add some tips to avoid Phishing pero if you're looking that info, try to browse this.
Regarding about Phishing sites, I hope they up this thread kasi mas kumpleto ito;

Etherdelta was still alive? I thought it was dead long ago kasi sobrang daming DEX ang nagsilabasan. Lagi kong gamit ang etherdelta and it's the safest dex platform bago pa magkaroon ng issue about them.

Pero marami ding reputable na exchanges that cause an issue, Mercatox was one of them. I'm trying to trade my XRB sa mercatox dati pero hindi rin pumasok samin yung pera kaya sayang lang din.

Ang trusted lang talaga for me is KuCoin, as of now wala pa rin atang matinding issue sa kanila.

Don't focus on airdrops or free bounties, kaya minsan mas napapalapit tayo sa mga scams is because sobrang greedy natin sa pera.

Telegram is where scammers live in, kaya bihira nalang talaga ako sa telegram, bumibisita nalang ako if there are chats from our community.
