Anywhere I can source someone to work on a website that can list the locations of public bbqs ?

bbqs ?

Maybe public barbecues? I think that is popular in Australia. xD
@rikrikrik you can see in the services part of the forum if anyone can do that for you. Or move this thread there https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

This is great. xD Is there any way for us to place our ships? Or is it always random?
@rayhan you need to win by a greater number of shots. Maybe 14 to 20 or something lol. Less than that and you start losing bitcoins.
is it possible to make a profit we should won a landslide victory as 20-9
i mean, i get 20 points and the opponent only less than 10
is like that?

The computer fires randomly so it's not a difficult game lol and I don't think you have to win by that much to profit. Maybe 20-12 or 20-13 is enough.

@baumi I didn't read everything, but this site seems to have some detail about building a program to win at battleship with good odds

As far as i know there is already a perfect strategy to play the original battle ships, it wouldnt be hard for someone to make a bot to play this one 100% efficiently

I think mathematically perfect strategy is not a problem for PvP Battleship. Certainly, there is a perfect strategy. But when you need to choose one square from N empty squares, mathematics is useless. And when you hit a ship, you don't need an advanced computation to search for rest of ship. Human reasoning is sufficient for that. I think, computer advantage is unlikely in the Battleship game.

EDIT: If anybody know about some mathematical analysis of Battleship game, post it here, please.

I think there is a strategy to make a good bot to play this.
You aren't choosing only from n empty squares to find enemy ships in the beginning, but have to look at the size and how they can be on the board. So it's more of a good search strategy.

2365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why This Greek Tragedy Could Mean Global Disaster on: March 14, 2015, 12:26:43 AM
That is all well known and makes the whole crisis now even more of a joke than it actually appears at first glance.  What doesn't make sense to me is why they weren't thrown out of the euro straight away when this was found out?

It doesn't really explain why the Greek tragedy could mean global disaster either? They could be the first domino, but otherwise I doubt they will cause a global disaster.

A panic on the investors side and a weak can cause issues for the other mediterranean  EU states (financially not much better than Greece) what can trigger similar social upheavals like in Greece, and neither the Italian not the Spanish economies are something what the rest of the EU can manage without suffering a similar meltdown like in 2007-2008. If the EU goes into depression that will have a negative effect on the Chinese and Indian and only God knows on what other economies as well and then nobody will buy US treasury bonds... So everybody going to be in deep shit.

I think that it's not just US treasury bonds that don't get bought in Europe at least. Any product from the United States will be bought less and I think that is already happening with the Euro going down. : /
At least Europe will get more American tourists now lol.
2366  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Islamic State says it has killed two men for homosexuality on: March 11, 2015, 10:57:15 PM
i am surprised that anyone is shocked.  barbarians over there.  just nuke em already

I don't know if killing more people will resolve anything. That's what helped created the situation in the first place.
Maybe helping improve the lives of people there and stop funding radicals is better. ISIS won't disappear quickly but the situation won't get worse : /
2367  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hiring Trolls Please Apply Inside on: March 11, 2015, 10:04:25 PM
i can be a troll, but being a paid troll lol. whats the rate?

Hi lol  ....

0.001 per/ assignment . You can spend hours trolling or a few seconds trolling it doesn't matter as long as you've trolled.  The price is a "grunt workers" price to start , but can clearly go up as we go along.

0.001 per assignment is too little pay for a troll. : /
And I think the best troll on this forum is maybe notlambchop, if he hasn't been banned yet xD
2368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone still living out of Bitcoin? on: March 10, 2015, 12:48:59 PM
^ I think that depends on where they live. For example I don't have any shops around me that accept bitcoin : / so I couldn't do it for now.
But some say they have conditions for it:

In fact I do not think that it is possible, if you use only bitcoins, paying daily your expenses. Where you can find fuel station, which work with BTC ? Also restaurants will not accept this, except just one or two.

if you cannot find a fuel station that accepts bitcoins. then ask to speak to th fuel station manager and talk to him about bitcoin. get them to accept bitcoin.

you really need to realise that bitcoin is not a company with a sales team that goes around businesses and gets them onboard. if you want your local station or grocery store to accept bitcoin then you need to ask your local store to accept bitcoin.

once you have got your local fuel station and grocery store to accept bitcoin, then work on your landlordand help them to understand bitcoin too..

then once you feel you can live, eat, travel via bitcoin.. then you have a chance to enter this experiment. as thats the main aim of the experiment to get more businesses accepting it and get people living off of it.

i would enter it myself but i have already done the hard work in my area and am happy living off of bitcoin. thus it is only fair to allow someone else the chance to become fully bitcoin integrated, and get a prize for doing so

Hello every one
Im doing a servey. Please do vote this and answer it.
where you are spending your most of time, on this forum or on social sites like fb and twitter.
And why?

I spend most of my time working and studying lol. Then I spend a little time on facebook and more here.
I have a lot of friends that use Facebook and it's always good to see how they are doing. But this forum is more interesting to me, and discussions are more engaging, I think lol.
2371  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greece Proposes Using Tourists as Tax Spies to Fill Shortfall... on: March 09, 2015, 03:41:57 PM
Sounds like a good plan. The Greeks need to either do away with the services they can't afford or pay their fucking share of their taxes...you can't refuse to pay taxes and then be pissed that the government has to resort to austerity measures.

Where do I sign up? I'll take a trip to Greece to do some sleuthing on their dime!

So it will increase tourism and help catch tax evaders! Two in one xD

Tourists have no clue how to tell if a company is evading tax. This scheme is not going to help Greece reduce their untaxed black market.

In the article it says they will get some basic training to do it.

Look at the extent of the tax evasion problem in Greece. Back when they were occupied territory of the Ottoman Empire, tax evasion was a form of patriotism. The tradition is still so pervasive that today's politicians still openly refer to tax evasion as Greece's national past time. From about 2005 on, tax evasion rates have been around 40% for the country. When nearly half of the population that is supposed to be paying taxes isn't, and then you add on top of that public corruption tied to a deeply ingrained cronyism and nepotism system, and overly generous pension payments driven by politically connected and powerful government unions, it's no wonder Greece is in shambles. A study of tax evasion found that tax evasion from self-employed people alone in Greece in 2009 accounted for 31% of the budget deficit. It was 40% in 2008. Worse, tax evasion is highest among the professional classes (the highest earners). (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/sep/09/greece-tax-evasion-professional-classes?CMP=twt_gu) Tax rates are really high there, but that's probably necessary when so many people don't pay and there's so much corruption. The Greek public wants to keep their corrupt government, cronyism, and generous government benefits, and wants to not pay taxes too. That's not a winning combination, and it's a wonder they keep finding people to loan them money when they've proven unable/unwilling to reform their system. Default is inevitable in my opinion.

I don't think they want to keep a corrupt government. That's why they voted for this last government, and why they are doing this to catch tax evaders and passing other reforms, isn't it?
2372  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Swiss pilots attempt first around-the-world solar flight on: March 09, 2015, 03:13:56 PM
A Swiss pilot has begun the first ever attempt to fly around the world in a plane propelled only by the sun.

André Borschberg and his compatriot Bertrand Piccard will take turns piloting the single seater Solar Impulse 2 for 21,747 miles (35,000km) over 12 legs, including gruelling five- to six-day stints across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. The entire journey will take five months.

http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/mar/08/swiss-pilots-attempt-worlds-first-around-world-solar-flight

I saw a documentary about this yeesterday, it seems pretty pointless.  The pilot has been around the world in a hot air baloon before (also pointless) but sees this as a great step forward in solar powered flight, even though it can only carry two people, is incredibly slow and can't be scaled up.

Solar panels on planes seems like a good idea to help power some simple electronics on board, it won't even offer enough energy to really help fly a jet though. It's good advertising for Breitling though and good for the adverturers ego no doubt.

This also helped in other things like energy efficiency, and that is apparently one of the cheapest ways to reduce carbon emissions according to the article. But I think it will also bring more attention to what can be done with alternative sources of power. And even if it can't be scaled up for bigger airplanes for now, it's a step in that direction.
2373  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 09, 2015, 11:53:51 AM
Just to get a number, what would a legendary member could get per month at the moment? Preferably something that wont turn a scam since i wouldnt like to promote a scam. The table unfortunately is really much informing when you want to know the gain per timeframe. One would have to implement the list into excel and run some calculations first.

So whats the gain? Around 30USD monthly it was some time ago. Is it more now?

I think you can make more than that with a legendary account. Coinroyale pays 0.16 per month, so $43 for 80 posts.
But if you post more than that each month you can join bit-x that pays 0.0016 for each post without any limit lol.
2374  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Buying Accounts on: March 07, 2015, 01:44:03 AM
^ At least in the trust part of their profile they probably have more views than most! xD
And that may be a good idea. There aren't so many advertisers with negative trust so they may be more visible, and are cheaper to get lol. glhf with the business!
2375  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Buying Accounts on: March 07, 2015, 01:15:15 AM
Hey,

I'm taking negative trusted accounts, no matter how extreme the negative trust is.

Of course, the price will be extremely lowered than normal accounts.

My offer:

Newbie: BTC0.0000
Jr. Member: BTC0.0000
Member: BTC0.002
Full Member: BTC0.01
Sr. Member: BTC0.0175
Hero Member: BTC0.05

The price depends on how much negative trust you receive, your trust score etc. Prices are negotiable, PM me for offers.

Thanks!

EDIT: I'll also be taking neutral/trusted accounts. PM me for prices.

What are you going to do with accounts with negative trust? xD Try to remove the trust they have to resell them?
But isn't this rewarding scammers also? They got the negative trust for a reason. : /
2376  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Man gets life in prison for selling $20 worth of weed to undercover cop on: March 05, 2015, 08:02:29 PM
This must be bs so i call it, (a friend) of mine got caught with over 50 plants and was given a hefty fine an probation etc no he is not a snitch he is a decent man who just happens to like to relax with a smoke.

So one dude gets slap on the wrist for multiple plants and this is not a first i read about it a lot with other people who get similar punishment and another who dabbles with the crumbs gets life? come on!

On the bright side he is no longer homeless and he has food...

I think it depends on the state where it happens. I'm not American but at least that is what someone said above. Some states consider it just a misdemeanor but more conservative states give tougher sentences. It doesn't help that he was already on his third strike. : /
And he has food and shelter now, but the money they spend imprisoning people for these non violent crimes could be spent to help them while they are free. It could even be cheaper.

Go team USA  Shocked " The home of the free and the brave" WTF Huh

The USA police are paid to protect the citizens not to kill them, amazing! Now the united states of america is not more the home of freedom (for a long time).

I am sure there must have been some reason for such a behaviour. No one just kills another human being for nothing.
No offense, but this is the most childish thing I've seen today. How old are you?

Sorry, I didn't mean human being there. I meant, a cop doesn't just kill another person for nothing. They only fight back or attack , if they are threatened or are fired at,.

We know that isn't true. There are too many cases of police brutality.
I think what happens is they never take any risk. If there is a 1% chance of them being harmed they will shot and kill others. : /
2380  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corruption Rant on: March 02, 2015, 09:25:27 PM
I'll have to agree on the school part, still I don't see free public education as corrupt by money. At least not in most countries.

There are things in the history of a country that's sometimes not taught in school, it's not even in their curriculum. You don't learn about false-flag operations in history classes, at least not to a large degree. And you don't learn too much about geopolitics. You're also not very encouraged to ask questions, even if that means questioning authority.

There are a lot of things in society that most people in general do not like to talk about, and that's often reflected in the curriculum. So you could say many teachers are not corrupted, but the reason the curriculum is twisted a certain way, means that there are interests that make it that way.

However, it's not healthy obsessing too much about all the bad things, then a man could go insane! So getting outside and moving the body is not a bad idea! When you feel better, then the world also feels like a better place.

And while a single man cannot change the world, you can do whatever you can to make it non-corrupted.

I can't help but feel powerless in making any kind of positive difference in my own community, hence my own government, much less the world. Like the popular saying goes - "Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner."

I agree it isn't healthy obsessing about it and at times I do feel like I'm the only sane person (although I know there are others like me) in this insane world, the revelation of which thereby ironically driving me insane in the process. Yet, not thinking and talking about it is equally unappealing to me, like sticking your head in the sand, even though I'm absolutely convinced of its futility. Human nature is what it is and we did not get here by accident. No amount of walking is ever going to change that or somehow make the world feel like a better place to me.

I used to vehemently disagree with a quotation I believe is attributed to Marcus Aurelius, "The world is as it should be.", since a) that's exactly what an elitist would say and b) it is my belief that if we wanted to we could make the world a better place. It was much later when I realized the truth of it. The world is exactly the way we've allowed it to become, whether it be through action or inaction, and it will never change because this is human nature. This sentiment is best described by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in 'The Gulag Archipelago 1918-1956' (1973) - If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?

I think if you want to make changes in the world it is better to start with your community. Maybe many people are distracted and have little time to make big changes, but what affects their lives directly they will want to change. Start by knowing people near you, including people with stores and businesses, and homeless people. It's harder to organize people if they don't know each other and don't trust each other. Then try to organize to solve small problems in the community, trying to help each other and go from there. It's a small beginning and hard but makes a difference in time.
And I agree that the world is as it should be because of our actions. But I think it has been improving with time and not getting worse. For example women's rights have improved, slavery, child labor etc, still happen but aren't acceptable by most anymore. What part of human nature we use depends on the circumstances we are in.
