2361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 30, 2022, 10:36:22 PM
Congratulations to the Celtics for winning the ECF. That was a hell of a game, Heat almost made it, if only Butler did not rush his decision, he shots a 3 point instead of attacking, I don't know what he was thinking, maybe he just want his team to be ahead, but his shot is not a high percentage shot, there's a better shot than that. What a waste of effort, they could have a comeback win.

I seriously think that Butler didn't rushed that shot, they cannot make it through the end of the game if he forced an OT. That is why he suddenly tried to shoot a long three even though he can make a 2 point shot if he chose to attack the paint. They were already tired and Bam Adebayo cannot force himself in the center because he was also busy on offensive while the others cannot make a shot.

Congratulations to the Boston Celtics especially Jayson Tatum for winning the ECF MVP award.

Jason Tatum deserves that award, he was a big contributor to the success of their team, so now it's going to be Curry vs Tatum as they are the best players on their respective team. It's a different kind of ball game, back to zero, and hopefully, a game 7 is possible again.
Yeah, it is expected that Jason Tatum will win the ECF MVP award no doubt about that.

And the Heat losses big time, they have their chances to win game 7, only if Butler hit that crucial 3 point they might win it as they will have a 1 point lead. But that's how the game is, and then the Heat again started slow that gives them a hard time to trying to get close as Boston is not going to give up that lead easily specially in a game 7.
2362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 28, 2022, 08:01:16 AM
I'm pretty sure the Boston Celtics will now end the series later. Miami Heat already did their best but it's clear they can't stand a chance to bounce back in this series. Playing at the Celtics arena, the crowd will boost their strength to finally end the series. It will be Celtics vs Warriors in the Finals.

Seems not a good match to me even though Miami will win in this series. Golden State Warriors is already an automatic winner for me in the NBA Finals. Never seen any reason why the Warriors should struggle at the ECF Champion.

It's pretty intense game so far though, the Heat had a good start and then the Celtics has to claw back in the 4th quarter.

They are currently tied at 99 with 2 minutes to go, this game could go either way so let's see who will earn the right to face the Warriors in the finals.

Edit: Heat now leads 99-104, 1:25 minutes to go.

Heat already got the game 6 and they are now forced to do the game 7 round. A healthy Jimmy Butler is too much for the Boston to handle plus the help of effective Lowry and Tucker. The game was so intense and I'm surprised that Boston keeps losing in there own home court even with there match against Bucks. Game 7 will be do or die so I expect a very close fight in there next game. Celtics is really exhausted in case they won the series because they already have a back 2 back game 7 match before the finals.  Cheesy

Exhausted? I don't believe in that, if they will be in the NBA Finals, they won't feel that because they are hungrier to win than feeling the tiredness. Celtics is going to avenge their loss in game 7, and the bookies believe in that, reason why they are still the favorite now with -2.5 currently.

Heat ML looks so easy for majority of the bettor, but it's not gonna be easy.
I agree, I don't think that the Celtics is exhausted in this game, it's that the Heat has more heart to win and wanted to force a game 7 at their homecourt. I'm just shocked though to see that they are still the favorite despite their bad performance. Jimmy Butler is back and so is Kyle Lowry, and they are good at shooting in their homecourt, I expect Struss and Caleb Martin or even if Robinson will allowed to play, they are going to shoot more 3 point in game 7.

There's an update about Tyler Herro's status.
Quote
Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said Herro (groin) is doing "everything he possibly can" to convince the coaching staff and trainers that he can play in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.
He badly wants to play and help the team. Sweet kid.
Because of that, I am going full blast for them. Miami Heat ML. Win or lose, they got my support. Adding Over 202.5.
Play hard, and play smart, are two of their key ingredients to winning this game. I know Butler will do anything to make Game 7 happen but the other players should have the same mindset as him if ever Herro will not be available. Give everything on this game and think about Game 7 later. One game at a time.
I taking the Over 201.5, 1.89, that's a good odds for me in this game. Even if they started slow just like the last 2 games, I think this score can still be get over with, if Tatum will score more in their home court and then Butler or Herro play good offensively to stay away from elimination. I'm not that confident of the -8.5 line for the Celtics, this is a do or die game for the Heat and maybe there are still some fire on them to make it 3-3 series.
Yeah, the Over was definitely a hit, even if I go higher and could get a better odds. Anyhow, the Heat forcing a game 7, what? when we think that they are on their way out, Jimmy and Lowry responded with a great performance from both of them.

They are still the underdog though in game 7 at their home court. But I will still go with the Over again at 197.5 (opening line).
2364  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if BTC's price falls to $8,000? on: May 28, 2022, 07:04:35 AM
we may be in a bearish market these days but i don't think we will fall below $20k. but if it will, would it be a very good opportunity to stash some satoshis? most noobs are regretting that they haven't joined when it was still cheap and even right now, it is already a good one to slowly collect and accumulate your sats.
the stakeholders are different now, so i don't think it will crash to a very low price. just always keep an eye on the market.

There is no guarantee that the prices will not fall below 20K. I would in fact say that even 10K level is not impossible. Whenever the cryptocurrency prices stay at lower levels for an extended duration, there will be all sorts of doomsday predictions from the financial experts (most of whom hate crypto because it stands against the fiat-based system). At least some of the investors will panic and end up selling most of their coins with heavy losses. But intelligent ones will be using these dips as an opportunity to accumulate.
Of course there is no guarantee, but every price range is possible? be it the prediction of $100k minimum next bull run or the price hitting it's previous all time high of $20k. And that is the beauty of it, I mean no one can predict it accurately and yet still we chooses to be in this game because of the many opportunities that it can give specially in the future like accumulating in bear market and then selling at the next bull run for profits.
2365  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your fill the bag Bitcoin price? on: May 28, 2022, 06:38:49 AM
Today was not a good day for Bitcoin. Ethereum looks like it’s about to break the yearly low, stock market had a nice rally and Bitcoin went down. Means it has decoupled finally however the wrong way. We were expecting for crypto to rally when stocks go down but we got the opposite.
That's weird though, if bitcoin and stocks decoupled recently. And it's scary because we might go down deeper while stocks are going to rally and recover. It might be the bitcoin investors with billions gone from our market simply moving to stocks now?

Right now it’s not looking too good in the near term, the $25K can easily get tested sometime soon. Especially if Ethereum breaks the $1700 support. On the usdt pairs it already broke the low such as like on Binance.
A price that everyone is waiting, $25k or lower could be the time to fill our bags. As for Ethereum, I still remember when it went below $100 way back in 2018, those where the days that you can really buy them at very very cheap.

2367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Mavericks) on: May 27, 2022, 11:17:08 PM

Warriors is just a tough team to beat after all, I think they now have all the odds to be the champions once again in the NBA, they're up in the rankings once again. Those outside shootings are just impossible to contain from the Warriors, they are a different breed tbh. I think it will be Celtics vs. Warriors in the NBA Finals.

Well, they have proved it before and they did it again this year. This only means that they don't really need KD to win those championships before, KD needs them.
What the Warriors only need is being healthy 100%. Iggy wasn't even playing, he was a great addition for both offensively and defensively.
I'm glad to see them once a again on the biggest stage.
I am also expecting the Celtics to win the ECF.
They snatched out being champion without KD as I remember,, it was just purely those former team members curry,Thompson, green and now some additional which do plays well on their role even though health would be the main issue yet these fellas are really that prone to injuries just like what happen on some of them which do really reults into long time rest which did really affect overall performance of the whole team. Celtics vs Gsw for sure on last or finals.

KD though was a big help as he was clutch in the games that gave them championships and KD was the MVP. So yes, the core of Curry, Thompson and Green is still intact right now, but we should give KD his credit during his time as a Warriors.

But now that he is gone, the core is working very hard to win another ring. And with the help of Poole and Wiggins, they could be the NBA champion this year.
2368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: May 27, 2022, 10:48:29 PM
Here I think it is difficult to determine the winner in advance, yes, Haney is younger than Kambosos by 5 years, but at the same time he has more fights 27 against 20, he also wins more often by knockouts and therefore he should spend less time in the ring, but this is not so because he wins by knockouts usually in 3/4 of the fight. So I think in this fight the chances of boxers are about 50/50

kambosos is too much for Haney. His punching speed, foot work, stamina are highly underated. And although he throws punches in an awkward angle, he's got good counter. He is indeed a student of Floyd. Unless Haney is smart enough to counter kambosos fast handspeed and good at cutting distance, there's a huge chance that he might be KO.

I like your confidence on Kambasos, because looking at the betting odds, looks like Haney is too much for Kambasos, but of course, let's see if who will win becasue this is definitely a great fight between the two undefeated champoions. I agree that Kambasos is underrated, I hope he will prove to us that he is a legit champion so he will gain the respect he deserve.

I think these boxers have an equal chance of winning because of the fact that they have their own different skillset, it will be just a matter of timing and correct execution to make a successful punch that could lead to a victorious but. Anyhow, there's also a chance of KO in both boxers but the chance is just slim as this would likely result into a UD. Expect a good fight people because I bet that's what we will see soon.
Might be a split decision for Kambosos? He did it against Lopez and actually in his 3 last fights. So this might likely be the case, going to the judges card and Haney winning on one judges and the other 2 giving it to Kambosos. I'm not seeing any knockout because both have a not so good percentage. But for sure this is one interesting fight, the war has started as they have been talking trash outside of the ring already.
2369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 27, 2022, 09:58:31 PM
It seems that nadal and djokovic are both in a high level and i don't think anyone can stop them even alcaraz if they managed to get through their opponents on the 1/8 finals which i think they would they will face each other and in my opinion it will be a war and it will be the closest game in Roland Garos between them.
Yeah, but it will be good if Alcaraz will have to face either one of them in the quarter-finals because that will be a great match.

Norrie is out though, losing in 4 sets against Khachanov.

No problem with the 3 in today's matches, they've won in straight sets. While in the women's side, upsets continue as there are a lot of seeded ladies that have been eliminated.

hah (take a deep breath)  Sad

Have you just woken up and haven't had time to see the current market conditions? or the news you got has expired. We are now at the end of May and Bitcoin is trading under $30K. If you look at the bloody market today and the altcoins are much more worrying. I hope you have backed it up to a stable coin.
He probably living under the rock,  Grin and just waken up.

But seriously, we are already in a bear market, so the bulls are nowhere to be found. Prices took a dive again, below $29k in the last 4 hours, and so the selling pressures is still there. Just take note though that the whole financial market is down, meaning investors and speculators have withdrawn money and it's a sign that something big might going to happen and this bloodbath will continue.
2371  Economy / Marketplace / Re: The story behind the $160,000 pair of socks (Unisocks) on: May 26, 2022, 11:18:50 PM
What’s interesting is that there are companies working to bridge the gap between the physical and the digital. I think what Uniswap did was genius. And really, this is only the beginning.
I think with the advent or crypto and blockchain, every industry innovators are trying to bridge the gap already and we have witnessed int's boom in late 2017-2018. However, not sure how many of those projects succeeded though. Because it seems everyone is just copying once idea and claim to be the next tools to help companies, for example selling merchandizes.

What do you think? Would you buy a $160k pair of socks?  Cool
Nah, I will rather bought other things with that huge amount of money unless you are a crypto millionaire.
2372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price with a 4 year cycle? on: May 26, 2022, 10:52:46 PM
Despite the worse bear market that we are in right now, I'm still confident that we won't have to wait for up to four years to reach a new ATH. Bitcoin has proven a number of times that it can surprise everybody and that it can deliver what others may think is impossible.
I don't think that we have seen the worst of the bear market yet, if we follow this 4 year cycle, then we still have 2 years (2022-2024) of downturn.

It was around this current price that Bitcoin had in January of last year. In November of the same year, the $69,000 ATH was reached. So it is very possible also that from this day, it would take less than a year before another ATH will be reached.
Again, ATH can be reached after the process of block halving, and if I'm not mistaken, it will be in 2024.so it's going to be more than 2 years before we can see that supposedly 6 digit price prediction.

No bets yet guys?
Okay, I'll start it. This may end the Western Conference Finals and the Warriors may celebrate tonight on their homecourt. Balloons and confetti may also be ready to drop from the roof.
I am with the Warriors to end this -7.5. I just wish they could cover that amount of spread.
Also taking the bet for Over 213.5. Good luck to everyone.
Yes, I will tail you in this one, the Warriors are going to win and celebrate it at their homecourt. It will be a bitter sweet for them because it take years for their core to comeback from all those injuries and be in the finals again.

I will just go with the -7.5 handicap. I think they can cover that one up and could win in double digits.
2374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end or only the beginning on: May 26, 2022, 09:27:08 PM
How many projects will rug pull in 2022? There are many projects that will face the same fate as Luna project but I believe we are able to raise voice on Luna CEO because he is popular and well known, what about projects with invincible CEO? There are tons of Defi and metaverse projects with invincible team, I think their case will be much worse than what we've seen.
We really can't tell, and since we are in a bear market, maybe there will be projects who thinks that they can't make money out of this cycle so much better if they will rug pull and disappear with investors money.

And probably this is will continue, as Luna has set a precedence, and this whole Defi thingy will most likely be the next one to rug pull. So the lesson is just to be very careful right now of our hard earn money specially investing in new projects.
2375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 26, 2022, 01:10:05 PM
Yeah, Alcaraz was really living dangerously for quite some time. Still - he managed to win and will be equally dangerous going forward. He has Korda next, then probably Corrie.

I was surprised to see Alcaraz struggle. Compare this with how Nadal, Djokovic and Medvedev are breezing through their matches without being even slightly troubled.
If Alcaraz has Korda next, then that could be a really tough match against another rising star. I wouldn't be too surprised after the last match if Alcaraz gets knocked out earlier than we were all expecting.
Hopefully as he is still very young, his body can recover very fast after a hard fought 5 set match last night. So I think Alcaraz will still go and get past Korda here, but he doesn't want to have the same performance as the last time. If he can finished it in 3 set then good.

Odds ML, Alcaraz is 1.13 sa favorite.

In the women's side, there's a lot of upsets already.
2376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 26, 2022, 11:52:02 AM
How about Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics later. This series is kinda unpredictable and I could not tell if the Heat do have the upper hand at their home. Boston stole one from them and it could happen again.
I may just watch the game and forget about betting.

It's pretty hard to predict who will win Game 5, even though the bookmakers think the Celtics are the favorites tonight. In addition, there is already an injury update, and the Celtics said that Smart and Williams will play, while the Heat said that Herro is out tonight. However, I think the Heat will have a chance to beat the Celtics if they can defend as they did in Game 3.

I think the bookies is right this time, game 5 was won by the Celtics.

Both Robert Williams and Marcus Smart played although limited minutes, but they have contributed big with their defense.

Unfortunately the Heat, don't have the players to score in this game, Bam did his share, but maybe Butler is still nursing that injury and not 100%.

Butler has been clearly bothered by his injury, he was all buckets all series from this playoffs then suddenly became a hot trash from the last 2 games after his injury. He went 7/37 fg from game 4 and 5. Kyle Lowry was a hot trash too. With them being inconsistent, we really can't expect them to win against the Celtics who's been playing great with all their heart to reach the Finals. Celtics are on a mission this playoffs, If the Heat won't find a way to fix their system offensively, game 6 might be their last game for the playoffs.
I'm a fan of Heat, but I would agree that both Butler and Lowry performed very poorly (because of the injuries), and that's why they are now behind the series and they give Boston a lot of chance to steal this series and go to the finals. I'm conceding that with the way they show in their homecourt and lost this big, it might be over for them mentally.
2377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 26, 2022, 10:42:19 AM
Sticking to signature campaign wouldn't do much tbh these days, they need more marketing campaigns beside that, even just doing giveaways, contests, bonuses every month or two will do as long as you're connected to the community.
Signature campaigns are part of the casino target marketing but of course they have lists for targeted marketing, so the wider the marketing the more new interactions of users interested in casino offers.
Everybody starts with signature campaigns before they blossom into a big casino.

This is a niche market and there's no other forum around that has garnered the most crypto users in one space. In my opinion, if casino's doesn't promote or stop their signature campaigns here, there could be sometime that they might lose their audience to a newer platforms. So it's very important to keep their signature campaigns here, regardless if they are old in crypto online games and casinos.
2378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Fiat Financial advisors are such hypocrites when it comes to Bitcoin on: May 26, 2022, 09:57:21 AM
So, next time when you see those financial advisors on TV bad mouthing Bitcoin, think of the things I mentioned above.
I do not think members of the forum would be much bothered about such talk shows or rants, neither are they the target audience. Such naysayers usually target individuals who are not savvy on Bitcoin and who have become so into the traditional system and playing it extremely safe (even though that poses risks).

And I'm not too bothered about such talks; I have a weird opinion that it might actually be good for those who listen to it; If one would blindly believe a TV guest without doing their own research then maybe they should not be into Bitcoin at all, as they would sell out at the slightest bear threat and blame whoever may have introduced them to it for their ruin.
Maybe there could be some, specially newbies in crypto market. Bitcoin is now being covered by traditional social media like CNBC, and so if those beginners see that the host or the guest are attacking bitcoin, they might experienced some qualms about their investment. Nevertheless, they will have to experience this negative sentiments and learn how to channel it in a positive way by just laughing at in and then buying some during dips.

I will also go with the Dallas this game, I think the Warriors might relax in this game and might want to finish Dallas in their home court game 5.
Same here, I expect Dallas to come out swinging and dish out their all here since it'll be a huge question mark to the team if they don't get at least one win while the other teams (Nuggets and Grizzlies) got at least one home win. I also want to include the under as I think the pace will continue to slow down similar to the last game but i'm more confident on Dallas to win.

Congrats as well mate, Dallas came through in the clutch, although I will say it give us some panic when they are about chipping that huge lead at the end of the 3rd and and in the final quarter.

As for the next game, Heat and Celtics, I will go with the Celtics here, -2.5 and maybe throw some on the under 203.5. I think Boston has the momentum after that big win and Jimmy Butler might now be 100% in this game.
2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 24, 2022, 08:52:01 PM
Congratulations @YuginKadoya. You got the right pick, everything was easy on the game if you are betting on the Celtics to win, they have dominated the game and they covered the spread easily. Looks like Butler and Bam do not want to play, they struggle big time as they didn't score based on their usual numbers.

In this game, the two superstars only scored.

Butler - 6 points
Bam - 9 points.

Both Butler and Adebayo was given almost the same time but they haven't got any good figures for the teams favor, it is quite clear that the Boston Celtics will own the game because Tyler Herro wasn't there and Butler was still injured but still played even if he knows he cannot do so much to the team. While on the Celtics side, I think the important player who was sidelined was just Marcus Smart and it's still unknown if he will be present on the next game at Miami.
And you can sense that there is something between Herro and Lowry and when Lowry went to the beat, he high 5 everyone but Herro doesn't want to extend his hands. But it's understandable, not the first time that the team goes into this kind of trouble.

I will also go with the Dallas this game, I think the Warriors might relax in this game and might want to finish Dallas in their home court game 5.
