241  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think BiPolarBob is crazy ?? - share with us the help he gave to you on: July 31, 2015, 09:34:21 PM
[Calling him a scammer isn't warranted as he's done nothing of the sort though I am abit suspicious or sceptical of him though maybe I'm being overly cycnical. If he asks for a big ammount for something in the future then I'd advise caution but I think it would have to be quite  big amount if he was trying to scam just to recoup all the money from his other giveaways. I guess only time will tell me I'm not expecting him to pull off a scam but at the same time wouldnt be surprised either.

You're right on that. For as far as I know he has not scammed anyone yet. Some might accuse him of "Buying trust", but I don't agree on that. See THIS post of Quickseller and see how much money he (Bob) gave away in just a short time.. There has not been such thing as a scam to cover all these cost has it?

I think Bob is just a great, generous guy. I've once received an incredible cheap code for Steam money of him, and next to that I've received a (LEGIT!!) digital Amazon code of him for only making a $2 donation to charity. Read, this code was legit (and it still is: the balance has not been deducted in my Amazon account where it still is located).

The reason why someone would be so generous to strangers, keeps unrevealed I guess. Personally I think he was one of the lucky ones who joined the Bitcoin train in the very beginning (and therefore has or had a lot of BTC / money).

You should notice that he especially helps people who have shown to be great persons too, for example Muhammed Zakir.
242  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: July 31, 2015, 09:21:53 PM
mistake I did was my bitcoin invest into promising PTC sites bitcoin that much, but in the end the site to be a scam  Undecided

I've been into PTC websites myself (as a member, not as an owner) before my Bitcoin time. However, I was able to build a nice amount of (active) referals on some of them and that was quite a nice period for me, untill some (and the biggest) websites simply stopped / stopped paying the members.. I probably lost hundreds on dollars on these websites, as I invested quite a lot in these websites - you were able to buy "referalpacks".

Since then, I've not been into any PTC website anymore. Also not related to Bitcoin. I just don't think it's worth your time and efforts - which is the same as faucets.

- -

I did not really lost much BTC gambling. In fact, I just won 0.067 BTC. I think I'm more into such kinds of gambling instead of dice games Wink.

The moment that people will tick the box then multiple ads will pop ups are the one that users don't want. Many claimers wants a clean faucet in order to gain many users and introduced it to their referrals.

Pop ups generate for me good money even better than other ads at the moment, This why i want to enable pop ups in my faucet for two weeks because i have only 1.5$ in my wallet so I have to use all availabe ads services.

I know that and every faucets needs ads to became alive but other faucet owner keeps rocking the faucet world today even without those annoying pop ads. Just think of an idea where you can keep your ads organized. And yes the previous post is right , you need some other income to make your faucet alive without relying too much in the ads.

You've got examples of other ways to make money with a faucet? The only possibility I can add is that some kinds of CAPTCHA-features do pay the owner of websites some small amounts of money. These CAPTCHA's then show also ads etcetera, you should Google for this Wink.

At this moment, I can not think about other ways to generate an extra income for faucets rather than advertisements (- you might also want to consider selling banners etc to Bitcoin / Altcoin / Gamble related websites  etc if you have enough visitors).

Thank you very much! Smiley I will place some bets again in a few days.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: July 31, 2015, 08:23:50 PM
The only money I save is through buying Bitcoin I've personally never had so much money at any given time in my savings.

I think that has happened because you have not made any other external use of your btc by investing it into something, gambling, etc. You're a hodler and you will not let go until it is a very very big market. That is a good thing but I advise you to play a little with your bitcoins and maybe invest them into something you think has a future, or better yet gamble with the coins you think you can afford to lose. Sometimes you will comeback with lot more you think you were ready to let go.

Suggesting someone to gamble with their money / BTC in order to save money is the worst and funniest thing I've read this week.. Overal, you loose money with gambling. Yes, there's a chance that you win money, but - in the end - there is always a bigger chance that you loose money (as the casino / dice website etc has an house edge in order to be profitable).

Investing might be a good advise - as long as you invest well and in the right project. That's very hard too..

247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: July 30, 2015, 03:49:31 PM
I I would say because it's really to easy to play and gamble with BTC, and dice is the most popular bitcoin gambling game in the world. People want fast and easy money and dice is fast and easy, that's it, maybe.

This question all relates to why do people gamble? I think everyone wants to earn ("free") money, right? Some of us are willing to pay for a chance to get more money, thus some of us are willing to gambling. Others are not, although they buy lottery tickets etcetera. And others are not willing to pay something (for a chance to win money).

And why people play dice in specific, I think because dice games are well known and quite easy to understand. (Online poker takes more knowledge for example). And, many dice websites can proove they're legit and fair. The reason why people use BTC for this gambling is because it's really easy, isn't it? I can't imagine a faster way gamble online than with using BTC for this. It works great on websites like Primedice.

I think advertisements are not unwanted for faucets. Yes, users / claimers would indeed see an absolute clean faucet (and by favor one that pays atleast 1 BTC per hit..) but that's a no-go. In order to keep a faucet alive, thus to cover the costs, you need some kind of income. If you can keep the faucet alive by advertisements (whether they pop up or not), then that's okay in my view. I think most of the users / claimers would understand this. And, in the end, you as the owner want to earn something with it in stead of just losing money right?
249  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie questions on: July 30, 2015, 02:53:09 PM
Xialla already gave you the correct answers to your questions. Indeed, you can get "free money" from faucets. However, the payouts of these faucets is really low. It is really a waste of time if you want to earn some pounds with that. It's much easier to work 1 hour in your county (for let's say £10 per hour) than earning £10 (~ 0.055BTC) with faucets.

As knightdk has mentioned, a faucet might only pay you 0.000001BTC per xx minutes. You need to visit the faucet 55000 times - and these faucets have time limits so you'll have to wait between each time you make use of it. Besides that, you need to fill in 55000 times a Captcha code (and probably even more if you mispell one). And that's all in related to doing your job for 1 hour. See where we are heading? It's quite a waste of time.

You better earn some pounds by doing a job and buy some (parts of) BTC then.  As soon as you've got some BTC, you might be able to start short term or long term trading to increase your amount of BTC. Use these terms as a query in the search field in the right top of this forum.

250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safety awareness of bitcoin users on: July 30, 2015, 02:44:26 PM
but the any link from newbie account can be suspicious and you can get hacked by this trick so i will advice everyone stay away from these kind of links where some kind of risk involve in it.

Exactly, and that's where my safety awareness starts. I do not open URLS from strangers, especially not here in this forum. Some people have tried to scam me by sending me strange URLs or even trying to let me download some files which should contain "only printscreens" in their opinion; they wanted me (a stranger to them) to help them fix their problems with their Bitcoin wallet.. And in order to do that, I should download some files. Right.

Common sense is already a great tool for your security awareness. I'm sorry if you really need respondents for your thesis (i've been there myself too), but I'm not going to help you with that. Especially not if you use such weird URLs.

Vroeger wel, maar wat ik nu lees op andere fora over dit onderwerp is dat het tegenwoordig wel meevalt met de echte lastminute korting. Dat is toch weer jammer.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: July 29, 2015, 11:04:50 PM
i am from Macedonia. In my country the minimal salary is 150 euros, with that kind of salary you can not save 20% because everything is expensive. But there are another ways to save money. You can do your shopping in the big markets and on every shopping you can save. You can also use the public transport because it is good way to go from a to b, etc.

Shopping from the super market is a good idea, as they have some promotional events where you can purchase your goods for the cheaper rates and that would save your money, and they have many promotional offers which provides you goods at the cheaper rates.

Whether a supermarket is cheaper than other shops or not, really depends on your area. For example, if you live near farmers, you should get your vegetables etc over there. I'm sure you can work something out over there, and you will spend less on those products. And, it's fresh!  There's also quite a difference in the prices of the various supermarkets. Checking leaflets / folders about promotions and comparing these between supermarkets does take some time, but it's worth it if you really have to look at every penny you spend. (Besides that, it keeps you busy and it doesn't cost any money Wink).
253  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: July 29, 2015, 09:50:57 PM
I would sell all my Bitcoins if... this deal is resulting in so much money that I can live a carefree life (together with my family) Smiley

I think that is the only reason why I would ever sell ALL my Bitcoins.

It is better not to sell all your bitcoins, If it is giving you best returns then I would suggest to sell a part of your bitcoins and keep rest for the future, as we all know that future is uncertain and give us some great surprises in the future, so it is better to keep some bitcoins safe in wallet for the future.

I know, and that is why I'm currently holding all my BTC. But, if it was absolutely sure that I could live carefree (as in: not to worry about money) for the rest of my life, I would sell them Wink.

New offer

1 year contract

Only $12  Smiley

And what do you get for $12?

1 Year long as many referals as possible for 1 website? (With the possibility of no referals / just inactive referals or fake referals?)

no 1 year contract will let you change your ref link anytime you want you just have to email us or pm me

Okay, but that does mean that you will get as much referals for 1 website (which you are able to change during the year) as possible, right? Are there any guarantees of how many referals you will get, or how active they will be?

257  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: July 29, 2015, 05:46:29 PM
New rule, the recommendation has to be something other than Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, True Detective, or Walking Dead

Lol. Since those are clearly the most dropped names on the thread.   What are some newer recommendations?

Indeed. But maybe that are the top series Wink. Add Prison Break, 24 and Sons of Anarchy to that.

Recommendations.. that really depends on what you like. I enjoyed watching "The Ropes" some time ago. Quite a short serie about door supervisors / bouncers / doormen with some drama and action. It's not a top serie, but it was great to watch and its story was not that hard. In other words, quite a nice serie to watch after a long day of work etc. (As I'm also working in a related industry, it was quite special to me next to the drama and action it has).
258  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: July 29, 2015, 05:43:01 PM
i think we should say the more you know skills even if its not professional, you can earn more than you studied it.

That indeed has always been the situation over here. Sure, people who went to college tend to earn more. However, these days, more and more graduates are looking for jobs. As they have to get a job (to get a kind of income), nowadays they also accept jobs that require lower skills levels or they accept the same jobs but for less money.

And all the while mostly losing 4 years workforce experience while at school, and coming out with significant student loans.

A LOT of degrees are not necessary, and a lot of jobs should be pushing for people to go get associates in 2 years, then enter the workforce.  Less debt, more real life experience and more even distribution of job seekers vs openings.

That are some wise words. I think the actual crisis / economic situations is doing harm for this situation, as companies do not look as much for (skilled) people as they did before.

I think some studies can be shorter, however, not all of them. Some studies (like medicines etc) need a lot of theoretical background etc, which can not be learned that effective in practise I guess. However, indeed, some jobs should be shorter. Less debt due to shorter student loans (= better for the economy) and faster in-practise knowledge and skills. Win-win!
259  Local / Off-topic (Nederlands) / Échte lastminute vakanties on: July 29, 2015, 05:24:07 PM
Beste Nederlandstalige Bitcointalkers,

Even wat anders. Ik heb het de laatste tijd erg druk gehad (en momenteel nog steeds overigens) waardoor ik dit jaar geen vakantie geboekt heb. Nu lijkt het erop dat ik daar óf begin september óf eind september wel tijd voor heb. Of wellicht ergens in oktober.

260  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: July 29, 2015, 05:17:56 PM
I sent 8 btc to my friend in 2011

What has he done with these coins? If he still owns them, you might work something out if that's still a good friend of you Wink.

The universal mistake of all people involved with Bitcoin is not starting early enough. Imagine being the first to discover the new technology, and mine it with the most mediocre mining power because the difficulty of the blocks were so low. As far as investing in altcoins. Some were successes. Dogecoin was something I never thought would lift off the ground and somehow made a name for itself. Perhaps not investing in that was also a mistake.

Amen. I've read about Bitcoin quite a while ago before I really started mining and buying it.. That's another mistake of me indeed. I'm glad I was quite on time with Dogecoin. I've sold some of them during a good period, so I can't complain on that one.
