Everyone is too busy trading the new Gold Coins in CryptoKingdom to care much about the XMR price. In fact we want it to go down so we can get more XMR.
How much down do you think it can go?

What is the difference between Darknote and XMR ? Is Monero better or not ? If yes, can you just explain me why. It would help me. Thanks !
Darknote has zero volume. And noone cares about it. It wil probably have a big pump and then the a great dump and slowly die. Right now darknote has such a small hashrate, and with a block reward this small, it will stay like this. This is a security risk. On top of that it is very illiquid, buying a considerable amount of it might be a real pain in the ass. Well that is a problem for monero too ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

It just shows how ruthless the DRK community is that they think they can just take this name for no reason, i dont even know if it can legally be bought, since as others have said, the name belongs to the whole community. If its worth that much, the DASH community should be paid a decent pay packet!
You guys are FUCKING RETARDED. This is a dead shitcoin, it's worth nothing and will NEVER amount to anything. Wow. mfw this dead shitcoin is actually more anonymous than Darkcoin. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fcdn.stripersonline.com%2Fb%2Fbd%2F341x450px-LL-bdec5f1b_guy-laughing-at-you-thumb1094641.jpeg&t=663&c=4-i1SWjRAd4P8A)

Granted the lefty government will destroy their economy, but I believe this looting is troika directed. Once they break from the EU, hopefully Varoufakis can influence the legislation of the Greek government- IMO he is truly Greece's only hope of getting out of this mess in the next 5-10 years.
Greece needs Europe much more than Europe needs Greece. If there's a clash, Greece would be 100% unable to borrow money for many, many years, and it would have to rely entirely on its exports to get foreign currencies. Living on olive oil and ouzo! That would be tough. >>political analyst pro

so any solution to avoid those things. what i mean. i have in poloniex some altcoins... ok? i have them because i want to trade. if they get hacked or anything else i loose....right? how can we avoid those things? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) When you are using exchanges you trust their operators. That is a risk you have to take into account. You cant go around it till there is a decentralized exchange. The only solution is to trade otc. Or at least send the coins to exchange, trade, send the coins back to your wallet. Every time and ASAP. It has happened before, it is happening now, it will happen in the future. When you trust someone there is always the risk of getting scammed.

rpietila , have you ever tried to communicate with BTC-e about adding XMR? Has anybody else done that? I noticed they delisted xpm,trc and ftc because of low volume but i am certain xmr could have a fairly good volume once listed there. I also know that they have told before that they certainly are not going to add DRK but have they ever talked about xmr?

its time for action ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) 192 soon behind us? sell side collapsed, lets see how high we go The first hour of trading is showing: absolutely nowhere. I told you we need a breather, and we are going to have one. What diverges from my plans (wishes ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ) is that it seems quite reluctant to go as low as predicted. Last time it came back all the way to 100k but that is not happening anymore due to so many more buyers. But the present buyers are likely not lifting it above 200k either. They are not that many. In the grand scheme of things, we still have 1-3 months of accumulation below the recent highs, and when it's over, it is over and is not coming back. Not sure what is your strategy.... Especially knowing you are having some client funds that need to be spent on Moneros... Buy low sell high ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) As for moneroclub otc trading, yes it was me, no i havent sold anything. I lost my password and havent found it yet. Oh well i will just make a new account.

I have noticed something that is good. Monero is getting more and more difficult to follow if you have limited time. More news, more supporters, more discussions. Its not like the most exciting thing in the world yet but still... That being said, i have sold a bit above the prices we currently are and wait for a retraction at least to 0.00156. Hopefully i will manage to have my orders filled. If not i will still be happy with my long term stash ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

For the proposal of changing halving time from 2 years to something smaller like 3 months or 6 months miners replied before that this way they are going to lose profit.
Seeing now that miners have vastly exited (like 75% less hashare than peak) i would like to reopen the question. Just the question in order to have some discussions. 6 months halving is still possible and it could bring some speculation to the coin which means probably better prices and hopefully bigger hashrate.
If miners still think that it is not a good idea then no problem at my end. Though i would still like to hear from them some ideas of how to stimulate price/hashrate.
