241  Economy / Economics / Re: I went London i have questions now the wealthy life there on: February 18, 2024, 07:28:59 PM
~
My question is are people actually that rich or they just to like to show off ?

You can't always judge something by how it looks on the outside.  Even though downtown London seems so fancy and rich, that tiny part doesn't show everything going on across the whole city or all the money struggles folks in the UK face and  we gotta remember too that being happy isn't just having a bunch of stuff, and people can get money from all kinds of places, not regular nine-to-five jobs.  Those big paychecks people get in London usually gotta cover some pretty big costs of living too.

Average salary comparison

Quote
The average salary in London is £60.5k. The UK average salary was £42.2k in 2023. Gross average salary is calculated for full-time employees. Employee has to be in the same job for over 12 months. The data collected is Tax Year Ending. The income includes incentive payments and are available for local government districts/counties.

242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler: "Bitcoin is not that decentralized" on: February 18, 2024, 06:52:58 PM
The network may be "decentralized"...

Bitcoin network IS decentralized! Dont twist the facts.

but what happens when big companies, governments, and institutions accumulate all of the BTC (or at least, most of it)? Without people "owning" BTC (self custody), the blockchain will become the sole playground of the aforementioned entities. I could be wrong, though.  Undecided

First of all, big companies, governments, and institutional investors cannot forcibly take your coins. So if you are an individual who wants to keep your BTC in self-custody, youll always have that right...  unless you opt to sell off your stash, that is!  Sure, selling might mean rebuying at a higher price later, but thats on you, buddy.  You cannot have a global decentralized internet currency without a free market.

Really, the only way bitcoin loses its decentralization is if the bulk of node operators voluntarily shut down their setups.  But I dont see that happening in the foreseeable future.
243  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: A Bet on COPA - versus - Craig Wright $1.1 million dollars ! on: February 18, 2024, 06:01:11 PM
If whether you think I am just making a joke to entertain you that is fine.
If you think I am trying to scam you then that you must provide evidences that
I am trying to scam you. Any way what so ever is your opinion, your opinion is merely your opinion.

Well, in arguments like this, whoever makes some big claim has to be the one to prove it.  So yeah, since you offered up this "Virgin Block award of 50 Bitcoin" - which folks doubted - really the burden of proof is on you.  I mean you started all this by promising the prize right? So you gotta back your word up now that people are skeptical.

Betting is forbidden where you bet your money in expectation that you will win or lose your money.

What are you talking about? Betting is not forbidden. In fact, we have entire boards dedicated exclusively to betting and gambling.
244  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: A Bet on COPA - versus - Craig Wright $1.1 million dollars ! on: February 17, 2024, 10:59:23 PM
The Block is #78001   14eN6TKrcbxmDeYK77RbzbJZm7iSDVT94g

If you can sign the message from that address, and prove that you really have access to 50BTC, that would be great!

Otherwise, you are "a brazen liar and fraud". Just like CSW.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Buying and Selling of Casino Accounts (Discussion thread) on: February 17, 2024, 10:08:37 PM
Now, my question is..
- is it right to sell ones casino account, most especially when the account is KYCed?

No. I dont think is right. there are ethical and legal risks involved.  The account has your personal identity attached to it, so you could potentially be liable if illegal activities occur later.

Quote
- Do casinos have any policy against account sells?

Yes. Most sites prohibit account transfers in their terms and conditions now.

Quote
- If you have the opportunity of buying a casino account, would you buy or build yours from afresh?

Actually, I did it once upon a time. In the past, before stringent KYC regulations transferring accounts occurred more freely. But I would not do it again.

Quote
- Would you sell your casino account if you decide to leave gambling completely, most especially, your KYCed account? If yes, how do you trust the buyer?

No. The risks outweigh potential rewards.

Quote
- Over all, is casino account trading legitimate? If yes, should I create a thread where gamblers can easily post their casino account sell ads?

Nope, casino account trading is a no-go.

Quote
Lets make this thread a place to discuss everything related to buying and selling of casino account?

Is that a question?  Cheesy
246  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has anyone used the 'Bitgamo' platform for cashing out BTC without KYC? on: February 17, 2024, 09:21:59 PM
Receiving 'Account related' advice from an account holder two years younger than mine is surprisingly odd. What a strange world we live in! Unlike some, I don't post solely for the sake of pursuing the so-called 'Legendary' status; I prefer to post only when it's truly necessary.

WTF are you talking about? I have never given you any 'account related' advice as far as I know. You can do whatever the fuck you want, but I dont be surprised if people dont fall for your little 'tricks'.

Here is a piece of 'life-related' advice: Be smart. Dont waste your time on stupid things. Life is to short for that.
247  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Has anyone used the 'Bitgamo' platform for cashing out BTC without KYC? on: February 16, 2024, 10:54:06 PM
Your comment gives the impression that you're suggesting I have a connection to or benefit from the mentioned site. However, I merely inquired about its legitimacy. I never claimed it to be legitimate. I mentioned 'Yahoo Finance' as a reference point, prompting me to seek insights from this forum. As I fully trust replies of users in this forum.

Your post gave that impression.  We regularly see similar situations with brand new accounts or those returning after a long period of inactivity, like in your case, leading us to believe they might be alt accounts used for this specific purpose.

They pretend to ask legitimate questions about scam sites with the obvious goal of actually promoting the site.

EDIT: The last time you used this account was to post this fake news:
***BREAKING *** Bitcoin ETF is approved

That was over two years ago! Well, I guess you could say your announcement was just "a little" premature.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do cryptocurrency increase the standard of living on: February 16, 2024, 09:45:01 PM
I think you are right mate, it is not only left for Bitcoin to  improve the standard of living of  an individual, the person will have to show a effort of responsibility and of course right information plays a vital role in determining how well a person would be. With the right information, one can get the actual knowledge of the concept of Bitcoin and even find potential project that can life changing opportunity. So it not only left for Bitcoin alone, you have to be consistent and disciplined while dealing with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole.

Yeah, personal responsibility plays a big role if people wanna cash in on everything Bitcoin might offer. But we cannot ignore how stuff like getting schooling, or just having a steady economy also shapes someones odds at bettering their life and  both the drives within us and the systems around us matter when we talk about how Bitcoin might help people.

Moreover, it is possible to live on Bitcoin, but don't confuse it with a pay check….don't expect your pay weekly or monthly,
~

Why not give living on Bitcoin a shot? I know it aint for everyone, but its a super interesting experiment in being financially independent.  Theres whole groups and stuff focused on making this possible for people.  Depending on where you live, you could even convince your boss to pay your monthly salary in Bitcoin - I heard thats doable in some parts of the world.  Or you can look around for a job in the Bitcoin space, maybe making new projects or something and  point is theres a crapload of possibilities if you feel like giving this lifestyle a shot.
249  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Can't log into freebitco.in is it ok? on: February 16, 2024, 09:14:37 PM
What gives? Anyone else having trouble.

Yeah, it seems like that free bitcoin site was just having some temporary problems on their end.  I guess their server crashed or something for a few hours... But, at least its back up now from the looks of it.

Next time theres an issue, you could always check their official forum thread first to see if others are reporting problems too.

250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we contribute accross local boards? on: February 16, 2024, 08:56:32 PM
I don't think knowing the language is enough to participate in discussions in local boards; by the forum rules it is, but I personally feel you need to have at least an average understanding of the happenings in that country to really follow discussions with the locals there.

Indian local board allows English which I can speak, this I don't think justifies me to be able to join conversations in that local board, I apply that rule to all other local boards.

I dont think you have to be so strict about it.  Whether jumping into a discussions depends a lot on what folks are talking about.  If you are clueless about the topic and got nothing useful to add, better to just read instead of barging in, no matter what board its happening on.  But say someone asks a technical question or starts a discussion that interests you - then you can chime in if you want even if it is the Nigerian or Indian board.  I mean if its in English and all and,  as long as you are constructive and not wasting peoples time.
251  Economy / Reputation / Re: Which campaign has the most spammers? on: February 15, 2024, 10:55:08 PM
I tried to apply to one campaign, but my attempts were unsuccessful.

Your attempt was unsuccessful, probably due to your weak activity on the forum. From glancing at your activity, it seems you only started posting more regularly in the past few days.  The managers tend to choose members who show long-term, meaningful involvement in the community discussions.  With just a short burst at the end, they dont have enough history to judge whether you will be a quality addition.

I decided that it was better to know where not to apply so as not to be in a party with spammers.

This has nothing to do with your first statement. And I dont think such a generalization is fair. Spamming is individual. If you dont want to be part with the spammers, just dont spam!
252  Economy / Reputation / Re: Impersonation of my wallet address. on: February 14, 2024, 08:52:55 PM
Mr shasan this is unbelievable. Did you see the part where i said i don't have my trx address on my head, this is the first time i using your service and the first time i am making use of my trx address.

This is not the first time that you have tried to use his loan services, because you already did it once at the beginning of the month:

Loan Amount: 160 USDT
Loan Purpose: Personal
Loan Repay Amount: 16 USDT
Duration: 1 Month
Type of Collateral: None
USDT TRC20 Address: TTY4ULCi58ubBR5RRqq9AQFyx5wRKkLVtH

Which makes this case even more suspicious, because why would you copy some random loan application instead of your own, which would at least reduce the possibility of making this kind of mistake?

I am not saying we have definitive proof here that you two are alt accounts - I want to give you the benefit of the doubt. But, because of your stupid and lazy mistake, you involved another member in this drama.
253  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitrue - good exchange? on: February 14, 2024, 07:23:51 PM
Bitrue doesnt sound great to be honest,  I will just stick to the main exchanges thanks anyway

I havent come across Bitrue before so cannot vouch for them.  When it comes to crypto exchanges, it is usually safest to stick with well-known, reputable ones.  You mentioned needing access to a particular altcoin thats not on other platforms - which one is it? Perhaps the community here can suggest better options, whether centralized exchanges or DEXs to meet your trading needs while minimizing risk.
Regardless, please be careful and do your own due diligence before depositing significant funds anywhere.  There are scammers targeting new traders eager to access obscure coins on shady exchanges.  It is an unfortunate reality we have to watch out for in this space.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do cryptocurrency increase the standard of living on: February 13, 2024, 10:59:28 PM
Knowing fully well that there is so many uneducated people around the world, how can cryptocurrency increase the standard of living

I doubt that it can. We cant expect some magic internet money to make all our lives richer, right? But, maybe it can help in some way.  People without banks, just using crypto to save up or send some money, for example.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BITCOIN CONTINUE TO RISE on: February 13, 2024, 10:53:39 PM
Who knows where this thing goes next.  I mean, it could blast off to the moon again if some big announcement happens.  Or maybe it hangs around the same price for awhile if things stay calm and  heck, it might even take a little dip before gathering steam to climb higher.  There is just so much going on that affects it - from news around the world to changing regulations to people getting caught up in FOMO.  I sure cant guess exactly what will happen, kinda like trying to predict what my silly cat is thinking half the time.

Anyway, point is nothing is guaranteed with Bitcoin.  Buckle up cause the ride tends to get bumpy.  But, makes it interesting at least!
256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going against the grain. on: February 12, 2024, 10:52:43 PM
I think now is a good time to take some profits and set it aside.
~

Well, let us hope no one was stupid enough to take that advice of yours. Have you ever heard of "Inverse Cramer"?  Cheesy
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going against the grain. on: February 11, 2024, 09:01:57 PM
~
When anything rises fast it comes back down almost every time.

I get what you are saying about selling when there is a lot of hype, but calling the tops and bottoms of the market is real tough.  Just look back over time at all the "pros" who bailed too early because they got scared and missed out on huge gains. Sure, taking profits makes sense when things get crazy, but good luck knowing when that is.  Half the time its just getting started.
Me personally, I try not to worry so much about predicting every wiggle.
258  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Currency Exchange Saint-Exchanger on: February 11, 2024, 08:50:55 PM
Welcome to the forum, Saint-Ex!

I checked out your exchange website and it looks like there is still some work to do.  Most of it is still in Russian even when I selected English and  this makes it seem like you rushed to get it out rather than taking the time to polish it up fully.  I want to provide some constructive feedback since this exchange seems new.  First impressions really matter so covering all the bases will encourage folks to stick around longer and maybe actually use your exchange.
259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Browser app with a crypto wallet. on: February 11, 2024, 08:36:49 PM
I get the point now. However a Bitcoiner have to look forward for more secured wallet than browser wallets as the browser wallets doesn't provide good security features to guide the support of Bitcoin but can secure altcoins with 80% of securities.
Meanwhile, Bitcoiners who's knows the importance of securities wants 100% secured wallet for themselves.

Where did you get those percentages from? Are there actual reports of Brave Wallet hacks to back up this claim?
Brave Software is a reputable company with many excellent developers and years of experience, Im pretty sure they wouldnt create something like that and put it on the market if it had security flaws.

This is absolutely what I am talking about as I haven't find it any on a CHROME browser.

That is why there are wallets as extensions and plugins for other browsers. Without them, there would be no Web3 and communication with decentralized applications would be much more difficult.
260  Economy / Exchanges / Re: cannot convert my ltc to usdt on: February 11, 2024, 08:17:17 PM
I dont want to buy anymore crypto at the moment

I understand that. But what are you going to do with $2 worth of USDT? You will still have to pay a withdrawal fee at the exchange you send your LTC to. I do not think it will be worth it. Maybe best to use LTC to pay for something online? Or just leave it in your wallet.
